We were attending a wedding and this was one of the recommended hotels. We reserved rooms but it was actually cheaper if I booked it myself which didn't make sense. Showed up to check in at 2:40 and was told we don't have a room ready for you. Umm ok . Let me see what I can do the lady says then gives us a Handicap room on the first floor. I am not disabled and that would be taking it from someone that needs it I don't understand this! No cleaning services ( stayed 3 days 2 nights) which is fine but having to track someone down for toilet paper is ridiculous. Went to the Bistro for a cocktail they had a expresso martini which I ordered a chocolate martini well they didn't have the ingredients to make even that the only thing he could make was a Old fashion which wasn't even in the menu. Really ??? Would have loved to go swimming but the pool was absolutely disgusting dirty, no towels. Very Disappointing stay with Marriott Also NO SAFE in the room ! read more

We had a great stay at the courtyard marriot fishkill. The rooms look like the pictures posted. Our flight was delayed and we had to book another night, Liz was extremely helpful and friendly accommodating us. I did notice that when we were on the 2nd floor the rooms look like the pictures posted but are a little outdated, where the room we got on the 3rd floor, had a newly updated bathroom/ shower. 2 detractors: 1. No breakfast included, they have a restaurant in the lobby, but no room service or menu that's posted elsewhere other than the lobby. When we went to order they were out of many items and have odd hours of operation. So we had to factor many meals out during our stay. 2. Skunks! There are multiple skunks all over the property, we had to dodge multiple in the parking lot and they can be seen from the courtyard, and they were at the entrance! If you are not looking carefully, you could run into one! read more

Just stayed here for 2 nights while attending a family members wedding. Place was clean and had some nice amenities. Indoor pool was a hit with the kids and the onsite bistro was convenient this morning for breakfast. Some opportunities would be the lack of coffee available first thing in the morning. We woke up to get ready for the wedding early Saturday and the bistro didn't open until 7 (we discovered this at 6am) not the end of the world, but when I asked about coffee, the receptionist just simply said "we're working on that" with no real indication as to when or if it would be available any time soon. The location of the hotel was helpful in that it is surrounded by plenty of restaurants and fast food options, so even if the hotels not up and running with breakfast, it's not a far walk to the next closest option. We stayed here for the weekend to attend a family wedding. Everyone, front desk, staff and service folks all made our stay very enjoyable. Our room was clean, spacious, and met our needs. It includes: coffee maker, refrigerator, iron, and board. The bed was comfortable and was supplied with 4 pillows. We need space on both sides of the bed for our CPAP machines. There were nightstands on both sides, which is what we needed. The only negative was the ice machine was missing, evidently broken from the first floor. We were able to get ice from the front desk, but that was quit a hike from our room. Plenty of parking around the hotel. Be confident with reserving rooms here. You will not be disappointed. read more

Loved this place. Truly one of the better Marriott properties. Check in was swift & simple. Decor of the room was in clean shape, and LOVED the fact that their bathroom amenities included Paul Mitchell products in the shower. Water pressure was a little strong & the water didn't get too hot, but that's ok. Beds were soft & comfortable. When you come into the room for the first time, the television is playing soft music & displays a welcome greeting you'd expect to hear at a spa. Loved that. The grab & go breakfast options during the pandemic included some surprisingly uplifting choices, including pre wrapped sandwiches that only required a few seconds of microwave time (instead of pure Continental offerings.) Muffins were sinfully rich and delicious! Even the lobby decor was nicely decorated for Christmas. Guest checkout arrived in my inbox when I woke up. I recommend getting a higher floor. Clean. Pretty quiet (unless you're on the highway side). But a very friendly crew running the place. Stephanie at the coffee shop (and her colleagues) were lively, kind, and helpful. Plus, they make good coffee. Sofia at the front desk was one of those people who genuinely wants to help and make your journey easier, even though they're handling a lot at once. And in the morning Joe (the GM) was an impressive one man show manning the front desk, courteously checking people out (extremely cordial and solutions-driven) and going above and beyond. One guest in front of me raised an issue... Joe handled it... and the woman walked away flabbergasted (at his quick and generous response) and thanking him. Another guest asked if there was coffee, Joe stepped away, and materialized with a piping hot coffee for her, delivering it with a smile. Remarkable. read more

