We were highly disappointed with our first experience at this restaurant. Having ordered sushi, we found upon receipt that wasabi was missing. We reached out to the restaurant, given that our order was placed via GrubHub, and they advised us to procure the wasabi ourselves. We refused, and they proceeded to inform us that they would not send it. We indicated that we would inform the neighborhood about their uncooperative service, and the representative hung up on us. We went down there to get our wasabi. As soon as we approached the counter and asked for our wasabi, once realizing we were the ones who had called, the manager started making defamatory remarks she then blamed the waitress next to her for not doing the proper checks. I just told her we wanted our requests. She brought us a small container half filled with wasabi and the other half with ginger (ginger not ordered or wanted). Will not ever be ordering from here again for their rudeness. While i was there i observed 0 customers in the restaurant, so i assume their reputation is well known. Very impressive youngman that was raised right. If you decide to have dinner here one night, please request to sit in his section. He is presently a freshman in college pursing a degree in criminal justice as well as ROTC. In need of a quick lunch while visiting Columbus for a wedding, my wife and I chose Lemongrass as we craved Thai flavors. The restaurant itself has a huge interior with an old school feel. We didn't catch his name but out waiter, an incredibly sweet older man, took great care of us. He kept waters full, offered menu suggestions, and made sure we enjoyed everything. My wife called an audible and decided to go for sushi, so we ordered two special sushi rolls and the green curry fried rice. All entrees come with a soup or salad, and we enjoyed the small salad tossed with a creamy, zesty ginger dressing. While the price of the fried rice ran a little high at $18, the portion was enough to feed two. My wife and I both loved the fresh, rich taste of the green curry paste that infused each grain of rice, which itself was stir fried well and had a great texture. My wife's sushi rolls had good quality fish and decent rice, and were surprisingly good given the otherwise Thai focused menu. I don't know how the prices here compare to other area restaurants, but I felt the prices were fair given the quantity and quality of the items we ordered. The food earns four stars for solid fried rice and sushi, but the business gets an extra star for the kind service provided by our sweet waiter. While we probably won't be in Columbus again any time soon, we'd definitely return to Lemongrass if in the area. read more

She ordered the citrus chicken that came out really good, almost tasted like orange chicken. And I ordered the Tom Yum soup and Drunken Noodles with chicken with a hotness of 4. I definitely felt like it could've been hotter. The Drunken Noodles was actually really tasty. However it lacked vegetables like onions and bell peppers. There were barely any in there along with basil. Overall, the food was good. The service was great! The restaurant was clean. The bathroom had a weird stench but it was clean for the most part. We stopped by here for lunch when were heading back to Atlanta from a beach trip. I'm so glad that I found this place. For starters, it was one of the only ones open between 3pm-5pm especially on Labor Day. Our server Jenny was awesome! She provided great recommendations and was very kind. We tried a variety of things and this is more of a pan-asian place than strictly Thai and Sushi. We started off with some Thai Teas, requested with less sugar, and they were perfect. It wasn't too strong and it was creamy. Then I got some fresh spring rolls with shrimp and they were amazing especially with their peanut sauce. Most places only give peanut sauce, but they gave a sweet chili sauce as well which was nice. The steamed dumplings were reported to be really great as well. We also tried the tom kha gai (chicken coconut mushroom) soup and it hit the spot. One large serving provided like 4-6 cup servings. The chicken was really good, it was warm, and a good ratio of mushrooms. For our entrees we tried the thai fried rice with beef, green curry with brown rice, and the drunken noodles with shrimp. All were amazing! I mixed the green curry with the thai fried rice and it was an excellent combination. The shrimp had a great spice and all the dishes were just a bit spicy but not overwhelming. We ordered them with spice level 3. All the servings were big too. I would definitely come back to this place. It wasn't in Downtown Columbus, but not too far from it. read more

Support your local restaurants! Due to COVID-19, many of the restaurants here have had to switch to take out/delivery only. If you have a bit of disposable income, please try to order a meal and keep the restaurants here afloat. I don't usually eat out but I decided to give Lemongrass a try and ordered some satay and red curry over the phone. Aom was polite and efficient with my order and told me that my food would take only 15 minutes to prepare. When I arrived, my food was carefully packaged and I was surprised to learn that Lemongrass was currently taking 20% off of all orders when ordered to-go (no discount from using delivery apps however). I saved about $4 and would definitely opt for take out over delivery if I wanted to try Lemongrass again. ( As a side note on the service, hand sanitizer was readily offered at the restaurant due to the current situation. I was impressed that Aom sanitized her hands right after she handed back my credit card to minimize the spread of germs. ) Food-wise, I've been spoiled by living in Houston for years. I can't say it was the best red curry I've ever had but I am definitely grateful that there are thai options in Columbus. The red curry was aromatic and I could tell from the bright notes that there was something in the sauce that made it more authentic and better than any red thai curry I've made at home. The dinner portion was also very generous and I managed to have both lunch and dinner leftovers the next day. Finally, the satay was delicious and received no complaints from me. I wished I had cups upon cups of their peanut sauce and the little cup of pickled vegetables that came with the appetizer. The acidity of the sweet vinegar-y brine is perfect over the rice, by the way! It helps to cut through the richness of the coconut milk-based curry and doesn't make the meal feel too heavy. read more

The atmosphere of this establishment really puts a burden on its overall rating, very outdated, outside and when we walked in, there was a bunch of handwritten note stuck up all over the place. We were taking our table and you can see that either. They were just moving into the establishment or are moving out because there was stuff everywhere. We were given our menus and we got our drink order taken. The lady came back almost instantly and asked if we were ready to order since it was our first time we told her it'll be a minute while we are reading over all the menu items because there's a bunch she immediately started apologizing frantically and we were really confused as why it was just a simple give us a second. There is no need to overdo it and we weren't even bothered by it being asked we just needed another minute. We ordered two appetizers, a spring roll and a Gyoza's fried. The spring rolls were amazing the sauces paired with them I wish they would serve them by the gallons the gyoza were some of the best gyoza as I've ever had. The sushi rolls came out and I really wish they labeled or told us which ones which cause we honestly can't remember which one because it took a little bit from the make our rolls. I don't remember ordering the role that was outline and cucumber at all and it really wasn't that great.. I highly recommend this establishment, though for the quality of food and it's just fairly pricey. read more
