I ended up walking away with a mug! Look, everyone needs to drink coffee, and the best way to do that is with a mug from Cole Pottery. They are a great value and have a nice smooth satin matte finish. The colors are warm and inviting, and honestly, they are going to fit into any decor. The selection was pretty large - and there is bound to be a mug to suit your tastes. The store owner recommended to wash them in the dishwasher because people tend to drop their mugs when hand-washing. I know I've been guilty of that in the past (and I always am super careful when hand-washing my favorite mug at work). He said I should get at least 14 years out of my mug, so I'm going to hold him to it. Lastly, they are microwave safe, so you don't have to worry about re-heating your beverage in the microwave. Most people probably don't give much thought to where their mugs come from, but when you need one, you need one. Besides, if you are constantly using Styrofoam for your coffee, all you are doing is hurting the environment! When you hurt the environment, you make Mother Nature sad. When Mother Nature is sad, she tends to get temperamental, and when Mother Nature is temperamental, we get tornadoes. Don't make tornadoes - stop using Styrofoam and buy a mug from Cole Pottery.

I found all kinds of items from local vendors like tea, jewelry, dog treats, some really cool mystery book dates, pottery, the list goes on. You would think that because everything there is from vendors it would be a little expensive but it's not there's a lot of craftsmanship put into the products making everything worth the price! Every time I go into the store, there are either new items to look at or old items that I overlooked. If you go, make sure you give yourself plenty of time to look around because it's very easy to lose time once you get in there!

It was a great size but sold mostly machines - just a small corner of fabric. The woman working there was pleasant, answered our questions (except the one that we didn't ask "Where is all the fabric?"). For me to go in a fabric store and NOT SPEND A PENNY is pretty inconceivable. Next time, I will drive to Lansing to shop. Although if you are looking for a sewing machine, they did have a large selection there.

All of the possible classes are listed in their website. I would be hard to pick a favorite class. Each of the classes is taught by a different artist or expert in that class. There are 2 different areas where the classes are taught one in the back and one in the middle section. The ability to walk out with a project that you learned how to make is priceless. I highly recommend going to a class at My New Favorite Thing or just going shopping.
