Came here for a conference and what a great experience. The General Manager, Murray has such a wonderful and diverse team of over 20+ languages on site. Walking distance from the Eaton Center and many other hot and popular Toronto Locations, it's a great spot to stay when you visit Toronto. Lobby has a bar and the market, which has snacks and other useful items you might need for your trip. Although the hotel has no pool, the gym is well maintained and has just about everything you'll need to get a good sweat on. Very friendly staff, cozy lobby entrance, valet and parking services available and rooms are very spacious and relaxing. DELICIOUS CARROT CAKE! Starbucks coffee via The Market is on site! Would recommend for business, leisure or families.

I'm only reviewing the conference room and the food catering. We are here for divisional update meeting. The conference room is big and bright, but it is a bit cold. There are 2 projectors in the room so it's easier for the whole room to see clearly. Presenter can choose to speak with the mic on the stand or wireless mic to move about the room. The catered lunch had chicken thigh meat no bone. It was pretty tender but a bit too sweet on the BBQ sauce. Coleslaw was fresh and not too sour which I liked. There were also cooked veggies, vegetarian pasta, small toast potatoes, and bread rolls. Some small cakes for dessert. All in all good selection for lunch.

Five nights here on Marriott Rewards points. As a Titanium Elite, I was upgraded to a room on the 17th floor that was comfortable and very quiet this far away from the street noise. Clean and with no slamming doors, there was enough room to spread out my stuff with a king size bed and a sofa. I did not turn on the television. Bathroom was decent sized with the curved shower rail that Marriott does well. I did not utilize the bistro, the business center or the pool. In room coffee was restocked the one day that I intentionally left the DND off the door. The other days, they honored the sign and did not disturb. Housekeeping did a great job resetting the room. The location of the property is good with many restaurants and grocery within two or three blocks. It's also close to the College Subway Station. Main complaint was that the wifi was pretty much useless. I spent most of my time with my laptop tethered to the cell phone. Even in the morning, but especially so in the evening. As well, the elevators were dog slow. [Review 11003 overall, 776 of 2019.]

I came here for a meeting over lunch in The Bistro. The chicken curry soup had a nice flavour but the chicken was stringy and I prefer thicker soups. For my entree, I had the roasted chicken with fries on the side, and coleslaw. Oddly, it was also served with melted butter for dipping. It was half a chicken, a large chicken. I couldn't finish it. A quarter chicken might be a better offering on the menu. Tastewise, it was okay but the fries were limp. My companion had the rigatoni with sausage and spinach. It looked good but could have used more sauce (my preference). Overall, the food was okay, and wasn't far from being better. The hotel has undergone some renovations over the past year and looks good - carpet, paint, lighting.

Great location! Close to downtown and plenty of shopping and good eats right outside the hotel. The train station is located around the corner and a 24 hour convenience store close to the hotel which makes it extremely convenient to pick up stuff. The train really makes it easy to get around town. The beds were on the the softer side but the most important thing is the rooms are clean. There is still construction going around the hotel so the outside area can get a little congested. I didn't get a chance to use the gym in the hotel so I can't comment on it. The lobby area is extremely busy since this is also a convention center. In a nutshell the hotel is great with valet parking. There is a parking lot across the street that is cheaper but I would recommend Just using the hotel valet .You can check in-and-out as many times as you want and just call the valet 10 minutes before coming down and the car will be ready for you. I would stay at this hotel again because the location is just perfect for everything and close to all major attractions in the Toronto area.

We have stayed in downtown Toronto about 4 times previously and this by far was our favorite hotel to date. 1. Location is great - right on Yonge street with plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Subway near by. 2. Hotel - Rooms were remodeled, clean and well appointed. Bed was comfortable. 3. Staff - From housekeeping to front desk, every employee we encountered was very nice and friendly. Icing on the cake was that we always leave a tip each morning ~$5 USD for the housekeeping staff. This time we left a thank you note just to let them know the money was for them. Aileen the housekeeper left a thank you note the next day with a crayons and an activity kit for our 3 yr old son. I'm not sure if this was something they have on them that is provided by Marriott or she used her own tip to purchase but it really showed a personal touch which we greatly appreciated. It's the little things that add up. This will be our preferred hotel next time in town.

