inside one draw..half the others the same

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel last year in May. This May we also booked a room for three days. However this year, I found the room VERY lacking in Cleanliness! There was food smeared in two places on the front of the microwave, as well as on the inside door window. The desk chair covering had a few stains on it...yuk. Put a pillow case over that to sit on it. There were also little piles of dirt in half the draws. While the bathroom looked clean, it seemed very obvious that the shower metal features had old soap scum on them. Gross. I doubt the shower tub was even cleaned! And there was built up soap scrum on the wall soap holder. All the light switches had black dirt on, under and behind them. The toilet paper holders also had spots on them, like they don't get cleaned and shined. I am a professional house cleaner and I know built up dirt when I see it. There was a letter on the desk by the CEO, Tim Lewis, telling us how they are making an extra effort to make sure their rooms are nice and clean. That made me LOL! After sending Mr. Lewis an email and also leaving a voice mail message, I got No reply at all. So, because of that I am now writing this review of my visit here for others to see! The Quality of the Grand Vista has gone down.

Room entry door inch wide open spaces around the frame , unsafe and allow noise in

This Hotel is filthy and unsanitary, carpets unwashed , dirt everywhere. Cracks in the sides of the entry room door . No in room safe as was advertised on their web site . Walls paper then we were up all night listening to people wal around and a baby crying all night . Rude foul mouthed reception at the front checking in, curse words nasty foul words exchan between employees,

    Bed bug.

I was looking forward to staying here. The lobby was nice and building was nostalgic. Before I can unpack and get ready for bed I pulled a corner of the blanket over and saw a bed bug. The response I got it "Oh wow you usually don't see them" implying they're common and well hidden. I was offered another room, not even a refund or a meal. I will not be staying here again. I travel for business and will give my money to another hotel.

Mold on the ceiling by the bathroom door....

When the reservation was made, the continental breakfast was included with the $700+/ 5 night fare I had paid.  Upon going to the restaurant, they asked me to give them a ticket for the breakfast. Ok... No problem... Went to the front desk, and asked for a ticket. The woman behind the counter and manager were both illogical and refused to provide me with the breakfast ticket I had paid for. Then they had the audacity to say that I had to pay an extra $15 per day for this. They tried to utilize technical language, to come up with answers such as "we have been having problems with the restaurant", etc. I knew they were all lying right through their teeth, in front of me. Any other place would have been more accommodating and more logical about the situation. I saw people getting continental breakfast cards handed right to them, as they passed the front desk. The agents didn't even look up their info. This infuriated me even more. Since they have decided to string me along with their bullshit, I'll reveal some ugly discoveries in my room...  My room's bathroom had a cigarette odor entrapped in it. I don't smoke, and had no idea where the scent was coming from. I had to prop the door with a garbage can to allow the AC to get rid of it. There was mold buildup on the bathroom ceiling, due to moisture and the door closing automatically. A shower tile was literally ready to fall out, with the press of one finger. The towels and bedding are as cheap as you can imagine.  I read other negative reviews about this place, and agree with the obvious ones. This place needs a MAJOR management and staff change. It also needs some renovations. I'm a carpenter, and can easily point things out. There is no way I'm coming back here again. They just want more money, and will do anything to get it. My advice for you, would be to book your stay ELSEWHERE. I am being VERY GENEROUS, by giving them 2 stars!

However, my experience took a very concerning turn when I was suddenly locked out of my room. When I went to the front desk for assistance, I was told--very loudly and in front of other guests--that I had an outstanding balance. This was both shocking and embarrassing, especially because the hotel was already holding $2,685.00 on my credit card. Despite this, I was required to make an additional payment of $1,400.00, even though I had only stayed four nights at that point. The following day, I was locked out again and told there was still a balance and that the hotel had been attempting to contact me. I later discovered they had been calling the wrong phone number. As a loyal Hilton Honors member who travels frequently and has stayed with Hilton properties many times, I found the way this situation was handled extremely unprofessional and humiliating. I am currently disputing the charges, as the hotel held $2,685.00 and I was later charged an additional $2,700.00, which appeared excessive and was never clearly explained. In addition to the billing issues, the condition of the room was disappointing. The property was dated and not well maintained, and we experienced ongoing plumbing problems, including toilets that would not flush due to apparent sewer line issues. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise others to proceed with caution when booking this property. What should have been a routine extended stay became an unnecessarily stressful and embarrassing situation that has significantly impacted my confidence in staying with Hilton in the future.

Out front it is super loud from the freeway (80 decibles) but didn't notice it while in the room. Service, breakfast and rooms are not really Hilton quality, but nothing too really complain about, other than they're showing their age. What followed was one of the most humiliating, discriminatory, and dehumanizing experiences of my life. A payment miscommunication arose: front desk staff (Melony and Rozanne) had told me I could only pay at the front desk, but when the time came, there was a dispute. I pleaded with them from my room -- I could barely stand, let alone walk -- and explained my condition clearly. They refused to accommodate me. The manager, Jazlynne, then demanded I come to the front desk myself, which required me to painfully walk past roughly twenty doors down the hallway on broken limbs. I made that agonizing trip. And I was still denied service. What happened next was beyond unprofessional -- Jazlynne verbally assaulted me, yelled, made racially charged remarks, and unleashed a barrage of extreme obscenities at me. She then locked herself in her office and called the police. I -- a disabled person, barely able to move -- was effectively evicted on the spot. My belongings were already moved in. I had to pack everything up myself, call an Uber, and scramble to find alternate accommodations that weren't even set up yet. I then spent three months attempting to file a complaint with the corporate office. I called once a week. Every single time, I was the one reaching out -- they never once called me back, despite repeatedly assuring me they would. I was told my complaint had been "escalated" three times. Eventually, I was told coldly and without explanation that "management will no longer be doing business with me." When I pressed the employee further, it became clear the complaint had never actually been escalated at all. They strung me along for three months, ignored me, and quietly dropped my complaint. This hotel discriminated against a disabled person in crisis, subjected me to racial abuse, physically forced me out, and then covered it up at the corporate level. Zero stars if I could. Do not stay here.

I arrived after a 5-hour drive expecting a decent stay, only to walk into what can only be described as a neglected, filthy, and outdated property. From the moment you step into the lobby, it's obvious this hotel hasn't seen proper maintenance in years. Chipped paint, damaged drywall, and floors that look like they haven't been vacuumed or deep-cleaned in ages. The air feels grimy, and the entire space screams of a place long past due for a full remodel. The room was somehow worse. The kitchenware looks like it was picked up off the side of the freeway--mismatched, old, and questionable at best. The refrigerator is outdated and visibly dirty, the microwave janky, and the oven hood feels like it was salvaged from a 1970s garage sale. The stovetop? Just odd and out of place. The bathroom initially appeared dirty, but it turns out the sink and tub are just covered in deep scratches and wear that make them look filthy no matter how clean they might be. The carpet, though, is beyond saving--dark grease stains everywhere, threadbare patches, and an overall feeling that it hasn't been sanitized in a very long time. I didn't even feel comfortable walking barefoot. Walls throughout the room are poorly painted, with patches of missing paint high and low--this isn't just cosmetic damage; it's years of neglect. I was booked here for six months through my company, but I won't be staying. This location is a disgusting pigsty and a health concern. It's clear Extended Stay America has chosen to milk profits while completely ignoring the basic standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and guest experience. Avoid this place at all cost.
