I'm giving 2 stars for the ice cream... The customer service was horrible. The lady taking our order had this annoyed look on her face and gave attitude to me and my date. She wasn't pleasant at all and I could barely hear her. I asked her to repeat and she gave attitude repeating what she had said before. She was even rude to my date when he was paying. The other lady made our order thank God and she had a smile and was nice to us. As far as the other one, she needs to be deciplined if this is how she is going to act towards people. I don't know if she was jealous or just a rude person but that was my first time there and it left a bad taste in my mouth. You need to keep her in the back and have someone more pleasant and welcoming to greet and speak to customers. We live three hours away, but we're in the Q-C helping our parents who are in the hospital. We have been going to Country Style since we lived here over 65 years ago. When I was pregnant over 45 years ago, the gentleman who ran the 16th St. store made sure I had my daily chocolate shake ready. Double chocolate delicious! Fast forward to today. Still the same great shake, but yesterday my cup seeped chocolate within 20 min. Today I ordered my regular large chocolate shake again at the Country Style by Jewel in Moline, but asked for it to be in two cups, and explained what had happened. The nice-looking young man DID NOT BELIEVE ME and said they could not be giving out cups (foam cups, at that) like that! We decided to get our shake elsewhere. This place makes ice cream in a old fashioned way, and I'd have to say that their ice cream is top notch.

One of my favorite things about Country Style is the quality of the ice cream following a re-freeze. Some ice cream gets hard and melts funny, but Country Style is just as good the second time around. Love their chocolate malts and peanut butter shakes. There are about two dozen flavor choices for shakes/malts. The soft serve is unique, it has the sugary grain feel to it that tastes old fashioned and home made. Very filling! read more

So disappointed they have new management and I ordered a large caramel sundae and when I got home I found out it was a small butterscotch sundae!!!!!! Tried for an hour to call someone and it rang and rang and rang and no one answered!!!! Best soft Steve ice cream!! Only two flavors. Chocolate and vanilla. The chocolate is a dark chocolate and the vanilla reminds me of a more French vanilla with a yellow tint versus bright white. The ice cream is not a "fluffy" soft serve but more solid. It's amazing. You can get various sundae/shake flavors and candies but the ice cream alone is a special soft serve treat. read more

Visits to Country Style as a child in the 50s and 60s is a favorite memory. I moved away in the 70s but always have to have my ice cream from there when I go home for visits. How I have lived here and never known this wonder they have called the ice cream soda, I will never know. It is the most refreshing ice cream treat you can have on a 90 degree day. They also have dipped cones, which is my norm, but too messy when it hits 90, which is why I will go to Whitey's next door, but I am glad I got the soda this day. It is a coin flip with my friends and I on which place to go, however, now that I know about the Ice Cream soda, I think this place is my choice from now on. read more

I really like this place - their dip cones are so good! It has just the right amount of crunch and creaminess. It's a cute little place that you walk up to and order your ice cream, and then eat it outside. They don't have many options as far as flavors, but it's still very good and authentic. I had a bad experience there twice. I bought a soda in East Moline through the drive thru & when i got home it leaked all over the place & the icecream spilled through the bottom of the container, then the one in Moline put no chocolate in my chocolate soda, just soda. Yuck!!! Took it back & the other girl was nice enough to fix it & knew what she was doing, but i think the owner hires all these young new kids that don't know what their doing & that's the problem. If you ask for a chocolate or strawberry sundae make sure they put enough of the topping on or else you'll get about a teaspoon on. Sometimes they try to cheat you out & their icecream isan't cheap either!!!! read more

Not bad but not great either. I would recommend it if you want soft serve. But otherwise I have no idea why you would choose this over Whitey's next door, which is far superior. I agree with previous reviewers about it being icy as opposed to creamy. Plus it's very expensive- two shakes came to over $10. I might come back to try a dip cone though. read more
