La persona de mantenimiento con el policía en la oficina mencionó que no podría abrir la oficina y revisar las cámaras con las autoridades. Courtyard Apartments is a great place to live. When you move in, you don't have to worry about the dishwasher, fridge , freezer , microwave and stove oven. They have that covered for you. And additionally they have a pool for your pleasure in the Summer time which is by appointment only due to the pandemic protocols. One thing I like about this property is that I don't have to go around town to wash laundry as there is on site laundry for $2.00 for 30 minutes wash and $1.25 dry for 48 minutes. Additional wash and dry time can be purchased on the machines. there are 3 floors. You need to buy a laundry card for a one time purchase of $5 to store money on it. Minimum purchase is $10 and maximum is $40 The complex recently got new management and she has been nice and super helpful at resolving questions that tenants may have. She has answered my questions to my satisfaction. Also, the maintenance manager has also been helpful at resolving the issues with our apartment when we have called. The one good thing about living here is that this area has lots to discover and it's a short walk or drive to Downtown Hayward. We have a movie theater, farmers market, restaurants a plenty on B Street and more stuff. Think Summer fun leaving your car at home and walking with the family for a day of fun locally! If shopping is your fancy, Southland Mall is a short drive up Winton from Courtyard which also has other places to eat. And Mission Ave too has lots of places nearby so you don't have to travel far. Grocery stores are close proximity. Safeway and Lucky's. Two Luckys on Santa Clara and Mission, Two Safeways, one on Jackson and Foothill Blvd. So if you decide to move here, you essentially have everything you need here to live comfortably and make your shopping experiences convenient. read more

There is a lot of car breaking in and stealing if you park your car on the street. Is it so scary to walk on the street near the apartment. The house has always mold with strong bad smell which is unhealthy for humans specially for kids. The is also leaks in the bathroom, in the closet (all our clothes smell bad) New Manager is also bad. Moved in about a month ago. Wanted to post for those considering moving in so you have a full picture and no surprises. I do recommend living here, but like all places, it has pluses and minuses. 1) Many of the utilities are communal (sewer, trash, water), and the cost per month ranges from $65-$82 depending on the time of year, etc. Electricity is a separate bill via PG&E. There's also a city tax of $9 every three months for emergency services. 2) The deposit is very low-cost (!). $800 for a $1500/month one bedroom apartment. However, they do a very thorough credit check and call your employer, etc. 3) They only give you one of each type of building key (for two people!) and then charge $25-50 for copies. You are not reimbursed this cost when keys are returned. I was denied permission to make my own copies of DO NOT DUPLICATE keys (key card for front door, exterior building keys, pool key). It makes accessibility difficult unless you're willing to spend $50 per key. 4) Inside the complex, there's very little reception for T-mobile or Google Fi. Per neighbors' recommendation, I just got AT&T cell phone service. I get okay reception now. 5) Xfinity internet service is quite fast in this location. :) 6) Regarding repairs - sometimes things are fixed quickly, and sometimes not so much. A light switch that needed repair? Same day. Shower doors that needed a repair? Same day. A burner on the stove that doesn't work? 1 month. Maintenance workers are very personable and around M-F full-time. 7) There's a manager on site, and she's in an office at the front of the unit part time. She's nice, but can be hard to track down at times. She receives packages from mail carriers, and so theft has never been a problem. You can deposit rent checks into a mail slot into her office (safe). 8) The complex is well-maintained, and communal spaces are kept clean. On the ground level, however, you'll find dog poop once in a while, and there is the smell of dog urine. 9) Laundry rooms are kept clean, and machines are often available. $1.25 -1.75 per wash, and $1.25 per dry. You can do laundry between 8 am and 10 pm. 10) Quiet hours are 10 pm to 8 am, and although you do hear noise through the walls, I haven't had a problem with folks being noisy (no parties, extra loud music). The pool is popular, and honestly, there are frequently children (happily) screaming outside. During the daytime, it's not super quiet. Although pet cats and dogs are not allowed, several therapy dogs are on site (the small, yippy kind, unfortunately). BART station is within walking distance and complex is right next to tracks - but noise from trains isn't a problem. 11) Smoking is allowed in the complex, so second-hand smoke comes wafting into your apartment through the windows, etc. The lease says nothing about smoking, so it appears the management company has no plans to transition into a smoke-free complex. 12) There is an elevator, but the complex is not set up for people with limited mobility or large bodies (there's no ramp - only stairs, and stairwells and elevator are very cramped). 13) Street parking is easy to find across Jackson (if you're willing to walk 2 blocks), otherwise it's a little tight. 14) Re: tenants. I've found neighbors to be very friendly. It's a very diverse complex in terms of ethnicities, religions and age groups - which is actually pretty impressive, as housing providers tend to (illegally) discriminate unconsciously /behind closed. read more

