It was fine I guess. I'll start with the good stuff! The room was nice, the employees were friendly, and it was very clean. The bed was comfortable--not super hard like some places, and the bathroom had more space than a lot of hotel bathrooms do. However there were a few not so hot things as well We got a room on the quiet floor, and there happened to be a venue right outside which was hosting (what seemed to be) a concert. They blasted music from around 9pm-11pm, and the room was genuinely vibrating. I have noise sensitivity and got a throbbing headache as well, which sucked. Obviously the hotel can't just cancel the concert, but it would've been nice to get a "hey just so you know there will be a loud concert tonight on these days" because we had to get up early the following day and just finished a 6+ hour car ride. Was here for work and when I arrived I was super tired and was so happy I had a nice ,clean, and spacious room to stay in. The first thing I noticed when I entered the lobby and was greeted by a friendly hotel employee, was his accent. It was more Boston than any Boston accent I have ever encounter in Boston! As a west coast guy, I definitely appreciated this, I LOVED it. If I'm ever in the area again, i would have no problem staying here again. read more

Front desk assistant manager Bim was rude and not very customer friendly. I recommend putting a better first impression person at the front.

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are very comfortable, beyond that, I cannot recommend this place. The Internet absolutely sucks. It loses connection every 30 seconds and you can't get reconnected. This seriously affects us business customers who need to connect to the home office. (Yes, I am an IHG member, but that didn't even help.) As for the TV entertainment, only half the channels work. In regards to other reviewers talking about kids and teens running around, it's very true. Kids are everywhere and are very loud. Lastly, the Whiskey bar wasn't even open, even though it was advertised as being open. UPDATE: The Internet connection problem seems to be an issue on the floor I'm on. The Internet in the lobby is working, so I guess I'll have to work down there. read more

Overall the place was pretty nice. The check in process was simple and quick. The lobby can be entered through multiple doors depending on where you parked. The room was clean and housekeeping did an amazing job during my stay. The one thing I didn't like was the room didn't have a microwave, so you had to travel to one of the other designated floors and use the microwave that was at the end of the floor. It just felt awkward and uncomfortable. I'd stay again if needed. read more

Crowne Plaza is a large hotel located in Warwick, RI. It's in a central location near TF Green airport, Warwick Mall, Providence, Newport, and highways. There are large meeting spaces and they're known to hosts many events. The parking lot was huge and complimentary; there is one electric vehicle charging spot. The amenities include, indoor pool, fitness center, restaurant, bar, coffee shop, and shuttle service. I've been to many events over the years there, including a New Year's Eve party and a wedding. The space is clean and modern. My family and I stayed there recently. The room was nice. We had a king bed, a chair, large TV, desk, Keurig machine, and decent bathroom. The bed was comfy and the pillows were great and firm. I've been to many hotels where the pillows are just limp and flat. The room was quiet and I didn't hear my neighbors. Unfortunately, there was some sort of youth sports conference event the weekend we went and the pool was packed everyday with tweens. Needless to say, we didn't get to swim in the pool. Overall, we did have a nice stay and would definitely stay there again. read more

This review is for event/banquet - not a stay. We recently hosted a business event. The ballroom is freshly redone and very nice! It's much brighter than the darker aesthetics of the past. The two people I worked with to organize the event were really thorough and attentive. Not a stone left unturned. I will definitely consider booking events at this venue again in the future. The bottom line - the venue itself is very nice, the food is very good, the waitstaff was great and the pricing was very competitive. If you choose this venue, ensure you have everything written down in the contract. Ensure you have someone as your designated "representative" the day of the wedding (e.g., wedding planner, maid of honor, mother, best man, etc.) and make it clear to the staff they are speaking for you that way you do not have your day disrupted with any concerns or issues. The wedding went well and, due the efforts of our wedding planner, we had no idea there were any issues whatsoever and neither did our guests. We had our wedding at the Crowne Plaza late last month and had mixed results. The Atrium room where we held the reception was very nice, bright and open. The ceremony was held outside on the patio and worked out fine though the traffic noise could be a challenge. Like most wedding venues, they try to nickel and dime you to death and the cost of somethings is as crazy as at any other venue. But relatively speaking, their prices were very competitive. The wedding representative, Kristy, was difficult to work with, talked down to our wedding planner and tried to keep her out of our communications. Due to this we made sure everything was in the contract. The walk through the day before went well, everything was confirmed. The day of the wedding the staff argued with our wedding planner about the location of the photo booth due to the tables (turns out the hotel put the tables there without anyone's knowledge or request) being used were too close to an exit. The ceremony went well, the appetizers were great as was the rest of the food and the reception in general was great. The service folks were attentive, friendly and helpful. Thankfully, we had a wedding planner who (we found out later) took care of a few issues. They initially refused to light the fire tables saying it was not in the contract. Our wedding planner had a copy of the contract and had to show them. They still had to find their copy and then had to call an "engineer" to light the tables. We had a cash limit on the open bar and asked them to let us know when we came within $500 of it so we could determine if we wanted to extend it. They did not tell us and started charging people for drinks. We had the room until 11, they turned the lights on at 10:30 and started pushing people out the door saying they had to get ready for another event (there was no other event scheduled). The temperature was frigid and when asked about it by multiple guests and our wedding planner they did nothing to address it. A couple of days after the wedding, the hotel's wedding person (Kristy) sent an email saying they forgot to charge us for something and we owed them more money. I had already been preparing a complaint to her about the issues and this added to it. She denied everything and blamed some of it on our wedding planner. The issue eventually got escalated and their director of Catering Sales (Nicole) stepped in and determined everything we brought up had occurred and she did everything possible to make amends which we greatly appreciated. read more

