    Everybody likes rock candy!

While spending time in Cherokee sightseeing. I walked into this little gem. Mainly focused on traditional Fudge making but well stocked in many other beautiful delights to. I honestly was gonna get just fudge but then i noticed the gentleman had Divinities in stock n i have only heard about it. I had a rough idea of what it was n after tasting it? Like oh my god! It's the closest to the Merengue we make back home in Puerto Rico. Our version is crunchy n packs a sugar punch. Country Maid Fudge's version is so rich, heavy n creamy. So flavorful n yes it also packs such a wonderful sugar punch! Lol i got creative this morning and dropped half a tablespoon of it in my coffee! Bought the pecan log for my mom it is one huge log! Very tasty n sweet. Also got the rocky road fudge. It's one of my favorites flavors when i try fudge from all confectioneries. So far this is the best Fudge i have tried here in North Carolina. Im looking forward to try others. I highly recommend this candy store for those looking for the country style "mom n pop" type thing. I always love these better than the bigger n heavy stock ones. There's just no beating Confections made with love n fresh ingredients vs something made in bulk n god knows how long it's been in a box.

Love the peanut butter fudge with caramel and marshmallows!

Our favorite Smoky Mt fudge and taffy shop! Great little real hometown vibe shop with real quality fudge for a reasonable price.

The chocolate peanut butter fudge at Country Maid is, in my opinion, absolutely the best fudge in the Smoky Mountains.

Just amazing fudge. The lady at the counter was super nice and gave us samples which we could decide. Absolutely recommend it.

Awesome fudge and turtles. My mom, who is hard to impress, loved it. The service was great and prices were reasonable for great treats.

We shipped some fudge to our daughter in San Francisco. She got it and loved it! It really is wonderful fudge. I like the maple walnut.

We ate lunch around 2:00 p.m. I ordered the Grilled Reuben, and my wife ordered the fried bologna sandwich. Less than an hour after our meal, I developed severe diarrhea, and every time I tried to eat afterward, it became worse. My symptoms lasted for several hours, continuing until about 1:00 a.m. My wife also became sick shortly after me, though her illness wasn't quite as severe as mine. The only other meal we had that day was breakfast at around 7:30 a.m. at a different restaurant in another state, several hours before lunch. While I can't say with absolute certainty what caused our illness, the timing of our symptoms makes us strongly suspect it was related to the food we ate here. Because of this experience, we won't be bringing our family back.

The reason I didn't write a review after the first visit was because I needed to give them a second chance. The first visit was not good. All I will say about it is thank goodness they removed the lobster bisque from the menu. And word of advice about most restaurants, you don't want to be one of the last tables before closing. No one wants to be there! Ok, back to January 2026! We had 8:15 reservations. We stopped by to see if we could be seated earlier and they said they had nothing available. Ummmmm, there was like 20-30 tables open! They just didn't have the servers. So we waited and got Kyle, who again was awesome. Because of something wrong with my throat, I could only order soft food. So I ordered the Veal Osso Buco Ravioli and Au Gratin potatoes. The ravioli was a table win for all of us! Best bite of the night. The potatoes were not a winner. Au gratin potatoes are supposed to be in a flavorful cheesy cream sauce. We got a bowl of diced white potatoes with melted cheese on top. No seasoning. No sauce. I was looking for soft food, not flavorless! It was not a good look for a steak house. Speaking of steak, JD did enjoy his steak both visits, so they've got that very important part going for them. The restaurant is huge. I saw a sign out front that its capacity is 600+. But with their staffing issues, at least they realize not to seat a full restaurant. They even had signs up that To-Go orders were not allowed the Friday night we were there. Would I eat here again, yes. Is it a must have when at the casino? Not for me.

I mentioned to her that I had the regular crust pizza before Melissa immediately put my order in for a regular pizza and she walked over and gave instructions to the pizza creators I was truly impressed with Mellisa's warm caring disposition given to me with ease I felt with the return and re-ordered Melissa has outstanding customer service skills. That's a rarity today to show compassionate, empathy and going out of her way to make sure my meal was superb quality.
