Brewery Saint X shares a kitchen with Devil Moon BBQ. They used to have separate menus, but since Super Bowl 2025, they've merged the menus. It appears some of the items Brewery used to sell aren't available anymore. The food was delicious, but the burger at $18 was on the pricey side, especially considering the size. I came here for a late lunch around 2pm on a Friday. I kept hearing how great the BBQ was so I was excited to try a sample of the different meats. I get there and was greeted by the sweetest person. She explained the set up. It is a bit confusing for a first timer or maybe it was just me, but one side was more the lunch side with only BBQ and the other side was more the full menu (more than just BBQ) and brewery side. As I mentioned we got there kind of in that in between lunch and dinner, so we went on the lunch side. They were closing within the hour and unfortuntley, they were out of most things. I was thinking if I waited a little longer for dinner service on the brewery side, I would get more options for the BBQ, but apparently when the BBQ runs out, it runs out and there is none on the other side. It just has, other full menu items, like I mentioned. Anyway, so they did have BBQ pulled pork left. I ordered that and a side of the pimento cheese grits. Eveerything was good. I wasn't blown away or anything. I also enjoyed the house BBQ sauce, not too thick or sweet. Again, I wish all the food hand't run out so I could have tried more. I did enjoy the space. Definitely not enough info out about this place. On Sunday's for Saints game they open at (9am). Its a combo of Saintx the brewery and Devil Moon bbq. The cool thing is the bbq menu an option as well as the brewery breakfast/brunch/Lunch menu. Full bar cocktails and beer options. The drinks are very good and fruity ones and even a good old fashion. Tonight was my first time coming in since Brewery Saint X opened. My friend and I came through of course since most places in the area are closed during this time. They have a late night happy hour 9:00 P.M.-11:00 P.M. The music is fire (Common & Outkast). The only downfall is happy hour menu only had one food item (dog of the day). The flavoring with the holy Trinity he was really good. However, it was a little tough to my liking because of the casing of the sausage. Once they smoke it (gets a little tougher). To be honest. The last time I came, I said I would never get the wings again. They were nice enough to give us complementary wings (not expecting that). This brewery was recommended by the nail shop around the corner. Cute vibe/ environment. Great staff. They were closed for a private event but accommodated us as soon as they flipped the place and were open. I'm not a huge beer drinker. But I tried to that I actually liked- Cypress and I believe charm school. Ordered green tomatoes. That were okay. You get a lot but I wish they would have come w/romoulade sauce. Tomatoes tasted as if they werent in season or weren't ripe enough. Beef fat fries and sauce were a delicious little bite. Feedback on other things ordered from the group. We were dropping our daughter off via Uber to the Superdome for the Taylor Swift concert. I noticed this place and said we can walk here in which we did. It was a fabulous find. We've been to distilleries and a few wineries on this trip, but no breweries--until we were Ubering to drop our daughter off for the Taylor Swift concert. I noticed a brewery just a block away from the Superdome, which made for a nice change of pace. I sampled a few beers: Struttin*, a Helles Lager at 5% ABV, brewed with Bavarian malted barley and lightly hopped with locally sourced Hersbrucker; Working Tile*, a West Coast IPA at 7% ABV, hopped with Citra and Centennial, and dry-hopped with Simcoe and Cascade; Electric Mayhem*, a Hazy IPA at 7% ABV, brewed with Citra hops and dry-hopped with Rieske; and finally, the cask ale While We're Young*, an English Ale served at room temperature, brewed with Maris Otter Malt and East Kent hops, as it should be. I really enjoyed this place. The thing I liked most was the availability of cask beers. It's so hard to find those and I really appreciate that. Kind of brings Old World London into New World Orleans. 15 different homemade beers to fit anyone's tastes. The only problem was the price of the food. Really great food and drinks. Close enough to the sports venues for pre and post game drinks, and they hand out free beers whenever LSU scores a touchdown. This is definitely my new spot to watch the games. They've got a couple of really good beers on tap and a few frozen drinks to mix it up. The staff is super attentive and just fun to be around; top that off with the good food and cool crowd and you've got yourself a new local drinking spot. Just what I needed to wrap up a 6 day visit to NOLA. The beer was local and delicious! I tried both the Folklore (I am here for Taylor Swift so it's a must) and the Pavilion. The Pavilion is by far my fav... so smooth! The Hot Green Tomatoes and Boudin Balls hit the spot for final Cajun fare. The HGT were sliced then and fried to perfection with Cajun seasoning on top. I found this spot to kill some time while meeting a friend in New Orleans. The Lyft driver and I were a bit confused where it exactly was on the map. Eventually, we found it, because I saw the giant X sign. I arrived at dinner time, but I only wanted a drink or two. I did browse the food menu which isn't super vegetarian friendly but looked delicious. The beer menu was impressive given the type of restaurant this