If I had to stay longer, would've had an issue. For my short two nights I'll say it was nice. The staff was super friendly and the lobby was excellent. The WiFi was spotty and for a fee you could upgrade the speed. Now days HighSpeed WiFi should be free at every hotel. They did have a TV you could connect your streaming service to however, you couldn't really because the spotty WiFi. The layout of the room was weird. In stead of a closet, there was a wardrobe in the middle of the hall that also blocked the view of the tv from the bed. The sofa bed took up a lot of space in the room and had a bunch of stains. The king bed seemed pretty clean and comfy. There was fridge, microwave and coffee maker which was a plus. They provided a Dove soap bar.. another plus for me. :) I don't know but it seemed to get extremely hot at night and even after turning the temperature to 68. My room was close to one of the main doors and near the courtyard which made it convenient but, a little noisy because of the people traffic. During my stay the liquor license had just expired so, I was unable to partake in libations while there but they have a bar and May Starbucks drinks. They have EV charging across the parking lot for those folks that have EV's No issues with parking in the lot. Super easy check in and checkout. read more

Only cons were the absence of an open coffee and tea bar and that the suite faced the freeway so there is road noise. I'd definitely ask for a room on the other side next time. I came here with 10 colleagues a few months ago, and we all stayed for 2 nights for a business meeting. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay, with the rooms being comfortable and staff being kind and pleasant. However, I am giving 3-stars, because one staff member (she was the lone Asian we saw working at the front desk; apologies, as I cannot recall her name) was incredibly rude and had horrible customer service skills. We bought a bunch of the beer from the fridge out front, and I very clearly stated that it should be placed on the meeting room bill. However, I came back out a few minutes later to grab two more drinks, when I asked that the charge to the meeting room be cancelled and put under my personal hotel room instead. The lady kept saying she understood and then kept mentioning two drinks, to which I repeated myself four more times, very nicely and patiently, that I didn't understand what she was saying (she simply was not making any sense and did not attempt to clarify), and she continued to say she understood and had fixed the charge. Again, I just wanted the original charge cancelled from the meeting room and all drinks placed on my personal bill. Easy enough, yes? I thought so, and she agreed every single time. Fast forward to my manager asking that she fixed the charges, and she said she put all but two on the meeting room, which was not at all what I asked and what she said over and over that she understood and did. No problem. I simply told him what I asked and that I thought it was taken care of, which she could hear. Apparently she did not like my saying that, and she got very rude and snarky to me in front of my 9 colleagues, over which my manager got pretty annoyed with her since it was not warranted nor necessary. Instead of simply rectifying the situation, she preferred to point blame at me to say that's not what I told her and it was MY fault. Hey, I would take the blame if it WAS my fault, believe me. My manager nicely but firmly stated that her attitude was not what we would expect from someone in customer service and it wasn't a big deal to have changed, which she agreed. As mentioned, overall, it was a great stay, but it's amazing how ONE poor employee can put a bad taste in ten people's mouths by their rude and immature behavior. Not who I'd want representing my business, and I have 9 witnesses to it who expressed the same sentiments. Button up the bad egg in an establishment like this and you'd have a 5-star rating. read more

When booking the Courtyard I was a bit weary as most of the online photos were dated and there was a lack of clear information regarding innovations. It all worked out! Check-in was smooth, and our 2 queen room was renovated, spacious and clean. We were in town for a wedding so we didn't get a chance to use any of the hotel's facilities. I booked a suite and the room was so small. It basically fit two beds that were aligned across from each other rather than next to each other. It was not a good choice for a place to get ready. I also tried to add rooms to my hotel block and the sales staff just ignored my multiple e-mails. The one e-mail that they did respond to, they did not answer my request--they could have just told me it was not possible. I called them and the front desk offered to let me leave them a voicemail and it was never returned. I called/e-mailed for 5 business days straight. They only responded to me after I e-mailed them information about my shuttle, but never displayed any information at the front desk, noting that it was the bus driver's responsibility. The Hilton next door put up a nice sign for us so that guests knew when to catch the shuttle. I would not recommend this hotel for a general stay or for a hotel block. read more

