People. There is literally a homeless shelter right next to this hotel/motel. How do these reviews not all start by pointing out this issue?? Yes, the recent room renovations seem nice but what you don't see is the homeless shelter next to the property. When directly asked about it, the management will tell you it's a homeless outreach program for women and their children but there is also a homeless encampment adjacent to the outreach program for the folks and their friends/family who don't qualify or comply with the program's rules and policies. Man, we dodged a bullet seeing the two reviews warning potential visitors on TripAdvisor about this issue!! Photos looked fine online and this hotel offered a summer long rental for interns coming into the area needing a 3 or 4 month rental. Thought this was the answer but thankfully we saw the reviews and found a different summer rental in a safe area. Yikes. This is a revision to my initial review of 4 stars. Let me note that I am a Sonesta member and I really love their business model. Their hotels are usually clean, service top notch and amenities excellent. I was informed today that they have a new policy on room cleaning on my 5th day of stay. I am accustomed to many hotels adjusting room cleaning so that it's not every day, or by request, or once a week. But this is the first instance in which I experienced the policy adopted as once every two weeks. You can pick up towels or linens at the front desk, but 2 weeks is really not acceptable. This site unlike other Sonestas does not include breakfast but unlike other does offer free laundry. And I appreciate that. But only the policy of room cleaning I am dropping my original review down one star to 3. I sincerely think management needs to re-evaluate that policy. read more

I am leaving this review to formally report a highly alarming and unacceptable check-in experience that occurred at your property around midnight a couple of weeks ago. I arrived with a prepaid Booking.com reservation and my confirmation email ready. The lobby was completely empty with only one night auditor on duty (who later stated his name was something sounding like "Truck," "Trug," or "Doug"). After handing over my details, the agent spent over 10 minutes silently looking at his screen just to locate the booking. When I politely asked if he could walk us through what was causing the delay, he immediately became defensive, stating, "I am trying to find the booking, I don't know why you are getting frustrated." I simply replied that it shouldn't take this much time just to pull up a prepaid reservation. Instead of explaining the system delay, the employee became overtly hostile. He reclined back in his chair, raised his voice, and actually shouted at me, "I can take as much time as I'd like!" He then continued to antagonize us, aggressively asking if it looked like he was doing something else and threateningly asking if we wanted him to continue working on it or not. Because it was late at night, the lobby was deserted, and we were completely reliant on this individual to get to our room, his aggressive outburst made both me and my female companion feel genuinely unsafe. A front desk agent is supposed to secure the building and welcome guests, not use their position to intimidate people and go on a power trip. This behavior is a serious liability for your hotel. I strongly advise management to review the security and audio footage from the late-night shift. Please reach out to me directly to get my exact reservation details and dates. To start I was VERY skeptical and worried about our stay here due to all the mixed reviews... BUT, when we arrived, everything was completely remodeled, Front Desk Team reassured all rooms are done after the remodel, which was a huge relief! The rooms are/were spotless, from top to bottom, we reported One maintenance issue (loose toilet paper holder) super minor but they were quick to adjust it! I'd have to say this hotel is super family friendly, felt so warm and cozy, definitely home away from home, kiddos loved the pool and jacuzzi, the breakfast was great and all staff were amazing!! Wonderful!! Beautiful grounds with various attractive common areas. Spacious but cozy. Grace at the front desk was very welcoming. (I think they don't have a welcome bag for cats but everyone was very nice to my two cats). I so appreciative such a beautiful hotel taking us! This place is great. They are remodeling half of this place right now. So 1/2 of the units are closed because they're renovating them. We're in one of the older units it's not bad. Where they're losing a star here, It's for two reasons. The first one which you'll see in my picture is whoever put the toilet paper roll right next to the toilet so it stabs you in the ribs when you're trying to go to the bathroom. I have no clue what they were thinking. The second star, breakfast here is pretty drab. There's not enough hot items as in eggs and bacon and sausage and stuff You get, potatoes, some kind of weird pre-made omelette, and one breakfast meat. It's all pretty bland and just whatever. But what do you expect for free okay. We've stayed in several suite places in the last 2 months. Some breakfasts are better than others I won't name properties or anything like that. The pool is heated and great the jacuzzi is great The patio area is great We spent time in the patio in the pool and the jacuzzi and everything. So the ever so cleans palace of joy no longer exists! The first room was fine , clean and quite. The bad was when the a/c unit busted on our second day. I found Dennis out Maintanance man out side, and he said after checking that the unit was faulty, We where downsides from a Two bedroom to a one with a pull out sofa for the kids. Well the room kinda smelled like wet dog, but the a/c was working. . For the last night. There are very few breakfast items. There was one morning when they had breakfast burritos. And another was hard boiled eggs as protein. No social . Also some of the outlets you place a plug in then it falls out. In one room was fine but, it was the same outlet in a different room. The pool is now open without reservations, but limited to 10 people. It might be worth taking a look at if they get breakfast and the social back. read more

