    Breakfast sandwich from hotel restaurant
    David W.

I enjoyed my stay here. I was very thankful that the gym was open. I especially like how the staff is not allowing the corona virus to defeat them. They still enforce social distancing, etc but they have not completely shut down. Let me add that I had a brioche breakfast sandwich from the hotel restaurant. It was outstanding!!! It tasted a little like home and a little like a restaurant. One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had!

Mary (I think their Chat specialist) was very kind and helpful during a Southwest Airlines debacle situation. I made a request and she fulfilled them! Staff at the bar/bistro was friendly and made me some delicious Torchoes when my Grub Hub order was sent correctly by the restaurant. Rooms were clean and lobby was very updated.

Look closely at this semi-circle mark. Also another one next to it toward center of bed.

Pretty bad. I was just thrown over the edge when I ask for lotion because lotion was not provided in the room. I was handed a 0.75 ounce bottle and I was told "that is all I have got". This little bottle won't even cover one leg. Last night when I discovered there was no lotion I had to use the hair conditioner in the shower. I stayed in the Comfort Inn Suites for the last two nights in Saint Robert, MO for $129.00/night. The Comfort Inn was spectacular. I thought the Marriott would be over the top because of their reputation and my many stays at Marriotts. Not so much. I am putting photos on to show you what I wrote is true. The grout on the tile floor of the bathroom was black. So noticeable. No extra blankets though there was closet space for one. Incredibly cheap toilet paper. They can do better. The good points: nice TV, two double beds though I question if the sheets were washed, small refrigerator and microwave, desk/chair and sitting chair.

    Dirt on the bathroom floor

This was the dirtiest room I have ever seen at a Marriott property. The bathroom corners and edges had visible dirt and there were brown drips all over the walls. The room edges were dirty, with lots of debris from former guests. There was an ancient chocolate bar in the desk drawer. The ottoman had a huge stain. There is one tiny elevator for 3 floors, people were standing around waiting in the morning. The bistro is crazy expensive. I purchased a latte and 3 muffins for $25. I was amazed at how inexpensive this night was, but now I see why.

Private dining booths with wall mounted tv

Overall, great location, amenities, service and reasonable price. I only stayed one night on my way from Branson to Boston but everything was even better than I expected. They allowed early check-in, let me check my car seat at the desk rather than hauling it to my room. The bistro chef and manager let me order at opening time instead of waiting for dinner time to begin; they offered table service and even voluntarily brought over a glass of ice water. My little girl enjoyed the private booth with wall mounted tv. I was satisfied with my sandwich and sides, including a couple local brews. The pool was clean and just being repaired so heat returned. It was tolerable temperature when I ventured in but the kind gentleman from engineering explained the situation and I later saw families flocking in. The room was clean, crisp and inviting. I enjoyed being able to watch my favorite shows on internet tv just by logging in on my phone. I even felt secure when I could manually request my information to be forgotten. I liked the mounted shampoo, conditioner, body wash even though I think this is a cost saving measure I like the reduction of plastic/trash. Catching the 4 am shuttle was easy to arrange and actually complete. The only things I didn't particularly like were: not being able to speak to a local representative to clear doubts about shuttle prior to arrival (spoke with call center rep after looping for 8 minutes answering the same questions), there was no body lotion in the room, and I found small pieces of rusting metal floating in the tub while I bathed my little girl.

    Shower hose does not adjust.

Nice building on the outside, a but dated on the inside. Parking was great, plenty of spaces. Lots of entrances that have elevators close by. Hallways were clean and there were no issues with noise. The room was pretty spacious compared to other hotels. Bed was decent, a bit squishy but that's to be expected at a hotel. There was a hot tub in the room, which was a nice surprise. It was great after a 9 hour drive. The biggest issue I had was the bathroom. First, the sink is separate from the shower and toilet. It's mainly an issue because I get ready for bed while my partner is trying to get to sleep and the noise keeps him awake. I hate this layout in general anywhere that it's used. Second, the bathroom door did not shut or lock completely. Wasn't even close. The latch was no where near fitting like it should. Which means it's always been broken and they just don't care. Then, the shower head - what a piece of junk. Photo attached. They had one of those detachable hose things and it did not work. It would just fall down the pole so you would have to crouch down to use the shower. Wtf? Fix it. Overall, I'm upset about the bathroom issues but if you don't care about that, which you probably don't, then I do recommend this place.

