So, it does not appear to be a Marriott anymore it sorta depends where you look for it. Some places still have it listed as Marriott and that is interesting. On Moving Day we were freaking exhausted and I needed a safe place to park the kid (20yo) and the cat (6?I think?) for a couple nights while I handled all the exodus things at the house.The new place has a stinkbug issue that was being addressed. Dont ask. This came up on Expedia for $139 a night and "pet friendly" just a mile or two from the old house. Sold. Turns out " pet friendly" means dogs not cats but they made an exception for Elliott. The room was great. Big fluffy pillows and white squishy comforters on tall queen sized beds. Netflix on the tv. A fridge. A hot walk in shower for this broken old lady. I was so sore it was nice to have a shower seat. Kid was happy there from Fri night to Sunday morning and I could feel satisfied they were safe and relaxed. It worked out fine. read more

The slider to the balcony was shut but not latched which could be a potential safety/security thing. The room was superficially clean but I found some, I don't know, maybe kid snacks on the floor near the slider, like maybe they didn't vacuum there. There was a kid's toy next to the nightstand, which would have been easy to spot if you walked over to that side of the bed to vacuum. The fitness room wasn't cleaned during my stay. I was under the impression that having a certain elite status (coughs modestly) entitles one to certain benefits, like upgraded wifi. Probably, it's not really faster but it's the illusion of having something no one else has that makes it seem faster. Anyway, "faster wifi" was not offered as option when I connected to the internet. I suffered through the same pedestrian internet speed like everyone else. Which was slow. But not the slowest and my connection didn't drop when I was in the fitness center so that was a positive. The most disappointing thing about my stay was the staff. With the exception of the employee working the bistro, none of them were friendly or even smiled when they greeted me. Excellent customer support is the one of the reasons I choose to stay at Marriott properties. Courtyard Portland Marriott did not deliver this time. read more

They did not replenish the shower shampoo/gels even though I left a message at the front desk AND left a note in the bathroom that they were empty. Maid just makes the beds and empties trash. Not an overall bad hotel but tired of gouging and bad service . All courtyards are now charging for parking as an add on . Also while wifi is provided it is absolutely terrible and slow . A come at the front desk is $5.00 and if you get breakfast or coffee is it appreciably smaller and more expensive than anywhere nearby , My bath too Was missing soap and they never clean rooms now "due to Covid " and labor shortages, I say vote with your wallet and start saying no to corporate gouging . read more

Stayed here recently and woke up in the middle of the night to find a bed bug close to me. Killed it and brought it to the front desk, and they changed me to a different room at my request. Left early in the morning and spoke to management later in the day. They were completely unaware of the problem. I was given a 20% discount eventually after the general manager was contacted. I had expected a bigger discount, but maybe this is a common problem. Nice hotel overall, I just expect more from a Marriott. read more

Internet is slower, but was still able to stream Netflix on smart tv. Price very reasonable & we chose to extend our stay longer than anticipated with no issues! They do charge $75/pet for the length of your stay, but this price was comparable to other hotels in this area. At the time of review, they have breakfast for a fee & dinner restaurant is not open due to staffing. Very close to Tanasbourne shopping center & movie theater with everything you may need within longer walking distance! Hotel is tucked away from main road which felt very safe! read more