Just finished a two night stay here. Not a great experience. Its not like a true hotel, it's more like apartment living so you have to lug all your stuff up 3 flights of stairs. After check in they ran my credit card for the holding deposit. Never seen this before but they charge a deposit of $150 for each night you stay so $300 was charged. That seems super excessive. Now upon being there, same issue with the toilet paper holder being right by the toilet seat so it stabs you in the thigh. There are 2 big tvs, which is nice. However when you turn one on the other turns on and vice versa, so you have to play like a video game to get only one on or off. It got annoying. First night there I took a shower after the upstairs guest did and water started streaming from the ceiling with a big bubble. I knew it was a leak from the diverted above, I work in property management. I called the front desk, maintenance came up and I showed him. He asked to come back the next day but never did. The ceiling looks like it's been that way for awhile so not sure if they are referring maintenance or didn't know. So I guess I got special water feature I didnt really want. This particular hotel is off the beaten path but still close to the freeway for easy access. We have stayed here twice now, and both times we enjoyed our stay. The rooms are equipped with a cooktop, microwave, dishwasher and toaster which is great if you want to whip up something to eat. They also have different types of hosted events during the week. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. They run a shuttle during the week to the public transit light rail station. It is close to (2) light rail stations which makes it easy to get around if you don't want to drive, especially if you are going to Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. Those 2 realities of this location were A bit too much for me to give them anything more than a 1 star rating and that 1 Star is solely based on the fact that the hotel is situated conveniently next to both the 101 and 237 freeways. Management should seriously consider fumigating the property, updating the rooms, and most importantly implementing better security to insure that their guests can at least feel safe from having their vehicles vandalized and property stolen. I recently stayed at the hotel as I've stayed at a few of their properties around the country. This was the first extended stay property from Sonesta I've stayed at. It was formerly a stay bridge suites. Positives: Friendly staff Great grab and go breakfast Laundry Pool (reservation) Fitness Center (reservation) Interior of rooms Negatives: Parking lot parties Aging structure externally Many of the wall plugs weren't usable due to age, plugs would fall out. Some interior wear and tear (doors). My bathroom door wouldn't shut because it was damaged. Dirty stairs and porches from people setting garbage out. Lots of squirrels going through garbage outside unit doors. They need to have plastic garbage cans with lids outside units vs people leaving on the ground. It's a bit noisy due to location. I won't stay at this location again. read more

Gotta love it when your company sends you on a business trip across the country, what makes it better is when they put you up in a kickass hotel! This place was just amazing! I arrived late on a Sunday night and I was promptly greeted and welcomed by the friendly staff at the front desk. I stayed for 5 days and enjoyed every single day. My room was just wonderful it was just so homey! The living area was the first thing that caught my eye, although it was small it included a L-shaped couch that was perfect for kicking back after a long day and a decent sized TV. I absolutely loved the kitchen area, not only was there optimal cabinet space, but the designers of the hotel utilized every available space in the room, creating a small bar alongside the kitchen for eating space. They even provided utensils, bowls, pots, pans down to dish soap! I was surprised that I had been put in a two suite room, I opted for the master behind the two doors. It was quite large - queen size bed, large dresser and TV. Attached to the room was also a huge vanity area, a separated bathing area with a stand up shower and a large walk in closet. (Needless to say this place put my little apartment to shame). Aside from having awesome rooms, Staybridge really knows how to spoil their patrons! Onsite was a beautiful large pool and jacuzzi that was open daily AND AND get ready for it.. a full sized basketball court! If only it hadn't rained during my stay there. In addition they also had a small work out area and had free onsite laundering machines. And if those perks and add ons were not enough, they provided complimentary breakfasts and dinner bites. When they say breakfast they MEAN breakfast, each morning I was greeted with fresh bacon, scrambled eggs, and potatoes. They also had a belgian waffle maker, assorted breads and bagels, cereal, yogurt. Wow! And each night they had dinner bites, I only made it down for one night but boy was it amazing. Swedish meatballs, orzo pasta, salad, potato chips AND for those who enjoy a drink.. Shocktop and Budweiser on tap and various bottles of wine. Yes, all included at no extra charge. The only thing that seemed to be missing from my stay here was the shortage of TV channel options, but with the free wifi they're forgiven. Perhaps one of the best suite hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. The rooms are modern and the amenities are great. The breakfast menu changes daily and there's complementary alcoholic beverages in the early evening, from Tuesday to Thursday. I stayed here for over 20 days, and this hotel is relatively close to so many great restaurants and attractions. Would definitely recommend staying here for business or pleasure! read more

