Located off of 580, near Costco, is the Hampton Inn. Very Clean and Modern Hotel. The AC was extremely high, but after a while it came down. The general manager has called and we spoke. He was very professional apologetic. What I appreciated about him were the following: 1) asks me for my side of the story 2) his values and importance of thanking customers that choose and be loyal to Hilton 3) next steps he will take aka training the supervisor and calling pest control 4) what he will be doing for me He lays it out in a very organized, caring fashion. I was super happy here. Everyone is so helpful and the breakfast is great. Lots of good choices and a lovely dining room. There's a pool and small gym people use a lot. The rooms are very clean and I love the sheets. Also they have a electric charger for your car in the parking lot. Location - near Costco and 580- is really convenient. We stay at a lot of hotels and this one seems to be one of the best managed that we've visited in a while. Housekeeping is very efficient and very visible - maybe that's why this is one of the cleanest places we've been in a while! read more

Stayed in this hotel for a few days with my husband and 20 month old twins. The hotel was pretty decent. Breakfast was excellent and the waffle batter contained no eggs whatsoever. This is the first time that I have stayed in a hotel that I was able to safely eat the waffles. I took advantage of it every morning. While my husband thought that room could have been a little bit bigger, overall it was really nice. Everything was clean. The bathtub drained well. No open plugs anywhere. They had a night light in the bathroom. The AC worked. And at the end of the day, the employees didn't mind if the kids ran up and down the hallways. If we go back to that area, we could definitely see ourselves staying here again. read more

Warm and welcoming staff that was the first thing we encountered very organized and clean property loved the breakfast area and all that they had to offer a little something for everyone from dry cereals eggs, waffles yogurts, fresh fruit, toast, juices, coffee drinks. Cameras up and down the hallways Felt quite safe being here you can hear a light music playing in the hallways to all housekeeping staff was very friendly and accommodating rooms for spacious TV microwave mini fridge. Plenty of parking outside the beds were quite comfortable. Nice amenities in the room, shampoos conditioners lotions, body wash, held in large containers easy pump and then a bar of face soap. Easy access to the freeway. Not far from restaurants or shops, so nice quiet area but definitely stay here again. read more

Made reservations for one night using their website. Started to not feel well so called to see if they were able to postpone reservations for the next day. Angeleah was accommodating. No disclaimer was shared with me that I will no longer be able to cancel once she provides this swap in days. Next day, I called to share that I tested positive for Covid-19 and will not be able attend my reservation after all. I asked about a refund policy or even a future credit for a future date when I do not have Covid. Angeleah continued to share she will not be able to refund me because of not providing 24 hour in advance notice. I almost considered attending to quarantine in the hotel room with my Covid so I could at least get my money worth! I'm surprised of their Covid policy post pandemic and their non-flexibility. $177 down the drain for catching Covid. Yay for me. Thank you Hamptons Inn for your understanding and compassion. I will never use your services again and I'm a huge traveler. I will not support a major corporation like the Hilton who can afford to refund customers. I am still shocked there was no flexibility or even a covid-19 refund policy. read more

Great Hotel but HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE at front hotel desk. Almost Scary. Stayed 12/24/23. The next morning prior to checking out I received an alert from my bank that there is a charge on my debit card for $27.03 from Hampton Inn Livermore. So I inquired with desk receptionist Hannah as to why there was this charge on my debit card $27.03 overnight. She looked over my folio but couldn't tell what or why they charged my card. Although she could see it. She became irritated immediately and complained that she was only human! And that it was only $27.03 why am I asking? She printed my folio and asked me to leave and to get out of her face! I left. Still haven't called to talk to the manager because who knows what they'll say. Instead called my bank and disputed the charge. Otherwise a nice place. read more

The house was being tented for termites. We stayed here with our two cats for which the "uptick" cleaning fee was $75 for all three nights - less than the other hotels in the area. We were familiar with the location near our Costco and about a half-dozen other hotels. Using Hilton Honors points trimmed the price a bit. Ample free breakfast is standard at Hampton and we've stayed at others on recent trips. We knew where the restaurants were locally, but none really walking distance for other meals. I have to stay that the staff here was WONDERFUL. Friendly, accommodating, cheerful. Room was clean with microwave and small refrigerator; beds were comfortable. There was a problem with our room the first night: the AC/Heater made a rather loud noise which did impact our sleeping. Upon request, we were offered a different room, but before moving the house technician/mechanic swapped out the unit for one which worked properly. I joked with the manager about why the outdoor pool was closed: it was winter! But it did look appealing. The exercise room looked well equipped, the area was safe as it was rather isolated with only other hotels, Costco and a private school nearby. Recommended. read more

