The room was a King room, with a large TV, spacious bathroom, and good water pressure in the shower. The only real negative - I could not get the room cool enough to sleep under the covers. I had to sleep on top because it was too warm. The thermostat setting lied, so I am guessing the hotel has some kind of temperature cap/fix at 73ish? If wasn't atrociously hot, but it wasn't cool enough for sleeping. The conversation rooms upstairs was spacious and clean. The lobby and registration desk were beautiful with amiable staff. The elevators are on the smaller side.

At approximately 8:45 a.m., nearly three hours before checkout, someone attempted to enter my hotel…read moreroom while my son and I were still inside. I heard a very faint knock, and as I approached the door to see who it was, the door began to open. I immediately yelled, "What are you doing?" The person quickly pulled the door shut. By the time I reached the door and looked through the peephole, I saw them hurrying down the hallway. As a woman traveling alone with a child who is on the autism spectrum, I found this extremely alarming. Guests should be able to feel secure in their rooms, particularly when they have not checked out and the room is still occupied. The incident raised serious concerns about privacy, room-access procedures, and whether staff are properly verifying occupancy before entering. Unfortunately, the response I received at the front desk made the situation worse. When I reported the incident to Stacy Milton, she was dismissive and rude. Rather than expressing concern or apologizing, she asked, "Did they actually enter your room?" She also stated that she did not know who the person was. That response did nothing to reassure me that the hotel knew which employees had accessed the floor or attempted to enter my room. When I said the incident needed to be addressed, her response was, "Why wouldn't I address it?" Her tone was defensive and unnecessarily confrontational. Because we needed to leave for the airport, I could not remain at the hotel to pursue the matter further. As I was leaving, I overheard her speaking to the general manager and complaining about our interaction rather than focusing on the serious safety concern I had just reported. Once I was in the Uber, I called the hotel and asked to speak with General Manager Sara Gabbard. I was told she had stepped out, and my call was transferred to voicemail. She has not returned my call. There were also several maintenance and cleanliness concerns during our stay. The hallway carpets appeared old and heavily soiled. The bathtub and shower combination had a noticeable weak or soft area in the center of the base, which felt unsafe and gave the impression of possible unaddressed damage. Taken together, these issues reflect serious failures in leadership, maintenance, staff training, cleanliness, guest service, and basic safety procedures. The most concerning part of this experience was not only that someone attempted to enter an occupied room, but that the hotel's response showed so little urgency, accountability, or empathy. This was an unacceptable and unsettling experience. I would not recommend this property to women traveling alone, families with special-needs children, or any guest who values privacy, cleanliness, safety, and professional hospitality.

The bartender was friendly and welcoming, though the whiskey sours we ordered weren't the best. Once the seminar began, we were guided into a room that was a decent size with tables set up comfortably for the group. Dinner was provided, and it was a taco bar. It was pretty average, but i was hungry. I did enjoy the chips and queso, and the white chocolate macadamia nut cookie was pretty good. The seminar itself lasted about two hours and was informative, so it felt like time well spent. This was my first time visiting, and overall the hotel made a good impression. I also noticed they have a nice outdoor patio area, which would be great to enjoy in better weather. Unfortunately, it was raining the day we visited. Still, it's a solid spot to keep in mind for events or even a future stay.

We still had to go to the 2nd floor for keys, but it meant we were able to request an early check in time and then see if it was doable. The rooms are clean and spacious considering, and felt homey and welcoming. It had a coffee/tea set up which was nice. We were able to get easily to several fun restaurants and even found a concert at one pub which made for a fun night. The only challenge was that many of the hotel rooms (ours included) faced a Main Street. Perhaps Indy folks all believe they are part of the racing world as throughout the night we could hear motorbikes, cars and who knows what else racing along the road. We had a sound machine but it didn't help much. For those light sleepers I would for sure request a higher level and non street facing room. Not anything the hotel can do about it but just a note. It was an amazing breakfast and there was such choice it felt like a full sit down restaurant! We would for sure stay again and will be using Hyatt hotels for all our future stays. It is the quality and care that we anticipate and appreciate when traveling.