Not too pleased.. lovely place as always/ been to weddings , corporate events and other functions here and loved it but this was not one of my favorites. Unfortunately my experience was not what i expected. It started at 11am.. we didn't get in until 11:50.. and we had purchased VIP (which in the VIP area once we finally got in, was not served any drinks that were promised and others had before our arrival.. my two friends and I ALL had different items in our "swag bags" missing items but it wasn't a big deal to mention on scene) Hyped this event up a lot more than it was.. not as many vendors as I expected .. the ones there were great but for a woman's expo they probably should have timed down on the home improvement tables.. but we didn't purchase a decent amount from the tables we loved, jewelry, sons vodka, Edgewood cheese , air and anchor, martucci group, I was pleased to buy soaps lotions and sprays from the magnesium group.. Check in is 3 pm arrived at 430 . Person at desk couldn't find a room for us. Reservations were made in June and confirmed. Manager called, he rearranged a few things . 20 minutes later we had a room. We prepaid in June for 2 nights. We brought some of our luggage in , went to go back to the car , elevator button not working . You had to go up in the elevator 1st to go to the lobby or take the stairs . When being assigned a room the manager stated he gave us a room away from the kids that were there for a baseball championship. There were kids running up and down the halls . As I'm getting ready to go out for the evening , there is a knock at my door , a hotel representative is there telling me I was suppose to checkout. Told him we had reservations for 2 nights. He said he would extend our stay . Morning comes . Going for breakfast . Hallway stinks and there is a 1/2 full bottle of vodka in the hallway. Housekeeping ladies also in the hallway. No one picked it up. Go for breakfast . Ordered a Nan bread breakfast sandwich. Waited 15 minutes to be served a breakfast pizza. The ladies in the restaurant were very apologetic and did comp our breakfast. Back to the room to check out we have a bill for over $200 ! We had prepaid. We go to the desk ask for the manager . She won't be back for20 minutes. The person at the desk was confrontational and not helpful at all. He basically stalled until the manger arrived. Then I find out I was not only charged $200+ but a separate $481 for the 2 original nights. She apologized (of course ) and credits my account but that won't show for 3 days . Total over $700 they tried to steal from me !!!!!!! Let alone the time loss and anxiety they caused. read more

My stay here was pretty good, but I had the unfortunate luck to stay when some youth hockey (I think) team stayed. The hotel did thoughtfully put signs about quiet hours, but kids really have to talk at full volume walking down the hallway late into the night. I hope those kids lost! So the rooms definitely aren't soundproof, but it was clean and comfortable. There is breakfast but you have to prebuy it when booking or pay on arrival (before is cheaper). The pool is okay but small. The gym is unfortunately attached to the pool and subject to its limited hours when most hotel gyms are 24/7. There is plenty of parking, and this site has a lot of rooms and hosts events, so it may be a bit of a hike sometimes and elevators are a bit slow. Otherwise I had a good stay, and even better when those noisy kids left. read more

I was really confused by this hotel. Not sure if I like it or hate it. The hotel looks new and refreshed, but the ball rooms are old and gloomy. The rooms are nice and the beds are comfy. The room had ants. The front desk when I was checking in had one person and he was on the phone helping someone trying to book a room while we just stood there. Finally someone else came out and they were very helpful and very nice. But they should ask the people on the phone to hold. The restaurant was very good. It had good food. Service was just ok. Bartender was so slow. Parking was easy, there is a huge lot. I would stay there again if I had a conference, but I would not if I didn't have a reason to be there. read more