Several months ago, I was on yet another little road trip, and played the Priceline bid game again. (If it's not obvious, I love my last minute road trips!) When we arrived at the hotel, the employee at the check-in desk was very friendly and had all sorts of useful information for us. I liked that he was honest about there being some theft in the parking lot in the past, and that the two times it's happened, it was something like "Guest left expensive GPS system on the dashboard" or "Guest left expensive materials in a visible portion of their car." The... common reasons, I guess. In any case, I'm glad they were honest about it. Also, I enjoyed checking out the wine and beer options in the vending machines next to the check-in desk. I was almost tempted to buy one of the beers! The windows just looked out onto the parking lot, so I kept the curtains closed. The room looked nice and cozy, the internet was great for some YouTube entertainment and finding a breakfast spot in the morning, and the bed was quite comfortable. I'm glad they gave us/had a room with one bed, because I think it feels a little awkward when a couple gets a room with two beds. I don't remember much about the shower situation, but it was clean and standard. I believe they had quinoa shampoo, which amused me because I had no idea "quinoa shampoo" existed. The location was probably a 20 minute drive from the places we explored during our visit, but we were in a car, so it wasn't a problem. Plus, it gave us the opportunity to explore a little bit more of Portland! Would I stay there again or recommend it? Yes. There were no extremely outstanding features or a view, but it was a very pleasant experience, and I'd be happy to repeat it. read more

They reluctantly brought us clean towels and did not want to take the dirty towels. I am very disappointed by their service and attitude. Staying here was a horrible experience for our team. We are here for a sports tournament. Our block of rooms was booked 6 months ago...only to get here on Friday at check-in time and none of our rooms were cleaned yet! We had to wait 2 and 1/2 hours to get into our room...and then some families were told they had to find lodging elsewhere after waiting all that time since they were overbooked! We were told breakfast would be provided. There was no where near enough food for the kids staying here. Our 12-14 yo boys are ravenous and there were only 4 packets of instant oatmeal and a few apples when we went to breakfast. For 2 teams with about 25 kids and their whole families. No microwave in our room to heat up the frozen sandwiches I got "just in case", and now we have to leave for game time. They closed the pool yesterday. We need to reimbursed for all of this. AFTERNOON DELIGHT ROOMS Our Accessible room looked more like a kinky dungeon special. The toilet was definitely not for someone ready for a knee replacement, so low that getting back up is nearly impossible. Partial hand rails in the bathroom. Not well cleaned, there were "dirty spots" on the walls of the bathroom that appeared to be dried blood. When I mentioned this to front desk staff, her response was a shrug and rolling her eyes at me. Our group rate included breakfast, which turned to be "available at extra charge" and from what we saw consisted of frozen tidbits prepared by a bartender. Room had very fashionable furnishings that were absolutely not designed to be used. Drawers that were pretty but too small almost anything. Mattress was extremely firm, far beyond our extra-firm mattress at home. Getting a quickie, this is your place. Spending the night trying to sleep, I'd prefer a Comfort Inn. read more

Booked this hotel for work travel and had booked in advance (weeks). The night before checkin day they messaged me and told me that they oversold. They were going to move me to holiday inn (away from the coworkers that stayed in the same hotel). The front desk attendant told me they literally had booked too many and had no room for me. They had decided to move me since I was the lowest tier (member). She then told me that if she had a physical room available she would have given it to me but none were available. I left a voicemail on the general managers number letting them know that cancelling me the night before was inappropriate. I also checked after that as other coworkers were booking in the same hotel and they DID have rooms available at $500 a pop, they just didn't want to give me one at the time and decided they were going to give the room to someone else OR collect more money for the rooms. By the next day the GM had reached out to me to correct the issue and said that after further consideration they were going to accommodate me...so at the end of the day they made it right but the experience was less than stellar... read more

I'm super frustrated with this place. I made a reservation but I had to cancel due to a Covid exposure. I called their office 3 days before my check in date letting them know but no answer. I emailed them letting them know of my situation but didn't hear anything back so i tried to cancel online but because I had already emailed them about canceling to get a full refund it did not give me the option to cancel and be charged the cancellation fee. Anyways the day of my check in came and I'm calling but no answer I couldn't even leave a voicemail. I saw that they charged me for the stay and I got a email from them asking to rate my stay. I called them the next day and they answered so I explained my situation and the lady told me they will reverse the fee. It's been a month and I haven't gotten my money back (mind you it was almost 200 dollars so that's a loss in my book.) I've called asking about it but I've been told it's pending but my bank told me there's no pending charges. So hopefully this will get their attention. I'm sure it's a beautiful hotel but the fact I've been dealing with this situation and never even stepping foot in here is frustrating. read more