It is right across the street from Gainbridge Fieldhouse which was perfect because we were going to a Fever game that night. We decided to park in a parking garage about a block away from the hotel to save some extra dollars. The hotel does offer overnight parking but it is pretty pricey. Our room was clean, bathroom was spacious, and the bed was so comfortable! The breakfast had a variety of foods: eggs, toast, sausage, yogurt station, potatoes, fruits, juices, coffee, dairy creamer, and dairy-free creamer. It was really busy on Saturday morning but the staff made sure everything was fresh and full. Sunday was more relaxed. The gym was clean, spacious, and had a variety of equipment too. We enjoyed the views of downtown Indy while exercising. This was a great choice and would definitely stay here again.

Highlights: */- location- while not directly on the circle, you are a short minute walk away. Plus you are 15 minutes to either Mass Ave or Gainbridge. Also if you're looking to make your trip a bit economical, you can walk ~5 minutes to Whole Foods to grab snacks. + friendly and helpful staff + typical Aloft branded offerings. Their lobby area is actually one of my favorites as it does offer additional seating behind the check in area with TVs , including an area in what was once an old bank vault +spacious rooms with separate small table nook with seating * tall shower height and decent water pressure Quirks/considerations: - check-in/out times: while not an issue during my stay , the official checkin time is actually 4pm and check out is officially 11am -auto light shutoff- while sitting in room reading, the lights would auto shut off every 15-20 minutes due to my stillness. The only light I found not attached to this "feature" was a small bedside light. -/+ the do allow pets so if that's an issue for you , ask/seek out a pet free room -valet is $52 a day. Sadly this seems to be the norm for hotels. Seek out nearby lots/street parking or apps such as parking spot hero to see if there are other cheaper options - noise, especially at night and from echoing cop sirens. Like many hotels downtown the walls are stupid thin and the higher up the better. Sadly this hotels ranks as one of the worst for noise for all of the Marriotts downtown for me. If you are really wanting to stay on the circle, the Sheraton and even potentially the Le Meridian are better options but again, they will have some quirks as well. Overall another option when looking to stay in downtown Indy.

Along with that, I loved its Expedia rating of (9.2/10 out of 106 verified reviews). It was those things that won me over and led me into booking a room with Aloft Indianapolis Downtown. My experience with the classy receptionist working behind the desk was nothing less than professional. Since my room was already booked through Expedia, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information, a briefing on what the hotel offers, and giving me my room key. For your information check-in starts at 4:00 PM and check-out ends at 11:00AM! Upon locating and walking into my room, I could not help but adore how beautiful and artsy it appeared. From the colorful pillows on the furniture to the colorful carpeting underneath the bed, as well as the tilted mirror near the door, I was totally charmed out of my panties at first sight. To provide privacy while showering or utilizing the toilet, there was a slide door present which I discovered as I got settled in. Inside of the shower, there were liquid products by drybar attached to the wall. As an avid traveler, I have noticed that hotels have completely dealt away with the mini shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner products that made great travel hygiene additions. Along with those notable things inside of the room, it met my cleanliness standards. I had no issues whatsoever getting comfortable and sleeping in the lovely king-sized bed during my stay as my head was engulfed in between the comfortable pillows. While utilizing the shower, I really enjoyed the water pressure; the soothing pressure of the water made me feel very cleansed during each usage. It was wonderful toggling with the spray patterns by the twist of the showerhead, with the addictive feel of the pressure hitting my face and body. Other things the room came with that I noticed were a steamer, blow dryer, a coffee maker (Hamilton Beach), a mini smartfridge, a cute 1962 Marshall radio, a safe, and a few tables with USB and electrical outlets built in. And the Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to and not once did I have any connectivity issues with it during my stay. Aloft Indianapolis Downtown had spiffy looking inner interior. Onsite I saw a laundry room that I personally did not use. As a fitness enthusiast, it was great having a fitness center onsite because it allowed me to keep up with my fitness routines while vacationing in Indianapolis. And inside of the fitness center, I was impressed to see the number of dumbbell weights, medicine balls, and a decent selection of workout machines that I enjoyed during my stay. If you are visiting the city of Indianapolis, Aloft Indianapolis Downtown sits not only within acceptable walking distance of a plethora of restaurants and businesses, but Circle Centre Mall, Gainbridge Fieldhouse, and the intriguing Soldiers and Sailors Monument as well. Restaurants that I visited during my short stay and recommend visiting are Slapfish, Good Vibes Cafe Bar, Command Coffee, and Giorgio's Pizza which are within a short walking distance of the hotel. I would surely book with Aloft Indianapolis Downtown again not only because my comfort needs were met, but the hotel is within an accessible distance of things of interest to me in Indianapolis, and I felt well taken care of. PRO: +This hotel was recently renovated in 2025 and the lobby and the room insides were beautiful. +We had a valuable item go missing from our room. The hotel was very attentive in their investigation and took us seriously (unlike another hotel a decade ago.) No matter what the result, I really appreciated how the hotel handled the situation. + Great location. We were in a really fun area full of restaurants and bars. + Bar Cardinale was a great place to hang out in at night - relatively quiet and peaceful during the weekdays - and on Sat night they even had a DJ that played fun music. CON: - For a mid-luxury hotel, this was one of the smallest rooms I have been in for a while. The bathroom is so small, I had to move the makeup mirror in order to put my toothbrush on the side. - The weekend was full of kids - at night they were not supervised and we found them running around the M floors and the pools running in and out of the elevators. It was extremely unfortunate that the hotel did not have anyone around to round them out and make them go back to their rooms.

