Stayed here one night. The power went out. They offered me a 10% discount for the inconvenience. What did I get? I got overcharged $40 that night and then two days later got an additional $30 charge on my credit card for nothing. When I called the woman who answered said only a manager can resolve the problem and there was no manager on duty. I would have to "call back Monday". Called back Monday. Still no manager on duty. I called many times after that and no one even picked up the phone. Left messages with the front desk and accounting. No response. Made a complaint through the main BON VOY website. They assured me they would take care of it. Nothing. Do your self a favor. Don't stay here. read more

WARNING DO NOT STAY HERE . INFESTED WITH RATS ! The hotels outdoor areas were INFESTED WIth rats . Absolutely horrifying . The pool was closed for DAILY maintenance all weekend . We were there for the 2025 seaside classic ( soccer ) there were lacrosse teams there a lot of kids . They have no food for breakfast not even to buy . They had about 3 sodas in the machine by the desk. It became apparent no one wanted to discuss the pool , but that's like 1/2 of the whole experience for these kids. I am positive it was closed because the staff didn't want to deal with it . That's not fair to anyone who paid the crazy rates we did . When. You walk past the front desk I've never felt so ignored people were waiting to talk to someone for over an hour . Being that your location is next to a dogtopia - which rats can get people's dogs sick . Let alone the guests at this hotel . Our ac was leaking we changed room it appears they ALL had leaking AC systems . Everyone we knew had a wet floor just like. Us . The fire alarm went off ( someone was making toast - which to my knowledge there wasn't food there ) it didn't go off in everyone's room , and I almost stepped on a rat a 7 am when the alarm went off . We checked in on 7/11/25. My partner has called about 4 times only to be told he would get a call back . WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK !!!! They won't even return. His calls to the hotel. You would think he would call back as he wouldn't want his hotel to get terrible reviews and photos with the rats in them . My partner has made several phone calls to be put on hold , told he was on his break , then it was he's on lunch and not one time did they reach back out to rectify the issue. I wish zero or negative stars were an option. Oh, where to start. Well checkin started the downward spiral. The woman behind the desk had no clue how to do anything, like use the computer in front of her or find a reservation. Then the person on duty came to help and he was definitely a sign of thigs to come. Giant hole in the pocket of his pants exposing his belly, dirty hands and hair and a stained shirt. I discounted it, maybe end of day, maybe he got into a fight with a coffee machine. Well, arrived at room which smelled of a unique combination of dirty socks and mold. There were silverfish in the bathroom, and the corners where things like walls would meet were open. Clearly there had been unrepaired water damage. It was late and I just went to bed. Room termerature was really cold and.the sheets were plastic. I awoke, went to take a shower, more bugs and mold on shower curtain. Decided that despite traveling and feeling the need for a hot shower, I determined that I would emerge dirtier if I actually tried to shower there. Then, starving, I chose to eat only prepackaged food and have very very hot coffee- (the way one eats when in the third world) was overcharged for cereal and coffee ($13??? really). The staff was as dirty as the place. The same gentleman emerged, now in what appeared to be pajama pants and filthy tattered sweatshirt. I'm not sure what Marriot's standards are these days, but somebody from corporate needs to take a look at this place. The mold caused me to wakeup with itching eyes and a very bad sore throat. Between the hygene of the staff and the lack of maintaining things, someone is going to get really sick. read more

This was the worst Marriott experience I ever had. First, all of the infrastructure (furniture, AC, elevator) is severely out dated. The property only provides a refresh--which is code for giving you new towels only--every other day. If that's there rules then that's fine. My biggest problem is that I have stayed at this property for 6 nights and THEY NEVER CAME TO CLEAN LET ALONE REFRESH THE ROOM. I had piles of towels and sheets building into a mountain in my room. I even provided first and second gentle reminders about my room being missed. To add insult to injury, someone came into the room but left everything worse than before. The sinks nor bathtubs had been cleaned. The new towels were scattered all across the room. The bed was not made and a dirty towel (not even sure if it was mine) was left on top of the unmade bed. The only thing they did was take the dirty towels and linen essentially. As I went to complain there were several other customers with similar complaints and the staff argued with them back and forth. Horrible experience 0/10. read more

I was treated badly I was given keys to a room that a man was already in . I am 61 year old woman I was traveling alone it was late at night. I had to find another hotel room. After my trip I contacted Marriott corporation and the hotel to be refunded for being charged with staying in a room someone else was in. Management refused to talk to me Marriott advised nothing they can do I have to speak with hotel directly. read more