I stayed at the Hampton Inn Livermore for a nearby wedding and had a pleasant time here. Staff was great upon check-in and gave us a couple of bottled waters. They also had coffee near the front desk which I partook in. Our room was nice, on the first floor and looking over the pool. Our room was clean, beds were comfy and everything was as it should be. Unfortunately, I did not have the best experience staying here for just one night last Friday. First the good: 1. The Complementary Breakfast was the best--they really know how to do breakfast. They had fresh fruit, both white and brown hard boiled eggs, chobani yogurts, oatmeal, breakfast potatoes, juices, coffee, raisin bran, and all the other greasy fatty foods that will kill you. No complaints here. 2. Breakfast area and room was clean except 1 errant long hair, but the room floor was dirty. I walked from the bathroom after a shower to the bed and just in that short walk, I wiped off my feet with a wet wash cloth and it was brown dirty. 3. They use Neutrogena products--excellent. 4. The staff was Okay--they listened to my issue but could not do anything. 5. Towels are Okay--passable. Not as soft and large as a Hilton but not as rough and tiny as a Super 8 or Motel 6. Here is where things went bad that night: 1. When I checked in with a prepaid reservation I went to the room I heard the rush of cars going by. I looked out the window and it was literally right on the highway. The windows were just single pane and you can hear everything with them closed. I had not brought anything to the room yet or disturbed anything, so I went back to the front desk and told them it's noisy in there, do they have another room? They said that is the only room that they can assign me. That night the rush of the cars got to me in the middle of the night by 3 AM and I could not get back to sleep until 7 AM and was exhausted the next day on an important day of my trip. 2. I just could not get comfortable with the top sheet and cover. The sheet was fine/soft, but the top sheet was thin/rough/uncomfortable and I was fighting with it all night until I woke up in the middle of the night--eventually I just got rid of it and slept under the covers when I finally fell asleep a few hours later. This was my first stay at a Hampton Inn. I would not stay here again. Just an uncomfortable sleep experience I am sorry to report. I will say though that this area has a number of other hotels and is an excellent seemed safe place to overnight. Also go to Old Town Livermore and walk around--it's a great place to hang out day or night. read more

Context: I stayed two nights from Saturday to Monday. Pros: Friendly staff. Free lotion, razors etc from front desk. AC worked great. Shower was clean and hot. Room appeared clean. Cons: Noise: could hear the pipes in the wall every time someone in other rooms flushed a toilet or ran water. I could hear other visitors talking and laughing all night. Comfort: The pillows were uncomfortable. The bed was lumpy. Incorrect information: I called twice beforehand to confirm the pool would be open and the desk attendant confirmed it would be open during my stay. When I arrived, it was not open. I specifically chose accommodations with a pool and paid $160 a night. This is a cheap inn at the price of a nice Hilton or marriot. I do not recommend this hotel. read more

One word to describe this place: disgusting Stayed here for the week, check-in experience was unpleasant, the lady wanted to get me out of there so she could get back to her phone call. I asked for my room to be cleaned mid-week, no one cleaned my room. The fitness center was nasty. The towels in my room were all stained up, the pillows were disgusting and the AC worked 10% of the time. They are CRAZY about their mask policy, yet everyone in the breakfast area is sitting shoulder to shoulder, no 6' social distancing spacing with no mask on. I am Hilton diamond member and stay at only hiltons but i would compare this place more to a motel 6 than a Hilton property. read more

This hotel is on the top of my list for places to stay in Livermore. I travel one to two weeks a month for business, between 200 and 300 miles from home. I have stayed at Hampton Inn in Livermore twice now over the last three weeks and I find the rooms very clean and very comfortable. The manager and the Staff have gone above and beyond the call of duty to make sure my stay here was the very best! After my first week I wrote the manager to make a suggestion (not a request), he has no idea I would be back in two weeks (neither did I) on my Avondale week check in i found my room accommodations in place as suggested. Coincidence of not, I was not disappointed the first stay and very much not the second. Hampton Inn, I hope to see you again in the near future. read more

