Response to this comment: Sorry but you did not mention anything about separate electrical work in your initial bid. You had to plans for the lights. It was an oversight on your part and you didn't take responsibility for it in the end. The credit you provided covers but a fraction of the cost of the custom lights that were thrown in the trash. The repairs that I called you back for multiple times were not just "touch-ups." Crooked pieces of wood had to be changed out. Wood that was not properly secured had to be secured. Wood filler and bondo was applied in a very sloppy manner and needed to be smoothed out. I don't think these are minor quality issues. I would expect a seasoned company to accomplish these things without the customer having to constantly point them out. It's as is your company was trying to cut corners and hope that the customer would not notice. Your argument about nonfunctional lights and dry rot being due to them is false. The lights were functional before your company tore them down without a plan to salvage them. As I pointed out in an email to you, we have a similar wood structure in the backyard that is in an even higher moisture location with exact same lights that has no dry rot. The lighting system is not implicated in the dry rot. Please don't use this common contractor technique to deflect blame on your customer. read more

I scheduled an escrow termite inspection with Twin Termite. The girl who helped with scheduling was very friendly and helpful. The cost for the escrow inspection was only $75, which is half what a lot of the other termite companies will charge. They require payment upfront, which I was OK with. The day after I scheduled the inspection, I found out from the buyer agent that they were requiring their preferred termite company to do the inspection. I had to call back and cancel. The very friendly girl once again answered. I assumed I would not get my $75 back, but she went out of her way to make sure I was refunded. We were having our bathroom remodeled after having a major leak. When they did the demolition, we could see major termite damage. The contractor said we needed to have the termites addressed before they put in new wood. We found Twin Termite and read the reviews. The experience from beginning to end was amazing. We were dealing with a time crunch due to the contractor And the bathroom issues. They came out the same day we contacted them and did the estimate. Arturo the technician came out and did the spraying for the bathroom and the crawlspace underneath the bathroom. He was professional and extremely nice. He took the time to explain what was going on, he came back on a different day to finish the rest of the job as there was no time constraint for that part of the treatment. We were extremely happy with the service we received. The man who came out to do the estimate was professional and explained everything in a way that made sense and we felt the price was reasonable for the service we were getting. We were disappointed to find termites last year in our garage, after having our entire house/deck tented two years prior (with a different company). We tried to slow the destruction with a can of termite spray, but the critters were quickly back again this year happily munching away on our garage beams. Twin Termite is an example for other pest control companies to follow and for customers to appreciate and enjoy their experience. On 14January2016, one day before a long and extended escrow was due to close, it was discovered the termite report had not been done! The buyers had moving trucks lines up for Saturday and it was a three-day weekend so if property did not close Friday they could not move in until the next Tuesday or Wednesday. After about ten late morning calls to local companies that were unable to perform (even the company we had used for many years), Twin Termite answered and said they could have an inspector out right away. He was there within one hour, the inspector gave a verbal condition of findings while at the property and had the written report emailed to all parties before 4pm. There were three items to address so the seller quickly had those completed by a contractor, emailed the proof of completion of those items to Twin Termite offices and we received the clearance at 8:25am the next morning so escrow could fund the loan, release the property to record and the buyers move in the same day before that long holiday weekend. We did not have remediation work performed by Twin Termite because there was not enough time but based on their professionalism and experienced employees I think they would be very reasonable and we will have them bid out remediation work on future work. Twin Termite has offices throughout California and appears their main office is in Sacramento area and that office acts as a backup to local offices to assist in report distribution, forwarding messages to workers in the field and getting clearances to escrow. That networking and teamwork allowed for a rapid response, great communication, a successful closing and therefore a happy seller, buyer, escrow, title and all others involved. So thank you Kayla for coordinating the initial call in, Doug for getting to the property within about an hour and the same-day report, then to Noelle in Sacramento for coordinating and sending final clearance to escrow before they opened the day of closing! We look forward to working with you again and will hopefully not have to do a one-day turn around on the report / clearance ever again... but it is good to work with a company that has the capability to do that if needed. I do not know what other 'services' Twin Home Services provides but I will find out and will be working with their Termite and Pest Control services again and proactively recommend them to all others. read more

So Twin Termite was the first company I called to check my home. Doug spent 2 hours thoroughly inspecting my house. He was professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. The only reason I did not book on the spot was because of the price. I wanted to compare. I called 2 other companies, none which were able to identify the subterraneans that Doug had noticed. After showing one guy the subterraneans he missed his quote was much closer to Dougs. Terminix was the other utterly horrible worse company ever that quoted me 3 times the price and also did not identify the subterraneans. Ok - I admit it - we found a coupon for Twin Termite in the paper. Of course that wouldn't be the full story. Getting ready to close on refinance and needed termite inspection. We had another company inspect, and their prices was high and they wanted to tent for two small areas. With four grand kids under 4, we didn't want to go that route unless absolutely needed. As mentioned, with coupon in hand we called Twin Termite. Fortunately, we caught a break in that they had a cancellation. The inspector, Benjamin, came out and gave the house a good going over (even checking places the other company had not). It was determined that they could treat the house with the orange oil with comparable results. We were very pleased with the Technician - Aaron and his thoroughness to complete the job correctly. We could sense his company pride in dealing with us. Also too, working with Devyn in the office who went the extra steps to get the report to us in a timely manner. All in all - overall, very good. In June of 2017 my wife and I purchased a home in El Cajon. The House was tented for termites prior to closing. In May of this year we contacted Twin Termite & Pest Control and asked for a representative to come out and inspect the house prior to the 1 year guarantee provided by the company that tented the House. Doug Johnson came out on 5/22/18 and inspected the house noting multiple areas of existing dry rot and termite damage that should have been taken care of when the house was tented. He explained the damage and what was needed to resolve the damage issues and gave us a very fair estimate for repairing the damage and treating materials adjacent to the damage to prevent dry rot spread to I damaged wood. He also stated tha we should contact the original Termite control company as they were the ones who should make the repairs. We followed Doug's advice and the original company responded favorably and will repair the damage. Doug is a class act. Very patient and generous with his time. We appreciate his honesty and integrity. We will be contacting Twin Termite for regular inspection and treatment of the House after the repairs are completed. read more
