Great little spot for snacks. Very helpful and friendly staff. The food is fresh and not precooked.

    Bug Bites from the bed

I'm a longtime Marriott Bonvoy Member, and this Courtyard Marriott on Butler Boulevard in Jacksonville is, without question, the worst Marriott property I've ever stayed in. I booked through Booking.com for three nights (Sept 12-15) but left after one. Room 423 was disgusting -- filthy floors, stains, and bugs. After waking up with bug bites that required a trip to urgent care, I notified the front desk. They moved me to another room, but it was no better -- dirty, unkempt, and downright unsanitary. Meanwhile, the lobby was full of people who appeared to be on drugs, arguing and trying to check in while staff ignored it. Down the hallway near the ice machine, a pipe was leaking steadily, adding to the sense that this property has fallen into complete neglect. The worst part? The hotel refused to issue a refund, even for the nights I didn't stay. The general manager never followed up. Marriott Corporate offered me "points" as if that makes up for medical bills and an infested room. If this is what the Marriott brand stands for now, I'm genuinely disappointed. Bonvoy Members -- and any traveler -- deserve better. Do not stay here. This place is filthy, unsafe, and management simply doesn't care.

3/4/24 One night stay. Hotel is close to I-95 with a lot of restaurants around. Front desk staff were very friendly and had my reservation ready upon my arrival. The bistro bartender was super outgoing and mixed a decent Old Fashioned that I enjoyed. Two double beds with plenty of space. Work desk if you are on business. The HVAC worked great (a must in FL) and the shower water temp was very hot (another plus for me). Room 513 was clean and bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed my stay and will visit again when in Jacksonville for business.

Our room could use a major update. Looks like it's been this way since the mid 90s. Bathroom is really in need of a good cleanup. The gym equipment is pretty sad, two threadmills neither working very well at all and one elliptical machine. It was nice to have cold filter water in there, bonus after a good workout. Staff that we engaged with were super friendly. My son had breakfast and it was very good according to him, I had a Starbucks coffee,. It was made just the way I like it. The dining area was clean as was the lounge area.

OUTSTANDING...staff, customer service...room was nicely furnished, clean and smelled fresh. I arrived on Christmas afternoon - upon my arrival I was greeted by Annie (front desk associate) and Lindsay (front desk supervisor) both ladies were friendly, efficient, and very helpful. Checkin was very fast and was provided with the layout of the hotel...gym, business center, etc. The lobby area appears to be newly renovated...guessing within the last year or so...everything is very clean and well designed. There is a Bistro and Starbucks in the lobby. There are quite a few TV's in the lobby and breakfast area, always displaying the weather and traffic conditions nearby. There is a pool behind the hotel, nicely fenced and very well kept. My room was located on the 5th floor on the West side...very nice layout...the bed was very comfortable, it was not too hard and not too soft. The design of the room is perfect as well which reduced the noise heard from the hallway. The room was nicely furnished, clean and smelled fresh. It came with a one cup coffee maker, but no microwave. The bathroom was also clean and very nice. The free wireless Internet access worked fine. I was impressed by how little noise I heard from other rooms. As for food there is a Cracker Barrel shares the parking lot space so you can walk to Cracker Barrel, Applebee's, or The Waffle House. . I would recommend staying here if you want a nice clean convenient hotel. As a business traveler I get the opportunity to stay in various hotels. I have to say this has to be one of the best I've stayed at in awhile. The thing I liked most about this hotel is the convenience factor of the location...right off I95 and JTB so easy on and off the highway. If you are traveling with family or needed snacks that are not in the Market store in the hotel...there is a Publix store for groceries a few blocks away from the hotel (not walking distance) Overall I had a wonderful experience at this hotel.

Easy access to the water taxi for other events was definitely an added plus. The DoubleTree Riverfront hotel deserves a 10++ for everything they did! The hotel staff was amazing and every single person went above and beyond, and directly aided the reason for the reunion's success, and we do mean every single person! Sara, the sales professional was extremely responsive, easy to work with and connected us to the right people to work with. Apollo managed the banquet room, and he knows the event business. He was directly responsible for all the interworking's of our large banquet, technical requirements and success of the banquet. His help in the PA/sound system and up-lighting was instrumental in making the event a success! He even created a custom menu for our attendees to review prior to entering the buffet. Last minute requests?...No problem! Judy made the buffet dinner run flawlessly. She released all the tables in systematic order getting everyone through the line in record time. The dinner was served on time and it was great! Hat's off to the chef and team! We had some ADA veterans and those who had a little more difficult time moving, so Judy had the staff serve the dessert, a very honorable and much appreciative gesture on her part. We couldn't thank her enough! Kevin, Joe, Troy, Michele plus the bartender were outstanding in flipping the room for the banquet and setting up the room's tables and chair covers. All had amazing attitudes and took care of every detail requested. Ezzy and her staff in the breakfast room simply excelled in their service. They made us all feel so welcomed and the food was very good. We talked to several attendees at the banquet and a common theme was how extraordinary all the hotel staff (and I mean all) was, hands down great. A big thank you to everyone and DoubleTree family!!!

While the staff…read morewas accommodating, responsive, and courteous, the physical condition of the hotel fell far below the standard I have come to expect from the Hilton brand. Unfortunately, the only items that appeared consistently clean were the towels. My guest room (both of them) was dirty, with a stained bathtub, unclean floors, and mildew in the shower. The public areas were equally disappointing. The entry doors and common spaces appeared neglected, giving the impression that routine cleaning and maintenance were not priorities. The pool water looked questionable, and the men's public restroom was unsanitary, with a strong urine odor and urinals that appeared to have accumulated urine residue. This property is in desperate need of a comprehensive renovation or perhaps even a complete rebuild. It simply does not reflect the quality, cleanliness, or guest experience that Hilton is known for. I sincerely hope corporate leadership invests in restoring this hotel to the standard that loyal Hilton guests expect and deserve.

The Inn is located in a nice area of Riverside and is close to restaurants and museums, as well as the water. Our room was on the second floor and was a nice size room with a tv, coffee maker, mini fridge and a beautiful bed. The Inn also has a bar on the first floor, as well as a good size dining room for daily breakfast. The menu offered about 5 or 6 options. We both went with the vegetable cheese omelettes and they were the best omelettes we have ever had. There was also a cute little outdoor patio adjacent to the second floor common area. This is a renovated classic structure, offering a great combination of old school charm with modern necessities. In the morning, we had a wonderful breakfast served with a smile. There's plenty of parking, and they even have electric vehicle chargers in the parking lot. I did take a very short walk to the waterfront. Overall, great rooms, friendly people, and the traditional bed and breakfast experience.