Came here specifically because they had a pool and then when we arrived was told the pool was "out of order".... Beyond frustrating! Literally the Only Reason we rented a room for the night. However the hotel appears to have recently gotten an upgrade with nice decor & the lobby area is very nice- see pictures. The room was very nicely sized which was nice! Everything was nice and clean. Staff was friendly. The area surrounding this hotel is a complete dump. The "motel" next door is a prostitute ridden drug den - with people coming in and out at all hours- thankfully there are a lot of trees/cover so you don't really see it much- it needs to be condemned or knocked down. We couldn't spend the night here. The elevator smelt like it was drenched in urine and when I checked the mattress, it had bug parts stuck in the cracks. There was no way we were taking the chance of picking up bedbugs. The room also smelled of mold. We left at 1am after driving for 13 hours. We had to put our animals back in their carriers, drag ourselves to the car and find another hotel. It was horrible. We mentioned to the women at the desk what happened and they simply smiled and said "we're sorry" We walk past it often now and can laugh about our horrible experience there but believe me, no one should stay in that reeking, unhygienic, revolting place. We stayed Friday-Wednesday & had some good experiences & some bad ones. We slept great the beds are wonderful, the pillows are average. There was no shampoo in the shower, no biggie, we asked for some from the front desk. We got it 2 days later The next day we ran out of the body wash on the shower, we got that filled 3 days later They clean the rooms every other day. I thought that was totally cool. However we did want our shower items filled. They told us we would have our room cleaned on Sunday, we ended up not getting our room cleaned until Tuesday. We called and or spoke with the front desk each day, mostly to no avail. The night front desk did bring towels, shampoo & toilet paper up for us. We asked for a free breakfast, she gave us 2 coupons for breakfast. We found out it didn't cover a whole breakfast. We each ordered one breakfast sandwich & a cup of coffee (nothing fancy or extra here). After the coupons were entered ($20 off), we still owed $18 So instead of a free breakfast, it was actually more money than we spent the day before for our breakfast elsewhere. Walter was the barista & breakfast attendant, he was super helpful & went the extra mile to make sure our room got cleaned that day. He checked a couple times for us. Walter was amazing. Our room "keys" also were a factor of disappointment. We had to have our cards reset almost once a day. I think there was only one day they worked in the evening when we got back. We kept them in our pockets with nothing else near them. It was frustrating to go To the 3rd floor and then have to come back down each time because they weren't working again. We thought when we booked a Marriott it would be a nice experience. We had stayed at a Residence Inn before coming to the Courtyard & it was so nice. Bottom line, I doubt we will ever stay at a Courtyard again. read more

Not only is the bed completely hard but the one reason I chose this hotel, the hot tub, is not working. This is the 2nd Marriott that has had a broken hot tub in the last couple of months. What is it about hot tubs Marriott, can you not afford to fix them? When we called to make reservations we had if the Courtyard Marriott Warwick had a pool. Lisa who made our reservations confirmed that there was a Pool. We drove 3 hours with 2 kids, at check in we were informed that both the Pool and Cafe were closed. We continue to pay full price without the benefit of the amenities that we confirmed. Stopped by this hotel on our way to MA. It was a holiday weekend so we paid a lot for the room, which was just really disappointing overall. Scratchy towels, loud AC unit, constantly dripping shower head. Oh, and no fan in the bathroom. The most annoying part to me though is that they still haven't opened their Bistro back up. So no breakfast at all... not even a grab n go variety. You can pay some exorbitant prices for some food in their little convenience store but we took a pass on that and went to a coffee shop instead. It gets a second star because the staff were nice and the lobby is nice. And the room was at least very clean, bed bug free, and included a Keurig. read more

The hotel is tucked behind Doherty's Ale House. There's plenty of parking and the property is well kept. The Starbucks/bistro area is a nice place for a quick small bite and great to grab breakfast on the go. Customer service was pretty good, but I minus 1 star because the front desk didn't tell me all the things that's came with my booking. My company booked it for me so I didn't know what was booked. The 1st week the gal gave me my keys and that was it. I left out of town later that weekend and check back in for the 2nd week. This time the nice older lady gave me the keys, told me about all the services they provide (gym, swimming pool, bistro hours and etc) and told me my rates came with breakfast. She told me I could choose anything off the menu for free!! When I asked her about my same booking the week before, she confirmed my booking included breakfast too!!! I was paying for my coffee and breakfast there everyday!!! I know I could talk to the manager and get a reimbursement for what I spent at the bistro, but I didn't feel like making a big stink especially when I'm tired after work. The management does seem nice there and they did include a personal letter on my room with whom I can contact with any issues. But like I said, too tired to make a stink. I just wanted to go to the room and sleep right after work. Overall, rooms were big and clean. I was comfortable for the 2 weeks there. I had stayed at the Marriott Downtown Providence for 2 weeks the month prior and I like this Courtyard better. The price is cheaper here too! read more