Nice place. If I was reviewing only front desk staff, likely would have been 5 stars. If not for them, probably 3 stars. Reserved a room with a roll-in shower and a sofa. Asked for early check-in (before 3 pm) but ended up arriving at around 4 pm. Went to check in, but they were "inspecting" rooms and were a "little behind schedule." They took our phone number and told us they'd call. Got the call around 5:30 pm. Checked in and they apologized, and offered us $20 in their convenience shop. Okay. Hauled all of our stuff upstairs, wife noted there was only a chair, not a sofa and ottoman as the room description indicated. Went downstairs, talked to front desk; none of the ADA rooms have sofas. Okay, not what we asked for, but another chair would suffice. Went to dinner, came back and Voila! Another chair! Awesome! Next morning got up and jumped in the shower. Got out and half the bathroom floor was covered in water. Shower curtain was too high, and the shower pan seemed to lack slope to the drain. Told front desk; they had maintenance move the shower curtain rod down (they remarked it was the wrong style shower rod, so they ordered a new one). Still had some water issues, but they were manageable. We were in town for a wedding as were a number of other guests. Apparently, one reason this hotel was chosen was due to proximity to the wedding venue, and there was to be a shuttle. When one relative asked about the shuttle times, it was explained there wasn't a shuttle. Front desk staff to the rescue again! One of the staff split her shift to be available for our families. Unfortunately, the wedding venue had three parking lots, and guests and shuttle never connected. Our family virtually overtook the lobby areas, and we on occasion became loud. Not a single complaint by the staff. They were attentive, courteous, and showed exceptional customer service, especially Sandy. She was a real trooper! read more

Stayed on May 17, 2019 -the walls are paper thin. Families with kids allow them to rough house and make all kinds of noise -sad. People are idiots when it comes to this. Other than that -the rooms are clean. They have that AC on the inside of the room -that gotta be upgraded -its horrible. The toilet and shower head are weak. They use Paul Mitchell bath products -thats a plus. But the maid didn't change out our container of body wash - Big screen TV in each room -thats always good. read more

Travel for work and I've NEVER had to pay for parking and breakfast. Why not just put it in the room rate? Pretty chicken shirt if you ask me. For a 4 star hotel that was $167 dollars a pop, I was expecting something a little bit more. I felt this was more like a 3 star hotel. I would have rather stayed at the one in Beaverton and pay a little bit less like $80 dollars a night. The biggest complaint is the internet was very unstable. I think it is a scam for you to pay for the $6.95 dollar a night for the internet and faster, but the internet kept on coming in and out. While watching Monday night football at the hotel, I did see the tv come in a out during the plays and very unstable :( My room did come with a balcony, refrigerator and microwave which was a plus as I went to the local gasoline station and got some drinks. The bed was comfortable and fell asleep easily. There is no free breakfast and everything is a little bit more. One other bad thing is that the shower I almost slipped and fell as well. read more

Not a bad spot, us pretty quiet. Sunday evening check-in was a tad rude about a second night that should have been in system. Made us do all the calling around, only to find it was at this locations end. Got fixed by AM, and the crew working then was great. Room is basic, but comfy. Pool and jacuzzi were ok, but the area needs a decent amount of maintenance. Second night in the AC would only work randomly. So did not sleep so well. I always choose my hotel based on whether they have a hot tub and the star ratings in Bookings. I called the hotel a week in advance to ensure that they had a working hot tub. When we arrived, we were told the hot tub was broken. Our room smelled heavily off bleach, but the bathroom floor felt sticky. They advertise in the website that they have a restaurant, but it really wasn't much of a restaurant and besides, it wasn't open anyway. The TV says that Showtime is complimentary, but when it didn't work, the front desk said that it was discontinued. Netflix didn't work either and there were very few channels. When I mentioned the problems they said we could go to a different hotel, but it was getting late and we were tired. I asked for a discounted rate and they did grudgingly give that to us. Later on the day at checked out, my mom's card was charged $70 more than the receipt they gave us. read more

