I…read morecalled them on the phone to see if they had defrosted shrimp for me to cook that night and she was amazing on the phone. Very friendly, gave me prices and sizes, and told me she would take care of me when I got there. I got there about an hour later, didn't tell her it was me on the phone, and STILL got great customer service. Welcomed me to the store, was quick to offer options, I even needed more shrimp than what they had and she went out of her way to go get more and thaw it for me. I went to grab a few extra things and by the time I came back she already had the extra shrimp bagged and tagged, ready to go. She was cleaning, helping, and being friendly, all by herself! Keep up the good work girl! I can tell she loves her job and I love her energy!

A lot of the clientele seem to have a lot of tattoos which heightens the shopping experience, it's a creative crowd along with the usual senior citizens. The deli wasn't happening but I'm sure it has its moments. Reasonable prices. Would go back, mainly for the zesty pickles.

It was nearly 24 hours before I realized what I had done. When I called the store, Ken, the manager, let me know my wallet had been found and turned in. He couldn't say who turned it in, but I truly believe it may have been one of the employees who gathers the shopping carts from the parking lot -- and if that's the case, I'm especially grateful. In a time when honesty can't always be assumed, this meant a great deal to me. This experience truly solidified my loyalty to this store. Thank you to the team for doing the right thing.

My family and I have shopped at this Vons for years…read more Unfortunately, they have cut staff back so much that it's not worth it to go there anymore. If you aren't going to have staff at your deli or your meat counter, actively helping customers, then don't have it. It's pointless. I went in Saturday at 2 in the afternoon to get coleslaw. The one person working, on a Saturday, had to clean something and then put something else a way, before I could be waited on. The coleslaw display was empty. I asked if she had anymore. She maybe but it would take her 20 minutes or more to find it in the back. I still asked her to look. She left and maybe she looked maybe she didn't. She came back and said no they don't have any. I went to Stater Brothers where there were people who were actively serving customers and got my coleslaw. I almost don't blame the lady at the Vons counter because she was the only one there on a Saturday! We will be shopping at Stater Brothers from now on. Deli and meat counter staffed. All registers open. No self checkout. The place is packed and being taken care of.

I am absolutely done with Grocery Outlet (G.O.) in Yucca Valley! I bought 2 dairy items there about…read more3 weeks ago. Both the gallon of milk and the quart of half & half were date stamped within "normal" range for my usage. I opened the 1/2 & 1/2 before the "sell by" date stamp. It was spoiled upon opening! I then took a look at the gallon of milk I bought and it was separating and also beginning to have a bad odor. I have been a customer of Yucca Valley G.O. since it opened. I spend about $150.00 (+/-) every week. I am quite familiar with all the staff, which are always very friendly to me. I like the eclectic products and deals offered there. So, with a smile on my face, I happily drove down to Y.V. Grocery Outlet to swap these items that prematurely spoiled. Mind you, retail cost of both items together was in the neighborhood of $5.00. The new cashier called the store manager who told me that I needed a receipt in order to swap the 2 products. I didn't have a receipt. I was asked if I had the G.O. app on my cell phone. I responded, "Sure". The receipt could not be found in my records. Then for the first time since I've been a customer there, I was informed that YOU MUST put in your telephone number at the time of purchase in order to have your receipt be a part of your G.O. mobile app. IMO this bit of information SHOULD BE POSTED at each register. So the bottom line is that no matter how much I tried to reason with the store manager, he insisted that the only possible way I would be able to swap my dairy items was with a valid receipt. I explained to him if that's the case I'm leaving and will never set foot in Yucca Valley Grocery Outlet again. I informed him that my revenue to Y.V. G.O. of $600.00 to $700.00 per month will disappear if his position was firm. He didn't seem to mind that a one time accommodation of $5.00 for spoiled product would cost the store $600.00 - 700.00 per month. WHAT AN ATTITUDE!!!! BTW...this was the first time I'd ever had an incident of premature spoilage at Y.V. G.O. My recommendation is go to either Desert Hot Springs or the Palm Springs locations. The manager told me I could reach the Y.V. G.O. owner by making a cell phone call to the Y.V. store. I went outside and called call was answered by the cashier I dealt with when I walked into the Y.V. store. She had no clue as to how to speak to or leave a message with the franchise owner.
