If we have to wait 40ish minutes for a meal the food should at least be worth it. We ordered the chicken and waffle and breakfast tacos which were both super mid. I'm assuming they were understaffed in the front and back of house. The servers weren't rude or anything but we (a two top) paid $4 each for coffee and never got a refill. Service was good. We were there last Sunday and I ordered my old favorite, chicken and waffles. It was very disappointing. It used to be a delicious, flavorful little waffle, succulent, marinated large chunks of chicken fried to perfection with an egg on top. Best of all was the delicious sauce drizzled over the whole thing. Sunday it was a large, soggy, dry waffle, thin breaded chicken with no flavor at all. The egg was ok. I really enjoyed my experience here. The staff was phenomenal. I came in with three of my girlfriends to have brunch, and one of my friends brought her dog, and our dog was treated like royalty and even got her own dish. It's super chill cool vibes. This is my second time coming here. I really had a taste of everybody's food. It was really good. I enjoyed my huevos Ranchos I would critique and say it only needs to be a little bit spicier lol but that's my personal preference other than that, it was delicious. Everything else was good. The mocha latte was so delicious. I drank it quickly. I almost wanted to order like three more lol The vibe is super chill. Came early this morning to have breakfast before work, no one was in the restaurant. There's indoor seating and outdoor seating with garden views. Server was welcoming and nice to us. We shared the Denver omelette, which actually is the perfect size for one person, and we also shared the Belgian waffle, it came out one big waffle with strawberries, blueberries, and whipped cream. Had a coffee also, all came out to about $40. I thought it was cool because they allow dogs inside and outside, and we were totally debating to take the dog for this work trip but decided not to last minute so just know if you are a dog person, they are allowed here and welcomed. read more

Atmosphere/Service: The atmosphere and setting was very homey. It was my first time going there, and it felt like everyone knew one another. The waitress and waiter had a very positive attitude towards the customers. They were friendly and had conversations with everyone who walked through their doors. They had both indoor and outdoor seating. It is a dog-friendly restaurant. They even have a dog menu. I personally haven't seen that at a restaurant. Food: The food was absolutely delicious. They had plenty to choose from. I got the "Roxy's" Chicken & Waffles: it came with fried chicken tenderloins, served on top of a buttermilk waffle, with honey, bacon, and one sunny side egg. The chicken was so flavorful. It was well season and cooked right. It was crunchy and flaky. It wasn't oily either. That was a huge plus. I also had a bite of the Huevos Rancheros: it came with two fried eggs, two corn tortillas, mashed black beans, pepper jack cheese, grill jalapeño and your choice of salsa served with breakfast potatoes and we added the Carne Asada for five dollars. I also tasted the Avocado Toast: it was serve with guacamole spread sprinkled with red flakes, extra olive oil, cherry tomatoes, arcadian mix, and balsamic glazed drizzle. It was so delicious . We got a side of onion rings they were so good and crispy. Also the pancakes it was thin it looked like a crepe. It was cute came with a paw print. The cappuccino was tasty. The organic strawberries lemonade was delicious and refreshing. The latte was also delicious. Overall: I'd go back if I was in the area again. GETTING HERE: Located in Camarillo off Carmen. It's in the Trader Joe's and CVS shopping center, next door to Spencer Mackenzie's. REVIEW: Cute place with a cute vibe! Lots of doggo decor, which is always a plus for this animal lover. I found myself in need of sustenance and had Braxton's bookmarked for a good while. Finally made it inside! Ordering was a breeze, and the service was awesome, friendly, and sincere. (My only caveat is they had the music PUMPING on our visit, and it was hard to hear my guests. :( We both ordered the Club and it was fantastic! I love Clubs when they are made so tall that you have to descontruct the sandwich to eat it. That's the only way a Club should be prepared, IMHO. :) The sodas were tasty, and we enjoyed the open seating area (we opted to eat inside, although there is plenty of outside seating as well). We stopped here on a whim instead of waiting in the In-N-Out line, and unfortunately, the experience was a bit disappointing. We sat outside, which was nice, but the table was dirty when we arrived. I mentioned it to our server, but it was never cleaned. We ended up sitting there anyway, but it was surprising that it wasn't addressed. Our food took over 30 minutes to arrive. At one point, the owner/manager came by and asked if we were still waiting on our order. He explained that the hamburger buns had been 86'd and they had to make more, but we were never informed of