We booked this hotel for a weekend because it was in a convenient location. It's located in The Centre of New England plaza which has a variety of stores and restaurants such as Applebee's and Walmart. It's located in Coventry so it's centrally located in the state. There were plenty of parking but it does get packed in the evening. The front desk was friendly and I love that they had free hot coffee at all hours. The lobby was spacious and clean and the daily breakfast was pretty good. We were able to make our own waffles and there were a variety of food and drinks to choose from. The attendant was also super nice. The pool was clean and hot tub was warm. They did have to keep filling the towels up since it's a busy evening. At one point, we were left with no towels. The room was standard and clean. The bed and pillows were comfy. I took 2 stars off because the shower got lukewarm at best, but mostly it was cool water temperature. The hallways were quiet and I didn't hear my neighbors. Overall, a decent hotel that's budget and family friendly. I would stay there again but I would make sure the shower temperature was good next time. read more

If I could give this "hotel" zero stars I would. The only perk is being off 95. We stayed here for one night as part of a staycation to enjoy a night away and the pool with my brother and his family. Check in is 3. Our room was not ready. The front desk gave us a different room. Not the end of the world. My brothers room was not ready until 5, two hours after the alleged check in time. When we called down to see if the room was ready at 4:45, the girl at the desk was incredibly rude and made him go back to show his id even though he did that at check in at 3pm with the "manager." The hallway was at a minimum 80 degrees and humid. Went to put my daughter to bed in the pull out sofa. No pillows for it and best of all ZERO bedding on it. Thankfully I brought a blanket she sleeps with and she had that. But zero sheets or anything to have between her and a mattress protector. Best of all this FABULOUS experience only cost the low price of $370. This is the WORST "hotel" I have ever stayed in. And I would not ever ever recommend someone stay here. read more

This place was a saving Grace. I left the Holiday Inn up the road in tears, after 20 minutes of being there- I requested a refund. When I stumbled into the Hampton, Tiffany greeted me with a welcoming smile. She listened to what I had just been through and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. The rooms were nice, clean, comfortable. The staff was professional and friendly. As for all Hampton locations, not excluding this one, breakfast is subpar but still the best complimentary breakfast and better than none. The eggs, potatoes and meat are always iffy. Oatmeal, waffles and cereal is a safe bet. All in all I'm so thankful this place was near by. I had to work in 3 hours and had nothing but issues until I strolled in there. read more

We had a bad storm a few days ago and had no power for almost 3 days. We called the Hampton Inn and they got us a room right away so that we could be warm and cozy. We had a wonderful 2 week stay because the workers are very pleasant people and you feel welcomed. I realized that a great environment is due to having great management. I met the manager Kayla and thanked her for a truly well run hotel. The staff, including the registration workers, Jordan, Adam, Kayla, and others, are great and pleasant. Even the cleaning staff on my floor were so sweet and accommodating to include Emma and her daughter, who has worked there many years. Breakfast was always great with a nice variety from cereals, fruits, yogurts, eggs, and waffles, along with the ladies working in there. One morning, while having breakfast, the maintenance worker took the time to walk by and greet us and said, "Hope you have a wonderful morning". Honestly, this is a cohesive staff and well run, clean place. Gets 5 stars from us. This will be my pick next time I visit Rhode Island. read more

Very nice hotel with wonderful staff. Check in went smoothly with no issues, got our key cards and was greeted nicely. We asked questions and they answered it. Everything in this hotel is clean and they leave you nice products to use. I can't really comment much about staff because everything is self explanatory. The pool is located on the first floor and there are no life guards on duty. It's swim at your own risk so be careful with children. The pool is 3-5 feet deep and they also have a hot tub which is really hot like a sauna. The pool is not a heated pool, the water is really cold but the room is warming due to the temps of the hot tub. Pool hours are from 5am-11pm but they will keep it open later for you if you arrive late. We stayed until 12:30am our first night. Breakfast is offered every morning from 6am-10am and its all you can eat and FREE. The food is good and they have tasty selections. You have a variety of Yogurt, fruits, juice, pastries, muffins, bagels, plain oatmeal with toppings on the side for your liking. They also have 2 wonderful waffle makers with homemade bater that you pour into a cup. They have a microwave, juice machine, toaster oven for bagels, breads and English muffins. The area has a nice shopping mall very close by and plenty of places like Wendy's, Applebee's, Mc Donald's to grab a quick bite to eat. We drove here from NYC so we didn't need to use an airplane (obviously) lol. The reason I did not rate it 5 stars is because our stay was basic. We had to inform housekeeping to keep our room clean while we were gone, 2 times. They did surprise us with a microwave and refrigerator the next day as we asked for one downstairs. Overall my stay here was pleasant and I will recommend this stay to anyone. I can't wait to come back and visit. read more

