The store is very clean and well stocked. The AC was very good on such hot days, especially in the fresh fruits and vegetables areas. It shows the store cares for the products and customers. I am only speaking about the automotive service. I have been coming to this Walmart automotive for over 15 years, including their previous location which is now a "Tractor Supply". The point I am trying to make is that it gets worse each time I go. There is always an issue w/the service or product purchased. I blame the staff for inadequate training & management. The oil & oil filter service is adequate, but when asked to grease a zerk/grease fitting it never is done. My latest problem was the purchase of 2 tires & when my vehicle was ready it was parked in a puddle of oil, which was dripping from my tire. Secondly the newly purchased tires had the balance weights placed on the exterior of a magnesium rim. The is a "no, no". GOOGLE it for yourself. The manager was argumenative & unreasonable. Once I became adamit about the situation they did the correction. It is sad because the people make the company. read more

Our relatives live in this adorable town, so occasionally we go shopping here with them. Such a huge store, with so many great buys. They carry everything we need. The place is always kept so clean, and staff members are very friendly. A fun place to shop for bargains in every aisle. read more

We entered Walmart with one purpose in mind: find items for our dinner at the campsite. However, our top priority was finding the restroom. I ran into Joshua who directed us in the right direction. Later, when I was searching for the firewood section, I ran into Joshua again and he guided me there. I think the employees here are helpful, competent, and knowledgeable. This Walmart is huge and offers of a variety of products. The bathrooms were clean and the self checkout lane was fairly quick. read more

The cashiers are either very friendly or very rude. Today I got one who was very rude. I brought my own bag and after the total came up and my card was approved. the cashier asked if I would like to donate to a children's fund, I politely said no. He then quickly asked the next customer if she would like a bag and started to scan her items leaving mine still on the stand and leaving me to load my own bag as her items were being scanned. Not a thank you or explanation as to why I had to bag my own groceries with my own bag at a regular checkout aisle. read more

I recently visited the Yucca Valley Walmart and I tried to find an item my wife wanted but couldn't. I noticed an employee (Sierra) near me who was diligently performing her job. I went up to her and asked if she knew where this product was, she immediately stopped what she was doing to help me. She took me right to the product. She was very pleasant, courteous and knowledgeable. I thanked her being so helpful and I apologized for interrupting her from doing her job. I went to Walmart to buy food and had a frustrating experience. I had to ask a worker multiple times just to get his attention. When I showed him the product on my phone the tortilla section, even though that wasn't what I was looking for. I asked him again if this was the correct section since the product wasn't there, and he looked me up and down and ignored me. When I asked for a manager, I was told he would be spoken to so he could be "friendlier," which missed the point. The interaction felt dismissive and racially motivated. read more