We chose this Courtyard because some of the others had "noise" issues (airport or trains near by). Unfortunately our room had noise issues. Upon entering the room, the toilet was running. I jiggled the handle and that seemed to get the chain untangled, but the toilet was very loud and very slow to fill. Even with the bathroom door shut, I could hear it running after each flush. We also had a very loud HVAC unit in our room. More than just the usual fan noise, this one had a grinding or something each time the condenser kicked on. In the hotel's defense, we didn't have time to report these issues until we were leaving. They were very apologetic. The bed, bedding and pillows were very comfortable. We had a small balcony, which was nice. The courtyard in the middle was nicely decorated. I believe this is a Courtyard design thing, but the TV on the side wall didn't swivel, so watching from in bed is somewhat uncomfortable. I am disappointed at the stay. Right after I checked in, the toilet didn't flush. The WiFi is super slower, even thought there's Netflix on TV, nothing can be loaded. When I called front desk to check on WiFi, they gave me a 877 number to call for troubleshooting. Clean rooms with cozy couches. Convenient parking near side entrances that are close to the rooms. A little market near the lobby that offers snacks, beverages, and items you might forget at home. This is the review for my recent stay at this property where my reservations were messed up and i was wrongly charged for a stay that i did not make. Being a Platinum member and always being loyal to the Marriott brand, did not expect this kind of trouble. I was denied having a reservation (for the night of 24 July and was then charged for no show). I had made reservations for 2 rooms in the same hotel and then had to move to fairfield (searching it on last minute) for that one night with half of my family staying here. It was all mis management and the front desk manager was too careless to check ( even after telling her repeatedly that i had made reservations for 2 rooms for 2 nights). It was overall a bad experience and caused a lot of stress to us. read more

Is this a new hotel? We were put up her for a local event and I was amazed how nice the rooms are! Everything is sparkly clean and fresh. Plus I think every room has a balcony overlooking a beautiful common area in the middle. Check-in took mere minutes and was done with a smile. Only two very minor things bothered me during our visit. Housekeeping didn't get to our room until about 3pm which is unusual in my experience. We usually leave a hotel room in the morning to go have fun. Then we come back after lunch to a fresh room. Maybe they were just busy. The other thing is every surface of the spa is coated in a non-skid texture that may be more at home on an airport runway than a pool floor. Be careful to avoid road rash on your hiney! The a/c units in the rooms work very well and are easy to use. Nice indoor pool for the winter visits. Starbucks in the lobby! Comfortable beds. Friendly staff, convenient location for my offices, close to lots of food options, rooms are large, bright, and clean/well maintained. Only about a half mile walk to a little "city center" shopping area with multiple restaurants, some quick & easy, others sit-down style, including both chains and local eateries. I also really appreciate that there are dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower versus the tiny bottles that are often thrown out after 1 use, creating a lot of plastic waste. Wifi is complimentary, and was good for free wifi. Speed isn't stellar, but connection was good enough and was reliable/had good signal. I like a medium mattress and pillow, which I know is all personal preference, but I found the bed to be very comfortable and the room was quiet and peaceful. I really enjoyed my stay here and would stay again. read more

Wonderful front desk reception The day girl Cyndee was amazing to me upon check in. Extremely concerned with my delicate emotional condition. Came to my room to check on me after I checked in. The rooms were amazing clean and the food and drinks what I ate of them were excellent. No complaints here except for the noisy guests on the 3rd floor. We have stayed here a couple of times on my trips to PDX. While it might look like it is out-of-town, I am used to driving in much larger cities so I find it easy to get around Portland from here since it is right off the highway. The staff have always been great, exceptionally friendly and always asking how they can be of assistance. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the pool/hottub are a nice way to end the day -- especially after a tortuous day overdoing it outdoors. Added bonus: it is a short walk to the cinema a block away, plus there are places to eat and shop nearby if you don't feel like going into the city. I think that I'll be making this my main base for future trips to the area. read more