I just stayed here and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Was in town for a family Thanksgiving event. The check in was perfect - they even had warm fresh cookies ready. The front desk guest staff treated me and my son very kindly making sure we had access to everything we needed. Even bought out towels to the pool/hot tub when we got out there and needed 2. The buffet breakfast was excellent - lots of protein options and other extras like fruit, yogurt, cold cereal and of course ready to make waffles. My son even asked why this was not a 5-star hotel. Good question! The rooms were large and quiet and lots of free cable TV options - even some cartoons for kids. Smooth check out as well. Will come back for more trips in the future. read more

we rented a two bedroom suite for two nights myself , my husband and our two children upon arriving the outside door had a sticker stated this room has been cleaned for your safety! Oh bologna let me tell you about the nightmare inside! Stained furniture , busted light bulbs , no batteries in remote, 90's boom box left instead the bedroom , boogies wiped on wall with hair inside yuck! The dishwasher had food all inside along with dirty dishes, hair on our sheets, stained furniture it was just a disaster from the start. They had amazing reviews but I do not know what happen to this room overall the place needs new paint as well as updated furniture.. another con is absolutely no parking you have to haul your luggage far due to this being an extended stay hotel it kind of resembles apt building from the outside did not know it would turn out to be like this .. but to each is own .. just thought I'd help read more

Possibly the best hotel I have stayed in sometime, this is one of those places where you feel like it is your home and you are relaxed and comfortable during your whole stay. We decided to rent a room from here, as we had some work being done to the apartment and deiced we can get away. We decided to stay here as it was one of the best prices in the area. When we checked in we were welcomed by the staff very friends and helpful. The one down side was about the 150.00 deposit we were have to incur due to their policy, something about not having wild parties. This was not a big deal, as we knew we would not have any problems receiving our money back, unless they consider loud being my snoring. When we arrive to the room, it was very clean. Everything was in it's place and there were plenty of towles for us to show three time in a 24 hour period, which is always nice. Our room faced the 101 freeway, which we thought might be an issue, well guess what this hotel has already thought of that, with double pane window and extra security door, with double pane as well. Trust me you could not hear a sound from outside which made for a relaxing evening. The breakfast in the morning, was good and busy. They were not many places to sit, but we did meet some wonderful people that allow us to sit with them. The food is good and plenty of it. and coffee/teas in the morning is helpful. I would highly recommend this place and I am sure you will find the same kind of service I received here. read more

I am spending a month here and would stay longer if necessary. The place is clean, comfortable and has lots of ammenities. They are also dog friendly which is really important to me. The staff has always been more than friendly. Very professional. Apartment: If you are hotel living for any length of time, with dogs, kids or multiple people this place is great. It has a full kitchen (oven and all), full sizes fridge, tv's in every room, nice blinds, sleeper couch, dining table, coffee table, computer table, full bath, walk in closet, central ac. COMFTY BEDS. This place is BIG for the price. They even have 2 bedrooms. Other ammenties: - Free coffee station open until 8pm - Shuttles - 24 hour gym (treadmill, stair machine, stationary bike, tv, towels). Small but rarely used. - 24 hour FREE laundry (works well) - Small 24 hour store with frozen dinners, snacks, beer, etc. - Small putt putt golf course - Basketball courts - Dvd's and books - business center (no need to get out your printer! Print here for free) - Daily light touch cleaning and weekly full cleaning (yea!) FOOD: They serve a free hot breakfast EVERY morning with eggs, meat, muffins, waffles, potatos, fruit, etc. I even snag a bagel or bananna for later. Shhhh. Tue-Thurs they service a "light dinner" but it is not really that light. You can totally fill up there. I sometimes wish they had more veggie option (veggie soup with meat in it is not 'veggie'). But the food is decent and varies by day. it is all served buffet style so do expect to sit down and be served but it is FREE and good. Examples include: Barbeque day, soup and salad, pasta, baked potato day, etc. Nothing esquisit but good. Oh yes, plus they have free soft drinks, soda, bud, bud light and cheap (bad) red and white wine. Cons: As comfty as the bed is you would think they would invest in soft towels. They are decent sized but scratchy. The kitchen could us a little cosmetic updating but still not bad. The free Wi-Fi is a little slower than I have had elsewhere. Certain buildings are closer to the highway and thus louder but these buildings also have storm windows and doors to keep the noise down. It's not really that loud. This place is 250% better than an Extended Stay or Homestead suites. Plus it is very safe. read more