The tub needs a new seal. With our family of 5 we had great water pressure & hot water while showering. Our kitchen was tiny, but useful. In the kitchen there were 2-4 of each plates, bowls, cups & silverware. No baking dishes at all. 2 pots. Fridge, microwave, toaster, dishwasher. The breakfast was AMAZING! Juices, coffee, bagels, bread, English muffins, muffins, biscuits, gravy, eggs, sausage, boiled eggs, Belgium waffles, oranges, green apples, yogurt, cereal.. and so much more.. the staff was very friendly. Check-in & out were simple. There is a nook to purchase snacks & drinks. There were people smoking marijana in their rooms, so the smoke & smell filled the hallways.

"We don't have any ketchup packets," she replied, "but we do have ketchup in a bottle in the back, and I can pour some in a cup." I immediately went down to the lobby, and she greeted me with the cup o' ketchup all ready to go. Dinner saved! We love locally, but found ourselves without heat this past weekend as our furnace decided to finally give up the ghost (Hey, 21 years was a good run!). As we waited to get a repair appointment, going to a hotel seemed like the best option. We have family in town, but springing a family of five on someone for the weekend is a little jarring (surprise!). I looked for a local hotel that could accommodate my whole family in one room and was both affordable and had an indoor pool. Home2 Suites to the rescue! Overall, I would give the hotel 4 stars. The pool was nice but a little cool. Everything was very clean and put together well. And they have a nice little workout room with 3 treadmills, dumbbells, kettlebells and a peloton bike. It's not a 5 star luxury hotel, but it's a solid 4 stars with great customer service. I enjoyed the suites with 2 queen beds and a pullout coach to comfortably sleep all 5 of us. There is also a great little kitchenette with a sink, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. There was also a sign that you can request a portable cooktop and skillet for your cooking needs, but I was not in need of that. The kitchen is also stocked with plates and glasses and some cookware. The shower was nice and comfortable with plenty of towels already stocked in the room. Home2 Suites also allows pets. It was nice to bring along my adorable King Charles Spaniel. Gizmo was a little concerned about the elevators, and I needed to give him a little boost to get on. But once he realized they were his ticket to going outside for a walk, he jaunted right onto those elevators! Breakfast was good with the now standard waffle irons, bagels and English muffins that can be easily toasted. There are also cereal options and fresh yogurt. Both traditional milk and oat milk are offered for the cereal of coffee. You can also opt for the bacon or sausage (they rotate days), as well as an egg option and fried potatoes. Home2 Suite helped to make the best of a difficult weekend for my family. This hotel is great for migrant workers or larger families who prefer to stay in one room or have the use of a small, yet very functional kitchen area.
