It's spectacular now! Been the same name thru 3 owners. Was ok then Vietnamese ladies took over and yucky! Now it is wonderful and not near as expensive as other buffets and Miles to go. You get it all for $10.50 with water or add a drink for $3 more. The food is delicious. You deserve it. Not sure why it's not rated a 4 or 5. Wondering if some of the old ratings are still being counted. Waitresses tend to use the one for all approach. They collect tips and split at end of the night. Me and my family visited here about a month ago on a Sunday afternoon. It was our first time here. I have always heard about this place but was skeptical because of the bad reviews. However, there was a post on Facebook in the Columbus, GA Foodies group where people stated this place had one of the best fried chicken in Columbus! I went through the comments and saw there were changes with ownership and since then the place has turned itself around. And they were not wrong. The chicken was hot and fresh. Very flavorful. All of the food options- main dishes and sides were hot and fresh and seasoned. One of my complaints compared to another very popular buffet place is that the sides are never seasoned. However, here I had no issues. I don't think I had to add salt/pepper to anything! They were refilling trays of food the entire time. Nothing was low or completely out whatsoever. I honestly don't feel like I tried anything I didn't like! The service was great too! The entire place was clean but I enjoyed seeing the workers constantly cleaning the buffet lines after people were getting their food. This prevented food from getting on the floor and all over the line. The waitress was very attentive with checking on us, refilling our drinks and taking away our plates. At $12 a person, you can't beat it! I didn't give it 5 stars only because this is based off of ONE experience. I plan to go back very soon and hopefully the experience is the same or better. If it's consistently great I will come back and update this review to 5 stars. UPDATE!!! So we went back on a Thursday around 3:30pm. Overall, still a great experience. However, our first time was better. And that's okay! When we walked in we noticed there was a line outside the door which we thought was odd since it was a random day and time we went however to our surprise a big party of 30 people walked in right as we were! The restaurant handled it greatly. There was a bit of a wait with getting everyone in that groups drink orders and payments. Then you have people who were getting their food to go also trying to check out. It will be super helpful if maybe they moved the register from right in front of the door but then again I'm not sure where they could put it since it's a smaller place. I'm still sticking with 4/5 stars. The food was still great. They had different options and I like that you can call and get what's on the menu for that day. The chicken was still great! However they ran out for a while which I'm sure is due to the large group that came in. The buffet line was packed and although they were coming out with food, it just wasn't fast enough compared to the people that were there fixing their plate. And again, I get it! I'm Not faulting them at all. We barely saw our waitress this visit, compared to last I believe she came by every 10 minutes. They were super busy and were didn't need anything so I'm not faulting her for this either. Overall, we were stuffed and pleased with the meal. I have eaten at this place when the original owners opened this so when ownership changed the food did as well. My husband and I just ate there and they only took cash so we went to atm paid fee to get cash and then sat down got drinks orders and that was the only one we got the food was very bland no seasoning what so ever no refills or plates cleared from the table . We were there on Memorial Day 2025 and were met with friendly service. The buffet was clean and colorful. I especially liked the fried green tomatoes. My husband and I liked that it wasn't highly seasoned because of health concerns. We were pleased and will come again. We are vegetarian and were limited to choices because green beans, greens and other vegetables were cooked in animal fat. I don't believe the cabbage had any in it. I had corn, pinto beans, fried green tomatoes, salad, macaroni salad, fried bananas and fries. Labeling the dishes may help in making food choices. When I asked what were certain selections, they were friendly and accommodating. The desert buffet was attractive too. The sweet potato pie was delicious and ice cream was my special treat. Buffet was $10 on weekend night. Drinks are $2.29 or so Then add tax. Food is good, actually most is excellent. Menu changes regularly, mom and dad liked to come on the beef tips and rice night. Service varies greatly dependent upon who you get and what time it is. Last trip my server sat in the booth next to us and counted her tip money. She didn't pick up the plates we were finished with like most do. She didn't refill the tea glasses either. This was ok, we just stacked up the plates and asked for refills from another server. My issue is with the ambiance. Soon as we came in and went to the food bar a couple with several kids came in and they were hyped up and making noise as they came thru the door. My issue was that the 3 year old didn't like being sat down and wanted everyone to know. We were there for 50 minutes and that child screamed for the last 45 of them. When we left it was still screaming and terribly unhappy. By that age my kids knew lots better. They didn't seem to care and neither did the management although I am not sure just what they could have done. Management did have signs posted that said don't stay more than 1.5 hours so that they can seat others. It wasn't crowded at all but maybe that was their way of making sure no one stayed too long. lol If I go back it will be during school hours for sure. read more

