The hotel was clean, quiet and the staff friendly. The Bistro... well... that was a disappointment. My "loaded tots" breakfast item, pictured below, was literally a bowl of tots, a sprinkle of unmelted cheese and 3 slices of bacon (the bacon was nicely done, for what it's worth). I asked for salsa. I got 3 packs Franks Hot Sauce, which is not salsa. It was dry, bland, tasteless. Skip it, IMO. read more

Great hotel and fitness center. Not thrilled that we couldn't have outside food in the lobby or even outdoor area as there are limited common places for larger families to eat. We were in town with a lot of extended family for a funeral and when we brought in sandwiches after a long day, the staff said we couldn't have them in the lobby due to "food safety" reasons. read more

Rooms are very dated, service is very eh (friendliness), Be aware if you dry clean here, the prices listed aren't even close to what you will actually be charged. Example, it says sport coat is $8.99, I got charged $12.50. That's like 28% more. Response? "Sorry, we changed cleaning companies." Ummm sorry that's illegal! Breakfast is eh. We had a group of 20 here with corporate rates that include "breakfast." What is included is laughable. Coffee isn't awful. Not much room to sit in the lobby. No USB ports in the room. A/C system doesn't function great. They responded to my review on another place saying my jacket is "more than a typical sport coat." L-oh-l. What???? It's a damn sport coat - what a bunch of BS. That's just dumb. It is illegal to advertise one price and charge another. One person says new cleaning company another says "not a typical sport coat." I'm not sure if I'm going to chase this but we will see. They say they've "only heard good comments about their renovations." Well, I've been Marriott Platinum for many years (lifetime) and so have many of my colleagues (we had around 14 there at the time) who felt the same way. Surprised by all the negative reviews, though I gather the property was renovated recently. My room was clean and modern. Staff very friendly and helpful. There is a Target in the same shopping area, which is always a plus. For the person who complained that there's no free breakfast like that's strange, it's not - Courtyards always have the paid Bistro which is marginal at best but that's just a Marriott thing. The best thing about this hotel is the fitness center - it is huge and we'll equipped and one of the best I've seen in a Courtyard. The worst part, sadly, is the pillows, which are horrible (do note that as I've aged, I am a bit of a picky pillow person). I could hear the rooms around me, but nothing a little white noise couldn't fix. read more

Apparently I haven't stayed at a Courtyard in a long time because this one was way nicer than I remember them being. The lobby was very contemporary and boasted seating around a large screen TV, several PCs/Printers for internet use, a quick dry goods store and the bistro that served breakfast/lunch and dinner. The rooms were very spacious. I had one off the courtyard that had a small balcony off it looking over the fire-pit and towards the indoor pool. The room itself was fine, nothing stands out, but nothing was wrong. I will say it was a very full hotel, yet very quiet. They have free wi-fi, but they limit the bandwidth, so if you want to stream you may have to pay $4.95 to upgrade your connection. All in all it was a good stay. Near restaurants, easy to get in/out of, quiet and clean - that is all I need! read more

I am concluding a 30-day stay at this property and wanted to share my positive experience, in an effort to allay anyone's concerns about the state of the property, as most reviews are quite old. The property has been given a significant facelift and my room was both clean and modern and internet was solid. My only gripe is that I was neither able to connect my external hard drive or connect my laptop via HDMI to watch movies on the smart TV in the room. Hardly a fault of the property. All the staff were pleasant, helpful and maintenance was responsive when I had a small issue with the shower. In addition, I felt there was a genuine concern for COVID health precautions and my general comfort while staying. The property is very quiet at night (its winter so I can't attest to the experience when warm and outside seating is open), and although I had next-door neighbors in and out over my stay, I heard little more than running water and opening/closing of doors. Whole Foods, ACME and Target are all walking distance and everything from Indian to Spanish food is nearby and available on Grubhub and Uber Eats. Overall great experience - will stay again, and highly recommend for business travelers. read more