Great food excellent service, very personable and caring. She is awesome. Our children loved the small tvs in the bistro. We are really enjoying our stay. The first, and probably most important, thing to recognize is that the hotel is managed by InnVentures. I stay at roughly 100 hotels a year/1000 over the past ten, and for some weird reason the consistent energy, and thus issues you will encounter, that more than seldom flow from InnVentures employees' attitudes strikes a distinct tone in my mind as being near the bottom of the pyramid. In fairness, however, I should say that someone earlier in the day of the night I checked in, February 4, 2022, had taken the time at the hotel to place me in a room type I requested when I called, although, also in fairness, I have made the same phone call and received the same response from 99% of the other 1000-plus hotels I allude to above. When I walked into the hotel to check-in, I was confronted by the most boisterous group enjoying themselves in the lobby I ever have encountered at a hotel. Also, later I discovered that the room I was assigned was in a location that actually made it probably noisier than most, although that may not be easy for hotel staff to recognize at first glance. When I spoke to Sandy at the front desk about moving rooms she informed me the hotel was booked solid, although the parking lot certainly would not have indicated that. She also seemed somewhat put-out and, ultimately, could only find one more room in the hotel for me to potentially move to, interestingly, essentially, in the same type of location as the current room-at-issue, but at the other end of the hall. Also, when I was speaking to Sandy the noise from the boisterous crowd in the lobby became so loud that, even standing feet away from Sandy, we could not hear each other speak. Sandy apologized to me. I said, "There is apologizing and there is telling guests that they are being way too loud." However, as I was to be informed the next day upon check-out, these were regular "hockey parents," obviously, as indicated by the hotel's familiarity with the guest-type, a consistent source of income for InnVentures and, essentially, by the tone of the front desk's response, something I was expected to put up with. I stayed in my original room and was subjected to consistent pot smoke most of the remaining time of my stay, including when the smoke woke me at 3:00 a.m. I left my business card at the front desk upon departing and informed the front desk about my neighbor's pot smoking, also stating that I did not feel I had gotten what I paid for. I further asked to be contacted by the Manager. This being the same conversation alluded to above in which I was told, essentially, that hockey parents at this hotel rule, the front desk employee simply "thanked" me for leaving my card, almost stating without explicitly stating it that I would not hear from anyone and, perhaps then it goes without saying, I heard from no one, although InnVentures did, of course, manage to expend the energy ensuring that it debited my bank account for my stay. read more

Standard Courtyard hotel, nothing spectacular that sets it apart, but no complaints either. Staff was friendly, and it had a nice open outdoor courtyard area to sit and relax. Meeting space is limited however. It has the typical Bistro cafe, which I find to lack variety and be pricy, but since it was a work trip made for an easy dinner. Cobb salad and chicken wings. The lobby is huge with lots of space to chill if you don't want to stay in your room. Definitely booking again at this location next time I'm in town. read more

Not the best A combination of issues made the stay frustrating for me and my family, here are the highlights: Assigned a room that hadn't been serviced, had to change rooms. Reserved a king room with sofa sleeper but was assigned a double. Reserved a room for four but only had three sets of towels and had to ask three times, hours and a day apart before getting the fourth set. Card reader for side entry wasn't working which required several trips to the front desk to get the key card rebooted before discovering it was the reader and not the card. The iced tea from the Starbucks in the lobby was just lightly tinted water. Did I mention the numerous disturbing strains in the carpet? I rely on the hospitality industry for about 60 nights a year and I understand that is not possible to be 100 all the time so I don't expect it. Unfortunately this stay failed my three strike rule and sadly I haven't even listed all of the frustrations I experienced. read more
