They had a selection of Pinotages, as well as the best curated selection of wines I have seen locally. They also had some great deals in front of the store for curious drinkers. Now, whenever I am in the area I tend to pop in just to see what they have new. Just a note about the management: I believe the owners and management are fairly new. I have always had great service there, and some solid suggestions. The shop appears to be run by a couple of very knowledgeable ladies who make an attempt to know their customers.

Yesterday there only two cashiers open and when I walked up to one the clerk looked right at me and pulled a chain across the entry. There were five employees standing around the customer service desk (what irony) and only one cashier working. I left my full cart next to the service desk and walked out. It is often the case that they do not have enough staff at the checkouts. Shame! I went to Giant.

I didn't give it 5 stars because even though they're really nice and friendly, the staff don't know a lot about beer, wine, and booze (if you want someone knowledgeable, go to the "sister" store I mentioned above; owned by the same family--at least, as of this writing). I was about to go in the store. She came outside and banged on the roof of my car. And telling me I gotta move my car. I asked her has she lost her mind, she banged on again, so I blew my horn and she jumped back. This lady is so rude and nasty and I feel like she treats Black people any way because she know we want to continue to shop there. I'm asking for people not to support this store.

But of course they do have the basics in the most common sizes. Don't stop by the store if you're looking for a specialty item but if you just need to refill your stock on the way home then this is the perfect spot. It's usually not very crowded (which is good during COVID) and you can get in and out with their quick and friendly service.

The guy at the register refused to honor military discount, so I went back to the car and found my husband's Id and went back in to show it and he said he won't honor it anyway because it's my husband's. Never had this happen before at any other liquor stores in Calvert county as most of the times they don't even ask to show it. Hope the owner is aware of this behavior
