Was charged $52.57 for a burger, cheese curds, eggs with bacon, milk, OJ. Absolutely insane!

I travel to the area for work once a month and I've never been here. I thought it was a good sign that the parking lot was packed. I sat at the counter and I noticed I brought the average age down 20 years. The waitress was friendly and offered up some suggestions when I asked what was good. I went with the shaved roast beef sandwich. Asked if it came with some au jus and it didn't but she added it on for me. That actually completed the sandwich in my opinion. Overall a solid dining option with decent prices.

Love this place. We come after our last day of work and have tea and breakfast. Love the staff and owner. Will keep coming back for a long time.

Disappointed today! Waitress off her game she said, had to remind her of our water. Straws(only 1) finally got 2nd straw. Tuna Melt not a fan. Way mushy, greasy bread taste, stale potato chips. Potato Soup not good. I know I make it. Flour taste. Something has changed for sure. $18 + tip..not with it. Sorry we stopped.

Staff was amazing and the food is fantastic. Skillet is my recommendation for the hearty appetite. If your in the area check this place out !!!!

Sometimes I find myself in Adams, Wisconsin in need of a yummy breakfast (okay, that was once). Fortunately I found Country Skillet. Country Skillet is a homey, small town diner with an impressive menu. Lots of Packer/Wisconsiny decorations on the walls. My party definitely stood out for being the only group of loud twenty somethings, but we received great service nonetheless. Seemed to be mostly locals there for their Saturday morning eggs and coffee. There are SOOOOO many enticing breakfast options! So given the name, you guessed it, they offer a lot of interesting sounding skillets. They also serve omelets, eggs Benedicts, breakfast sandwiches, and more. I went with the biscuits and gravy with 2 poached eggs. The sausage gravy was really flavorful, the biscuits were fluffy and the eggs were poached well. Also, I was able to order a half size and still had more than enough. I think it was like $8 for a chocolate milk and my very filling, satisfying dish. That's awesome enough for me to give them 5 stars and plan to return if I'm ever in Adams!

When it comes to breakfast, I like mine simple and basic. Scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, bacon, English muffin or toast. There may be other offerings, but this is my go to/comfort zone. I at first wasn't going to get the buffet, but when I noticed how they made sure the offerings were always fresh and not just sitting on a warmers, I decided to give it a try. Everything was hot and fresh! The scrambled eggs were not lifeless and flat, for lack of better words they were fluffy. The hash browns were amazing too. I'm going to skip over to the breakfast sausages and bacon. Truly Amazing, the best I've ever had. I must admit that I did return to the buffet for an additional serving of both. It took much self control not to keep returning and continue grazing on sausage links and bacon. I would highly recommend the breakfast buffet and wish you luck on portion control.

We chose 5:00 on a Friday thinking they wouldn't be too busy yet, and there were plenty of tables available. My wife and I had the same thing, a glass of Malbec, the chopped salads, the pork shank with mashed potatoes and crispy Brussels sprouts, and the cast iron cookie with ice cream. Everything was delicious, and very plentiful. Service too was outstanding. Absolutely the finest restaurant in the Wisconsin Rapids area. We enjoy The Dirty Oar and the supper clubs, but Aldo's food is far superior.

Left totally satisfied and was in and out in 30 minutes. We were in a hurry. Brought friends back for dinner. They live in the area but had never been there. The ladies had pulled pork sliders with baked beans. My guy friend had perfectly smoked half rack of ribs along with 1/4 pound brisket with baked beans. I had the whole 1/4 brisket with baked beans and potato salad. Sides were fantastic. And those baked beans, I could eat a pail of them. Highly recommend without any reservations. My number one BBQ place in the Midwest. Can't miss, the food is superb and our waitress, Molly J was outstanding.

However, it didn't quite live up to the hype. My husband had the poutine with brisket (pictured), he ate most of it, but when asked for his thoughts on it he said the brisket seemed to have more pieces of fat than actual meat. The cornbread side he ordered was good though, with just the right amount of sweetness. I had a pulled pork sandwich with baked beans and potato salad. The beans had so many good reviews I felt compelled to try them, and they weren't bad just seemed like basic canned beans with some pulled pork thrown in. The pulled pork for the sandwich was fine, but came smothered in what appeared to be paprika, nothing special. Potato salad ingredients were nicely sized, but it was bland. The barbecue sauce might be homemade and you could feel the grittiness of the sugar crystals in it, which was surprising but good, and had a little bit of heat to it. I snuck a bite of my kids' mac and cheese after my two year old took a bite and said, "bleck." The Mac and cheese had the right amount of creaminess and the noodles were cooked to the right amount of tenderness to keep it from tasting like it's been sitting all day, but it seemed very bland and needed salt to be enjoyable. The pickles were very good. It took nearly thirty minutes to receive our food, but our server was very prompt in welcoming us and getting drinks to the table. They were also very friendly when my little one didn't want to stay seated and kept thinking the ATM was her personal computer, the struggle was real after being strapped in a car seat for the last 1.5 hours. There is a popcorn machine that offers free popcorn and a couple different seasoning options to top it with. My kids enjoyed the popcorn while we waited for our food. When I asked my kids what they thought of our new restaurant find, my middle daughter (10) commented on how the bartender was very loud and talked a lot. She could be heard regardless of which end of the restaurant she was on. I noticed the same thing, but thought maybe it was just me. We were fed, but probably won't return. This restaurant is located next to a railroad track in the middle of a very wooded area and the deer were abundant. We had to slow at least four times within 5 miles of the restaurant for deer crossing the road.

So we headed on in like always-well, the new owner is basically a bar fly! We were the Only Customers and she couldn't even take our order! To busy talking to her teen children who were working/cooking. Finally got our pizza. Had to ask for napkins and paper plates. She told us "oh there usually on the tables " Pizza was pretty good. Then we had to flag the bar fly down Again just to pay!! Skip ahead to March 2026 thought we'd give them another chance. Fish Fry this time. Hmm, fish was definitely Hot but not as tasty as the previous owners served. Came in an old warped plastic basket w/mini portion of coleslaw (not the best), fries or baked potato( was 4pm-told us no baked til after 5) menu states after 3pm. Then server comes back and says, " oh I didn't know we had baked potatoes now, thought not til 5) Maybe server should know what the heck they are serving! Also, special was shrimp (which server said they were out of) glad I didn't want any. Also, heard the cook saying, "we only have 1 bag of fish left"!! WOW on a Friday night in Wisconsin during LENT!! Of course the Bar fly female owner was there playing slot video games and cackling! She informed the server that the woman's bathroom needed TP! That there was barely enough for her to use. Which tells me she used the last of it and couldn't be bothered to replace it!!! Lazy Boozy Bitch!! My adult children and inlaws tried dinner mud summer 2025- half the menu wasn't available!!