Pros: +Shuttle- free shuttle to the PVD and within 5 miles of the hotel, which provides access to a nice selection of restaurants +Shuttle hours- Actually runs as advertised from 5 am - 12 am +Staff- friendly and helpful +Wifi- free and decent signal + Small exercise room with working equipment Cons: - Location- if you don't have a rental car, your choices are somewhat limited within walking distance to restaurants without taking the shuttle. You are limited to Doherty's Ale House , Dunkin Dounts, or a gas station. I think this has to be one of the nicest courtyards I have stayed in. The staff was very sweet and helpful. They always greeted my mother and I when we walked in. The area is also very clean and well put together. There's a section for lounging and even a computer area if you need to research or print something. I spent a lot of time in the pool and jacuzzi. It was very clean and for the most part empty as well. We had the entire area to ourselves and they stay open late until 11pm. My only problem here was the state of that breakfast. I would recommend not ordering breakfast at the Starbucks because it's pricey and not good at all. I ordered overeasy eggs, when I received it the egg yolk was raw and the egg whites weren't cooked. That is one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to eggs being done right. I really do suggest going to a diner somewhere in the area. read more

Professional welcoming courteous staff in the middle of the night. The rooms were very clean and nice. The beds were sooooo comfortable. I had a kingsize bed and the small round couches with soft pillows were very comfortable to chill on have a snack and watch a nice program on television. Nice little Bistro downstairs and little convenience store by the front desk if you need a quick snack and or beverage. Slept wonderfully and peacefully throughout the night. Nice seating area and place to use the internet in the front lobby while waiting for the other members of my travelling group. read more

Really great, clean comfy hotel. The lobby was beautiful with a very sleek, modern decor. I also loved that there was a small dining area,full bar, and a grab & go snack station. We never woke up early enough for the free breakfast and were never in the hotel to enjoy the light supper -- so it was great to buy things from the snack bar when we were on the run. All of the staff were so pleasant and friendly. One woman greeted us warmly when we arrived and answered all of our questions about the area. She even told us about the best places to visit during our short trip and how to get to Wal-Mart. Our room was great! It smelled nice and clean, and was quite lovely. We didn't watch much television, but there was a very nice, new flat screen there for us. There was also a mini-fridge and microwave, which is always a bonus. We didn't have the problem of paper thin walls either. Even though we were fairly close to the elevator we weren't disturbed by constant dinging, or people moving about. The shower was great too! Hot showers with decent water pressure are hard to come by in hotels, but that one was by far, the best! They also had an area where you could print out your boarding passes for flights so you'd have all of the information you needed when you check out and head to the airport. I was very impressed with that feature. If we ever come back to the area, we will stay at Courtyard by Marriott again. Overall it was a great experience. The only thing that was lacking somewhat was the general area, it is a little removed from everything else, but it made for a very quiet and restful stay! read more

Really like the room decor here! Its not the generic Red/Cream. They had a Light Gray/Yellow theme. I liked that it was difference and had a very clean feel to it. Room was average, the TV always turned onto static, but that not an issue. Friendly staff at Bistro. Front desk had signs warning you about theft in cars. Our car also got scratched up real bad in the lot by another car so park away from other people (life lesson I guess) read more

I continue to be a fan of the Marriott brand. This mid-scale offering has done everything right. When I arrived there were extra pillows, as I had asked for. Today when I asked for a roll-away bed for my daughter it was delivered in minutes. The common areas have been updated and are attractive. On the downside, the new common areas have made the dining area not as suitable for dining. The staff of four or five has been reduced to two. Not good. That cost them one star. Beds are comfortable but not up to the level of the full service Marriott properties. Good towels. Nice LG high definition television. Recommend. read more

