I had mentioned to Darla to skip service because of this, and will resume when ready. But just noticed that I have been continued to be auto charged ($87 each time) good thing I looked as I was getting ripped off. Very surprised of this as I'd mentioned this for multiple months to get ahead of this situation and give HomeShield as much communication as possible. It is crappy feeling to have my money taken like that I called in and spoke with Luca and he was helpful in telling me that I'll get credited back for 2 months, and will have CC on hold so not charged. That made me feel good. He said I'd get confirmation email in a few minutes but it's been nearly 2 hours and no email and my CC still showing no credit/refund. They are happy to auto charge me, but cannot accommodate their current customers with the ability to pause service, causing additional headache for me I'll see if there is anything worth updating if/when it happens. otherwise will go straight to credit card company and dispute charges...I don't have time to keep going back to HomeShield to check if they did their work right Still considering if I will continue with HomeShield once I need service again; but I figure I'll have better choice when that time comes UPDATE: after reading other review of not being able to cancel service, I called right back and spoke with Patricia. I asked to cancel service, but she could not do so and had to transfer me to other department and ask me to hold for "2 minutes". After 2 minutes, she came back on saying no one could talk to me to cancel. Seriously?? I asked if I can get her my verbal authorization to relay my cancel message to someone. No can do, so I have to wait for someone to call me back so I can say "CANCEL" really frustrated now...

Everyone I interacted with was fantastic. From Chris, who came out to the property, to every person I spoke with over the phone or through text, the team was professional, helpful, and extremely responsive. At one point they even went back out to the property to personally educate my tenants on what to expect and what they needed to do to prepare, which I really appreciated. When I had concerns about a subcontractor involved in the process, they addressed everything immediately and made sure my concerns were handled. They were also the only fumigation company I spoke with that offered a theft-deterrent option while the property was tented, which gave me peace of mind. On top of that, they gave me the best price right out of the gate. Great company to work with--I would absolutely recommend Nixtermite.

Inspection went fine, but when I called to schedule the actual tenting I got connected with an AI scheduling bot. Unbeknownst to me, the bot totally messed up and scheduled me for another inspection rather than tenting. When I called to confirm appointment later, I was informed of the error. They told me that they were unable to tent the day I needed it done. There was nothing that they could do and they were "sorry". Total screw-up on their behalf. Stop using AI slop. Do not recommend.

We were informed by our pest control company M that they found a number of local infestations of…read moretermites during their routing inspection. We had been using this large company for several years and had found them to be capable of doing the routine work. We asked for an estimate and it was several thousand dollars for treating the termites and a another few thousand for the carpentry work to replace the eaves and decking. With such a large amount involved, I contacted two additional companies. One came out and wanted even more money and told me the entire house should be treated as a precaution. Cal Coast, the last to visit, did a thorough inspection - the only of the three to document each problem area with photos- and recommended localized treatment for well under $1000 including the wood repairs. Some of the areas the other companies said were termites, were dry rot according to Cal Coast. The other companies also wanted to replace forty feet of fascia board, even though there were just a few inches of damage in each area. The differences in estimates were so huge I spoke at length with Michael of Cal Coast, who conducted the inspection. He confirmed my thoughts that the other two companies were doing much more than was needed. It was so unusual to find a company that distinguishes between work that is needed from what is not. Cal Coast did the work promptly and I hired them do do regular inspections, after "terminating " my previous company. It's nice to find those companies that think of their customers before of their bottom line. It's great for the customer and should be great for the business in the long run, because the word gets out through reviews like this.

Ayana, whom I spoke with when I reached out, was so kind, patient, and friendly with every question I had. Her professionalism and warm approach truly won our business, and the whole appointment notification system over text was seamless from start to finish. And then there's Omar! From the moment he arrived for our backyard inspection, it was clear we were in the hands of a seasoned professional. He was thorough, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable -- exactly what we needed when we discovered we actually had a squirrel situation on our hands (not a gopher, which is what a wildlife removal company told us the day before). Rather than just doing a quick walkthrough, he took the time to genuinely explain what was going on and answer every single question we had. His guidance gave us a real understanding of the problem, which made a stressful situation feel so much more manageable. We are truly grateful for the expertise and care this entire team put into helping us. Five stars, without question!

Also, they are using AI to handle customer phone calls which is insane. We're already looking for a new company.

Recently, I had them come out because I suspected termites in one of our rafter tails. To their credit, they correctly identified that specific spot as just fungus and didn't try to oversell me on treatments I didn't need. However, their inspection was incredibly brief. They spent only a few minutes scanning the house, didn't check the attic at all, and gave us the all-clear. A couple of days later, I had a second company come out for another look. They spent almost an hour doing a thorough inspection and found a severe termite infestation in a different rafter tail that was almost entirely hollowed out. They spotted the signs right through the paint. Green Flash completely missed this. On top of the missed inspection, the wood rot repairs Green Flash did for us 5 years ago (costing about $1,200) have both failed and need to be redone. They spliced a rafter tail that is now loose, and it turns out they miscut a replacement barge board on the back of the house. To cover up the bad cut, they glued a scrap piece of wood over it, which has since detached and is currently hanging off the board. Bottom line: They failed to do a thorough termite inspection, and their carpentry work doesn't hold up. I highly recommend getting a second opinion on their inspections and hiring a dedicated specialist for any actual wood repairs.
