Prom dress shopping should not be one where they are made to feel horrible, which was our experience at The Prom Room in Mt. Sterling. Geno's was the complete opposite, making my girl feel like a princess. They had dresses for all budgets and we found the perfect dress that was under my budget. I truly can't recommend Geno's enough. Recently I brought in some work uniforms for alterations and they advised me on the best course of action to get them looking just right. Long story short: rather than take the items in for several customizations (which I was willing to pay for) they sized me to re-order through my employer...then, they would handle just the necessary final alterations. THIEVES!! DISGUSTING!! SHADY BUSINESS!!…read more I went to the Bowling Green store because I had 10 dresses that me and my daughters didn't need anymore. So I went to see if they wanted them but they told me that they needed to be washed first. This was understandable so I went and had them dry cleaned and dropped them off which cost me $100. They told me that I had to come pick them up before the 90 days were up. So I went to see what was sold and what wasn't. To my surprise they had only sold one of my dresses, and returned only two. In all I lost 7 dresses which they told me we're "donated" before the given time. I was furious, but I didn't want to blow it out of proportion , so I swallowed my anger. I recently went to the store and saw my dresses were still on sale. These people are disgusting and use underhanded business tactics and if you have an option to not come near this place. On top of that the employees had a terrible attitude the whole time and acted towards me as if I were going to steal at any moment. They sell used clothes not glass chandeliers.

We have rented here six times. When I called to confirm hours of the day I was to pick up mascot…read morecostume they had no record of my reservation. Could not find mascot. He looked around, and asked me to call back so he could call his manager, finally found costume and then asked me if I want to reserve it. I had reserved it at least six weeks prior. Then he asked me if I had paid for it yes. He told me to bring in receipt. It was filthy!! Chunks of ??? hair, leaves. I took photos there before I left the shop. I told him this was unacceptable. He agreed and apologized. Said manager would be there when I brought it back and I could talk to her then. I took it home vacuumed the chunks, used a Lint roller to pick up bits the vacuum could not pick up. Sewed part of the hat back on to the head where threads had broken causing the hat to tilt at an odd angle partly covering the eyes. I brought it back with photographs to show manager how nasty it was. She was not there. On duty clerk lied to me about who the manager was. (Gee, I wonder why she does not want her name given out.) He called her and he said she said there was nothing to do about it because we had accepted it in that condition. I was scheduled for an event the next morning with a number of children for photos. What could I have done? A promise is a promise. I guess the owners/manager don't consider a mascot costume rental agreement a promise. Do NOT trust this place/these people.