appeared to be (to me anyway). I expected more cocktails and wine focused (which it was), but I was happy to see a number of local beers and a variety of styles. The service was very prompt and friendly. I was given a glass of water quickly and allowed time to peruse the menu. I ordered a west coast IPA and another west coast IPA but a double IPA this time. Why not! The space itself was bright, open with plenty of seating for groups or couples. I sat at the bar and enjoyed people watching a bit while reading my book. Great spot for drinks and dinner! We stumbled upon this place while visiting New Orleans. We didn't have (or need) a reservation for a Thursday night, but they did let us know we'd need to leave within two hours because they were closing for a private party -- we appreciated the heads up. I sampled a few of their beers and they were fine -- not the best, but very solid. Their food is amazing -- I enjoyed my beet salad, my husband loved his fried chicken salad and we devoured the duck fat fries we shared. I hosted a private event at Saint X Brewery for a company dinner during a conference at the Hyatt Regency across the street so it was a very convenient location. They gave us use of a whole room with windows and our own bartender and server. The food was delicious and the cocktails were fun and unique. I think due to the size of our party (40) it would have been better having two servers as she was a bit flustered. I would recommend going to Saint X before a line starts to form around the block. We had been meaning to try this place since they opened (been meaning to try a lot of places tbh) and we finally got a day off together to go enjoy it. Holy cow. The decor is wonderfully bright and fresh with big windows to light the light in and row of plants adjacent to the bar. A small but well curated menu obviously plays to the restaurant's strengths and while acknowledging there's top notch bbq next door, Saint x definitely has its own identity. We got the pimento cheese first, with deep fried saltines that mimicked the lightness of a wonton cracker. Fucking brilliant, whoever came up with that cracker compliment is a damn genius. The cracklings and fried green tomatoes came next. Best cracklings I've ever had. Period. I think the pork belly was specifically cut for cracklings, instead of the general after thought pieces that come from "what to do with the leftover skin from pork belly, I guess we can make crackling". The Steens mustard was rich without being too sweet and the acid levels were perfect. Ok fried green tomato, I'm not a fried green tomato guy but these were more like a fried pickle. I hate FGTs because of the big chunk 4 slices of a tomato and half the breading comes off in one bite everyone seems to serve these days. But these were paper thin with an all encompassing breading you could bite right into and not worry about sacrificing flavor for structural integrity. I might actually like FGT again. Main course, ribs and Beef cheeks. The ribs were fall off the bone tender. I mean seriously I picked one up and the bone came right out. The soy based marinade was spot on with crunchy green onions and some sort of crispy peanut on top? Or maybe it was crackling crumbs? Not sure but it was the perfect texture compliment to the super soft and tender rib meat. Beef cheeks also could probably be used as substitute for a pillow. They will put you to sleep. It was that good. We didn't even use knives to eat either of these dishes. Overall an absolutely incredible job is being done here and I cannot wait to go back. We didn't get a chance to try any of the cocktails because we were busy exploring the beer menu, I mean thermo specific taps so that your lager/stout/wheat is the ideal temperature when poured is not something you can expierence in most places. Decided to check this place out before a Pels game and it's safe to say this will be our new go to spot!! While they are a place that is a brewery it feels very classy and timeless. Like somewhere you could still go on a date. Our hostess sat us in the booths the back which felt exclusive. The decor is adorned with leather, gold and some velvet! I love the aesthetic!!! People were dressed casual, business casual and business attire, and no one was out of place. Now on to the food and drinks. For their beers you can get a 4oz pour or a full pour. We decide to do some 4oz pours to get familiar with their beers. I got two sours the live wire and kazoo. Two fruited sour beers that were not two sweet! They were perfect. My husband opted for the Moxie and skyline views. A stout and a hazy he also enjoyed them both. For food we decided to get a couple what we thought were small plates but were GREAT portions. We got the lemon pepper wings, beef fat fries and the spare ribs. Starting with the fries -- amazing, honestly one of the best fries I have ever had. It reminds me of a rally's fry but 900x better. I only want my fries fried in beef fat moving forward. The comeback sauce is also amazing great pairing. The wings are smoked and crispy and delicious. One of our servers told us you can also get the BBQ with some of the hot dust the use for their spicy chicken sandwich and we can't wait to come back to try it!! They also told us about $12 for 12 wings and a $12 pitcher on Monday nights for football!!! Lastly the spare ribs. So they came out and they were the only thing that wasn't piping hot--in fact they were cold. However they were still amazing!!! The bbq sauce/glaze on them is tangy and the ribs melt off the bone.