This is a great hotel, especially if you have a family. My husband & I stayed at this location for about 5 days. My husband was here for a business trip. PROS: 1. Rooms are well-furnished. The rooms are also not crowded. We were in a one-bedroom suite, with a small dining table, nicely-sized living room, and kitchen that even had a dishwasher. YAY !! :) 2. There is room-service everyday. 3. There is free internet. 4. The laundry is free. There are 3 washing machines and 4 dryers...and using them is free. :) 5. There is an exercise room and pool. 6. During mornings, there is a free breakfast buffet. 7. During some evenings, there is a free dinner. 8. Clean apartment. 9. Nice staff. CONS: 1. The internet is not good. Our ping times were great-between 30-50 ms. However, it would often take me 1-2 minutes to open a single browser window. My husband also experienced the same problem. My husband was unable to access his work email, due to the horrible network. We had the same problem using the hotel's wireless and wired networks. I do bring a wireless router. I used both the hotel's DNS servers and well as the DNS servers I normally use...same results. For you fellow "World of Warcrafters", my husband had a lag time between 2,000-3,000 ms. Ugh !!! He wasn't able to PvP. "YouTube" or any other streaming service like "Napster", was unplayable. :( This could be a major concern for people/families that access "YouTube" for entertainment. 2. The exercise room only had one treadmill, one elliptical machine, and one stationary bike. I don't remember if there were any weights or even an exercise ball. Problem was when folks wanted to use equipment that was already used by someone else. Can be resolved by exercising when folks are at the office or late at night. 3. The one dinner I had, was a "Mexican" dinner. The menu included fajitas, nachos, salad, wine, and cheese. The unpleasant aspect of the dinner were the flies hovering over the food stations. This could easily be avoided by using the kitchen. :) This hotel should have gotten an easy 5-star rating, even with the food and the exercise room. But the lousy internet access is really unforgivable for a major-brand hotel that is in Silicon Valley. This hotel should have stellar internet access for people, like my husband, who needs to access his work email. And to have to wait for for at least a minute for yahoo.com to appear in a browser ? Great staff, nice facility, an array of amenities, overall good experience! We stayed here for a little over a month with our pets in their basic one bed suite (2 adults + 3 pets). So we experienced just about every aspect of the hotel, and we enjoyed our stay :) I did a through research of the extended stay suites in the area. This one was the most inexpensive for a good sized room, free laundry and some included meals. We could have payed a higher rate for a bigger room elsewhere, with the same amenities, but this hotel was just right for our situation. My favorites: - The front desk staff - everyone was friendly and willing to help us out with directions, extending our stay, moving rooms, our pets and faxing stuff. - Hot & cold breakfast every morning that was yum - Drinks, snacks and meal worthy options on Tues, Wed and Thursday nights. I wish it was every night :) - Housekeeping were very accommodating, quick and got the rooms cleaned when we requested. - The laundry facility is included in the rate and always clean. Busy on the weekends though. - Quiet street near the hotel for walking with some decent green patches for the dogs. - The kitchen in the rooms had all the basics for cooking meals - the bedroom enclosed from the living area, and had 2 TV in the suite Only Issues: - At the Dog Walk on property, either was out of poop bags or the trash was overflowed. At some point the trash got under control, but the bags never filled up. - One of the buildings we stayed in faced plants we discovered we are allergic too...a good week went by before we realized it :( The staff gladly moved us to another room away from the plants. - The door to the suite slams loudly - hopefully you don't have anyone upstairs who leaves his room numerous times starting at 2am read more

