ShaynaLynn ..

Not too pleased.. lovely place as always/ been to weddings , corporate events and other functions here and loved it but this was not one of my favorites. Unfortunately my experience was not what i expected. It started at 11am.. we didn't get in until 11:50.. and we had purchased VIP (which in the VIP area once we finally got in, was not served any drinks that were promised and others had before our arrival.. my two friends and I ALL had different items in our "swag bags" missing items but it wasn't a big deal to mention on scene) Hyped this event up a lot more than it was.. not as many vendors as I expected .. the ones there were great but for a woman's expo they probably should have timed down on the home improvement tables.. but we didn't purchase a decent amount from the tables we loved, jewelry, sons vodka, Edgewood cheese , air and anchor, martucci group, I was pleased to buy soaps lotions and sprays from the magnesium group.. But overall I really expected more. Connie (contstance stowers) was amazing as always, she killed it ! Please follower her if you don't already!!

My stay here was pretty good, but I had the unfortunate luck to stay when some youth hockey (I think) team stayed. The hotel did thoughtfully put signs about quiet hours, but kids really have to talk at full volume walking down the hallway late into the night. I hope those kids lost! So the rooms definitely aren't soundproof, but it was clean and comfortable. There is breakfast but you have to prebuy it when booking or pay on arrival (before is cheaper). The pool is okay but small. The gym is unfortunately attached to the pool and subject to its limited hours when most hotel gyms are 24/7. There is plenty of parking, and this site has a lot of rooms and hosts events, so it may be a bit of a hike sometimes and elevators are a bit slow. Otherwise I had a good stay, and even better when those noisy kids left.

Showed up for what I thought was going to be a peaceful getaway only to see this.

I showed up here excited to have a relaxing and peaceful getaway. Instead, I walked into a lobby filled with at least five dozen children screaming, yelling, and racing all around with hockey sticks. I looked up to see a giant sign that said "Welcome Teams!" and knew this was not going to be the calm weekend that I had planned. When I got to the counter, I had to practically scream for the receptionist to hear me, because the room was full of screaming kids. She was extremely nice and told me that the quiet zone room I had reserved wouldn't be available because every single floor was booked with kids sportsball teams. While I canceled my stay, at least three other people who were staying at the hotel came down to complain about the shrieking kids everywhere. As I walked out, another half dozen kids came running in through the out door. I thought this would be a more upscale hotel, but it's more like a place that hosts big events. Not upscale at all. Seems more oriented toward families, but on the website it gives the false impression of a quiet resort-type vibe. For the price, it should be. Ruined my whole weekend and created a massive hassle.

We had a great stay. Very clean. The only convention was a veterans convention. They upgraded us because of our IHG status which was a plus! I've noticed some IHG don't do that and they suppose too! Pleasant staff!

Ask the Community - Crowne Plaza Providence-Warwick

Is there a self-service laundry room? (coin operated washers/dryers)

Does this place have a pool? I've seen some mention of it but no pictures, which is strange.

I believe so and it's indoors. I never used it, but have seen it

No significant complaints regarding cleanliness, but it was starting to show its age, particularly in the bathroom edges, door frame, etc. The main living space such as the bed, counters, fridge, etc. seemed clean, and the towels were nice. The lobby and breakfast area was big, bright, open and clean, and as noted the breakfast seemed much better than what I'm used to at similar hotels. The gym is small considering the amount of space they dedicated to conference rooms and the lobby, but seemed to have some decent equipment in it. The pool was small and didn't seem particularly well-maintained. Water definitely needed a refresh, but it's wet, and that seemed good enough for some of the kids staying there. The parking lot uncovered, but massive, which is nice. They were struggling with ice control in a couple spots, but those areas were flagged and overall it was well-maintained. Fringe benefit - you're VERY close to a solid brewery. About 1/2 a mile. Walkable if you're so inclined, but it's a bit of a challenge due to fences. Very quick drive. Leave via the parking lot entrance on the restaurant side, turn left, stay on that street until you turn left just before the field of solar panels...

Let's break it down on the Rick Scale: Value: Very reasonably priced. 5/5 Room: Good size with plenty of storage, decent sized bathroom and comfortable bed. 5/5 Hospitality: Front desk was super accommodating and nice. Rest of the staff seems very happy to help you. 5/5 Housekeeping: Not the cleanest Garden Inn that I have stayed at. Could use some TLC. 3/5 Maintenance: This hotel is starting to show its age. From noisy HVAC systems to little defects in the furniture, it's all starting to show. The carpet in the rooms and hallway need to be replaced asap. It gives a strong musty odor. 2/5 Restaurant: Great selection of food and drink. It's not a typical Garden Inn restaurant but rather an actual bar joined to the hotel via a hallway in which you'd need your room key to re-enter the hotel. Overall it's a great place; close to the airport if I'm traveling through for work, it does the job well but really needs an update for the rooms. I stay here often and I notice it's slowly declining in quality.

Disappointing Stay: Avoid this hotel if you value service and quality…read more As a tourism industry professional with over 13 years of experience, I know what good service looks like. Unfortunately, my experience at The Loom Hotel (Tapestry by Hilton) was profoundly disappointing. I traveled from California for a wedding hosted here, and I strongly advise potential guests to look elsewhere. The Service Failures: Front Desk Professionalism: The level of incompetence and rudeness is alarming. The morning front desk staff (specifically the receptionist with glasses) was dismissive, refused to make eye contact during check-in, and openly complained about answering phones--completely unprofessional. When we inquired about a room pre-arranged by the bride's mother, the response was blunt and dismissive without any attempt to assist or verify the reservation. Hostile Late-Night Staff: The experience on Saturday night was worse. After a technical issue with my key card, I was met with condescending remarks and aggressive shouting from the night-shift receptionist rather than assistance. Hearing her complain about me & others while I stood in the lobby was beyond unprofessional. This is not the standard of service one expects from a Hilton property. Hotel Standards: Housekeeping: Housekeeping standards are nonexistent. Beds were not made daily, and trash was left in our room. It is baffling that this hotel holds any "best of" status when basic cleanliness is overlooked. Dining: The breakfast was inedible, featuring what tasted like low-quality powdered eggs. The only highlight was the kind waitress who spoke Spanish; her professionalism was the only thing that made the meal tolerable. The hotel's rates do not reflect the abysmal quality of service and facilities provided. If you value your money and expect professional treatment, stay away from this property.

If it would let me give a zero I would. This was absolutely my worst experience by far in a hotel…read more Not only did we have to switch rooms three times because the first two were filthy but the third one was just as bad. The only thing it had going for it was, it was the only bathroom out of the three that the floor tiles weren't all broken. The lovely room that we had to settle on, because it was 11 o'clock at night, may have been worse than the first two. It came with not one, but two mouse traps. The floors were filthy and disgusting clearly again not vacuumed. The floors were so bad. I had to wash my feet in the morning before I put my socks on. You could visibly see the dirt discolor the water in the bathtub when I did so. The surfaces had not been fully wiped. There were foot-long black hairs all over the bathroom floor clearly not mine since I have a very short haircut. I'll have to come back to finish this

Water builds up in the tub and doesn't drain properly. You lose water pressure if the shower is over 5 minutes. Toilet doesn't flush very well. Handicap bar cover wasn't attached properly. Solid breakfast in the morning. Very nice front desk. Overall lobby and eating area was well taken care of. Price was expensive because it was memorial day weekend. Kind of to be expected though.
