What was left of our soap by day 2 of our stay

Upon arrival, we were informed that housekeeping service is now provided only every other day. Since our stay was short, this meant that we received no housekeeping at all. The lack of daily service significantly diminished our comfort. Our single bar of soap had disintegrated, leaving us without enough for basic handwashing. We also ran out of clean glasses and had to request replacements from the front desk. The staff member's reaction when we asked for four glasses was less than welcoming. In addition, both trash cans were overflowing, and I even had to replace the toilet paper roll myself--something I've never had to do at a Marriott property. Overall, we paid over $500 for our two-night stay and felt that all we received was a bed and a set of towels. Even small touches, like complimentary water, were inconsistently offered to guests.

Tortilla chip crumbs in the bed. Was our room cleaned from the last people who stayed here?!

I called this courtyard Marriott before booking to make sure they could accommodate me and my two kids arriving between 11 and 11:45pm on July 18th. They said they'd happily accommodate us and that an attendant would be at the front desk to help us check in and get into our room as soon as possible. When we arrived at 11:40pm, the attendant did not know how to use the computer to check us in and it ended up taking 17 minutes to check us in. I don't know if it was the system or the attendant but this took way too long, regardless. Having two children who are exhausted and waiting for their bed wait that long was unacceptable. I worked at a hotel during college so I know what the standard is for most hotels. Then we got to our room and my son pulled back the sheets to find chips all over the place. This made me worry that someone else had been in this bed and it was not fully clean! At the rate we paid, this should not have happened. I would've been fired if a room had this much of a chip mess in the bed! There was also black hair in the bathroom. Just a really unclean hotel. It looks really nice from afar, and from all of the professional pictures that are featured on their website but it's not. I tried to reach out to management to see if there could be an explanation for this mess of a room, but all the manager did was say he was sorry. We will not be coming back.

What a stay. Not sure where to begin. Front desk last night at check in was some of the worst customer service I have ever received anywhere. We were in town for a Christmas party and being a Bonvoy member I chose a local Marriott. Knowing the evening was going to go like this I would have taken the family to a motel six. Room was dirty eyelashes on the shower wall... the entire hotel smelt of weed. Obvious water damage in the room. I would avoid this hotel if possible.

After reading the reviews(bug in one room and out dated) I wanted to view the room for myself. I been a bonvoy member over 10 years (platinum elite). Whenever I book a room or prior to booking i request to view the room. At this courtyard the customer service rep stated " we are not allowed to let you see the room prior to booking only after you pay". I drove an hour to this location courtyard in Valencia ca allowed me to to view two rooms. I didn't book there because the rooms had an horrible smells. So I will not book this hotel if I can't view the cleanness of the room. This hotel also mandates guest wear mask. Customer service wears his mask. There are restaurants in walking distance.

Ummmm very outdated. The pic does it no justice. It's a dingy yellow color.

I do a ton of traveling up and down the coast for work. I typically stay at Fairfield in Moorpark (amazing btw) but I wanted to explore the hotels closer to the area I will be working at tomorrow morning. I saw photos of this one and let me just say , do not let the outside fool you. Looks like the outside and lobby area was nicely remodeled but the rooms were cheaply redone if not at all. The lock on the door is on its last life (not cool!) furnishings are cheap and falling apart. Bathroom tile is cracked and discolored. Just not worth 250 a night.

Covid-19 protocols: All staff members wore masks. My room was very clean. Customer service: Superb! I had booked a room with a king-sized bed. Unfortunately, their king rooms were oversold, so they gave me a room with two queen beds and offered me a breakfast. I felt their offer was fair and reasonable. They earned a five star review for the way they took care of me. The room had a minor defect. The light switch on the wall between the queen bed headboards had a loose ring holding it in place. This affected the switch's ability to turn on and off. I tightened the ring finger tight and notified the front desk after I completed my mobile check out. The woman at the front desk was grateful that I had reported the room defect. Note: I have learned that attitude plays a huge role when customer service issues arise. A little respect and kindness go a long, long way when something goes wrong. The location off highway 118 is very convenient and there are a couple fast casual restaurants close nearby.

