I have mixed feelings about our visit to this little place. First of all... it's super cute! We walked in with our 2 kids to a slightly older crowd that I'm sure was local. I felt like we intruded on these ladies lunches! I'm looking all over for a menu and finally ask the girl behind the counter and she pulls a menu out. I'm was so confused as to why they don't just keep them out. The next thing that got me is that there weren't prices on the menu. We ordered 2 pulled pork and 1 chicken salad and it was about $38. The girl behind the counter was very sweet and accommodating, especially for my picky kids. My kids love pulled pork and they said this was okay but they preferred grandpa's. It did look a little dry but my husband said it was okay. My chicken salad sandwich was dry as well. The potato salad was really good though!!! They both could have used a little more seasoning. Thankfully there was salt on the table. Now for the star of the show... the pickles!!! I'm the only real pickle eater and I thought they were really good... enough so that I bought a big container. It was a little odd because the pickles on my plate were different textures. My husband actually noted the same thing. We went back and got a Dr Pepper cake. It was moist and had an interesting flavor. I don't think I would have guessed DP if I hadn't known it before. read more

During a DayTrip to Lampassas, TX we were looking for something other than Burgers for lunch. We saw Sweet Pickle Deli on Yelp and we were glad we did. Road construction hid the restaurant but we were able to find it using the World's Largest Spur Landmark. We both had the pimento sandwiches and the soup of the day. Both were excellent. read more

Quaint little sandwich place. If you're looking for lighter or healthier food I would suggest. Quite little sit down spot, open kitchen, simple but delicious offerings. We had chicken salad sandwiches and potato salad, can get chips if you want. Drink included. Came with watermelon slice that was perfect and the pickles that came with sandwich really put it over the top. Nice sweet pickles slices. Glad I stopped, you should too. Like I said I would consider this a small mom and pop sandwich place. I'll be back on my next road trip! read more

Definitely worth a short detour off the main drag. Kind service, fresh food, and a clean dining area. I devoured my chicken salad sandwich and bacon potato salad. Both were delicious. The menu is small, which tells me it's all fresh and made with love. It also came out fast so I could get back on the road. Check it out! read more

Stopped in on the way to a family reunion and so happy we held out 20minutes worth being hangry because the service was so so nice. Atmosphere was amazing as well as the smell Food was homemade and delicious, don't skip the dessert if they have it! Will make this a regular stop every reunion! read more

Small town and heart is in the right place, but I think for the food options and setup, the prices are a bit too high. Service was polite and very accommodating. Also, be mindful that the cash register is old and does not clear/reset so the bill may be double. Have to clarify before paying. read more

The cutest little deli, with the sweetest people working there. The chicken salad sandwich and the Dr. Pepper cake were delicious! I arrived just as they opened and was served quickly. Very good food. Loved the pickles! A little hard to find. World's Largest SPUR is a landmark, but still hard to see from the highway. The Lima bean soup was flavorful with tender beans, chicken salad on rye bread and CRISPY potato chips were great! read more

Road tripping from Dallas to Marble Falls and found this little gem though Yelp. I don't know what I was expecting, but I wasn't expecting a handful of tables, a handful of menu options and simple sandwiches to taste so good! We pretty much got one of each sandwich with my family of 4 (we didn't get the daily special) with a jar of pickles and tortilla soup. My pimento cheese on rye was incredible. The flavors in the pimento cheese were excellent! My husband got the chicken salad with potato salad. That potato salad.. oh my goodness! It's definitely homemade and I think it's bacon but it was fabulous! The chicken salad had apples but wasn't the sweet kind and it too was excellent. Kids just got the ham and turkey and it was fine. I wasn't really crazy about the tortilla soup though. It was a good soup, but I wouldn't consider it a tortilla par say. It's not cheap but the sandwiches came with a side and tea, water or pink lemonade. You won't be sorry!!! Take some pickles home! They are (interestingly) really good! read more

Hole in the wall, somewhat hard to find. No one will greet you. Or explain the the menu is a partially erased framed glass panel. $9 sandwich with no fixings. I had the chicken salad and it wasn't bad but it definitely wasn't worth $9. The potato salad is good. Boyfriend had a dry ham and cheese sandwich with lays chips, again not worth the money. My friend got the pimento cheese sandwich and it was extremely sour tasting. Overall, very unimpressed don't know why this place is rated so highly. It has potential to be super cute but the customer service aspect needs a lot of help. read more

Nice place, small cozy little sandwich shop. I'd go for lunch everyday if I lived closer. Prices are good, food is better. Name is perfect for this place. Pickles are amazing! The pulled pork is good but not great, but I grew up in pulled pork country so it's hard to beat that. The potato salad is homemade and delicious, with huge chunks of wonderful bacon in it. And you can get anything you want to go! They don't have sweet tea though, not surprising though considering the majority of their patrons seem to be senior citizens. If you live within a 30-45 minute drive of lampasas, or are just passing through this place is worth the drive. They cater too, so if you have an event or party where you need sandwiches or cookies or salad, dont forget about them. They are only open for lunch though so it is hard to get there in time. read more

This isn't really what it claimed to be. They do not have very many things to choose from. I got the pimento cheese and it was very good but on the day I went they had pimento cheese, pulled pork and chicken salad. Price was very high for such a simple meal. read more

Wow! My husband and I stopped in for a quick lunch on our drive back from the Hill Country. What a gem! Everything is made fresh from scratch! We had the pimento cheese and the chicken salad sandwich both on fresh marbled rye bread. The potato salad is delicious! They include some of their homemade sweet dill pickles. So good! The cakes reminded me of the cakes my Mamaw used to make . We had lemon cake and Dr Pepper chocolate cake both extremely fresh and both with icing that was to die for. They also make casseroles! Soooo, we left with a pound of their pimento cheese, a tub of their sweet pickles and 2 casseroles; chicken spaghetti and poppyseed chicken. If we lived closer we would eat here all the time. Quaint, quirky, and really good food! This is attached to a Real Estate business, so it can be easy to overlook from the road. We had burgers that tasted like the 4th of July in November. Will make this a regular stop on road trips to the hill country. read more

We had a pimento cheese with potato salad and the ham sandwich.. WOW! All three were ther best I've ever had. I'd drive hours just to have that potato salad. This is a great place for a simple home made sandwich. read more

A traditional club is a triple decker sandwich with meat (usually just turkey but sometimes turkey and ham) with bacon and cut into quarters. The "club" sandwich they serve is three meats, no bacon and not a triple decker sandwich so I am not sure why they call it a Club sandwich. It was tasty, but I ordered because I thought it would be a traditional club sandwich. In all fairness, it does not say bacon on the menu. Again, fresh sandwiches and I highly recommend. I look forward to coming back and trying some of the other sandwiches but you cannot go wrong if you order their special Chicken Salad.
