Kathie was highly recommended and although very busy, worked us into her schedule. He normally is groomed on a regular basis but due to the move and some health issues, he was quite shaggy! Kathie did an excellent job shaping him up again. As an older dog (13 yrs) he has some sensitive spots and she was extremely careful around those areas. He was happy and relaxed when I picked him up - right on time! A happy dog is the clear stamp of approval!

As a matter of fact, the oldest dog cannot be told they are getting haircuts until we are just about ready to walk out the door. He gets so excited to be going to see Melanie, that he sits by the door and will wait to get in the car. I am very particular about how my dogs are groomed. Melanie has never disappointed me. When we leave Melanie's they prance like they've been at a spa! Our dogs are treated just like our children with love and compassion. When I came in they asked me to pick up my dog and hand them to him. My medical issues are very obvious. Then when they were trimming his nails, she cut into his Kwik, twice. And after she did, she told my dog he was fine. No sympathy for his pain. No affection for him at all. I didn't get the impression that she liked animals at all. Very stoic. Then the bill came to $10.55. I gave her $15.55 expecting my change. She said thanks and kept my change. I tip generously when we're taken care of properly, but I NEVER would have tipped her 50%! Will NEVER go back. And my Aunt had the exact same experience. She'll never be back either. VERY DISTURBING.

We were driving up from Chicago, we had previous reservations at a boarding facility near home, but decided to bring them along for the car ride and try out Pampered Paws. Wow - so impressed! Hard pressed to find a place even similar to the space and daycare that is offered here versus our handful of places towards the city. Our two dogs were there for 2 nights and slept the entire way home afterwards - you could tell they loved it! The report card stated exactly what we would have figured (one pup being so energetic and the other being ADDICTED to human love haha!). We will be recommending to everyone near and far if they are planning on heading towards the Dells! Looking forward to our next trip that way so Winnie & Wilson can hang with the crew again!