I wanted to come a take a look at these apartments but it never happened. Here's the reasons why: 1. they don't do viewings on weekends 2. they don't do viewings after 5 3. they don't make exceptions for potential new tenants. but I'm okay with their decision to be completely useless because after reading these reviews this place sounds SUUUUUUUUUUPER tacky and beyond ghetto. How should I get this started... I would first like to point out that the post from Rosie that rated this a 5 star place is unfortunately a fake to get people to move in which was probably created by the onsite manager or their friends. If you plan to move at this apartment complex here are a few things you should be aware of. 1.) Maintenance and repairs There is maintenance onsite and they are friendly however very rarely are things fixed quickly or properly. A good example: The Elevator at this property kept breaking down and was poorly maintained which took them a long time to fix when it finally crapped out. A couple of the exterior doors around the complex had broken door knobs and that took 4 months to fix etc. When you put requests in for service they do not let you know 24 hours in advanced when they will be entering your apartment. There are no work order forms to fill out like other places so there are no records to keep and no forms that they leave in your apartment letting you know the job was complete. The bathroom light fixtures are installed upside down and the moistures from the shower catches inside the fixture and burns the bulbs out so if you have money to keep replacing your bulbs which by the way are not ordinary bulbs you will have lots of fun. 2.) Partime Onsite Manager The onsite manager BEWARE!!! She has No! compassion, No! Customer service skills, No! people skills, Very! arrogant, and self-centered. She is very hard to track down if you need anything and if you see her in the office then its a miracle. There have been many times where I needed to speak with the manager and she was not in the office during office hours, I called the office phone and the maintenance man was taking all the calls. In the mornings the maintenance members are in the office by themselves and have been seen going through file cabinets so if you are one like me who worries about private information then don't move here. Race - yes I said race and no its not some cliche. If you are hispanic or a friend of the manager you will not have a problem here but if you are black, asian, white, Indian etc you will as you are put at the bottom of her pedestal. 3.) Apartment Unit Don't let the photos of the apartments that are posted online fool you. The cabinets are very outdated from the 1970's, The appliances are very old and outdated. The only "Update/remodel" they did was make the floor lament instead of carpet. If you pay close attention to the photos they have on their website you will see how old the AC unit is, How old the wall sockets are (Which by the way there are electrical issues in multiple apartments). I have not experienced this myself however many of the tenants I have spoken to complained about when the rain season comes their apartment has little to major water leaks and that it mostly comes from their bedroom window and walls. 4.)Tenants There is a very diverse group of tenants at this complex and everyone I have encountered has been very friendly and great group of people! 5.)Parking You are provided one parking spot but if you have more then 1 vehicle it will be very hard to find parking in the street as there are other apartments in the area that also take up the street parking. 6.) Handicap Accessible NOPE! This place does not accommodate individual who are handicap. There are no Handicap parking spaces on the property, There are no ramps from the exterior doors of the property and if you are in a wheel chair you will have to find a way to climb stairs. I hope the owners of this property read this: "Do right by the people!" Tenants like a safe and positive environment with the best customer service. read more

