I have been eating at this restaurant for the past 23 years and since it has new ownership, it has gone downhill. Let's start with my wife's breakfast first we had to return my wife's drink due to the creamer was bad. Second, the piece of ham has been cut, even smaller than in the past and the pancakes tasted like they were cooked on an unclean griddle that burnt oil was on (disgusting). I had an all meat omelette, which tasted very good, but the whole omelette looked like it was even smaller than normal. I decided to get grits instead of hashbrowns because this establishment cooks with some sort of seed oil that upsets my stomach, but when I got the grits in its place, they had some sort of weird oil that tasted very disgusting on it, which was not butter. The biscuit tasted all right because I only used strawberry smokers jelly on it. The waitress did not bother to ask us how our meal was even halfway through our meal nor did she ask if I wanted to refill on my sweet tea. Looks like I'm gonna have to no longer go to this establishment and maybe go somewhere else that cooks good food. Our visit was Thursday afternoon for lunch. This seems to be a newly renovated local spot that offers southern comfort food. The prices are reasonable for lunch. My parents ordered a full chicken fried steak to share and I had the cheeseburger plate. The breading did not stick to the steak well but had a decent flavor. My burger was unseasoned and came with mustard, although the waitress put it in for mayo. I confirmed the burger came with dill pickles and ordered extra on the side. Unfortunately, the recipe was recently changed to include bread and butter pickles. Our waitress explained the "line" still offered dill pickles and I just swapped them out. They also have a lunch buffet for $11 for a meat entree, 2 vegetables, bread and dessert. The food is not glamorous, just good homestyle dishes like grandmom used to make.
