Came here specifically because they had a pool and then when we arrived was told the pool was "out of order".... Beyond frustrating! Literally the Only Reason we rented a room for the night. However the hotel appears to have recently gotten an upgrade with nice decor & the lobby area is very nice- see pictures. The room was very nicely sized which was nice! Everything was nice and clean. Staff was friendly. The area surrounding this hotel is a complete dump. The "motel" next door is a prostitute ridden drug den - with people coming in and out at all hours- thankfully there are a lot of trees/cover so you don't really see it much- it needs to be condemned or knocked down. I doubt I would stay here again.

The hotel is tucked behind Doherty's Ale House. There's plenty of parking and the property is well kept. The Starbucks/bistro area is a nice place for a quick small bite and great to grab breakfast on the go. Customer service was pretty good, but I minus 1 star because the front desk didn't tell me all the things that's came with my booking. My company booked it for me so I didn't know what was booked. The 1st week the gal gave me my keys and that was it. I left out of town later that weekend and check back in for the 2nd week. This time the nice older lady gave me the keys, told me about all the services they provide (gym, swimming pool, bistro hours and etc) and told me my rates came with breakfast. She told me I could choose anything off the menu for free!! When I asked her about my same booking the week before, she confirmed my booking included breakfast too!!! I was paying for my coffee and breakfast there everyday!!! I know I could talk to the manager and get a reimbursement for what I spent at the bistro, but I didn't feel like making a big stink especially when I'm tired after work. The management does seem nice there and they did include a personal letter on my room with whom I can contact with any issues. But like I said, too tired to make a stink. I just wanted to go to the room and sleep right after work. Overall, rooms were big and clean. I was comfortable for the 2 weeks there. I had stayed at the Marriott Downtown Providence for 2 weeks the month prior and I like this Courtyard better. The price is cheaper here too!

Would never return. Rooms are out dated. You need to pay for breakfast. Hot tub was not working. The rooms are so dark!

No significant complaints regarding cleanliness, but it was starting to show its age, particularly in the bathroom edges, door frame, etc. The main living space such as the bed, counters, fridge, etc. seemed clean, and the towels were nice. The lobby and breakfast area was big, bright, open and clean, and as noted the breakfast seemed much better than what I'm used to at similar hotels. The gym is small considering the amount of space they dedicated to conference rooms and the lobby, but seemed to have some decent equipment in it. The pool was small and didn't seem particularly well-maintained. Water definitely needed a refresh, but it's wet, and that seemed good enough for some of the kids staying there. The parking lot uncovered, but massive, which is nice. They were struggling with ice control in a couple spots, but those areas were flagged and overall it was well-maintained. Fringe benefit - you're VERY close to a solid brewery. About 1/2 a mile. Walkable if you're so inclined, but it's a bit of a challenge due to fences. Very quick drive. Leave via the parking lot entrance on the restaurant side, turn left, stay on that street until you turn left just before the field of solar panels...

Let's break it down on the Rick Scale: Value: Very reasonably priced. 5/5 Room: Good size with plenty of storage, decent sized bathroom and comfortable bed. 5/5 Hospitality: Front desk was super accommodating and nice. Rest of the staff seems very happy to help you. 5/5 Housekeeping: Not the cleanest Garden Inn that I have stayed at. Could use some TLC. 3/5 Maintenance: This hotel is starting to show its age. From noisy HVAC systems to little defects in the furniture, it's all starting to show. The carpet in the rooms and hallway need to be replaced asap. It gives a strong musty odor. 2/5 Restaurant: Great selection of food and drink. It's not a typical Garden Inn restaurant but rather an actual bar joined to the hotel via a hallway in which you'd need your room key to re-enter the hotel. Overall it's a great place; close to the airport if I'm traveling through for work, it does the job well but really needs an update for the rooms. I stay here often and I notice it's slowly declining in quality.

Upon arrival the room was at 68 (below 30 outside) soooo turned that sucker up. Put it on 74 and thought it would warm up overnight. Arrived pretty late, after 11pm. To my suppose the room was still at 68. And getting out of a warm bed to that was not my idea of a good morning. I called the front desk and the agent confirmed I was using the right thermostat to control the temp and noted that maintenance would check it. That was fixed as when I returned it was a nice balmy 76! Downside though was the unit did an odd cycling thing with warm air....cold air...warm air. So it never shut off at night and tan the entire time. Their drive way is odd, one way only and Tuesday morning there was a delivery truck blocking the exit. Thankfully no one else was behind us so we were able to back out. The room felt very industrial. Concrete walls and high ceilings, with an almost open concept bathroom. Barn door and the shower was a waterfall (over head) with hand held option thankfully. If you've got curtly hair, you know why a waterfall shower is the worst. And to ere was no shower cap as an option. The shower itself did not go all the way to the ceiling which also meant there was no barrier between you and the room. If share with a partner may not be bad but with friends, that's a nightmare. Other downside was the lock was funky. When leaving for dinner, thank goodness I checked the lock as it did not lock. I had to open the door and mess with it to finally lock. All in all decent hotel however I can't say I'd stay again.

The space is clean and modern. My family and I stayed there recently. The room was nice. We had a king bed, a chair, large TV, desk, Keurig machine, and decent bathroom. The bed was comfy and the pillows were great and firm. I've been to many hotels where the pillows are just limp and flat. The room was quiet and I didn't hear my neighbors. Unfortunately, there was some sort of youth sports conference event the weekend we went and the pool was packed everyday with tweens. Needless to say, we didn't get to swim in the pool. Overall, we did have a nice stay and would definitely stay there again.