The hotel is a nice hotel. Very well kept. Modern and the beds are extremely comfortable. Overall the experience wasn't terrible besides a couple of things.... My room had no heat and it was like pulling teeth to get it fixed and to get compensated properly for the inconvenience. Our shower also didn't have hot water and it barely drained. The manager, Jon is one of the rudest, most unhelpful people I have ever encountered. I was not the only person he was rude to during this stay either. I showed up here excited to have a relaxing and peaceful getaway. Instead, I walked into a lobby filled with at least five dozen children screaming, yelling, and racing all around with hockey sticks. I looked up to see a giant sign that said "Welcome Teams!" and knew this was not going to be the calm weekend that I had planned. When I got to the counter, I had to practically scream for the receptionist to hear me, because the room was full of screaming kids. She was extremely nice and told me that the quiet zone room I had reserved wouldn't be available because every single floor was booked with kids sportsball teams. While I canceled my stay, at least three other people who were staying at the hotel came down to complain about the shrieking kids everywhere. As I walked out, another half dozen kids came running in through the out door. I thought this would be a more upscale hotel, but it's more like a place that hosts big events. Not upscale at all. Seems more oriented toward families, but on the website it gives the false impression of a quiet resort-type vibe. For the price, it should be. We were out of town for eight nights and this hotel blew them all away by a mile. Everything was new, they struggled to find us a room because of some convention in town but they did. The price was fair. No bs, no hassle, free parking, room was perfect, quiet, great mattress and pillow, good water pressure, just everything. Super happy to endorse them. I hate to give this hotel 3 stars, because the room was a 4-5 star room, but the housekeeping (or lack of) warrants it. Pros: -My boyfriend is IHG Platinum (he has their credit card) so we were upgraded to a premium room, which included a balcony (but no chairs...) and a bathroom with double sinks -Bed was very, very comfortable -Very large room -TV had a Chromecast-type feature - for example, as I'm typing this on our last night here, I'm watching a Netflix show on it that I casted from my phone. -Easy check-in -Fast customer service... usually. See below. -Nice-looking pool but we didn't have time to use it. Cons: -Balcony door did not lock. We called the front desk as soon as we got into the room and they immediately got someone up to fix it, so we didn't have to change rooms -We literally asked three times for housekeeping. Apparently they aren't doing housekeeping unless you ask, and it's a "room refresh" (aka taking out the trash, getting new towels, etc) which would have definitely been fine. When we left today we asked the front desk if we could have it, and they said yes; five hours later, we arrived back and no refresh. After 5 days here this was a problem because we needed the trash out and some new towels. Yesterday, we asked for a refresh after 9am and at 815am someone arrived at the door; I asked them to come back and they never did, so later we had to ask for extra TP, as we were running out. -No free breakfast but there is a restaurant on-site... I believe it's only open for dinner but don't quote me on that. -Literally right after I finished writing this review, the power went out in our room, around 1245am. My boyfriend went to the lobby to see what was up and half of our hall had power and so did the lobby. It came back on around 115am but that's the first time that's happened to me in a hotel before (no backup power or generator??). Unfortunately the housekeeping is why I'm giving this hotel 3 stars instead of 4. Luckily we brought our own shampoo and conditioner - the products they give are nice but tiny. The rooms are great, as I mentioned, but having to ask 2-3 times and never having the room "refreshed" warrants an extra star deducted, in my opinion. read more

This is a very busy hotel. They have many venues to host several events at the same time. We were just there to sleep over night for a business trip. 1st I must mention that while it's called Crowne plaza Providence, it is not in Providence. It is actually by Rhode Island standards rather far from Providence. Depending on the traffic it could take a half an hour to get into Providence. Without traffic maybe 15 minutes. It is very conveniently located right off of 95 one exit South of the airport. We knew we were going to be far, but somebody choosing this hotel, thinking that it's actually in Providence as its name suggests, will be disappointed. But as I said, the room is very nice. The five-star rating is for a very very nice room. It was a large room with a large bathroom lots of closets king size bed and very comfortable. No complaints. read more