Do not stay here if you enjoy sleeping. The walls are so thin, I was up all night with neighbor's coughing fit. Moved rooms. Tonight it is new neighbor who likes to sleep with TV on blast. How can walls be that thin? Being that I'm a top-tier Marriott member that's never had a problem at any other property, I would say this is a structural issue with their building. Drive an extra 20 to the Courtyard Poughkeepsie where you can actually sleep. I really wish I had. read more

I am a Marriott Gal for life so will always try to stay at a Marriott during my travels for business or pleasure. I've stayed at other properties in the Fishkill area but this is the first time at the Courtyard. It's an older property which is why I gave it a 4, plus I wasn't able to buy some wine from the Market after 10:00 because of some hotel manager policy. Otherwise the place was clean, the staff was very friendly, the Courtyard was beautiful to sit out and have coffee this morning and the lobby was nice to work in while waiting for a co-worker. read more

This is just what I like! Clean, new, comfortable and friendly! OK, I'm from California, so the city's name? It's a little funny to me. However, this is a really nice town along a main highway semi-close to West Point. During certain times of the year, you can't get a room near West Point, so consider this lovely and reasonably priced venue. The complimentary breakfast is great each morning and other items are available. They have a small snack store and some travel items which you may have forgotten to pack. Plenty of safe parking and large rooms with comfortable beds. What's not to love? read more

Service was excellent, a young guy behind counter knew the area very well and he was very attentive. I lost my room key, called in from upstairs, by the time I got to the front it was waiting for me ready to go. Building is very new, lot to offer. Room size however is small scale (this is probably new standard size for newer courtyard) dining area is not as big as other courtyard, eggs are made in kitchen not at front. Has indoor pool, gym, and small snack kiosk. Originally planning to stay at Residence Inn across the street, but it was so outdated and it was too small, glad I moved my reservation. read more

We evacuated coastal CT during a hurricane and started driving West. We couldn't find a room anywhere, and finally called and secured a room at the Courtyard -- thank goodness! When we arrived, tired and strung-out, the front desk staff greeted us warmly and quickly got us into our room. The room was spotless and well appointed. There were 2 wedding parties here, but we didn't hear a peep. The next morning at the grab-and-go the breakfast crew went out of their way to be helpful and to make sure we had everything we needed and wanted. The manager, Jared, made it possible for us to transfer to a suite and was flexible and helpful about our departure date. All of the staff wore masks and the elevators were cleaned constantly, helping us to feel safe in the Covid era. We feel so fortunate to have found this property during a challenging time. read more

I figured I'd give this place a review as there's hardly any reviews. The hotel is extremely clean and well maintained. One thing I will say is that there's no continental breakfast but there is a bistro. A decent breakfast will cost you about $10 which explains why you can get rooms at a reasonable rate. All the staff is nice and there's a movie theatre nearby. Besides that, there isn't much to do in Fishkill. Actually, there's no reason to be in Fishkill unless you're visiting the branch office of Jehovah's Witnesses in Wallkill or Patterson and need a place to stay. read more

Excellent customer service at the Courtyard Marriott. Canceled reservations at the Hyatt right next door because they were not accommodating an early check in. Walked right over to the Marriott, with no reservation, got the room I wanted and was able to check in immediately as well. I was very surprised how extremely accommodating the staff was, shout out to Alyssa at the front desk who made our check in as easy as can be. The room was clean and up to date. Flat screen TVs and the decor didn't make you feel like you were stuck in a scene from Psycho. There was even a spacious patio right off the room as well, which was a nice surprise. The blinds were heavy duty and blocked out the sun well, which was awesome because sunlight always wakes me up way earlier than I'd prefer to be awake. If I was ever in the area again I would absolutely stay here again. read more