Flew to Missouri from California, and this hotel is directly across the street from the hospital. Could not have asked for a better experience. The hotel is directly across the street from the hospital, so it was a very easy walk to get to and from seeing our family member. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, and very accommodating. We were able to add days and end our stay without any sort of advanced notice, of course, because we did not really know what would be happening. When we did leave, we were given a late-late checkout on request, I really could not say enough wonderful things about how nice it was to not have to worry about our hotel stay. I would give them infinite gold stars if possible. Thank you.

It's also a pretty safe neighborhood, which is nice since parking is in an open lot, not a garage. It's a basic TownePlace Suites. It has good-sized rooms with comfortable beds and a fold-out sofa, basic cooking facilities, a work station and the usual amenities including iron and board. There is also a complementary breakfast, and a few others, including a workout room. Service was generally pretty good. I couldn't find my hair dryer on my first day (heading into a meeting), and the front desk attendant had one to my room within minutes. However, there were several other issues with this property. First, the shower in my guest room was barely warm. Even after receiving assurance from the front desk that maintenance would look after it, it was no better. There is a lobby bar where the attentive bartender pours drinks and offers appetizers from Tuesdays through Saturdays, but the quesadilla on offer was HORRIBLE! Whatever was supposed to be the tortilla (and it was NOT a traditional flour tortilla) had the consistency - and flavor - of cardboard. When I asked the bartender what kind it was, she admitted she didn't know, but suspected it was some kind of "healthy option." One does not order a quesadilla to be healthy. Third, the hotel has a shared computer (not exactly a business center) but requires a log-on for Word or Excel, which makes it pretty useless for anything except surfing the web. Even the credentials provided by the front desk didn't work. On two of the three nights I stayed there, the hotel hosted a fair number of kids' sports teams. That meant the noise level went up, kids running in the halls, and a breakfast room that was pretty well overrun both mornings. Fortunately, there are other restaurants close by, providing options to avoid the crazy. It's not the best TownePlace Suites at which I've stayed (and I've stayed at plenty) but if the location is convenient and the price suits your budget, I wouldn't steer you away.

I'm so glad I did. The moment I stepped into the stylish, contemporary lobby, I felt like I'd walked into a boutique hotel in SoHo. The design is chic, modern, and full of personality. I arrived early and was pleasantly surprised to get access to my room right away -- a spacious, beautifully appointed room on the fourth floor of the hotel's main building. (Tip: there's a second building across the alley in back, so if location matters to you, be sure to ask which one you're in.) My room was terrific -- upscale furnishings, high ceilings, and a bed so comfortable I wanted to bring it home with me. Great mattress, perfect pillows -- everything you hope for in a good night's sleep. As luck would have it, the hotel was celebrating its 10-year anniversary with a lobby reception just as I was heading out to a meeting. The place had a celebratory buzz. When I returned, I made a beeline to Vantage, the rooftop bar, for an Old Fashioned. They were out of Angel's Envy (my go-to), but the bartender made a solid one with Woodford Reserve. A quick evening shower made the rooftop a bit humid, so I headed downstairs to The Order, the hotel's lobby bar -- equally impressive, with a standout liquor selection and, yes, Angel's Envy in stock. Round two. The next morning, I hit their fitness room in the back building, followed by a run through downtown. Afterward, I grabbed a surprisingly good $10 breakfast burrito from the on-site café. My only real quibble: no complimentary coffee in the lobby. For a boutique hotel of this caliber, it's a small thing that would make a big difference. Overall, Hotel Vandivort delivered style, comfort, and a memorable experience. If you're heading to Springfield and want something with personality and polish -- stay here. Highly recommended.

Andrea is always helpful and love the cooked to order items here. The rooms, however, are getting so rundown through the years. Lastly, Springfield is getting booked up so these rooms can be up to 180/200+ per night which is highway robbery since they are so bad. It was cheesy in a completely awesome way. Shove the kids in the wagon & let's hit the open road! Could it be improved on? Sure... but it was clean, comfortably & achieved it's goal. Bonus, it was quiet, despite being along the road. We noted the addition of some new themed rooms, including a lovely western room.