Had our annual car club event here and I was impressed by the facilities. I've never seen a parking lot big enough to not just host a car show, but to put on a car control clinic (without light medians). I'm stuck between a 3.5 star and 4 so I'll give the extra half due to relationship with the staff. I was there for a wedding. The check in went somewhat smoothly although there were some glitches. My rooms were supposed to be part of a block reservation but it seemed as though we were scattered about. At no point was an adjoining room offered to to me so points off for that. Most hotels offer a complimentary continental breakfast, not here. Just for asking I was given meal coupons. So the rooms were spacious well maintained and above all clean and thankfully no hidden cameras! Parking is more than ample. The location of the hotel in relation to highways and airport was perfect. Now onto the reason for my stay, a wedding. The day before the wedding was a rehearsal. On that day it rained very hard. Jokingly I had said to the matre de "$5 the roof collapses in 10 minutes". Funny thing upon leaving the room the ceiling was leaking above where both tables and the DJ were to be set up....not really funny. The day of the wedding all went fairly well. A shout out to Lil the wedding coordinator for keeping things moving along smoothly. Since cooking is a passion of mine I am very critical. Knowing how difficult it is to prepare for a large audience I will give some leeway but not when it comes to salt.....too much. On a lighter note the staff was good but very quick to take food away. One guest had just gotten up from the table and his Caprese salad was removed before they had a bite, no questions just gone...poof! Same thing happened with the main course. Going back to me being a cook, I was tasked with making the dessert. The kitchen staff butchered it! Boo hoo! Still tasted great! Overall the experience was okay. Tonight wasn't the strongest day at the Crowne Plaza. Alfred Carpionto is rolling over in his grave. He always ran a first class operation. I've stayed there hundreds of times, over 30+ years. But tonight's service was the worst I've ever experienced there. Back log checking in, one bartender and barely behind it, 2 hour wait on food, and TV's in bar and lobby area not working. Than to boot, couldn't get football game upstairs due to contact issues with cable company. Why wasn't a strong manager on duty? You can spend 25 million on a renovation, but to not have a quality staff is all money out the window. I ask for a shuttle to go across the street to Aroogas to eat have a few drinks and watch the game, but the shuttle is only for airport trips, even during their own meltdown. This is a high volume event hotel. Not organized to serve individual guests. No housekeeping on weekends. When room was attended to, they did not make beds, just emptied trash and replaced towels. In days with no housekeeping (4 of our 6 nights) we had trouble getting new towels. Hotel bar completely dysfunctional. Took 45 mins for an order of spinach artichoke dip. The pizza and eggplant we're cold, they left the food on the floor outside of our room, no flatware, no napkins or plates. Called the room service at the hotel, told them I need two plates and two setup's. They delivered two cheap PAPER PLATES and two cheap plastic flare ware. THEY CHARGED ME $21.00 FOR THE TWO PAPER PLATES AND TWO PAPER NAPKINS AND TWO PLASTIC KNIVES FORKS $21.00!!!!!! They only clean your room or bring fresh towels on request. I start every visit with the expectation of 5 stars. They loose 2 stars for the " I don't want to be here, and you can't make me smile attitude from the staff". The attitude was pretty universal. I suspect a management/leadership problem. They loose one star for layout and design of the newly renovated rooms. Battleship grey is an odd choice for a hotel, but maybe thats just me. The baffling layout choice is the placement of the in room coffee maker. It is in the BATHROOM. On a counter next to the sink and across from the toilet. It is in the splash zone of the sink and toilet. Where's the common sense in the design thinking? read more

We spent one night here for a real estate conference that was taking place here. The hotel is currently being renovated but we were not disturbed by the work, there are just certain areas that are closed off. Our room was on the 4th floor, the room was spacious, clean and looked like it was recently updated. The bed was pretty firm yet comfortable. I really enjoyed the face wipe and lavender spray on the nightstand, they also had really nice shampoo and lotion in the bathroom. I only wish they had water bottles in the room but they had a vending machine in the hallway. The nightly rate was very reasonable. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely stay again at this location. read more

Definitely not worth the money, and the breakfast was not worth it either. Pancakes were literally stuck to the side of the chaffing dish, home fries too spicy and bacon not cooked enough. In the room, the temperature was hard to get right, couldn't get the thermostat to work. And the shade to darken the room was really hard to roll down. read more

Stayed here this past weekend for a wedding and it was a great hotel. Room was nice, clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly & accommodating. They allowed me to check in early at 1pm & they have a shuttle that can take you to the airport 24/7. They have a restaurant downstairs so you didn't have to leave the hotel for anything. Food was good. Only negative about this place was there room doors are not soft close so you can hear everyone leaving there rooms in the A.M which isn't great if your trying to sleep in. read more