I have been staying in Marriott lodging during competition travels with my child. While generally the experience has been positive, this particular stay stands out: 1. I have accumulated enough points to use it for the stay. Surprisingly, very limited selection in Philly area was open once I selected 'pay by points'; 2. Courtyard Devon had a few open rooms for $$ but afforded me just a wheelchair-accessible room for Marriott Points: a. a lovely little outside space was covered with garbage, bird excrement; b. bathroom corners/ walls, while recently renovated - where dusty/ stained underscoring perfunctory cleaning; 3. When i asked to check out one day early, the lovely manager claimed that the hotel has a 2-day minimum - which was not noted neither on the reservation nor on the site. 4. Voice messages to the hotel manager (Cara McCary ?) were left unanswered. It is sad that wheelchaired customer would face dusty and dirt! It's 1:30 am, there has been a loud party going on in the outside courtyard for over 3 1/2 hours. There are signs in the elevator that tell you to be quiet after 10 pm. There is loud music playing, tons of people talking, partying and carrying on. Called the front desk twice and the gentleman named Jerome said both times, "I will have the houseman go check and see what is going on". We all can easily see, hear and know what's going on, it needs to stop so everyone with a room attached to the courtyard can sleep. This place, if you find yourself staying here, is fine. The rooms are a little old and dated but it's clean and cozy. There's no restaurant or room service and overall the vibe is kinda old and jenky. The elevator is unfortunately placed so it's quite a hike to and fro. If you can get a room for cheap, then I'd say go for it. But realize this is not luxury by any definition. read more

This place has gone downhill since Covid. 2 towels one little bar of soap. You will pay for their breakfast. (Unheard of for a CM). Unfortunately no other affordable hotels in the area. For the price of the room I felt The hotel to be lacking in many amenities found in lesser priced. hotels. 1. There were four of us in the room but only three bath towels two face towels and two wash cloths. 2. Only one mirror in the room that was usable and when you have four people staying in the room that is unacceptable. 3. There were no hooks in the room behind the doors to hang a wet swimsuit. 4. You have to go up to your room to make the coffee there was no free coffee offered in the lobby. 5. The hotel staff was rude to a few of our party. All I all although room was clean we found these deficiencies detracted from our stay. read more

If you've found yourself here, it's likely because you are on business somewhere randomly outside of Philadelphia. Let me start by saying that the staff was extremely friendly and the lobby was very nice. The little cafe/bar they had came equipped with a decent selection (don't get the salad unless you like iceberg lettuce with uh, peanuts in it.) Breakfast is quite good though and you can easily take it to go. You can have the nicest lobby in the world, and make everyone feel like they are in some business class hotel in Oslo...but at the same time the beds here for more than 1-2 nights are not recommended (I was here for 5 nights.) If they would just invest in some better bedding (you know, like the crisp ones in Euro hotels...) and not the cheapy cotton stuff, I think it would have turned to a better night for me. Pillows, lumpy... Also, just because I say I don't mind what floor does not mean that you automatically put me on the first, next to the elevator, by the ice machine when you obviously are not full. I might be a little bit sour because I was stuck here during the blizzard of the century in Philadelphia, but a little more creature comfort (for the price of $150 a night!) would have been nice. read more

Full disclosure: my wife works for Marriott, albeit in Chicago. I still can't get over the changes Marriott Courtyards have made since I first started using them over ten years ago. When I stepped into the lobby to check in this evening, it smelled great. The woman who checked me in said they had shrimp dumplings tonight. If I didn't have a dinner meeting already planned, I would have stuffed myself silly before I even got to my room. Love the decor. Love the giant information monitor. The staff here is friendly and engaging. Check-in was a breeze. The common areas such as the hallways look like they could use a refresh, but the room looks like they have been renovated recently. Nice, big 37" flat-screen, and actual HD channels for an HD TV. I hate hotels that have nice TVs and only SD channels. A/C and heat is supplied by a wall unit, but it is controlled by a digital thermostat conveniently placed on the wall near the entrance. The Internet is free or you can opt for a $4.95/day upgrade to satisfy your streaming needs. I didn't go for the upgrade. The free Internet is fine for me, but it does hiccup from time to time. The $150/night rate I got seems pricey for this type of hotel, but it's competitive with nearby hotels at the same service level. Oh, if you work for SAP (I do), there's a free shuttle to campus in the morning and back in the evening. read more