My husband was in the Walmart store today and received help from a very, very helpful and professional person by the name of Brian. Brian was the cashier and my husband had a little difficulty with his card. My husband is disabled and Brian could see that he might get frustrated. Brian asked if he could help him and he was absolutely wonderful. We were unable to find a supervisor in order for Brian to receive a commendation for his services rendered. Called again at 3:00pm and spoke with nasty, interrupting store mgr. Explained that we were in our late 70s & needed her help. She just yelled at us & said nothing she could do. This Walmart Pharmacy is the most disorganized Pharmacy I have ever had the utter displeasure of dealing with in my entire life. They hung up the phone on me FOUR times this morning while attempting to get a prescription refill. The only pharmacy employee that had a clue is a woman named Brenda, who has evidently left the Pharmacy most likely due to the utter disrespect and incompetence of the rest of the staff. Sad indeed. The Pharmacy Manager is clearly not qualified for the job. She lets her staff do as they please without any reason. The Pharmacy lines are ALWAYS very long and the prescriptions are rarely available when they notify customers via text. DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY unless you want to be stressed out. Run down and ghetto. The produce department to the left when you walk in, had the power out. This isnt't he first time this happened. I would assume this would impose some sort of health risk to the people selling stuff that might not be cold you know? prices are ok, and they ahve an ok selection. This store ranks in my Top 5 of worst customer service ever. Brought an unopened sleeping bag in for return with receipt less than one day after purchase. Not only did they refuse the refund, they also refused store credit. Why? Because they have an unpublished, invisible to the public "policy" that if you buy any item from Sporting Goods, your ONLY option is to pick something else out, on the spot. from their Sporting Goods department and no other department in the store. Their "reasoning" is that "they are close to a National Park and people purchase, use, and return". So what this store has done is created their very own return policy that completely counters WalMart's own return policy, and kept it a secret from the consumer. The "Customer Service" staff actually reached under their desk and pulled out a crumpled document that says return policy is at the discretion of the store. And said it was the "Fine Print" policy! Wasted an hour on the phone with their Customer Service line who agreed with me that I was absolutely correct that this store policy violated corporate policy, "but there's nothing we can do." It appears that it's up to shoppers to do a deep dive research effort on return policy at every single WalMart they enter, but in this case, it wouldn't have helped since there is NO language about this policy except through the mouths of the return desk when you go to make the return. A lot of the reviews on here are underrated. Lower prices, good service. They have the lowest priced oil changes in town. Once the guy said you need an air filter, yours is charred (it was), but I will install it free and he did. I ordered a Black Friday 40" TV and they didn't get them in so they gave me a 50" at the same bargain price. I ordered a couch convertible sleeper and the company cancelled my order. the assistant manager sold me one at the same price. They have a phone repair store in the front with the lowest prices I have ever seen. It can be hard to get help on the phone, selection can be limited (especially on cell phones) and prices could be lower, so I won't give it 5 stars. I believe this store is under rated on read more

Worst Walmart ever!!!!! No one EVER answers their phones!!!!!! Right now, I have been on the phone for almost one hour, the only one that answered their phone was automotive to forward my call and then no one answered it again. Also they are carrying 3rd person businesses and do not exchange or refund their purchases. I was ordering my food for pickup and out of 32 items last week they were out of 24 of them. My sons first birthday party was July 22. We called a ton of local bakeries to see if they could make a baby shark themed smash cake. Everyone could do it but it was going to be expensive. I went on our Walmart app and was able to find a perfect cake. I was nervous order a custom cake from Walmart but figured it's a smash cake who cares. It came out so fricken cute! I went to Walmart after receiving notif that my pickup order was ready. I arrived about 2:56pm. aThere were several cars there and I parked in #7. A Walmart employee came out and took my name and said he'd be right back with my order. Customers came and went and still no sign of my order. No one came over to me and offered an update, an excuse or anything. Periodically an employee would poke their head out the door, look directly at me and laugh. I this might be a good sign because I have never seen Walmart employees smiling. This goes on for awhile as I record and take pics of the pickup spaces filling up and emptying out as more customers come and go with their orders. It's now 3:50 pm so I decided I've been patient enough and I call customer service. Within 4 minutes I have an understandably " rude-because-I'm-stressed-out" employee offering an excuse for the delay, and customer service offered $10 off my next order. This poor service wouldn't happen if the employees were paid well enough to take care of their families. Happy workers are high performers. read more

I was visiting Joshua Tree and had a wonderful encounter with the employee Teresa. I don't speak good English however she helped me find the perfect Christmas gifts for family. It's lovely to have diversity and a wonderful Spanish speaking employee while traveling. She helped me fine great pj sets and Holiday sweaters. read more

Like going to the DMV, I detest going to Wal-Mart. But, that is really all you have out there in Yucca Valley. A visit here requires patience and empathy. I don't know why every Wal-Mart employee is gathered together talking and not helping anyone...nor do I understand why there does not seem to be a full set of teeth between the entire staff. I can say that our cashier was really friendly and nice, and had all of her teeth. I did get a few really good deals, I cannot complain about getting 3 tank tops for $9. In all honesty, you can't beat the prices. You just have to suck up the experience and keep it moving.
