    Elliott is perplexed but comfy.
    Janet M.

So, it does not appear to be a Marriott anymore it sorta depends where you look for it. Some places still have it listed as Marriott and that is interesting. On Moving Day we were freaking exhausted and I needed a safe place to park the kid (20yo) and the cat (6?I think?) for a couple nights while I handled all the exodus things at the house. The new place has a stinkbug issue that was being addressed. Dont ask. This came up on Expedia for $139 a night and "pet friendly" just a mile or two from the old house. Sold. Turns out " pet friendly" means dogs not cats but they made an exception for Elliott. The room was great. Big fluffy pillows and white squishy comforters on tall queen sized beds. Netflix on the tv. A fridge. A hot walk in shower for this broken old lady. I was so sore it was nice to have a shower seat. Kid was happy there from Fri night to Sunday morning and I could feel satisfied they were safe and relaxed. It worked out fine.

Nice comfy beds with a soothing Decour

Great location. Very nice staff. Clean and has a very nice lobby to do work in or read. Bests are comfortable and the room is large. Easy parking. They have a little cafe area in the lobby with good food that is not insanely over priced We had breakfast here-and I ordered the avocado toast-really yummy-but it does have a spicy kick that they should warn you about. Nice outside sitting area Decent gym Nice indoor pool Really close to pretty much anything you need. Cons The maid service is not great. They did not replenish the shower shampoo/gels even though I left a message at the front desk AND left a note in the bathroom that they were empty. Maid just makes the beds and empties trash. Does not wipe down, vacuum or sweep. Slow wifi Little store next to the front desk is insanely over priced-$4 for a Hershey bar-come on now

Bed bug found during my stay
    Marc P.

Stayed here recently and woke up in the middle of the night to find a bed bug close to me. Killed it and brought it to the front desk, and they changed me to a different room at my request. Left early in the morning and spoke to management later in the day. They were completely unaware of the problem. I was given a 20% discount eventually after the general manager was contacted. I had expected a bigger discount, but maybe this is a common problem. Nice hotel overall, I just expect more from a Marriott.

The toilet didn't flush well. So I let them know. And they gave me a plunger. I had to use the plunger for three days.

Had to say one night at the Residence Inn and it's a completely different vibe, atmosphere, without any semblance of hospitality.

If you are looking for a nice, spacious place to stay in Hillsboro, look no further than this…read moreawesome, Japanese-inspired hotel. Unlike the typically small hotel rooms in Japan, the accommodations here are wonderfully large. Each room features a walk-in shower, a separate soaking tub, a coffee maker, a small refrigerator, and a Japanese-style bidet toilet (or washlet) that will make you want to buy one for your own home. Near the ground floor elevators, you will find complimentary coffee and lemon water. From the moment you walk through the black entrance doors, the front desk staff greets you with warmth and friendliness. Around the corner you will find a self-service store that sells gifts, souvenirs, Japanese apparel, drinks, and snacks at very reasonable prices--reminiscent of actual retail rates in Japan rather than standard inflated US hotel prices. They even sell swimwear in case you forgot yours. The property features separate men's and women's indoor Onsen-style baths where swimsuits are optional (unlike in Japan, where they are strictly prohibited). Please note that guests must be at least 14 years old to enter the baths, a departure from traditional Japanese onsens which allow younger children with parents. The grounds are beautiful, boasting a lovely indoor koi pond and stunning Japanese landscaping in the backside which you can see from the restaurant. For dining, the on-site restaurant, Waterfalls, serves an excellent mix of Japanese and American cuisine, and their Sake bar offers a fantastic variety of sakes where you can purchase by the glass, flask or purchase the bottle. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend this hotel!

When I walked into the hotel and told them who I was, they greeted me like I was their long-lost friend, it was so fun! I got to meet Jennifer, Estefany, and Daniel face to face, which was the treat I was looking forward to. Then I got to meet my new friend Dominique! First of all, we have been to many hotels over the years for our anniversaries, but I have never been treated like this in the past. They did some special things for us at this hotel that we have never had done for us before! We were amazed at the way they went above and beyond for us! Then besides everyone being very nice and welcoming, the hotel was so clean and just smelled fresh. The view from our window was beautiful as well! To top it all off their free breakfast was amazing! That is where we met Dominique! She was like icing on the cake. She worked nonstop in the kitchen and dining area to make the breakfast perfect for everyone! She met me the first day and called me by name every day after that! She kept all the food fresh and all the tables clean, like I said, she never stopped! She was cheerful the whole time and just brightened up the breakfast area for us all! She was a great addition to an already beautiful experience! If you are going to be staying anywhere near Hillsboro Oregon for any reason, I would highly recommend you go to the Holiday Inn Express in Hillsboro because you will never find another place that is cleaner than this, or more beautiful than this, or with nicer people than this! I cannot say enough good about this hotel and hope you get to go meet my new friends! With MUCH appreciation again, Wilford (Bill) Allen

No, this one is by far the best experience I've had at a holiday inn Express in YEARS. The front staff was so kind and helpful. However I was refused the $50/10,000 point credit for a 3night stay, even though my stay was 3 nights. Fun side activity: I also had several deposits held on my card - one for each night - and had to check in & out every day. Our room had loud, pounding music all day & night - we thought it was a neighbor; turns out we were above the pool. I was told how sorry they were, and that was it. We had to try to work & take meetings with a constant, loud bass in the background, as well as try to sleep through it. After several texts and complaints, on the third and last night, somebody finally turned it off at 7PM. Not worth the comfy bed & free juice.

He asked how we were doing and so forth. Cons - there was a male individual at the counter speaking to him before we walked in.....without a shirt and only wearing dark colored boxer briefs. Not something that should have been acceptable. Other Pros - Breakfast was good and well stocked. In addition to a make your own waffle station, there were bagels and yogurt, as well as a warm food bar with scrambled eggs, bacon, French toast and biscuits with gravy. Juice options and coffee/tea rounded the corner. Beds were a plus. Firm mattress and supportive pillows. The main issue was the guy wearing nothing but his briefs at the front desk when we came in.

We were able to book quickly at a reasonable rate, and the front desk clerk kindly let us check in early, which we really appreciated. Our room was a good size, with two queen beds, a sofa bed, and a small kitchenette area, making it comfortable and practical for our stay. I was especially pleased to find Udi's gluten free muffins available at breakfast on our first morning, though it was a bit puzzling that there weren't any gluten free options the following day. The staff were excellent throughout. They were so friendly, accommodating, and always willing to help. The location is another big plus, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. They offered us two separate rooms instead, but said we would have to pay for the additional room, which didn't feel reasonable given the situation. After going back and forth, they did end up finding us another room and thankfully didn't charge us extra.
