If I could give zero stars I would DONOT deal with Curtis . He will not keep contractual obligations and will turn his back on you . Pls use someone else , save yourself a head ache. There a few people in this great town of great ppl that are know to be shady and hugely unprofessional, stay as far away as you can from Curtis and country life , Anderson construction, or destructive as well. They call them 3/4 Anderson,because that's how much of your project will get done . I found out far too late . Country Life Reality Out of all the realty places in Wrightwood. This one is by far the best. The realtors are so nice. My fiancé and I stopped by the other realities in Wrightwood and we were rudely acknowledged. They had no care in helping us what so ever. Until we went to country life reality. I wish I could remember her name but the realtor who walked us through some homes was so amazing. I would and have recommended this reality to friends and family. read more

I filled out all the paperwork to rent a house for them, Gave them $15 for a credit check and passed that with flying colors. I had recently sold my house and have $35 grand in the bank from that and no debts!. plus I work and make $1900 mth. The house I wanted to rent was $925/mth. Then I get a call from Debra saying that I didn't make enough income to rent the house. Debra said my monthly income needed to be 30% above what the rent is ($1203/mth). My income is almost $700 above that! I felt Debra is totally unprofessional and can't do math. Generally speaking people who rent *can't* afford a house payment. I think CLR is confusing the income u need to buy a house with the income u need to rent! I would not recommend CLR to buy, sell, rent from or use to rent a house through them. read more

Terrible if your renting a property from them. Seem to discriminate against certain people. Snobby and rude most of the time.

I do not recommend using this company if you are from out of town or a non-resident! They are nice and helpful till you start to deal with them. Then they are rude and unprofessional!!! I have try to deal with them twice now, using two different agents. Both times, I've received the hello how are you, welcome, how can we help you. But when it comes to making offers, they become very different toward you. Just recently we went up to like at a short sale. The place was a terrible! Should be on the market till it's cleaned up. Then we went and looked around at other listing of theirs including one that was not on the market yet. We really liked it and were going to make an CASH offer. But at the last minute, another agent had an offer in hand? My wife worked in real estate and knows this ploy to get high bids. Now this would have been ok. Except when we told the "listing" agent that we deal through a family Realtor/ Broker who we trust to handle all our transactions, they didn't even want to work with us any further. Now, what owner selling their home would not want a cash deal? It is a very easy transaction with no hassles. So our quest continues, but we will not be dealing with Country Life again! Take my advise. Go across the street and see Dan Fisher at Park Place Realty. At least he is welling to work with you!!!!! Good luck! read more

Pam Mortimer should be ashamed of herself! She was the listing agent for her friends house, the Horns. Pam also lived across the street from them and they were friends. The Horns put their house up for sale and Pam was the listing agent. Dan Fisher was the agent we purchased the home from. There was NO mention that the property line came right through our front yard at an angle. Mr.Horn said the property line in the back was at least 100' up from where it actually was. The lot behind our house was for sale and in escrow but no one advised us of this until my husband encountered the new owner the day our escrow closed. We were new buyers and depended on Dan and Pam to be honest but they were not. Pam was helping her "friends" sell a house that would have been otherwise impossible without changing the property lines that ended up taking 2 yrs. They new owner of the property behind us took out 8 pine trees, roots and all. We went to DAN a few times and he just brushed us off. The next 7 yrs were HELL! Pam and Dan were so deceitful and ended up with a hefty commission. We should have contacted a lawyer from the beginning and so regret this but we did not have any experience in this field and depended on these people to represent us. It took us 2 yrs to get the property lines changed and ended up buying the lot from the new owner. When we put the house on the market everyone who came to look asked us about the property lines. I ended up losing my whole investment and my sanity! Both of them should be condemned for their deceitfulness and lack of any morals! read more

Country Life has a nice location and a staff that is polite.....to your face. I was excited to move up to Wrightwood and went to Country Life first to look at rentals. When I called inquiring about looking at some I told them that I am from out of town and can't just come up there on a whim. They told me what they normally do with rentals is that before they show them they want me to drive by, peer in the windows, investigate the outside, and then if I decide I want to rent it then come back another day to look at the inside. I reminded them I am from out of town, gave them the list of houses I wanted to look at, and in return they made it clear they were unwilling to show me the houses until I came back another day after I did my "investiating". Unfortunately only their houses were in my budget so I did my drive by and went back to ask for a tour of the inside. They were unwilling to show it to me. My realtor just handed me the keys and said "go look at it". I asked if they could come with me incase I had any questions and they told me no. So I went and looked at it and made the huge mistake of renting. Knowing I was not from the area the realtor company made little disclosure about the house. They didn't tell me things that would be crutial in my decision making. Things like....oh by the way the house isn't insulated AT ALL....so your electric bill will be 300 dollars in the winter time. I would ask about certain things to be fixed and would either never get done or would have to call and nag the land lord about it. When I finally got fed up and moved out.......(note, I am not a neat freak, but am very clean) I asked about my security deposit and the landlord was very rude. They made it seem like I completely trashed the house and it will never look good ever again because I lived there. They completely talked down to me and tried to tell me what a terrible renter I was. Apparently paying rent early and keeping the house clean makes you a terrible renter. If that's how they treat me, I can't imagine how they would react actually having a bad renter. I would never recommend this real estate company they have terrible service and will be nice..........only when they are getting money from you. After you stop paying them......their true side really comes out. Even the rental management in Victorville outshines them, and that says a lot. read more
