Beautiful park and manor house. We did a Sunday tour: $5 for adults and free for children under 5…read more It is a nicely restored home and it has some really cool nooks and crannies. I love how the family was linked to the Seiberling family. (Basically they were in the railroad industry and transported their tires). The house is large, but not flashy nor extravagant. Just well-decorated and captures a snapshot of the era(s) when they lived there. I am excited go back at christmastime.

There is a number of things to see and explore ; from The Manor House( the former H.B. Stewart family home) to fishing at the 2-acre Shady Lane Pond, a stunning garden or mountain bike trails- this is a great park for all to enjoy! If you have children, there is a wonderful nature center with hands on activities, a large playground and live animals such as owls & hawks. You can also enjoy camping, plenty of hiking trails & even cross-country skiing during the colder months. My best friends had their wedding ceremony in the garden last summer...a lot of great options for pictures from a stone arch wall, the gazebo to the beautiful flowers themselves. There are also horse trails available as well as geocatching, a gift shop & a concessions stand with ice cream, etc.

Absolutely horrible. Trash all over the campground, no one to clean or take care of anything. The…read moreflowers are all dead. The first night we stayed the people by us stayed up till 3 am blaring awful rap music (which I like but not for my 4year old) someone else had a fart noise on a speaker all night and didn't stop till 4 am. Not once did anyone from the camp come over to tell anyone to quit down. The people next to us weren't watching their kids and their kids ended up at our site playing which was fine, but no parents were watching their kids which is crazy in this day in age. The next day the same people were doing drugs in their car and everyone in their party was going in and out of the car. Kids all over who swear and have no adult supervision. It's extremely disgusting, annoying and just upsetting this place was like this. We were supposed to stay Sunday too but we left early bc it was so bad.

Went to take a shower after a long drive -- NO HOT WATER. I called the office to complain. Someone came to "fix", but after waiting a couple of hours after I was told it was "fixed", there was still NO hot water. Early in the morning, I tried again..... still none. Bathroom facilities by the laundry area were locked. Washers in facility were dirty. NO Amenities as advertised. NO free wifi. We checked out after not being able to shower. Basically paid $88.50 for a night's stay (Electric hookup only). Asked to get half of my money back, for the night we did stay. Reimbursement for this was never made.

The camping grounds were mainly RVs and Campers but plenty of people camped with tents too. Overall the park is very family & dog friendly and there is electricity on some sites. The grounds are huge and there are tons of places to walk and hike. There are Decent amenities with showers and bathrooms with stalls, and sinks with running water. The sites each have a picnic table and fire circle, some are shaded and some are mostly sunny. The owners drive around a golf cart all day making sure everything is going well for everyone. The rules are 2 cars per site but there is easy parking not far from the sites for any other cars. Quiet times seem to be from 10/11pm - 7/8am. But generally where we camped it was quiet for most of the time! We were on site 235 and had another site across the street that was on a path, and the RACCOONS are savage. They came within 5 feet of us with no hesitation but we put away food so we didn't lose anything crucial. Overall it was a great place to take kids and enjoy a weekend away! Being from medina, the drive is about 35 minutes, so it was easy getting to and from the park. I would absolutely return to hike, canoe, or paddle-board. I recommend visiting if you need a weekend away!
