A few days ago I had service call for my dryer. A man named travell showed up and immediately things didn't look right. In the end there were three cop cars pictures and statements taken due to a boxing match in my entryway​ and kitchen. See the picture? I'm defending myself and my own home. It started when he tracked in snow three times for forgetting various items and when I noted the water Trail he snapped and said " you ain't tell me to put them on " I declined to pay credit card and said I will call the company and pay it myself and I'll be sure to mention your attitude. He purposely scuffed his boots all the way down my wood floor to spite me and the brawl was on .This is not the same County Wide this is different and I've seen it in the other reviews. My washing machine starting making an awful noise one day, only during the rinse/spin cycle. I called to make an appointment and got in as quickly as my schedule allowed. They asked a few questions over the phone to get a basic idea of the problem(s). I wasn't entirely pleased at the cost of just the service call (~$100) but realized that it takes into account the knowledge of the tech and the rising costs of everything. The gentleman called to let me know he'd be at my home in about 20 minutes, and was early into my two-hour block of time. Thankfully the issue was able to be fixed on the spot and the tech had all the parts needed. The final price was very reasonable and I will gladly call this company again if needed. read more

I hate to give this bad review but they left me with no other option. A month ago they came to fix my dishwasher. It was a temporary fix (told by said repair man) and said If it broke further they would order a control panel and fix it permanently. Well error e15 came back on and I called them. Mind you my dishwasher is humming and running at this point. They said they would order said part. It would be in by Friday at the latest. I call Friday and they said oh you will be called with the time they will be at your house. No call. I call them. Yes part is in they will call me with time. Third call.. I say you are coming on Wednesday right? This is what I was told. Again mind you my dishwasher still running and my only option it to hit circuit breaker to turn it off to half the house. The last thing I need is for some sort of electrical fire. The repair man gets on the phone and says oh this part won't fix your issue.. I don't know why they ordered it. I will have to check with someone here and call you back. No call back! Zero contact since. I have been without dishwasher and with my circuit off for over two weeks. I took it upon myself to order a brand new dishwasher and it will be installed by lowes wednesday.. still no message or apology from this company. I won't ever use them again. One thing to say hey we can't fix it but you led us on for over two weeks when we could have had a new one installed at least a week earlier. read more

We had a great experience using County Wide Appliance. Mike was very thorough and professional. He first came to fix a 1990's Sub Zero Freezer, now it works like new. Then we had a brand new cook top installed by another company, it ended up with electrical issues due to installer error. We called County Wide and Mike was able to quickly diagnose the problem, tell us what we needed to do on our end, order the part, and come back within a matter of days to fix it. Considering this cook top situation was frustrating at best, we really appreciated the skilled and friendly, in-person service he provided. read more

A technician came to my home to repair an oven hinge. First, I was called yesterday to tell me it would be between 9 and 11. That was fine. I altered my schedule to accommodate the technician. He arrived at 11:15 unmasked. When I asked him if he usually wears a mask, he replied "no, not usually." He asked me if I had a mask which I did and offered it to him. He replied "that's for you since you asked me to wear one." Thought this exchange a bit rude. I was barely in the same room with him while he repairing the oven. I complied when I was around him yet he never had any intention of protecting me against him!! I asked him if his employer required masks to be worn. He replied "no." I am very disappointed in Countywide Appliance for not protecting their employees or customers! Shame on you! read more

Apparently County Wide is only interested in coming to the home so they can get the service charge which I was told was $125 by the rude person who I spoke with at the store. I brought in the top shelf of my dishwasher which needed the roller parts on the side replaced. I had new parts with me and because I wasn't sure if they were the right parts that created a problem. When I said that they didn't have to use the parts, I was told because I didn't have the model number with me (could have easily called it in when I got home) they couldn't fix it. There are many good appliance repair places, pick another one. read more

If I could do 0 stars I would. Called because a piece that they supposedly replaced and was brand new, broke after less than a year. Called to have someone take a look at it and nobody ever called me back. Called again to complain and when they looked up my account it never showed that I called, in fact they never even had any record that I was even a customer or that the part was ever ordered. My point exactly, I paid almost $300 for them to come out and put an old piece in. They asked me if I was sure that I did business with them as if I was some crazy lady calling a random company claiming that they did work for me and never did. Good thing I had the voided checks to prove it!!! Keep your receipts and voided checks as I did, because you will need them since this company is poorly managed and cannot be trusted. read more

First review ever left on Yelp. I used County Wide Appliance faithfully through three houses for approximately 7-8 years.... I was delighted, no ecstatic, to learn last fall from one of their repairmen that they repaired Kitchen Aide Mixers. I'm a big baker and cook. I entertain upwards of 20 people at thanksgiving and distribute dozens and dozens of cookies and candy at holiday time. I had a spare mixer that wasn't working and wanted it repaired. I dropped it off in January. I didn't pick it up until March because I never received the call it was ready. Being confident in their abilities, yes, my bad, I didn't test the mixer out and bake anything. It seemed fine when I plugged it in and turned it on. I started DIY remodeling my kitchen cabinets and floors in March just finishing up about two weeks ago. I have no AC here so there was no summer baking going on. I went to use the mixer and found out the speed settings were off and needed to be adjusted....no low speed or stir = flour and cake mix everywhere. I wasn't concerned. I wasn't EVEN worried about the warranty. That wasn't the point. I took it to County Wide today to find out they no longer repair Kitchen Aide mixers. When I asked if they wouldn't consider repairing it because they had just worked it on it earlier this year it was a big no. When I protested I was told I had brought it in January and the warranty was 90 days. apparently the warranty starts when you drop it off, not when you pick it up. Again, I happily would have paid again to have it fixed, that's not why I was there. It is a 45 minute one way trip for me to even be there. When I asked to see a manager, I was told he was the manager. Then I was told it was essentially too bad I'd had this experience, the warranty came up again ("it's been 10 months") again, I didn't pick it up until March..... and he actually said they don't know how to fix them and that's why they're not fixing them anymore. It's too complicated. They weren't making enough money at it. Call me old fashioned, but I miss the days of good customer service, of managers who look old enough to have graduated from college, and repair men who provide a needed service and actually know what they're doing and what they're talking about. Even better, of being valued as a long-time customer. Yes, one bad customer service experience can really sour a long term relationship. I won't use them again unless I have no choice under a warranty for any of the five, extremely expensive appliances I have in my current home. read more