This is an okay Courtyard. Free internet, like all Courtyards, non-smoking, like all Marriott properties (hmm, non-smoking, Book of Mormon in the bedside table...do I sense some sort of LDS thing working here?). There was no mini-fridge in mine, although there was a big cabinet that was mini-fridge sized and a huge set of scratch marks that could've easily been made by a mini-fridge being dragged out of said cabinet. There was certainly no microwave either, if you're the type to microwave food in your room (c'mon, get a life). Furniture was nice and fairly new, but the AC/Heat unit was total "old school" twist the two knobs type that I remember being in "Motor Lodges" we stayed in on the way to Vegas when I was a kid (well, pretty close to that). No big flat-screen TV like a lot of Courtyards nowadays. read more

Came here for 4 nights on a business trip/training that was being help here in the meeting room of the hotel. Price:150 per night. King size bed. The good: very friendly staff. Room was really clean. If you like a cold room then their powerful AC units can make it cold enough where you can hang meat in the rooms. Showers were nice and hot. Never ran out of hot water. Wifi was free (they offer high speed for 4.99 a day). The free wifi was fast enough for me to skype, youtube, and do whatever else I wanted, so I would skip on the paid wifi if I was you. Rooms were plenty big, sheets cleaned everyday along with fresh towels. Flat screen TV with all modern tv channels, including free HBO. Nice jacuzzi and pool! Lots of places to eat around here. They have a Starbucks in the main area of the hotel, as well as computers and huge flat screen TVs that get alot more channels. If you love pizza head down to the "pizza shop". However stay away from charlie browns steak house (read my review at their yelp page if you want more info on it). The bad: nothing really bad about the hotel. The only thing I think they can improve on is putting actual trash liners in the trash cans in the rooms. That is all. Everything else is perfect. Overall thought: 10/10 would come and stay again. read more

What a lovely experience to stay here. My family (along with many others) stayed here because we were without electricity for 4 days. With a fully booked hotel for 2/3 nights, the staff was stellar and fast too-- all but Guadalupe. More about that at the end. Check in was a breeze and they let us check in early. The room was small, but clean with everything we needed. I wish the refrigerators were bigger, but they're the same at almost every Marriott we stay at. The pool was acceptable, especially considering there were so many people using it. Though I'm pretty sure it needed a good clean. The bistro staff went above and beyond for every meal there. My kids have food allergies, and they were so understanding. Thank you Lastly, I have to highlight one poor experience I had. On our second day, I had to run home to get more supplies because we had not expected to stay more than 1 day. Hubby took the kids to the pool and housekeeping came while we were both away. Obviously the room was not tidy as I would leave it and the bed couldn't be made. (Though the $5 on the night stand was gone). I quickly put things away and I went to the hallway, where Guadalupe was working on the room next door and kindly asked her if she could make the bed when she had a minute. She told me no, that she had other rooms to clean. I did my best to make the bed--I HATE the hotel layer blanket instead of a duvet crap. So here I am laying awake at 5:45am in a terribly made bed wondering if the comforter keeping me warm is uncovered from a sheet-- because that definitely isn't washed between guests and gross. THANKS GUADALUPE for being the only poor experience at this hotel. (The reason I had to dock a star). I am not above making the bed, if I could have done it properly--I wouldn't have asked. read more

We recently stayed with this hotel for a wedding. The rate was reasonable and right next to the wedding venue. Our room had a patio door to lead to the 'courtyard' and we were right across from the indoor pool. I wish we had used the pool but not this time. Very clean room, hotel lobby. The lobby had a nice little breakfast we ate 1 morning. The staff is friendly and accomidating. Lobby very comfortable when I wanted to just sit, relax and enjoy a good book. 2 computers to use for looking up yelp reviews on a breakfast place in town. The staff helped me find a nice place for dinner 1 night. I wish I had taken down the gentleman's name, so nice and friendly, as all the staff we encountered. Good location not far from restaurants, and a short drive to downtown/waterfront. read more