that by our server. The chicken pesto sandwich was fine, but the menu said it came with fries and I was given a side salad instead (which I didn't eat). My husband enjoyed his burger and fries. They were nice and made things nice for our little dog, but that's probably about as good as it got. The breakfast "burrito" looked nice, but the hot link didn't have the crisp I as looking for so after a bite you're left with mostly casing versus staying unified. The egg was unseasoned so it didn't add anything and almost took away from the wrap, and I think for the size for the price the value is not even close. The tater tots were okay but could've been crispier? The thing that let me down the most though was that there were two works and the owner? For 1 party inside and 3 outside, but it seemed like it took forever to get our order taken, water refilled, and the check at the end, and we tried to ask nicely but the gentleman who finally helped didn't seem happy to be there so it ended the day on a bad note. The worst. We went here while waiting the 30 mins for the Boiling Crab a block away. We ordered a lemonade, an espresso martini, a Coke Zero and michelada. The lemonade and michelada were good. We have been here a couple of times WITH our dog of course. I found this spot because I wanted a dog friendly place to eat at as a family. Love that the dogs are accommodated for both indoor and outdoor space. Food was good from my recollection. We have gotten items off of the breakfast and lunch menu. My friend and I came here on a Sunday morning around 10:30 and there was no wait for our table. We sat outside and were able to enjoy the company of so many dogs coming in and out :) Our food was so delicious! We ordered a tater tot poutine and a bentleys chicken sandwich and both did not disappoint. The poutine was heavy and a lot of food but was herbaceous, meaty, and had a perfect sunny side up egg. The chicken sandwich had an amazing sauce on it and I especially love coleslaw on my chicken sandwiches. The tater tots that came on the side were great too! The ranch that came with it was just okay. Overall great food! All of the staff were so nice and kind and accommodating! I do like how this place is dog friendly and every server had a smile and asked every table if they needed anything. The food. I ordered the chicken and waffles. That being said we felt we owed it to you to point out the following in the hopes that you can make these minor tweaks to bring my next visit up to a 5 star review. We understand that food costs are high, as are labor cost's however if I'm paying $17.50 already, please charge me $19 and improve the quality and taste. I'm a huge clean freak and germaphobe.. did not appreciate seeing that. Restaurants should keep everything clean. That dust accumulation is a huge oversight and lack of proper cleaning. It was just not the cute spot I was expecting from the get go. Our food was not good nor memorable. The gravy tasted too much like roasted garlic. The chicken lacked seasoning. I got Roxy's Chicken and waffles (waffle and chicken tenderloins, scrambled egg and gravy.) My friend got the Avo toast. She did not enjoy it as the mashed Avo was black. There was an up charge for only egg whites - no biggie. We both didn't love our meals. Our bill wasn't cheap .. her Avo toast was about $17. Service from our first server was good. The second server who came to pick up our tab didn't even say hi, just just took my card and sent the hand held charging device on the table for me to finish paying. I won't be back. My friend and I had lunch at Braxton's a a few days ago. We chose the restaurant based on the Yelp reviews. We were both incredibly disappointed. The portions were very small and the food tasteless. Although the restaurant wasn't crowded, the service was very poor as well. There were a few tables on the patio being occupied but only a couple of tables inside. All in all it was a very disappointing experience. The only positive thing I can say is that it is very nice that animals are welcomed and they had some cute animal prints inside. I have located my personal favorite restaurant to satisfy a sandwich craving ! I've dined in Braxton's Kitchen plenty of times throughout the years, but I honestly haven't been moved enough to write a review until now. I've only ever tried their Roxy's Chicken and Waffles until recently, when I had ordered their chicken club sandwich togo. I'm going to be honest, I'm not a sandwich girl and I rarely eat sandwiches, but omg I am a fan of their chicken club sandwich. In the chicken club sandwich I added alfalfa sprouts and avocado. I love my greens! The sandwich was filled with fresh ingredients, the bread was toasted perfectly almost pan fried with butter or oil. I can taste the love that went into creating the sandwich with each bite. I kept thinking about the sandwich and ordered it again today. I added cucumber in addition to the alfalfa sprouts and avocado. Omg, I could cry. Not an ingredient missed or messed up. It's everything that I wanted and could ask for in a sandwich.
