Beautiful hotel near the Hudson. Conveniently located in a little shopping center and close to other great plazas. Rooms are well kept, spacious, with comfy beds. The shower is a little tricky with the hot water needing to be turnt well past hot to get hot water. Nice breakfast buffet that's $16 per person. Beautiful gym and pool. Lots of hotel leakage problems. Ceiling was leaking on my floor and ruined my hair/shoes no care from the front desk. Day time front desk staff are unprofessional especially the front desk supervisor who claimed to be the manager but the wall plaque said otherwise. Huge attitude to multiple guests throughout the morning including myself. I signed a restaurant receipt for a certain total but then charged double the price on my room bill. Discussed this with the supervisor "manager" who claimed the restaurant's system was different than the front desk so she couldn't make changes and had an attitude about adjusting the bill when they were at fault. I would think in that her capacity as a "manager" she could make changes, no? Shrug. It was finally adjusted but with attitude. If you don't press an issue, they will try to get over on you. First it couldn't be adjusted and all of a sudden changes could be made. Weird. Parking is $15 per night with parking at the adjacent garage on the 3rd floor. No direct access to the hotel from the garage. A little far from JC/Hoboken but closer to the NY ferry near the Envue.

Hotel is clean and neat. Room smelled clean. Easy access to from main road. Pool was cold and only two towels for four people. Otherwise add this to your places to stay.

Bathroom when I checked in

This is the worst experience I have ever had in my life. It is literally a nightmare. The room was not clean and the bathroom has the remains of the guest before me and there are empty boxes under the sofa. When I went to the reception, they asked me why you didn't tell us in advance as you arrived at the hotel at 12 am and told them the situation of the room The next morning, and this clearly doubted the credibility of the guest. Then, after speaking to the supervisor, he asked me to leave the room until it was cleaned, and I actually did that, and my children and I went out, and for more than two hours it was not cleaned, so I returned with my children to the room without cleaning. I feel insulted indeed, by the way, the sirens went off in the morning like crazy and me and my family and all the guests rushed out of the hotel and it turned out to be a mistake, then we went back to our rooms without anyone even contacting us or offering any apologies

No water for coffee was told to use tap.

Staff was confused and not professional. They offered coffee with no bottled water. When I called the front desk, they told us to use the faucet pretty much tap water for a coffee. They were very unorganized the luggage and what we were told was not what happened. Room has a terrible view. NOT worth the money at all. Better places further towards fort Lee

Trash

Visited here for an overnight stay. Check in was quick and easy and the hotel itself was very clean and modern looking- it's also in a great location- next to several malls and restaurants. My only complaint was the overflowing trash bins in the parking areas. The bins are right near the elevators so you have to walk by them - these are very unsanitary and attract vermin.

The Food: * Starters: The hummus and muhammara with pita were great. They also gave us bread with EVOO--it looked perfectly crusty on the outside and soft in the middle, and it tasted just as good as it looked! * Mains: I couldn't decide between lamb and salmon. The waiter suggested lamb, but I went with the salmon and it was the best decision. The citrus sauce on top was divine! Wish it came with rice instead of just veggies (though the veggies were tasty). The Service: The staff was friendly and service was good, but a heavy language barrier made it hard to understand the waiter, so he wasn't very helpful with menu questions. Overall, a great experience. I'd definitely come back later in the evening to catch the live music!

Mediterranean @ Edgewater, NJ, 3.5 stars…read more Decided to try the restaurant since it was 10 minutes walk from my sister's place. We had a dinner around 8pm on Friday but the restaurant was not busy at all. It appears it used to be a cuban restaurant but v the owner changed and became a Mediterranean. The menu was very simple and it was a BYBO. We told our server that we wanted to share every dishes. We really liked the hot crusty bread served with a spread and it also tasted good with babaganoush. The pita bread was stale and burnt which came out with the babaganoush. The beet goat cheese walnut was refreshing. The fried calamari was crispy and went well with tahini based sauce. The lamb shishi kebob was tasty but the portion was very small and it was chewy. There was too many overcooked carrots as a side. You coould park on the street or valet parking was available.

Held at the beautiful rooftop garden at Rockefeller Center overlooking St. Patrick's Cathedral, the setting alone was worth the trip. As the sun set behind the Manhattan skyline, guests were treated to an evening that felt equal parts whiskey education, culinary experience, and celebration of American craftsmanship. The WhistlePig team put together an outstanding lineup of cocktails and rare whiskey pours, each thoughtfully paired with a multi-course dinner. Every course felt intentional, from the beautifully presented appetizers and seasonal produce to the perfectly cooked beef course and creative dessert finale. The food wasn't just an accompaniment to the whiskey it stood on its own. One of the highlights of the evening was host Max Miller of Tasting History. His storytelling added depth and context to each pour, connecting American history, whiskey culture, and the culinary experience in a way that kept the entire table engaged. What impressed me most was the attention to detail. The tablescape, service, pacing, glassware, cocktail program, and overall guest experience were executed flawlessly. Nothing felt rushed, and every element contributed to the story of the evening. WhistlePig continues to prove why they are one of the most innovative names in American whiskey. This wasn't simply a tasting event it was an immersive experience that celebrated history, hospitality, and craftsmanship at the highest level. If WhistlePig hosts another dinner like this, don't hesitate. Buy the ticket. -- Jeffrey Umaña @jeffrey.umana

From a wedding guest point of view…read more Wedding was right before the December Storm. This is rated as one of the most expensive venues in NYC. Yes, the views are amazing, however the weather has to be just perfect. Especially if you plan to use the outdoor patio. Which, why wouldn't you? The space itself is not for large groups, wedding party size approximately 50. Plus the wait, bar & other service staff. The location is prime, if you plan to take a car, remember this is NYC & traffic is bad. You can probably walk faster than a cab or car service. Especially during the month of December. NYC gets more visitors in December than all year long. The venue has 2 bathrooms for women which is not good, however worked for this crowd. Think of this location as a once in a lifetime, only if you have the funds for this location. As guests we were thrilled to be invited to such a lavish wedding!
