    What was left of our soap by day 2 of our stay

    Upon arrival, we were informed that housekeeping service is now provided only every other day. Since our stay was short, this meant that we received no housekeeping at all. The lack of daily service significantly diminished our comfort. Our single bar of soap had disintegrated, leaving us without enough for basic handwashing. We also ran out of clean glasses and had to request replacements from the front desk. The staff member's reaction when we asked for four glasses was less than welcoming. In addition, both trash cans were overflowing, and I even had to replace the toilet paper roll myself--something I've never had to do at a Marriott property. Overall, we paid over $500 for our two-night stay and felt that all we received was a bed and a set of towels. Even small touches, like complimentary water, were inconsistently offered to guests.

    I called this courtyard Marriott before booking to make sure they could accommodate me and my two kids arriving between 11 and 11:45pm on July 18th. They said they'd happily accommodate us and that an attendant would be at the front desk to help us check in and get into our room as soon as possible. When we arrived at 11:40pm, the attendant did not know how to use the computer to check us in and it ended up taking 17 minutes to check us in. I don't know if it was the system or the attendant but this took way too long, regardless. Having two children who are exhausted and waiting for their bed wait that long was unacceptable. I worked at a hotel during college so I know what the standard is for most hotels. Then we got to our room and my son pulled back the sheets to find chips all over the place. This made me worry that someone else had been in this bed and it was not fully clean! At the rate we paid, this should not have happened. I would've been fired if a room had this much of a chip mess in the bed! There was also black hair in the bathroom. Just a really unclean hotel. It looks really nice from afar, and from all of the professional pictures that are featured on their website but it's not. I tried to reach out to management to see if there could be an explanation for this mess of a room, but all the manager did was say he was sorry. We will not be coming back.

    What a stay. Not sure where to begin. Front desk last night at check in was some of the worst customer service I have ever received anywhere. We were in town for a Christmas party and being a Bonvoy member I chose a local Marriott. Knowing the evening was going to go like this I would have taken the family to a motel six. Room was dirty eyelashes on the shower wall... the entire hotel smelt of weed. Obvious water damage in the room. I would avoid this hotel if possible.

    After reading the reviews(bug in one room and out dated) I wanted to view the room for myself. I been a bonvoy member over 10 years (platinum elite). Whenever I book a room or prior to booking i request to view the room. At this courtyard the customer service rep stated " we are not allowed to let you see the room prior to booking only after you pay". I drove an hour to this location courtyard in Valencia ca allowed me to to view two rooms. I didn't book there because the rooms had an horrible smells. So I will not book this hotel if I can't view the cleanness of the room. This hotel also mandates guest wear mask. Customer service wears his mask. There are restaurants in walking distance.

    I do a ton of traveling up and down the coast for work. I typically stay at Fairfield in Moorpark (amazing btw) but I wanted to explore the hotels closer to the area I will be working at tomorrow morning. I saw photos of this one and let me just say , do not let the outside fool you. Looks like the outside and lobby area was nicely remodeled but the rooms were cheaply redone if not at all. The lock on the door is on its last life (not cool!) furnishings are cheap and falling apart. Bathroom tile is cracked and discolored. Just not worth 250 a night.

    Covid-19 protocols: All staff members wore masks. My room was very clean. Customer service: Superb! I had booked a room with a king-sized bed. Unfortunately, their king rooms were oversold, so they gave me a room with two queen beds and offered me a breakfast. I felt their offer was fair and reasonable. They earned a five star review for the way they took care of me. The room had a minor defect. The light switch on the wall between the queen bed headboards had a loose ring holding it in place. This affected the switch's ability to turn on and off. I tightened the ring finger tight and notified the front desk after I completed my mobile check out. The woman at the front desk was grateful that I had reported the room defect. Note: I have learned that attitude plays a huge role when customer service issues arise. A little respect and kindness go a long, long way when something goes wrong. The location off highway 118 is very convenient and there are a couple fast casual restaurants close nearby.

    Staff super friendly. Breakfast, on site, made to order, delicious choices. Rooms, amenities clean and orderly. Centrally located.

At Joanne's recommendation, we arrived early to the continental breakfast the following morning (~730a) as it understandably gets crowded later. Breakfast was decent - eggs, sausage, vegetarian chorizo, tortillas, waffle maker, fruit, cereal, bread, yogurt, beverages. On our last day, we were looking to fill our cooler with some ice before heading out. Unfortunately the vending machine on our floor ran out of ice so we went looking around the lobby area where the rooms are but couldn't find anything. That's when the sweetest employee, Patty (in the kitchen/buffet area), gave us ice from their kitchen's commercial ice machine. Huge shoutout to Joanne and Patty! However, my experience took a very concerning turn when I was suddenly locked out of my room. When I went to the front desk for assistance, I was told--very loudly and in front of other guests--that I had an outstanding balance. This was both shocking and embarrassing, especially because the hotel was already holding $2,685.00 on my credit card. Despite this, I was required to make an additional payment of $1,400.00, even though I had only stayed four nights at that point. The following day, I was locked out again and told there was still a balance and that the hotel had been attempting to contact me. I later discovered they had been calling the wrong phone number. As a loyal Hilton Honors member who travels frequently and has stayed with Hilton properties many times, I found the way this situation was handled extremely unprofessional and humiliating. I am currently disputing the charges, as the hotel held $2,685.00 and I was later charged an additional $2,700.00, which appeared excessive and was never clearly explained. In addition to the billing issues, the condition of the room was disappointing. The property was dated and not well maintained, and we experienced ongoing plumbing problems, including toilets that would not flush due to apparent sewer line issues. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise others to proceed with caution when booking this property. What should have been a routine extended stay became an unnecessarily stressful and embarrassing situation that has significantly impacted my confidence in staying with Hilton in the future.

Apparently it's not easy to find a hotel that would check us in close to 1 am, but this place welcomed us with open arms. The Front Desk clerk was so friendly! The other caveat being, we have a pit bull and cat with us. Sorry to the neighbors as Shredder decided to be a chatty-kitty upon arrival. She was not happy but settled in quickly! Room was super clean, bed comfy, shower head high with no hard water stains, and it was quiet. Parking spaces are wide and plentiful. Overall, no big complaints. Oh, and I've used this chain many times in the past; I dig it for the kitchen, weekly rates and late-checkout.     I had a reservation that my company had paid for. My manager even went to the hotel to pay for it…read moreso that it was taken care of when I got there. Apparently, this hotel is unable to manage a process as simple as that, because this is the second time in a row this has happened. I was asked to give another form of payment, and when I complained loudly, but without profanity, I was told my reservation was canceled and that was that. Go ahead and stay here if you like a filthy hotel with broken shower curtains, stairwells that are rarely, if ever, swept, hallways that are vacuumed only when the pet hair from extended stay guests creeps out into the hallway, and an attitude from a manager who should never be in a customer facing job.
