Such a nice little restaurant. The place is very clean and nicely decorated. It's much bigger on…read morethe inside than it looks like on the outside, so don't let a full parking lot scare you. I had the eggs Benedict with home fries. The eggs Benedict was really good. Eggs were perfect and the sauce was nicely flavored. The home fries were not the best. They needed to be seasoned better and were under cooked. I'll give them a pass on those. Server was on top of everything and very friendly. I am eager to try them for lunch and dinner.

Their menu has what you'd expect from a classic diner, prices are cheap, and service is quick! We got the Country Style Eggs and Patty Melt. Both lacked basic seasonings like salt & pepper. If I was rating off the food alone, I'd give it a 3/5. The home fries in the Country Style Eggs could've been crispier and adding hot sauce definitely saved this a bit. The biscuit we got with it was homemade and so delicious. It was warm, buttery, and satisfying. The Patty Melt was a bit dry and desperately needed a sauce. I used ketchup and asked for pickles which helped. The rye bread was surprisingly not dry and grilled nicely with butter. It was definitely a heavy meal but we needed it after a long drive. It's not the kind of place where you'll have an amazing meal but it'll do the job at a super affordable price.

They responded to my review on Google saying that they were short-staffed when we visited and the long wait would have been an anomaly, so we figured we'd give them another try since we were looking for lunch while driving through Dansville again. Exact same situation as last time. Our drinks came out fast, but food took forever. We waited 40 minutes for 2 sandwiches and 1 wrap. They weren't busy; there were two people who ordered drinks before us (and also got them pretty quickly) and another small group who came in while we were waiting for food and ordered drinks only, got them, and left. The food was good and the place is really cute, but it was really a pain to have to wait so long when we wanted to get back on the road. I want to be able to patronize the place, but we are not risking the wait again next time we make this road trip. Note on the drinks: My parents liked their chai and matcha lattes (I tried the chai and it was pretty good, did not try the matcha), and my mom and I both liked the bubble teas we got last time, but the hot green tea was just a Twinings tea bag. I saw what looked like different tea boxes on the wall, so maybe they have different options for other types of tea, but I would be inclined to recommend the tea lattes over the plain tea if all they've got is Twinings.

Delicious pastries (with vegan options!) and great drinks--latte, boba and lemonade were all very good. A nice stop in a little town. I'll return next time I'm in the area. The decor has the feel of a vintage steampunk era. A very cool place to sit and dine. The burgers were thin like a smash burger and so yummy. Went with husband, on a trip to Lake Canandaigua…read more We both ordered the Yardman breakfast with home fries, onions, and peppers. It also includes 2 strips of bacon, a piece of ham, and a sausage patty. Sounds delicious, but the home fries are not from home, they are likely frozen, and they were way overdone. I couldn't even get my fork into many, and they were so bland. I doused them in ketchup and the "awesome sauce" on the table. No help. The pepper and onions were largely absent.. They were so finely diced, and also overcooked, it was easy to miss. Sausage, bacon, and ham were VERY crispy and a little burnt, but they were still tasty. The eggs were spot on. It came with meat sauce or sausage gravy. Both were very rich. I passed on my meat sauce (too much allspice and/or nutmeg for me). Husband ate his gravy. He said it was sausage forward, with little gravy, but definitely scratch made and good. Full points for that. Coffee was ok, nothing great, a little weak. Now, I will give them credit as we came in at the end of breakfast. So maybe that was it. We got what they had left. The staff was great! I think we missed the mark and should have gone with garbage plates.

Well well well did we ever luck out today (SATURDAY)…read more You know that the food is good when you get that happy food dance. Let me tell you... I was happy food dancing the whole way through my Beef on a Weck. Let me back up a minute and take yall start to finish, we walked in and there was a clear "please seat yourself" sign by the checkout. The place feels small town and adorable. The wooden booths aren't here for your comfort, but the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our server greeted us with a smile and was super helpful. She was friendly and talked us through the menu. I settled on the must have Beef on a Weck (no sides) while my partner had the Fire grilled Roast Beef and Swiss with sweet potato fries. I didn't even know what a Weck was until we stopped by today. When the plate was placed infront of me I knew I would loveee what was to come next. Beef on a Weck... it is served open faced because the meat is the clear feature here... but when I flipped it over I knew what to do.... eat this beast upside down (meaning seasonings touch the tongue when you take a bite). Trust this foodie... this hack takes that sandwich to the next level!!!! The horseradish provided was very good and had a nice bite, and I like Horseradish, but the seasonings (sea salt and cardamom seeds) on that bun are what I really found myself seeking every bite. Man that was delicious. Now not to be out done, the Fire Grilled Rst Beef and Swiss was also a head turner too! The warm roast beef and melty Swiss cheese did not disappoint. The sandwich bread was toasted to perfection, and it was also delicious! The side of sweet potato fries just took the whole dish to the next level! While our stomachs did not allow room for dessert (likely due to the amount of meat each sandwich contained) I was almost tempted to try the caramel cheesecake. Prices were also extremely reasonable especially considering the quality! All in all this was a fabulous stop and we would go out of our way to come again on a Saturday when the Roast Beef is fresh!