Wow, impressed. Was cancelled out of a flight in the PVD airport, and last minute booked in with AAA rate. I happened to get a King room with a whirlpool in the room -- it was clean and working ! The "restaurant" that was there, in the lobby, had a great spinach, mint, feta salad with some mediocre chicken. The salad, for what it was, was freaking great. Drank some wine at high prices and bad taste, but still, for not going anywhere and relaxing right there ? That was super comfortable. Exercise room had 2 working treadmills, some hand weights, an elliptical -- all in good order. Super small "pool", didn't bother with that. Fantastic was the shuttle service -- from and to the PVD airport. Apparently they can also take you locally to nearby mall and restaurants. Marriott, you're doing a good job here. read more

This hotel was great. This was our first visit to RI and they helped to make it enjoyable. The front desk staff was excellent. They actually had preprinted slips with directions to major areas and attractions, malls, zoo etc. When they didn't hap one they map quested and printed directions out for us. Our room was very nice, good sized and well appointed. Thank goodness it had plenty of plugs. The lobby hang out area was really nice and had plenty of comfortable chairs. The pool and hot tub area was quite nice also. The hot tub was VERY hot. All of the staff that I encountered were friendly and seemed happy to be there. The second night I was there I asked the front desk clerk Heather if the sold milk in their store area she said they didn't but they would probably have it at the cafe. I told her I wanted to try out the coffee syrup I had just bought, I had never had "coffee milk" she stopped what she was doing and said " I will just go get you some milk, you HAVE to try it!" She went to the cafe and brought me an ice cold cup of milk. That's what I call service! Heather , you AND the coffee milk made my first trip to Rhode Island awesome. This is my first morning here and it is pretty good! They should expand the breakfast time to around 11:00am, and also extend the Starbucks menu to the full menu you can get at actually Starbucks locations. 9/10 recommend. As a former employee of the Marriott corporation I usually pick Marriotts as my favorite place to stay. From my experience, they treat their employees extremely well and that has always stuck with me. They strive to have the best customer service and I have never been disappointed. This time wasn't its usual five-star rating, but still a four-star rating. We were greeted by a guy wearing a fleece pull-over. If it didn't say Marriott Courtyard on it I wouldn't have been sure he worked there. We had booked one of their packages. We got the room, two tickets to the Rising Star Comedy Club, and breakfast for two. After we were checked in we asked if we needed to book the reservation with him for the comedy club. He told us everything would be in the room. It wasn't, so we went back down to the front desk. This time it was a girl, she was a lot nicer and more helpful. But she also didn't really know how the package thing worked. She definitely was professional about finding out for us and gave us the form we needed to fill out. She asked us if we wanted her to slip our breakfast tickets under the door. We said yes and thanked her. But when we came back there weren't any tickets under our door, so the next morning we had to go back to the front desk and ask for them. She had them ready for us, but never apologized for forgetting to put them under the door. No big deal, especially because I think that she must have been working a double shift, but a simple apology would have been nice. The breakfast was okay. Kind of greasy and they kept running out of stuff. Granted there was a large group of teenaged cheerleaders staying there, but it was kind of a bummer for us other guests. We were checked out by another girl who was super-friendly. She printed us directions to the spa we were going to and made small talk with us. The Marriott should be grateful for both of the front desk girls because I overheard one of them say that she was responsible for cleaning the lower level rooms the following day. I also saw both of them help clean up after the breakfast. Now that's teamwork! I will definitely continue to stay at Marriotts. I love their super comfy beds. I wish I could afford to buy one! read more

I was looking to book a room in order to attend my cousin's wedding. All the hotels near the reception were booked and EXPENSIVE. The day before our RSVP was due I came across Courtyard Marriott. I read the Yelp reviews, liked the price and location and booked our room immediately. So glad we did. We were arriving earlier then we planned and checked in online with fingers crossed. When we got to the hotel, Melissa at the front desk happily said your room is ready. We dropped our stuff off in a very spacious and clean room and hit the road. We will definitely be staying here again and looking for other Courtyard Marriotts in our future travels. read more

Explained how excited I was to climb into the spa when I checked in. Three hours later, my eight year old son and I went down to get in the pool/spa only to find it has been closed since we've checked in????????? Apparently some incident occurred there in the past few hours. But the brainiac at the front desk told me it will probably be reopened in the morning. Because what traveler doesn't look forward to a pre-breakkfast soak in the hot tub? Thanks a lot Marriott for telling me to call back in the morning to see if the pool's re-opened. Terrific hotel! As a road warrior this hotel ranks at the top of my list. As a long term guest (over a year), the staff has been amazing. Lauren, Hiedi, and Lynn great everyone with a smile. The maintenance staff headed by the awesome Roy gave me a ride to and from airport each week. The bistro was headed by Kelly in the evenings and served up great eats.