The most striking feature of all was the precision demonstrated by Soltana Mulhearn, and her team from Velvet Alley Events. https://www.instagram.com/velvetalleyevents/ From first meeting at rehearsal Soltana greeted the party, took us on a tour of the lovely property, and explained how the ceremony would be conducted. Soltana's deft handling of the 25, or so, members of the wedding party, all while being patient, and with a smile, was more than reassuring to me, and the others as well. Her staff seamlessly underpinned the event. Her staff were professional, well trained, and just beautiful people. A live event can go "off" at any time. Soltana kept the wedding on track from start to finish, and all with that smile! I would, without hesitation, highly recommend Eden Gardens, and the amazing services of Velvet Alley Events. She was very reassuring since we live 6 hours away in SF and made sure everything we wanted was taken care of. If you want a day-of coordinator, you can hire Laura to take care of all the important details on your big day. We also had our rehearsal dinner here (you can pay extra) to rent out the house on the premises or you could just rent out the huge outdoor area in the back of the house. Table and chairs are included with the rental fee. We decided to go with DJ's catering that Laura recommended and they took great care of the catering + drinks part. That is another business I'd highly recommend. Laura has a pay-it-forward program where you can donate one item from your wedding decor and you get free access to the entire room of decor such as signs, card boxes, table numbers, bar signage, vases, etc to use for your wedding which we made great use of. Our ceremony took place in the front grassy area and the reception dinner in the cobblestone area. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how nice everything was afterwards. We had no hiccups or issues on the day of the wedding, the weather was in the low 80s and by the time dinner came around, it was perfect temperatures. The venue offers plenty of greenery and shade even on a hot day. There is also plenty of parking spaces for guests and areas for guests to roam around the venue during cocktail hour. We hope you choose RDLP when it's your turn to tie the knot, we couldn't have made a better decision.

There are multiple spaces that can be used. Indoor and outdoor dining areas available. Pond with ducks and geese. Lots of paths to walk around in to kill time. I see that there is a residence in the premises. If this is available for the bridal party to use to get ready, this facility is even better than I thought. Food was pretty good too.

It also features exhibits covering significant periods of American history. A section of the library highlights President Reagan's role in promoting freedom through his opposition to the Soviet Union, communism, and terrorism. This is an excellent destination for a family outing, with engaging, hands-on exhibits for both children and adults. The cafeteria serves meals that are a step above typical fast-food fare. Even if you are not hungry, it is worth stopping in for a glass of water and taking in the beautiful views. Whether you are a history enthusiast or believe that authoritarianism and other threats to freedom are once again on the rise, this library is well worth a visit. Then, many other buildings are also tucked into the areas behind the museum, so it is indeed much larger than I expected! The day I was here, they were setting up for a conference (2026 Reagan National Economic Forum), a few days off, so tons of white tents, stages, and chairs were all over - ruined some great photo opportunities! I couldn't even see the F-14 and the Abrams tank out back until I was between the many tents, but on a normal day, it would be easier to approach them. The entrance is at the back of the entrance courtyard, and I strongly suggest you get the audio tour! It fills in many gaps in the display signage (which, strangely for me, was often hard to read - lighting? Not enough contrast between text and background? Type size?). Most displays had a number that you accessed on the device, which was itself easy to use. But be aware - before you turn in your device at the bookstore or entrance desk, go outside to the back, where the Berlin Wall segment, the Gold Star Families Memorial Monument, and the Reagan memorial site are; there are several displays out there with audio guide numbers, but I had already turned in my device, not knowing this. The America 250 "special exhibit," which had opened the week before, was worth the extra admission fee. Many wonderful, old artifacts, many from the 1700s and 1800s, that really bring you face to face with various periods of the nation's birth and growth. There is even a lower floor to that exhibit space, with large paintings in terms of size and grandeur, along with many displays of items such as vintage flags, rifles of all types from eras gone by, historical documents, garments and uniforms, and much more. Overall, rather than repeating many other reviews here, I will point out that you should set aside a day here to ensure you have enough time to visit and read all the displays you can. There was a ton of new information I never knew about Reagan! And one of my favorite aspects was the many quotes of his placed throughout the museum. So many were beautiful for their principles and what we - and America - are called to do in life. In these times, to hear these words from an iconic Republican president truly struck me in ways I had not anticipated. The Air Force One display, of course, is also cool. And the helicopter, Marin One! And the various vehicles, including an authentic "beast" (If I remember the nickname properly) and a Secret Service chase vehicle. There is also on the floor above the vehicles a history of the Secret Service, and on the ground floor, a mural depicting all of the planes in history that have officially flown a president. The pub in the hangar was closed, but you could peek at it from above. Much history, many beautiful displays in the special "America 250" exhibit, and the outdoor F-117 Nighthawk Stealth Fighter, M1 Abrams tank, and F-14 are must-sees, but you need to find them! May have to ask directions to them. And of course, the Oval Office is different as well. This one is subtle, designed like a comfortable ranch living room with western desert color themes, and it is always fun to step into the office and imagine the conversations that happened there. And the jellybeans! They, too, are there. If you have a day in or near north LA or Simi Valley itself, give it a visit.