I wish there was a way to rate things separately in yelp. I would give customer service there a 5 star rating for sure, but other areas of our visit brought this review down to a 3 star. We were with a wedding party and arrived while renovations were occurring. Understandably, there is never a good time to renovate and guests will always be inconvenienced during this period. The manager and other staff members did their best to help us above and beyond, but they couldn't turn on the water to the building when we needed it most to shower for a rehearsal dinner happening that evening we all arrived. After most of us drove for over 5 hours to get there, we all needed to shower and prepare for dinner. They promised to have the water on by 3pm, but even after leaving the hotel at after 4pm no one had running water in the building. No shower or running toilets. They offered to pay for a room across the street so some of the women could shower, but that solution came a little too late so we all went to the wedding rehearsal at the nearby country club smelling like we came from the gym. The staff's attempt to help was very sincere and greatly appreciated, but I think a lot more pressure should have been put on the construction crew to get the water on by the time it was promised. Another issue that dropped this review to 3 stars was a old/used band aid found on the phone in our room. Pretty gross. Made me wonder what else was overlooked in cleaning when we saw that. The breakfast was awesome. One of the best free breakfast meals that I've had at a hotel. All in all, we'd stay there again if we ever had to visit the area. The water issue was a frustrating problem, but the staff attempts to resolve it was admirable and says a lot about the way they try their best to help with things beyond their control. read more

Stayed here since there was a family rate for a wedding. Room was clean. Bathroom needs an exhaust. The bathroom door also decides to close shut. So after showering and the mirrors are fogging up, the door closes. Had to prop it open with a trash can and that gets in the way of entering and exiting the hotel room itself. Minor, but an exhaust would help. Pillows were also a bit too soft. I stacked 3 pillows and I still had to fold a pillow to prop my head up a little. If you like sinking into your pillow and onto the mattress, then these pillows are for you. Internet was very bad. There was an Hilton Honors login and that wouldn't even connect. Ended up using the Guest login and that was so spotty. Complimentary breakfast was nice. They also had a manager's happy hour in the lobby so that was a nice touch as well for free beer and wine. read more

I don't usually yelp so quickly but felt compelled to post. Checked into the Hampton Inn today and the service was fantastic. I needed a room due to my fathers passing and got a good rate here. It can be a nerve wracking time to travel on top of handling the grief of dads passing. I really needed a smooth check in, not that they knew that. I was early and my room wasn't ready yet, they upgraded me so I could check in right away and were so friendly during the process. Mind you, they did not know of dads passing until the end of my check in. So, a sincere thank you to the lady at the front desk and who I am assuming was her manager. You never know who is having a tough day, thank you for your kindness. read more

This isn't my favorite Hampton. The property is getting old and there seem to always be small maintenance issues in the rooms I get here. The room rates are ALWAYS at a premium (welcome to Wine Country) and I expect things to work, be fairly nice, etc, when I pay a premium for a room. There are some pluses to this hotel. They have complimentary wine and beer each evening so you can awkwardly socialize with the other strangers in the hotel. A nice perk and generally well attended. Breakfast is the same as other Hampton's and reliable to be fairly good and filling to get you on your way. I also like that this property is far enough off the freeway that it is nice and quiet in the evenings. There are several options for hotel chains in this area. The Hampton is still one of my favorites and I hope they step up the maintenance soon. read more

My daughter plays travel softball 9 months of the year and we stay in hotels frequently. We are loyal to Hilton and stay in one of their hotels every time. As I am the one who usually chooses the hotel for the whole team, that's a lot of business generated by me. A few weeks ago, my daughter woke up with the flu and couldn't play. I called to ask if I could cancel without a charge as a reward for my loyalty. The woman was not very pleasant, but she said she would ask and call me back. I hung up thinking I would never hear from her again. Not too long afterwards, she called back and told me she was able to cancel it for me. This time she was upbeat and nice! Fast forward to today. I was just charged for my cancellation from 10/7! I called to inquire and the man I spoke to said he would research and call me back. He called me back and informed me that I was being charged because I canceled late. I explained what happened and he said that the woman's notes from 10/7 did not mention waiving the fee. That is definitely what she said on the phone. We have another tournament near this hotel next weekend. I will not be staying there; nor will any of the other families from the team. read more