I lived here for over two years. Originally I lived in the one bedroom and then when my lease was up, I upgraded to a two bedroom. The apartment was nice, and most importantly- the management was absolutely wonderful. . If my apartment had a problem (and it did a few times, i.e. broken pipe, leaky pipe) They had someone there working on it within the hour. They really care about their tenants and are NEVER in your business. If you have a problem, go to them and it gets taken care of. I moved out because they do not allow pets and I desperately wanted a puppy. I am giving 4 stars because it is an older looking apartment complex, and it does not have a fitness center. However, for a HUGE 2 bedroom I paid 1325 and it came with a walk in closet and master bedroom bathroom. Worth it!!! read more

Where do I start? These apartments completely sucked. My parents & I lived here for a bout 6 months. Not only were the units quite small, but the neighbors above us were obnoxiously loud! Constantly throughout the day & night we'd hear loud noises of what seemed like they were working out and dropping dumbbells on the floor. It seriously seemed like they had their own home version of 24hour Fitness up there! They were always dragging heavy furniture and playing loud music. What tops the cake off is that about 5 months into our 1 year lease, we got a hefty overgrowth of mold in my parent's master bedroom. Yuk! I told the main office about it and they just sent the maintenance guy in to wipe up the mold and then paint over it. Um, hello..how's that supposed to ensure that it doesn't grow back?! Sure enough about a week later more mold started reappearing! We had enough with experiencing allergic reactions and being grossed out that we terminated our lease and moved out to another apartment complex ASAP. This apartment complex is really amazing.  I lived in a two bedroom at this location for seven years with my husband and two kids and found it to be a very adequate home at a very reasonable price ($1250/month). It is in a quite nice area right off the 92 - Jackson street  It's a 10 minute walk to the Bart station, library and downtown Hayward. lots of stores within a few minute drive. 580, 880. And 92 are all with in 2 miles.  The residents are generally somewhat geriatric making it a very quite complex. A single parking space is included, and when available there are some small one car garage. I love my garage. The apartments are by no means glamorous; but they do offer useful amenities such as dishwashers and washers and dryers.  There is a laundry unit  on each floor.  Every time i go they are available. Its a gated community. It feels safe. There's lots of cameras in the parking ( always a plus.) They have a good size heated swimming pool. And doesn't get crowed. Always very clean. apartments are very comfortable and spacious. The manager lives on the premises and is exceedingly friendly. She looks very young, but don't let that fool you. She gets things done. She looks like she's on top of things. I've put in work orders and they're very quick. The maintenance are very friendly and someone is always on call. Good for emergencies or lock outs. The only down sides from my perspective is that they don't allow pets. All things considered, courtyard apartments are a steal.  The price is o'so right and the interior conditions are reasonable. Management seems to care and location is prime.  If you need an apartment and have the opportunity to acquire a unit here I would highly recommend jumping on it as quickly as possible. read more

I lived in this complex for 4.5 years. The staff (leasing office and maintenance crew) was very friendly, responsive, and professional. There was gated parking, neighbors were friendly. My 2bd 2ba unit had a great, spacious layout. Great location near the local shopping centers, freeway onramps, and downtown Hayward. I enjoyed living here, and highly recommend it. Some items of note: -Is an older building, however management company keeps it well maintain and upgraded -I did hear my neighbors through the walls, but it wasn't frequently and never bothersome. read more

AVOID!! Thank god I never moved here! I was suppose to move in on the 10th of August and got a call from Cristina a week before move in date saying that unfortunately the apartment was no longer available for rent because the renters were not moving out! They "tried" to help me find another place but could not offer me the same price. Since then up until now I have not heard anything else from them. Today I had to call her to fix an issue and when I told her that what they did was illegal she was like "Look I'm not going to argue with you!" Like excuse me you never once had the curticy to call and see when I was gonna pick up my deposit, see if I was able to find another place, see if there was anything else you could do for me since this was your mistake NOT MINE!! I absolutely love these apartments. When I called to get information about the place the information was very detailed. When I moved into the place I was very happy with my choice. Not only was the staff friendly but so was the neighbors. Building is always clean and well groomed. Great place to raise a family. I lived there for about 4 years.