Boating and Relaxin. A weekend in Newport RI was my plan. I decided to stay at the Hampton Inn Coventry/Warwick for the rates for the weekend, the drive to Newport was a bit long, about 45 minutes, but I enjoy driving so this was not a big deal for me. I did a digital check in the night before from home so check in was a breeze, I just walked in and gave my name at the front desk and my room key card was all ready for me and I was off to my room. Entering the room was comforting, I had a long work day and a long drive. I had a King bed, 1 bedroom suite. The room was a nice comfortable temperature. Everything was sparkling clean and very inviting. Dinner was my first course of action for the evening and after a long work day a hot shower was in order. The bathroom was as clean, as were the towels and cloths. A collection of soaps and a hair drier. rounded out the bathroom supplies. The room had two televisions, one in the bedroom and one in the main room. Both with local programing and a collection of on demand movies. The kitchenette had a mini-fridge a microwave and a coffee maker with a collection of coffees. The room itself was very spacious with a work desk and chair, a couch, an arm chair with mini table. When I am on a weekend trip I like to keep in touch with my friends via skype, so a stable and fast internet connection is a must for me. Hampton Inn supplied me with my needed WIFI. I found the connection stable and fast throughout the entire weekend. The bed was comfortable and clean. The room darkening blinds did their job well and kept out any outside light as well as the morning sunlight, allowing me to sleep in a bit. I heard no outside sounds even in the quietest part of the night. Morning came with a complimentary continental breakfast. I opted for the oatmeal and a bagel. There was also scrambled eggs with bacon and home fries. A waffle station for making your own waffles is available. A collection of cold cereals, a toaster and a wide selection of breads, fresh fruits and juices and breakfast pastries round out the choices available for your breakfast indulgence. There is also a 24 hour hot beverage station available that includes hot coffee in three varieties, regular, dark roast and decaf, as well as a collection of teas and all the compliments for your hot beverage choice. Returning to my room after my days adventures was as welcoming as when I first entered the room. Everything had been refreshed, the bed was freshly made and any items that I had used during my first night had been refilled. Check out was just as easy as checking in. A visit to the front desk to turn over my key cards and a receipt printed off for me and I was on the road for my drive home. I am highly allergic to some types of dogs. When we walked into the room, it reeked of a wet dog smell. I called the front desk and was told that our only option was to move to a king room even though it was early in the evening and I am sure not all of the people had checked in. I told her I was a Diamond member and that did not seem to matter. Within an hour of being in the room my eyes are already swollen and I am miserable. The hotel is old and outdated. The elevators also smell like dogs. I was told that they allow dogs in all rooms so if you have an allergy, you may want to consider staying somewhere else. I've stayed at more than a handful of Hampton Inns in my life, with a recent uptick due to business travel. This particular stay was personal travel, but I booked the Hampton anyway because let's face it: I'm a sucker for Hilton points and the price was pretty reasonable. Normally a Hampton is a Hampton, but I found this particular facility to be especially clean, nice, and well outfitted. It appeared to be either very new or recently renovated and had the finer touches (such as an actual thermostat instead of a hi/med/low window unit) that really made me take notice. I attended an event and spent 2 nights here recently. I have always liked the Hampton Inn and have stayed in a few in other states over the years. I like the consistency of the management and also the convenience. They have a breakfast area that has coffee, tea and hot cocoa all day. They have cookies out in the afternoon and also a breakfast buffet in the morning. I have to comment on the cleanliness of the rooms. Clearly they were watching the Today show where they do the undercover shows on how clean hotels are. They had all concerns covered. They had disposable wrapped cups in the bathrooms and attached to the remote control was a sanitizing wipe. There is also had sanitizer outside of the gym, public restrooms and outside the kitchen area. This attention to detail will definitely stick with me and I will be more apt to choose the Hampton Inn when travelling in the future. read more

My wife and I chose this particular Hampton Inn on price - a fantastic low weekend rate on 9/26 and 9/27, 2009. As usual, this Hampton Inn meets our high standards for Hilton family hotel brands. A big plus is as of this writing, this particular location still offers smoking rooms, which is becoming more and more rare. Everything is fantastic - the hotel is clean, well maintained, all of the usual amenities you'd expect, and the wi-fi signal is strong in our room, #322. The only downside is there's no refrigerator in the room, but that's a trivial inconvenience given the niceness of the entire offering. read more

