Courtyard brewing

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone and everyone who wants a chill atmosphere with some amazing beer![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have plenty beers to choose from and they work with local non profits. Unfortunately we had already eaten before we came to the brewery, but our friends told us that they're absolutely phenomenal. So definitely will come hungry next time. Go check this place out!

On a brewery scavenger hunt and found this place. They had a wide variety of stouts with high ABV!! They were really good and they have a burger joint attached. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Courtyard seating and vintage setting on the inside with very dope artwork.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Knowledgeable, friendly personnel as well!

We came here after visiting the National WWII Museum which is maybe a 5-10 minute walk away. I liked the courtyard area but because it was a bit chilly we sat inside. It's funky and fun with a very friendly bartender who poured us a couple of samples. We chatted about Chicago beer until more thirsty customers arrived. I got a sour, shockingly, but it was really nice! Black raspberry flavors! If you get hungry know there's ice cream on-site by the scoop AND they have vegan options! Definitely a place I'd like to revisit when I'm NOLA again.

This place had some chill vibes and is a bit off the beaten path. Their beers are a little hit or miss for me but the brew master was nice enough to let us try some beers to make a good choice for our pallets. Very knowledgeable fella behind the counter and friendly!

I have gone back and forth on how to rate this one. Since this is a brewery I will start by rating the beer. I had a barrel aged old sleepyhead and it was very good. A lot of places don't know how to make a barrel aged beer but that isn't the case here. Not only can they make a good barrel aged beer, they had a few on their draft list. As far as the brewery goes I really wasn't a fan. When traveling I like to stop in to the local breweries and try a few different beers and this brewery does not do flights. The brewery itself was ok but it really isn't a place I would revisit. I know a lot of people like the eclectic style but it isn't for me. There were a lot of people setting up tables out front so I think if I would have stopped in about an hour later it might have been nice to walk around and see what was being sold out there. Looked like King Cakes and various trinkets. I would rate this between a 3-4 but since the beer was good I will bump it up to a 4.

If you like eclectic bars and good beer then this is your place Met the owner loved the vibe Only reason I didn't get it 5 stars is because I prefer more organized vibe with comfy chairs We had a coconut ipa and a Belgium wit! Yum!

What a cute brewery! My friend n her hubby invited me here for some Sunday Funday shenanigans. It felt like I was hanging out in someone's backyard which was a nice feel. The inside decor is fun, and I liked that the bathroom sink was outside the toilet area..don't see this too often. The beer was really good as well. Staff was friendly and helped me pick a beer suited to my taste. I didn't think the crawfish was too great. Being raised her, I may be a harsh critic when it comes to a good crawfish boil. I don't think there was any other food options so keep that in mind if you get beer wasted and need a bite. There is only street parking. Overall a good hang

I used to hang out here pretty regularly when I lived in the area. Always had a good time, the beers on tap are good, and the courtyard has cool vibes. I was back in the area bar hopping and decided to add it to my destinations since it had been a few years. I was confused because it didn't look like I remembered. Turns out they moved like a block from their old location. New (to me), but still has the same cool vibes and I'm happy to report the beers are still very good. Definitely need to make my way back here and not take several years to do it.

Jorja L.

Great spot to hang with friends for a drink or two. Plenty of seating both outside and inside, with a great tap list of many beer varieties. The staff is friendly and helpful in suggesting beer styles to try. Easy walking distance from the Garden District!

Great beer garden. All the beers are fresh and excellently made. The brewer likes to flex for beer nerds. You'll enjoy excellent drafts across an insane spectrum of styles.

We visited Courtyard while exploring the area on our recent visit to New Orleans. It's a pretty cool place with plenty of outdoor seating. I tried their standard wheat, and it was very good. It had lots of flavor while still feeling light. The guy behind the bar serving drinks was really helpful and patient with everyone in line, which makes for a good experience when trying a new brewery and beers. I highly recommend for the beer, vibe, and people.

So I've been to Nola a few times and I can't believe this was my first trip to this gem. From ambiance to beer, this is the perfect oasis away from the bourbon street craziness to relax and have a great quality beverage. It's a bit off the beaten path, we walked there. We obviously survived but I don't recommend walking at night around there. And generally groups are always better than solo. The only way I can describe it is think small school recess play area. Add some outdoor Christmas lights, giant spools for what probably was electrical line, a bunch of random chairs from elementary school and you end up with awesomeness. If that's not enough to get you excited, the beer is great. I'm a dark fan and I enjoyed everything I had that night. I will definitely be back and I recommend to anyone to give this place a try.

Searched for a local spot to try some craft beer. This was our winner. Though they said they weren't fully re-opened, just a soft open, we were welcomed in & served a couple of cold drinks. From there, we were directed outside for a pop up food of tacos fresh from the grill. Mmmmm Prices were good, beer hit the spot & who doesn't want tacos??

