I worked in a major midtown hotel in New York City and stayed at hotels all over the world. I was impressed with this venue. Plenty of free parking and an inviting lobby. The front desk staff is very professional and welcoming to all. Went there for the AAA driver's course, being held in one of the meeting rooms off the main lobby. It's the small details; the HVAC was well modulate. It never got too cold or hot and stuffy. The carpet was clean and maintained, ceiling tiles clean. There is an impressive guest Breakfast buffet. Beyond the cold dry cereals and yogurts found at some motels. Waffles you prepare, scrambled eggs, pastries, to name a few. There is no onsite restaurant, but there are plenty of restaurants and fast food places nearby. There's a small store with snacks and beverages next to reception. There was a wedding going on, I imagine in a ballroom somewhere in the motel. Some of the amenities are: a putting green near the entrance, well appointed fitness center, indoor pool, business center, free WiFi, an area with children's activities, covered and open air seating area. Hotel itself is ok, staff is nice and helpful. The problem with this location, the internet might be the worst I have ever seen. On peak hours, the wifi will drop connection every few minutes for about 2 minutes at a time, sometimes longer, just to have it happen again a few minutes later. It's not much better during off-peak hours, either. If you need a stable wifi connection for your stay, I recommend staying elsewhere. They REALLY need to invest into their internet service. read more

Clean rooms but small. This Residence Inn is located in the back of a the main road, secluded and quiet is the benefit I suppose. More than enough parking for all. It is oddly connected to a Springhill Suites and if you parked and walked into a side entrance might get slightly disoriented. The room numbers for the Springhill start in the thousands while the Residence is in the hundreds. The kitchens are stocked with ample prep supplies and Keurig cups. It took longer to hook my Nintendo Wii to the TV in the room, that was annoying, but otherwise the room was good. I did ask for extra towels and pillow before I arrived but I had to ask again upon arrival for that to be addressed. read more

This is probably one of the best inn in his town. Extremely clean room with great service. The continental breakfast was great. We enjoyed the stay so does my dog. The room rate is $126 plus taxes, surprisedly they didn't charge pet fee or pet stay fee which was great. It was a steal. Yeah, they entire stay along with 40lbs dog only costs us $126 plus taxes. P.s they have indoor swimming pool and gym room. read more

My family is spread throughout the Northeast and we all congregate here often to visit my sister-in-law and her kids. This is a newer hotel located at the rear of a corporate park with an absolutely delightful staff. Everyone from the front desk, cleaning staff, kitchen staff, etc. is extremely helpful and pleasant. The hotel is very nice, but what keeps us coming back is the staff. There is a great big central lobby area that is shared with the SpringHill Suites. There is a nice hotel bar that's open to 11pm, but often stays open longer when there are customers. The outside grilling area with the fire pit is another great feature of this hotel. All this plus a well equipped gym and well maintained pool area make this a great home away from home. We continue to come back here again and again... and will do so for years to come. read more

By far this was the WORST "hotel" experience my family and I have had. We reserved our stay through Expedia and received email confirmations not once but twice in which we were informed that our reservation with Residence Inn was confirmed and that there was no further action needed by our part. After traveling for more than 3 hours with my two year old daughter, we are informed by a very sarcastic front desk "manager" that our reservation was cancelled. We were told that the reservation was cancelled by Expedia, whom after contacting, informed us that in fact our reservation was still very much active through them and that if the hotel stated that it was cancelled it was done by them personally. When the hotel was contacted in regards to this matter and in need of an explanation the "manager" once again stated that she did not know why it was cancelled and couldn't give us an explanation. We asked to speak to her supervisor and she stated that it was too late to call her supervisor. Excuse me.... but too late?? This is a hospitality business your only job in this business is to serve, if you are unable to meet that important standard then my suggestion would be to find a different career path. Although the fact that we had no place to stay was obviously upsetting, what was more frustrating was the lack of interest and consideration for the immense inconvenience this caused us. I am not in the hospitality business but I know what the appropriate way a situation like this should've looked like... it should've sounded something like this: "We are so sorry for this unfortunate situation we understand the frustration and will do everything we can in order to try and mend the circumstances in which you are now in, please have seat in our lobby and enjoy some hot chocolate or tea while I try and find a solution, again we apologize for the trouble but rest assured I will work on a solution for you promptly". Not.... "well we don't know why it was cancelled, we can't bother our manager because it's late, we can't do anything". Maybe Marriott you should hire me to train your employees at the Fishkill location. Residence Inn inconsiderate and poorly trained staff members Lisa Valente, Christina Crespo and Lisa Brady, please reconsider the career you are in. read more

We stayed here while taking a short weekend getaway from the city. This hotel was top notch. The free breakfast the next day was terrific (waffles, eggs, bacon, home fries, yogurt, oatmeal, etc.) We left full and wanting for nothing. The indoor pool was great, we took our 10 month old in for her first swim. They were very friendly to our dog and offered her a treat. We loved how clean the rooms were and how well laid out they were. Each room comes with its own small kitchen. Would definitely recommend. read more

Very happy with my stay here. Came up for a weekend getaway from Long Island with my boyfriend and our dog and we don't want to leave tomorrow! The suite is a good size, cute living room area, kitchen and bathroom. The king sized bed is very comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating and not pushy at all. Clean and freshly updated rooms . The breakfast was typical residence inn fare ; waffles , scrambled eggs , hot &cold cereal , fruits , yogurts . I am a residence inn fan and always try to stay at one . What stood out to me about this location was the staff. They were all friendly and accommodating.