Absolutely loved this hotel.. Continental breakfast was more than what we asked for.. The room was exceptionally clean esp the bathroom which was a plus! We got the king room it came with tv microwave and refrigerator.. One thing tho that I might add was that the pool was very clean but the hot tub could of been cleaned a little more.. It was also extremely hot in there so I would suggest they lower the heat a little bit because someone coming out of that hot tub could get a heat stroke.. My boyfriend and I took a road trip for a quick get away. After driving for over 5 hours we searched for a hotel to spend the night. There was quite a few other options close by, I am very happy we decided on this one. The red headed woman (wish I got her name) was very pleasant, made us feel welcomed and right at home. For a very reasonable price we got a king sized bed, smoking room, access to a pool and hot tub (which was a surprise for us, we didn't have any swim ware packed but no worries, there's a wal mart less then a mile down the road) We went to Apple bees which was also in the same plaza, as well as plenty of other fast food and sit down restaurants. If we are ever in RI again we will be sure to stop here for our stay. Thank you guys. read more

Very impressed with this hotel. My o my issue is that the pool area is extremely slippery and dangerous. My child has had at least 4 big wipeouts and she wasn't even running. I've seen at least 5-6 other children slip and fall. Other than that, I'm impressed with how clean and nice the rooms are (we had two adjoining), service is great... oh but drinks (soda, water) are very pricey. read more

Bad timing - overcrowded We were driving in from Cape Cod and got to the hotel about 10pm. We walked into the lobby and it was packed with little kids running around and pizza being brought in. Supposedly there was two parties or something like that. We also hear there were some flight cancelled so the hotel was fully packed. Our room was nothing worth mentioning. I think we didn't have enough towels for everyone but didn't even bother trying to get more with all the hotel staff already so busy. With the parties going on in the lobby so late, there were a lot of traffic in the hall way and not so quiet people. Breakfast was horrible with so many people; as soon as something was brought out, it was wiped out. On top of that, the computer system was down in the morning when we tried to check out......Aye, I think we will try to stay somewhere not so lose to the airport next time. read more

I really liked this Hampton Inn. It was clean and the staff was plesant. My room was spacious - not much of a view since there is only a Cracker Barrel nearby but thats ok because I love Cracker Barrel. The breakfast in the morning was good - average things, cereal, muffins, waffles, eggs, toast but the warm items were warm and the cold items were cold so thats a plus. I wasn't familiar with the location too much but chose this hotel as the price was right... I little far out from Providence and Newport but not too bad. I would stay here again for sure. read more

Perfectly good hotel for a night or two (or even longer); all the convenient amenities including free in-room wifi, refrigerator, hairdryer; even an indoor pool, fitness room, and business center (we didn't use any of those three facilities so can't comment on them). Good service; the toilet in our room backed up, and someone was up to fix it and clean up promptly. Included breakfast sported more variety than I'm used to seeing in a hotel in this class, and the coffee available 24/7 in the lobby is surprisingly good rather than just "acceptable" as I've found elsewhere. Ice water is available gratis as soon as you enter the lobby, too - a nice touch. Minor complaint: sheets and comforter seemed a little too small for the mattresses; I suspect they may be bedding purchased before the hotel installed pillow-top mattresses and so did not fit well: the sheets came off the edges of the mattress while we were sleeping. Not a deal-breaker, though, for this otherwise spotlessly clean, conveniently-located, reasonably-priced hotel (about $110 total, including tax, on a Saturday night in June, AARP rate). read more

Last morning we were up at 4am to catch a flight and the staff opened up the breakfast room and started coffee and brought out cold milk so we could have breakfast. We travel a lot and this is the first time a hotel has done that for us. Excellent service and love the cookies! read more

This hotel was absolutely not a place I'd stay again. The staff was not courteous. We went down to the pool to take kids swimming & there were no towels anywhere. Hub's went to front desk to ask for towels lady was rude and said they were drying but never said how long. I went back about 45 min later and the girl said there were still none. I mean this is ridiculous it's a Friday night and your hotel has no clean towels! So now we've got 4 kids walking back up to our hotel room dripping wet in a freezing corridor. And to begin with there were only 2 towels in the room which we used prior to going in the pool. I've never been so dissatisfied with customer service in my life. On top of there being no towels there were also no coffee cups for the so called complimentary coffee. I mean if you're going to charge $160 a night plus tax the minimum you should be able to provide is clean towels and styrofoam cups. Save yourself the aggravation and stay at the Residence Inn a few buildings down and have a full kitchenette in your room as well as a living area so if you want to put kids to bed you and your friends can stay up play cards or watch Netflix while the kids get a good night's rest. Won't be staying here again unless they offer an outstanding deal. read more

Nice and clean pool, hot tub and workout room. Breakfast was abundant and good, but very crowded 10-11. I recommend going early or taking it back to your room. I stayed one night on Saturday December 18th. Check-in was friendly and fast, room was clean. The only thing that bothered me a bit was the alarm clock was dusty. the complimentary breakfast was great, loved the waffle making station!