I stayed here for 9 days a few weeks back. It was clean, the staff was nice. They have a nice assortment of 'to go' grocery type food and a breakfast restaurant. Though I have a few complaints: #1 They don't give you lotion in the Bathroom, that's weird you always need lotion why would someone get rid of that but include a facial soap bar? #2 They don't have flatscreen tvs. Call me spoiled, but I don't even know where they got these CRT tube tvs and they are annoying to watch because they cut off the image in sports games, and the stock tickers. Not a huge fan at all, I'm suprised they are allowed to keep their Marriott Franchise Tag. read more

This yelp review went from one star to three star after I got a hold of the manager on duty (Jose). Let me start from the beginning. I reserved the room on-line several months ago for a wedding we were attending. I used my credit card to book it and when we arrived this past weekend to check in, my fiance used his card for incidentals. Unfortunately, both of our credit cards were charged for the incidental holds. When I discovered this the morning after our stay, I went to the front desk to ask them to lift my hold bc they already placed a hold on my fiance's card. The lady at the front desk told me she couldn't do anything about it and that I'd have to wait until Monday to speak with the manager. I called early on Monday and spoke with Jose, who was professional and nice. He asked me for my card info and told me he'd contact my bank to remove the hold. He did exactly as he said he would and the hold was removed by 10:00 a.m. on Monday. I almost gave this place a one star review for the customer service I received (or lack there of) by the front desk but the manager was able to turn it around. More importantly, the hotel overall was clean and we were satisfied with our room and the price we were able to reserve the room for. read more

This is a small Courtyard Marriott (in other words it's not a gigantic 15+ story building, in the middle of some metropolis city); but don't let that deter you! If you're looking at this hotel, you already knew it's not in the middle of Times Square or something like that...it's Fishkill!! But when you walk into the lobby, very modern, VERY CLEAN, genuinely caring staff, are waiting to assist you in every way!! The rooms, are good sized, VERY CLEAN...(and trust me I LOOK EVERYWHERE!!!!) Some people don't care about the things they can't readily see...but to ME...if I look somewhere and I see something nasty...I IMMEDIATELY wonder what/where else are they lax in their services!?!?!?! But NOT THIS hotel!!! The bed were VERY comfortable, and relaxing to stay in! I had a small billing issue, that Jose, (assistant manager), was IMMEDATELY on the problem with a solution, BEFORE the end of the conversation. Then if that wasn't enough, he offered to call me later, to check on my satisfaction!!! This place is all about customer service!! We booked this hotel a few weeks before traveling. It was for business and we knew we needed a good, clean hotel for our stay. The location is superb! Walmart and many other stores, restaurants, gasoline within walking distance. The Red Line diner is a must but be prepared to eat a lot of delicious food! Check in was quick and easy. Royal, the check in clerk, was friendly and accommodating. He allowed us to park a 16 ft moving truck in the parking lot and we were hauling a car. The hotel was very clean and well kept! The bed was soft and comfortable with lots of pillows. We were exhausted the first night and when we woke up in the morning I needed water. I called the front desk and they brought it right to me!!! Who does that!!!!?!!!! They do!!! That's who! The food in the Bistro was good even though it was pre made. We only had breakfast. The Starbucks was a nice touch. The only things I would mention is that the towels could have been softer and there was only one mirror in the room and it was on the bathroom door. We will be staying here again when we go back next month! read more

Update* Manager finally called me back 3 hours later to notify me he would follow-up with bank. Six hours later and I still have the hold applied, no receipt, and no follow-up. Just a $870 hold on my account for no apparent reason. Classy. I travel for work. I stay at a lot of hotels. I am a Marriott Awards Member. I booked a week on my credit card and was charged accordingly at the end of my stay. I booked a 2nd week using the same credit card and the entire total of $870 was put on hold. I contacted the manager Joe and requested my receipt since I was already being charged and he couldnt provide me one. First he gave me a song and dance about a hold for incidentals-$870 worth? Lol...then he tried with banks and their differing policies, but from the other reviews this happens too often at this hotel to blame banks. The hotel IS applying the hold. Joe told me to call the following day if the hold was still there. It was. I called him twice, left detailed voice messages, and no response. Stay at the Hilton or Holiday Inn and save yourself the headache and run around. read more