Everything was fine until the housekeeper knocked on our door at 11:04am to see if we left. We had not (check-out 11am). Soon after my friend told her we are not ready, the room phone rings. My friend calls back. She then asks what time check-out. Told 11am. She asks when is late check-out. He says noon. So, why are they harassing us to leave? BEWARE. This property has a thief. This hotel has a thief. Flat out. There are no safes in the room so we took our most valuable items with us and kept them locked in the trunk of the car. However, we did not take an inexpensive ($30) but nice looking eye-shadow make up kit. Instead we put the kit inside an unlocked suitcase that we left in the room and we went out for the day. The next morning, we discovered that the make up kit was gone. Someone had opened the suitcase and stole it. When we complained to the front desk clerk she said she called the manager and he promised to investigate and call us. That was 2 days ago and we haven't heard a word from anyone. I can only surmise that the hotel's management is in cahoots with the thief. (Maybe a housekeeper who is a relative?) Hilton: you should ask the police investigate this property. read more

Well what a surprise. Lovely 3 star hotel in the Tri-Valley area. Recently renovated property with hotel rooms that are squeaky clean with a very comfortable king sized bed. They were well staffed to insure timely room turn around. They accommodated our requests for a quieter location away from the freeway noise and a late departure time without hesitation. Thank you for the convenient continental breakfast. (Please make the coffee a little stronger) Now that Mom is in a nursing home, this hotel will always be our first choice when visiting Pleasanton/Livermore from out of town. read more

We have been Hilton Honors Members for years now and it is because of Hotels like this we will be switching back over to Marriott. We have stayed at this hotel several times and the hotel is pretty run down and doesn't have the best customer service but it has been convenient. This however will be the LAST TIME we will stay here. The GM is unaccommodating and will loosing our business over $153.00 reservation that was canceled through the Hilton App that never went through. I was altered that my room was available for check in so I contacted the hotel to explain the situation to them and they refused to cancel my reservation that is still 24 hours away. Contacted Hilton Guest Services and they also could not get GM to budge. We will never ever stay at another Hampton again because of this and certainly will not stay at this Hampton in Livermore. read more

On a whim we decided to get a room in Livermore after too many drinks. I called around and to my surprise we found it was very difficult to get a room at 11pm on a Monday night. We were so happy with the helpfulness of the Hampton Inn. The service was great, easy, and answered all of our questions. The front desk attendant even gave us a complimentary bottle of wine as she saw that we were celebrating a special occasion. The rooms were clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable. They also had a short walk to a local spot called Bar Tatami, they served food and drinks all night. If we ever stay in Livermore again, this is the place to stay. read more

I've previously stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn across the street. I may have accidentally booked this hotel, but it worked out great. It was nicer than I remember the Garden Inn. The rooms were very nice, very large (at least 42") flat screen TV in the room and a refrigerator that's thoughtfully inside a cabinet for sound insulation. I spent six days there and was impressed with the reception, which included beer, wine and dinner (!) I didn't try it out, in-spite of being pulled pork one evening which sounded great. The young lady on reception in the evenings was very pleasant and friendly, but the morning staff, not as much - not even looking up, or greeting anyone - all 5 mornings. If that's the only complaint I can think of, then things aren't so bad. Last time I was working in Pleasanton, I made the mistake of staying in Fremont, because it was the nearest Homewood suites in the region. Big mistake. This property picks up the [saggy] loose reins of titular homewood amenities with the meals and drinks and the rooms are much nicer. Optional socks off environment. read more

The hotel was definitely not sold out so you would think that knew their property well enough to not book a guest overlooking the highway! I'm a frequent traveler to Livermore and will definitely be looking for another place that better understands their property. read more

I've stayed here twice now and both times I had to change my original room I was given (Once was due to visible dirt and blood stains and once due to the fact the room reeked of urine). The breakfast was nice but thats about the only positive thing about the hotel. I'd recommend staying at any of the other hotels across the street. read more
