Ordered scrambled eggs with rye toast and a chopped steak well done. The meat is barely cooked the toast was not toasted and clearly these aren't scrambled eggs. I drive for a living and have a schedule to keep. This took 30 minutes to get to me and was not even close to what I expected. Dansville TA country pride in my never to return to list. This place is awesome. Found this gem on the way back to NYC from Toronto. Not many places on yelp around here but we managed to find this gem. All you can eat for $13. The food is healthy and not excessively salty. The staff are friendly and courteous. Very homey feel. Gas station right outside to refuel before you head on back home. read more

My buddy and I stopped here to get a good meal in. We had been on the road for many hours on our trek to Niagara Falls. A short while after crossing the state line into New York, we found this place attached to a TA Plaza. So we stopped here to get some food. The outside of this place gets a ridiculous amount of mosquitoes when it rains in the summertime, and they will eat you alive if you don't take precautions. We walked into the TA Plaza, and into the restaurant within. We were seated promptly, and we perused the menu. I went with the grilled chicken, while my buddy had steak and eggs. The food was very good, and came in very large portion sizes. The coffee was so-so, but the food more than made up for that. The waitress went above and beyond for us, and even gave me a large iced coffee for the road. The place was not too packed, but has a high capacity. The staff really works hard here, and I appreciate this place for making our journey a whole lot better. Props for them providing service members and veterans free food on the fourth of July. read more

Fantastic stop. I used to think Loves topped the distance driving spots, but TA's has truly exceeded them. Great little restaurant - with salad bar! Clean showers (we've used them...as marathon runners it's a great alternative to driving stinky). Clean bathrooms. Helpful staff. This location has a nice landscaped area for walking and stretching your legs away from the busyness of the gas pumps. Truly a wonderful place to take a break from the road. read more

This stop is very incognito. When you get off the northbound exit in Dansville, try to stay away from the regular McDonald's, Dunkin Donuts or Arby's and hang a left to the TA Plaza Truck Stop. There's a convenient store and nice little restaurant called Country Pride that offers up an AYCE buffet with salad bar for only $8.95. If you're feeling more like a smaller meal, you can order something off of their a la carte menu, as my husband and I chose. When you first walk in to the stop and visit the restroom area, you'll see that they offer use of a laundry room and showers for the truckers and other long distance drivers that stop here. They also have a driver's lounge that houses comfortable seating and television for a little relaxation before getting back on the road. We grabbed up some breakfast foods since it was before noon. Hubby ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Omelet and I just got the simple Sunrise Start that comes with two eggs, any style, hash browns or home fries, toast and jelly. Our server was really sweet. She had a smile every time she came to our table. I'm glad we found this place on the ride up north because by the time we got there, after 4 hours of driving, we were hungry and tired but left full, happy and refreshed. read more

my friends order was not done right at all. They took it back but obviously tried to fix it to quick. The eggs were not cooked fully at all and sausage rock hard. My order also got bacon instead of sausage. The waitress ordered all of our food without writing anything down and right there i knew something would go wrong. My family and I enjoy the Country Pride restaurant in Dansville. The food is pretty good and we are generally pleased. However, the garbage as you are driving into the restaurant (on/off ramps and along the side of the road) is so disgusting that I have left to eat elsewhere. There is currently a jug of what appears to be urine sitting on the side of the road that you have to pass to park. It is not appetizing. I know the inmate crew picked up a lot of garbage near there, but it's replaced quickly. I'm not sure what the answer is, but I can't bring myself to eat there with the garbage you have to pass. read more
