This chocolate shop was a great place to get souvenirs for my family as well as some treats for my wife and me. The staff here was SUPER friendly. Please stop by here when you're in the area.

I was craving ice cream and the Chocolate Shoppe delivered! Deliciously creamy rich chocolate ice cream in a fresh waffle cone, it was exactly what I was looking for.

My wife had seen The Chocolate Shoppe on Yelp and all the positive reviews. It is located downtown and as we walked around we stopped in. There is a large selection of tasty chocolates sold by the piece/total weight. We did see a few bags of pre-packed chocolate as well but we took advantage of picking our own favorites. The employees were very friendly and helped answer questions. I also decided to get a single scoop of cookies and cream ice cream on a waffle cone. We felt the prices were very reasonable too.

Fabulous chocolates with multiple chocolates to get. And ice creams too! Street parking

$2.60 each piece. Great chocolates but awful customer service

The lady at the counter wasnt pleasant and acted irritated with my questions on the chocolates. You'd think if I was going to buy 2 dozen truffles (at $2.60 each) to ship out to friends, she'd at least pretend to be nice! And when I gave the the coupon (from the magazine that was an in-store coupon with a minimum of $10 purchase) for the chocolates, she wouldn't accept them as I didnt inform her about the coupon "sooner". But she gave the discount to the older white lady after me. That lady and I looked at each other and shook our heads. I visit NC monthly but I'd never patronize a store with ugly customer service. My green bills can go elsewhere I'm treated better!! PS - This is a review from my December 11th visit

This shop was awesome and the ladies inside were very sweet (pun intended). The dark chocolate is soo good, I left a pic of my dark chocolate sea salt caramel! Little places like this make Bryson City a happy place and you don't get that feeling in the big cities!

Came here in the evening looking for some great ice cream and found it here. Very friendly staff and they allow samples if you ask! The place does way more than ice cream and has a lot of different chocolate treats, definitely for anyone with a sweet tooth. I ended up getting half praline and half blueberry cheesecake and i absolutely loved it. The praline is very sweet so be aware, but i loved the flavor and it was exactly what i needed after a long day of hiking. The blueberry cheesecake was also great! More cheesecake than blueberry but i didn't mind at all, definitely recommend this as well. A single scoop only came out to about $4, much cheaper than what I'm used to Overall, loved the place and recommend it to anyone looking for ice cream. Hard to miss and lovely staff and food. Look out for a free peanut brittle sample, also delicious!

No way should any chocolate turtle cost $5 each. 4 chocolate turtles $20. Are they flying their chocolate in from Europe? Crazy

The bagels were very different from any we have had before, had a very home baked bread taste. The sweet potato bowl was very flavorful and hit just the right note for lunch. We did get a couple baked goods to go as well. The coffee was pretty good, they have tons of flavors to choose from and make some signature drinks too. The staff is very friendly and will give excellent recommendation. The decor is rustic cute. Worth a visit!!!

For a busy coffee house? 10 minutes from order is the norm for a place with its act together. 15 minutes? Newbie time. 25 minutes? Def ownership understaffing. 32 minutes, from order? I've been here before. Tourist. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Once upon a time? They had a good enough selection of decent pastries, in the case. Today? Sparse, like the Sahara of Sweet. A couple of very unappetizing cookies. No croissant. No cinnamon rolls. Ehhhhh. Dolce expanded their cafe menu. Likewise it, too, is slothmade and slothserved. With success comes a certain level of complacency. Even arrogance. $30, for your t-shirt? Baker, please. This has been a destination spot, for tourists. Competition, with the level around them, should provide incentive to get their act together. Kind of sad.

We stopped in on the recommendation of a local shop owner while we were visiting Bryson City, and I'm so glad we did. Being from the Tampa area, we're pretty picky about Cuban sandwiches. They're a staple back home, so our expectations were high. The owner happened to be there and confidently recommended the Cuban, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. There was a short wait while it was made fresh, but it was well worth it. The sandwich was perfectly balanced, flavorful, and honestly tasted like a little piece of home. We packed it up and enjoyed it before heading out for an afternoon of tubing, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The shop itself is charming, clean, and has a welcoming atmosphere where you can sit down and enjoy your meal. We didn't try the sweets this time, but they looked delicious and give us another reason to come back. Meeting the owner made the experience even better. He was friendly, welcoming, and clearly takes pride in what he serves. Whether you're a fellow Floridian missing a great Cuban or you've never had one before, do yourself a favor and stop by High Test Deli & Sweet Shop. It's absolutely worth it. This is an easy 5-star recommendation, and we'll be back the next time we're in Bryson City.

It's not always easy to find a place that delivers good food, good service, and good value, but High Test Deli did all three. We would definitely stop by again the next time we're in the area.

Everett Street Diner is our most favorite place for breakfast - hands down. Hubby and I have tried many items, none have disappointed. The owner - Mr Everett Street Diner ALWAYS greets everyone with a smile and friendly conversation. Family oriented, he welcomes you in, sits you down and makes you feel like you're in his kitchen. If (more like when) you wait for your table, it's never long. The staff bust their butts and don't make you feel rushed at all.