We went to the Ga. Lottery to collect on a ticket that was higher than the $600.00 that a retailer can cash. ( You see I avoided how much it was!) The lady there said to try Country Road, next door, so we did. We paid upon entry, and had a seat. The drinks came out fast. Now, this is by no means a 500 seat spot with 50 different types of meats, but in my opinion, what they had, made a good meal. My only star buster, hence 4 stars, was the first trip I made to the food bar, there was only fried chicken thighs on the line, along with other meats, but the thighs seemed slightly freezer burned. The skin was hard, and the top layer of the meat was stringy. The next trip, I got some salisbury steak, and noticed a fresh batch of fried chicken, including legs. The second batch made up for the first. Hot, fresh, seasoned and simply delicious! I was good then.....Just fine. The servers don't cook, so on the was out, I gave the server $10.00 on a $23.00 check and told her to have a good day. When, not IF we go back to cash in another ticket, since we live in Montgomery, Al. we will stop in again. read more

The price is fair and the food is decent, i thought there was variety for the price even. The waitresses were very attentive and probably were the best part of our experience. The hostess tho, a korean lady, was very rude to us while we were arriving/paying. You pay for your buffet upon arrival and there is a separate cost for whether you want just the buffet, buffet with tea, or buffet with fountain drink. I said i just wanted water with my meal and so did my mom but when she rang it up, i noticed the price didnt match what it shouldve been so i asked her which buffet option she rang up. She said we asked for tea, but i told her that we just wanted water. She really did say to me that when i saw the price on the register that that was when i changed my mind to water! I was taken aback by her rude comment, dont ask me why we stayed, we shoulda walked out. But instead i told her that we did in fact order just water. The prices were only about 75 cent difference but its the priciple. Im not paying for something i didnt order, no matter how much it is. And if youre in customer service, you dont accuse the customer of changing their mind because YOU made a mistake. You just apologize, adjust the price, and move on. Not get an attitude. A group of friends and I went to lunch here on a Friday. The food barely had any taste. I would rather eat hospital food. The salisbury steak was very tough with tasteless gravy. I forced myself to swallow one bite. I took a bite of the fried chicken, and it was tasteless too. No to the hushpuppies. The boiled cabbage was fine, but that's just cabbage...boiled... nothing special. Then I had dessert. I've never seen banana pudding the consistency that they were serving, and it didn't even taste like banana. I actually did spit that out. There's no reason for you to be able to touch banana pudding and it not get on your finger.. it jiggled like Jell-O. Speaking of Jell-O, I did eat some of that and it was good.. but what Jell-O isn't? On the bright side, the thousand island dressing was good. I don't know if it was from a bottle or if it was because it actually had taste when everything else didn't, but I did "enjoy" a salad. The mac & cheese was also ok but not much else. That's about all I could manage to eat, and I'm a person that normally will try any kind of food at least twice. I will not be back and wouldn't ever recommend this place to a friend. read more

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat, but with the exception of one of the Owner's (Female - Korean Lady which I can't remember Her name) came up to my party guests and made a Very Rude Comment about that we were coughing over the food in the Restaurant and said that we were nasty people which was suggested by another one of Her Customers telling the Korean Lady Owner What they saw! This was totally incorrect. The worst part of it all - Was the Korean Lady Owner never saw anything but took the word of one of Her Customer's word and came up to our Party Guest To tell us about the incident after we all got up and left! Let me just say that this place only gets 1 star because there wasn't a half star! I'm sure that whenever they do have fried fish on the menu, it is fried in a flour batter as well. YUCK! Of the three deserts they did have, they were nasty! The so called peach cobbler was canned peaches with the rawest dough strips on top of it, the banana pudding was not pudding at all but some jellotinous blob that was not pudding at all but some thick glob! I mean banana pudding should at least stick to your finger when touched, but this stuff didn't even move! Despite the place having a steady flow of customers (99% being old and white) which I don't understand at all, I would not recommend anyone who is truly craving some good old "soul" food to waste their money here! You'd be better off going to Hartz or Ryan's (and that's not saying much). They know exactly what they are doing to have you prepay because THAT is the only reason why we stayed and tried to find something halfway decent. Sadly, we left there and went somewhere else to eat. Yes, it's under $7 to eat here, but save your money because this buffet has neither quality NOR quantity! I do not recommend this restaurant. The food was all fried. Not only fried, but soaked in grease. The fried tomatoes were soggy and cold. It appeared that the food had been left on the buffet for hours and many items were dried out. The vegetables were canned and unseasoned. The price is cheap because the selection of food, meats and vegetables, were slim. The salad bar had wilted lettuce and bottled salad dressing. The hostess was unfriendly and seemed entitled. I asked the hostess, an older Korean lady, if they had a restroom he could use as he really had to go, to which she gave a dubious "no" no? Again, she said "no restroom".