I'm not sure about parking as I walked to the brewery on my recent visit. This brewery has a great feel that hearkens back to a cozy neighborhood pub - eclectic seating divided between a couple of rooms with a small bar and a simple setup including around 9-10 taps. I felt right at home. Flights included four 5 ounce pours for $19. Food is mostly supplied by Shift Kitchen but you're basically invited to bring in anything you want. I tried the following: * 90s Women's Power Ballads - IPA - New England / Hazy 6.6% ABV - Pretty decent hazy NEIPA, Guiyang body with notes of citrus, finishes hoppy and a touch floral. 4/5 * Tenant - Bitter/Best 4.1% ABV - Very nice sweet malty bitter, notes of toasted bread, slightly toasted peanut, finishes appropriately dry and somewhat mildly bitter. 4/5 * Mr. Words Is A Monster - Pilsner/Other 5.5% - Interesting XPA, crisp body, hint of orange peel finishing hoppy, hint of pine and black pepper. 4/5 * I Am A Donut - Sour - Berliner Weisse 4.2% - Light bodied sour, fruity body with notes of sweet mango. 4/5 * Notice Me Senpai - Porter - Imperial / Double 8.1% - Tasty porter with notes of dark chocolate, English toffee and roasty coffee, almost creamy body finishing dry. 4/5 In general all the beer I indulged in were good, I think this is probably the best brewery I tried in my recent trip to New Orleans. The guy behind the counter was super friendly and knowledgeable, able to answer all my questions. I could tell this was a local spot - I engage in conversation with a few of the patrons and they mostly lived nearby. This is a top-notch hangout with a great local vibe.

This brewery is right on Decatur with a couple of tables in front good for watching the traffic coming through. There's also a patio in the back with plenty more seating options. I sat inside where there was plenty of space. There were a good selection of beers on the menu. And the options differed from other breweries with units of Liters. I, of course, had to have an IPA and I got in as a 0.5L (closest to a pint). The flavor was good with a good hoppy taste to it. This is a great place to chill with friends and enjoy some nice beers. There's also a menu but it's only available on certain days of the week. Service: Order at the counter Wifi: Yes Parking: Street Parking (both metered and non metered available) Seating: Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating

For now, I'll just settle with a visit anytime I'm around the Irish Channel. The brewery is a wide-open warehouse that's set up in a way to accommodate both patrons and brewing operations. They have a great selection of merch, as well as games and events throughout the year. I wish I had thought to ask for a tour on this last trip just to get a closer look, but I can save that for another time. I truly appreciate the wide variety of beers that Urban South has on tap. You can take any kind of beer drinker to their taproom and everyone will be able to find something that they'll enjoy. Sours are my first choice beer-wise and that Lime Cucumber Gose or the Rocket Pop are always winners. On top of beer, they also brew hard seltzers, non-alcoholic versions of their core beers, a line of THC seltzers, as well as create hard iced tea and house seltzer cocktails. I'm so happy to have made it over to the taproom for Mardi Gras this year to grab a 4-pk of Carnival Time (the sour series made with Dong Phoung king cake). There are four different flavors - traditional, almond, coconut, and strawberry - of which I am highly anticipating on drinking.

There appears to be street parking as well as some available lots nearby. Walking up from the water the first thing you see is this gigantic New Orleans mural and it's indicative of the brewery inside the same building - huge warehouse, it even has camper parked inside with a bar that extends much of the back wall. There are picnic tables so plenty of seating. I was there an early Monday afternoon so it wasn't busy at all, but I could imagine it being filled with lines to satisfy throngs of partygoers. There are five vertically placed flat-panel monitors with a variety of drink-menu options. I chose to get a flight of beers I hadn't had previously which ended up being 4 varietals of their King Cake Ale: * Cake Ale - Pale Ale - Other 6% - Creamy pale, almost registers as a fruited sour, sweet body with notes of almond, amaretto, cinnamon and vanilla. 4/5 * Coconut King Cake Ale - Pale Ale - Other 6% - Milky coconut in this almost tart King Cale ale, getting notes of both raw and toasted coconut, almond, amaretto, sweet vanilla and cinnamon. 4.3/5 * Almond Crème Strawberry King Cake Ale - Pale Ale - Other 6% - Creamy body with distinct almond note followed by vanilla and cinnamon. 4.2/5 * Strawberry King Cake Ale - Pale Ale - Other 6% - Fruity tart strawberry in this pale ale, finishes fruity and sweet, a touch dry. 4.1/5 Overall I enjoyed the beers I had - all very drinkable. The cinnamon was a bit much all at once, these are almost dessert beers and better taken in small amounts after you've slammed a few of their staple beers, in my opinion, but I'm still very glad I had them. The staff and service was good with an efficient demeanor - I think if they were slightly friendlier I might have stuck around and tried more of what they offered but as my second brewery (and plans for more exploration in the evening) I decided to keep things neat with this single flight. Afterwards I walked back up to St Charles and took a short nap and got cleaned up for evening shenanigans.