I have stayed here twice and both times found the hotel to be very clean, up-to-date, accommodating, and hospitable. I most recently stayed in a suite with 2 double beds and 1 sofa bed, which I assumed would just be a large room with all those beds, but actually had a separate bedroom and really spacious living room area. This hotel is also walking distance to a K-Mart and Acme grocery store, and the rooms have microwaves and mini fridges so it's easy to stock & prepare snacks while you're staying here. The parking lot is large, and you can easily get to public transportation as well. The downstairs bar has great food & snack options, with Starbucks coffee in the morning and wine, beer, and cocktails later in the day. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the area. It can be pricey but is well worth the cost for the amenities and cleanliness. read more

This is the worst Courtyard I've ever been to. Here are my reasons: (1) Hotel staff, especially those in the bistro, are not friendly. I ordered a sandwich and the supervisor who took my order never gave it to me. One of his staff told me that he thought I left and never even bothered to look for me or ask for me. I was a few feet away from them. (2) Internet access is very slow. It's like a dial-up access so never bother to switch on your laptop. (3) The place is not that clean. Even the elevator smells funny. Bed linens are rough. (4) In my first day, the TV was not working. (5) Expensive and not worth the price. read more

This hotel is right on the strip of multiple stores. I needed at 9am check in. When I arrived my room was ready. The staff was very friendly. We decided to eat breakfast at the restaurant onsite. The food was very good but a little expensive. The room was a nice size and very clean. I would definitely book this hotel again. read more

If you're a family, DO NOT STAY HERE! I booked a room for a family of four. The web site gave me a choice between a room with a king and no roll away bed or for an extra $100 a room with a king and a sofa bed. Remember when hotels were family friendly and had two queens? Those days are gone. When we arrived we found the sofa. We pulled out the bed. It was unmade. The mattress looked as if it had been left on I-476 so that it could be driven over. It was misshapen. It was stained. Urine? Vomit? Semen? My wife called downstairs. The desk clerk Told us to make the bed ourselves. Evidently maid services are a thing of the past at Marriott. The hotel management knew four people were going to stay in the room. Why wasn't the bed made? Does Marriott expect kids to sleep on the floor? We had to search the room find the sheets. They we're in the closet. There was no mattress pad. Do my children need to sleep on such filth? I called down and asked to have the bed made or be switched to two rooms with a king each. I was told that they couldn't do it and if I was unhappy I should tell the manager in the morning. I wouldn't stay here even on business. The competitors' rooms and service are superior. There was not even a telephone at the desk. A complete rip off for families. Avoid. read more

I stayed at this hotel during Dressage at Devon 2014. The hotel was very up to date. My room was clean and in pretty near perfect condition. The bed was so comfortable and soft! Completely average hotel - noting to rave about, nothing to complain about. Adequately clean. Average soft bed, huge TV, comfy couch, decent work out facility, small pool, lots of fluffy towels. Rooms were small, not sure i could have shared the King room without climbing over each other to get into the bed. And where a third or fourth person would go for the pull out couch is a mystery. Free wi-fi was adequate for my purposes, could even stream Netflix early in the am in the gym, but not later in the day in my room - assume more guests using the bandwith.Quiet space for working and sleeping. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!! My room was dark and unclean--there was only a sliding glass door and no windows. The bed was poorly made and the linens wrinkled and rough. The staff said they have a contract with SAP. I did not see one female in the lobby at dinner or breakfast. There was loud noise in the halls as the boys came up from drinking. It is not a safe feeling for females to stay here. I felt as if I was in a college frat boys house. There are serious management problems at this hotel. read more

If you see a short and plump Asian woman, walk out or ask for someone else. She is very rude and unprofessional, however everyone else was pretty decent. They have quite a few business meeting rooms and are often out of vacancy. I'd suggest you stay here for business but not for vacation because the staff is not relaxing. read more
