Inspection went fine, but when I called to schedule the actual tenting I got connected with an AI scheduling bot. Unbeknownst to me, the bot totally messed up and scheduled me for another inspection rather than tenting. When I called to confirm appointment later, I was informed of the error. They told me that they were unable to tent the day I needed it done. There was nothing that they could do and they were "sorry". Total screw-up on their behalf. Stop using AI slop. We were disappointed in Nix Termite, due to various issues. The initial salesman was excellent and we were very satisfied with his knowledge and helpfulness.... so we booked them. We scheduled a pre-fumigation meeting and he never showed up. When we called the main office they said he no longer works there - this is when the problems began. Apparently they weren't paying attention to his calendar because no one showed up to this pre-fumigation meeting so we had to reschedule it. The second meeting date came and no one showed again... we called the office and they said the guy was running late so we waited longer. He showed up 45 minutes late with no acknowledgement or apology for being late (turns out it was the owner). Some of the information he shared with us during that meeting turned out to be incorrect, and on later dates when we called the main office to confirm timing, etc. they gave us different information. He told us to remove parts of our fence to allow for the tent, then when the third-party tenting company arrived to install the tent they told us we removed the wrong pieces of fence and they removed the correct pieces. He also told us to remove a bush in the front yard to SDG&E could access the gas meter to turn it off - later the representative from SDG&E told us we didn't need to do that (after the bush was already gone). It felt like problem after problem, and it was a very stressful experience. Every time we called the main office to ask timing questions they were very ambiguous and not very helpful with their answers. Next time we will definitely hire a different company! read more

Our inspector, Travis, did an amazing job. He was honest, thorough, and truly trustworthy. We suspected termites after finding termite droppings in our garage, so he carefully inspected the area and then went around the entire house looking for any signs of wood damage or active termites. Travis determined that the droppings were old and had simply fallen or settled due to the house shifting. He assured us there was no serious wood repair needed and no need to tent or even spot treat. He provided a quote just in case we ever did want to consider repairs or in future did need spot treatment, but reassured us that the wood was still in good shape. We called Nixtermite to perform an inspection on a house we were buying. It turned out we'd called the company who had tented it two years prior when the current owners bought it, so when the inspector Travis showed up he had the whole history of what had been done before. Travis was very knowledgeable and professional, and made sure all our questions were answered before he left from the inspection. It turned out most of the damage was discovered two years prior but the prior owners had decided not to repair it. So we decided to have Nixtermite perform some spot treatments of where termites were present, and also perform the repairs from prior. Their on site crew was professional and courteous, and Daniel went the extra mile to contact us daily to let us know what was done and that everything was locked up and what time they'd be back the next day. The front office staff are great and quick to respond. Basically every interaction with Nixtermite was great. Travis Stradley did the initial inspection and understood that we wanted to include our fences and eventually a neighbors shed attached to the fence. This was not a usual request. We used Nixtermite in August 2023 for a whole-home fumigation. The two stars are because they do offer competitive pricing, but after communicating with them now on several occasions, we'd rather have spent more out of pocket and worked with a competitor. Every single scheduled appointment - from the initial visit for an estimate, to the pre-tenting appointment to go over prep details to the two after-tenting pest control services we've had - has NEVER happened at the scheduled time. We get a call either hours prior asking if they can just come right then, or, in the case of our two pest control appointments, a call to cancel because they don't have staff to come out. It's extremely frustrating and their lack of dependability really just became expected and almost laughable to us after the first few times. If you have a dog that you need to coordinate pest control around, or a child who naps who you try to coordinate in-home appointments around, we would absolutely not recommend them at all. They're all over the place. They use a sub-contractor for the actual tenting - so although we also had issues with them and their communication, I suppose that's not entirely Nixtermite's fault. The icing on the cake is that we cancelled existing pest control services that we had and were happy with because the Nixtermite package came with a year of pest control included. Since switching over, it has been a nightmare in terms of bugs popping up now that we never had previously. We won't be having them come out to our property for any of the additional pest control services that we paid for as part of the package and are really just relieved to be done with this place. read more