I've been around this area for almost a year now, I work over here in Moffett temporarily and I am currently staying here. Out of the other hotels that I have stayed in, this one I find is the best. I have stayed at about 7-8 other hotels in Sunnyvale, Mountain View area But I will definitely stay here. Spacious and lots of ammenties just like the lady under me said. Very clean. Free breakfast 7 days a week, like Real hot breakfast, Eggs, Sausages, Hams, you name it. They even have rice, pretty convenient for a filipino guy like me lol. Im staying here for 6 more months. I was here for one night only since I was in town to watch Rock The Bells. The receptionist at the front desk was really nice, helpful and professional. I was in the two-bedroom two-bedroom suite and it was really nice. Everything seemed new except for the fridge and stove. They had three flat-screens, one in each room and one in the living room. The complimentary breakfast was pretty good and satisfying. There is a pool and hot tub but I did use it. I would definitely go back to this hotel for RTB next year. read more

Unlike other IHG hotels, this one is a not a hotel but a low income housing project. This place is horrible, The pillows are smelly, look inside the pillow, they have yellow stains with human hairs. The noise from the freeway is very loud, feel like sleeping in a freeway rest area. Worst of all, there is a basket ball court where a bunch of teenagers yell and play basket ball. I called the front desk about that, his answer was we don't limit what time they can play basket ball. They also charged a $150 to $300 "no party" deposit even though i am a IHG member and i am staying here with wife and young children. Before I go into detail, I would like to say the front desk staff was always helpful and friendly and my negative experience was not related to them for the most part. When I checked in and got into my room, I was pleasantly surprised at how spacious the room was and really liked the lay out. It came fully furnished with all of the appliances and utensils needed to get me by during my 3 month stay, and even had 2 TVs: 1 for the bedroom and 1 in the living room. The concept of the hotel and the amenities were nice... That bliss was short lived though. First issue: The wifi there kept dropping my devices and would disappear for 30-40 minutes at a time and then come back for about 10 minutes and then disappear...when I called the front desk to inquire, they informed me they were upgrading their internet and that it should be fixed soon. Well, the next day comes around so I call again and get told the same story, this happened every day for the first 5 days of me being there...On day 6 I call, and the person who answered the phone, told me my devices were the issue or that too many people were connected and that I'd have to deal with it, or he could connect me to tech support. I opted for tech support, the gentleman I spoke with was absolutely amazing and right away informed me that upon further review it appeared as though they were having equipment issues/faulty equipment in the area I was at of the hotel, and that someone would be out to fix it...fast forward 5 days, still no fix. I can't work, or communicate with my loved ones via FaceTime or text or anything because the wifi was intermittent and cellular service out there was spotty. Second Issue: The noise level at all hours of the day and night from other residents and cleaning staff was absolutely ridiculous. From people stomping up and down the stairs and on the second and third floor walkways at any given hour, to other residents shouting across walkways to other suites to communicate with each other for lengthy periods of time, to the cleaning staff whistling and singing the ENTIRE day was so obnoxious. There was no respect for other residents' quiet time. While I'm all for having a good time while doing your job, it is disrupting to those of us trying to take a nap or have a conference call or even watch television. There needs to be some sort of communication to other guests staying at the hotel that the walk ways are intended for getting to and from a destination, not hanging out outside your rooms having a 20 minute conversation with someone else that the surrounding suites can hear EVERY NIGHT FOR TWO WEEKS STRAIGHT. Some sort of quiet time rule that after 9pm all resident's should not conglomerate outside of their rooms for conversation out of respect to surrounding suites. Third issue: the bed was extremely uncomfortable, especially for someone staying 3 months... I didn't want to switch hotels at first because I thought I was just being picky, but I am so glad that I requested to be moved. The hotel I'm in now has solid Internet, a comfortable bed, and it's QUIET. This hotel has some cool amenities, like Happy Hour, and complimentary on site laundry, and I enjoyed the outside entrance, but overall, I am glad I moved and wouldn't recommend staying there again... I'm sure everyone's experience here has been different, but mine was just not up to par with quality. read more

I almost spend 6 months in this year here, everything is good except the wi-fi sometime it will be so irritative it never connect.

Stayed here for a niner game through Christmas- very friendly staff - place was decorated with the Christmas spirit - helped me out on some ice for the game - Plenty of parking - very quiet - definitely coming back read more