Great experience here. We don't ask for much; just have clean rooms and decent hotel service. My boyfriend and I traveled from Chicago all the way to Toronto and didn't book a hotel beforehand since we weren't sure if the trip was actually happening until 3 days prior. We walked in at 9am and were promptly booked for three nights and immediately taken to our room. The room was spacious, clean, and well-kept. For a hotel we just picked and decided, "Screw it, lets stay here!" this hotel was great. The hotel is also conveniently located on Yonge St which allowed us to travel down to the harbor easily while allowing us to easily travel to other neighborhoods as well. Would definitely stay here again. 5/5

I am surprised by the lower rating. This is a very nice, affordable downtown hotel within walking distance of lots of stuff ... it is great for business and personal travel. We drove and used the hotel valet to park. There were no issues with that. there were tons of vehicles going in and out. It turned out we were there during multiple city events (August 2019) that included the Yankees/Bluejays, Rogers Cup, Iron Maidan and Asian food and beer festivals. A lot was going on and there were people everywhere. The hotel processed all of us really well. Our room was very nice and modern. I would say this Marriott is as nice as the regular brand of Marriott I have stayed at in many other cities, but for a lot less. I would definitely stay here again.

We've stayed at this hotel a few times now, typically once a year when we come to Toronto. The hotel is very nice. Staff is friendly and the beds are very comfortable which is my number one concern. We usually have very busy days so I need to make sure I'm getting the most quality sleep at night. I liked the bistro downstairscin the lobby. They offer starbucks drinks and at night it is also a little bar. The mornings were pretty busy but I felt the staff worked quickly to try to expedite the line. My latte was perfect every morning. Bar staff was fun and took very good care of us. This location is close to restaurants and etc.,bso it's convenient for us. This year we also utilized the meeting space for our executive meeting. Meeting room was very spacious and the staff was exceptional. The lunch selection was good and easy to choose. We'll definitely be back next year as long as the price is right. Check in and out was easy and hassle free, even though we had a large group.

Roger's Stadium (Blue Jays), CN Tower and convention center were all in walking distance. I actually arrived early but my status was recognized and my room was ready. Staff were very friendly and responsive throughout my stay. I was upgraded to a one bedroom which was welcomed. The room was large and comfortable. Better than the family's last stay in SoCal. The only room issue i had was the location of the in room safe. It was on the top shelf of the closet and the closet door blocked the safe door from opening fully. The other issue was 1 out of 3 elevators was offline the entire stay. It did make the waits a little longer. On the second floor was a very small gym but it did have a multifunction weight gym and cardio equipment. A water dispenser was located here. The heated indoor pool and spa was in the room next door. Breakfast was decent with a rotating menu over my stay. Scrambled eggs, omelettes, pork or turkey sausages, egg bites, seasoned potatoes, etc were some of the hot offerings. Cereals, breads and prepackaged yogurts were some of the cold items. They had both regular and oat milk which was nice. One note was that you have to provide your name and room before being admitted. There was a good amount of seating and was never crowded. In the evening the bar was open. Would come back and stay here again.

They especially enjoyed looking out the large window at the convention center, CN Tower and Lake Ontario. It was also nice having the extra (1.5) bathroom. The beds were very comfortable to sleep on and the housekeeping staff was almost invisible (a good thing). Since we got club level, it was convenient to grab food and snacks in the club lounge. Quite kid friendly, although with toddlers we were a bit self-conscious of our kids being too loud and messy. You can imagine my terror when my 18 month old threw a cup of milk on the lounge carpet. Luckily, the lounge staff is wonderful and welcoming and were very understanding of this mishap. The pool is very nice and heated. A little less picturesque than the St. Regis pool (which is located on a high floor) and smaller than the Shangri-La pool but still very nice. There are other amenities that are good for kids such as a free treasure hunt, complete with a prize at the end. Ritz Kids also has other paid activities that we did not do like baking classes, in-room camping, movie nights and family picnics. The hotel itself is conveniently located near the CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium, train museum and Rogers Centre. Most of these venues are within 10 minutes walking distance. I think it is also near the underground PATH, that connects many of Toronto's downtown buildings so you can avoid walking outside if so desired. Overall a great luxurious and family friendly hotel in downtown Toronto. Great for families visiting harborfront, CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium or Rogers Center. My only minor gripe is that the lobby is not particularly impressive.
