My husband and I were here on a work trip. We drove down and it was snowing. His clients had a volleyball tournament they were playing in the next day. I was about a four hour and a half trip from Denver. We arrive at the hotel and the check in process was quick and easy. It smelled like fresh baked cookies when you entered. Yes, they were putting out freshly bake cookies. Our room was on the 3 floor and it smelled like vanilla through the halls. They had nice decor and the room was very spacious. We had an issue with the bathroom m. You flush the toilet and water ran from it. So they changed our room out to another one on the 5th floor and gave us complimentary food passes to the restaurant downstairs. The other room was just as nice and it was a king bed and very spacious too. We had a nice view from the window. Over all our stay was nice. read more

I stayed here for business unfortunately. I felt like I went back in time when i entered my room with a Panasonic plasma TV bed was very uncomfortable with spring's going in my back. The rug was from 2000 maybe 2001. Everything was just outdated and old. If you have to stay here I understand if you have no choice but if you do have a choice, stay elsewhere not to mention it was fresher outside than it was in my room because the AC unit is probably from 1995 horrible experience. The only thing that was nice was the lobby. They updated it with a bistro so they can make money everything else is outdated. read more

The courtyard in Grand Junction was just fine. Check-in was smooth and helpful. The queen bedroom was actually pretty spacious. The bathroom was an adequate size. I saw a tiny bit of pink mold in the tub. I didn't like seeing that. The refrigerator was nice and cold and clean . The coffee makers in hotel rooms usually have a circular pod packet compartment or it's a K cup maker, here it is a circular pod packet coffee maker. I am not a fan of those because usually I bring along my own K-cups. it was very quiet and I didn't hear too much noise at all and there was construction across the parking lot and I didn't hear any of that. They sell Starbucks coffee, but in the morning when I went to get some, I asked for a vanilla latte with almond milk and all I was given back was coffee with almond milk. I didn't find that out until after the little coffee shop closed. They sold hot food and I ordered breakfast quesadillas and they were so delicious. It really is just a basic place to sleep and shower or if you're on a business trip or a road trip. read more

My experience here was fantastic! We originally booked for two nights but ended up staying for three and they even provided a small cleaning session during our stay, which a lot of hotels are not doing unless you stay longer than five days i believe. The hotel itself is very clean and elegant. They do offer happy hour and I even saw they had some cookies out for customers. The best thing for me was that the service was exceptional and they left an Enstroms candy as a welcoming gift! Loved it and the only complaint is that I wanted another one. Our room was spacious and the Mountain View's were breathtaking. Very quiet so received plenty of rest. Bed was comfortable. A must stay when visiting GJ! read more

Pool was down. Neighboring pool we could use was very cold and no hot tub. Room was mediocre and not very clean.

Don't stay here until they do some renovation. This hotel really needs money invested in it. They need to hire more people for the front desk and housekeeping. Things need updated from the bedsheets to the TVs. My friends room which was supposedly cleaned, never was and he had to come back down to get another room. My room wasn't ready so I said no problem, I'll go to dinner and check in when I get back. Room still not ready after dinner and housekeeping wasn't going to get to it. So I was assigned another room. I get to my room and I could tell it is well worn and needs renovating. I go to take a shower and realize there is hair all over the bathroom floor, counter and toilet. Not sure if housekeeping sucks at cleaning or their tools suck. I cleaned much of that hair up myself. I have an adjoining room door in my room. I have no idea who is next-door, if anyone, but I want to make sure it's locked good. Guess what? It doesn't lock! WTF! Whoever installed the deadbolt, put it in the wrong place so it doesn't line up to actually lock. I go to get into bed, pull the covers back and there's hair in the bed! Are you freaking kidding me. Are the sheets clean? Are housekeepers leaving their damn hair everywhere they go? Back down to the front desk where it's still busy and poor Jennifer is still by herself but making the best of it with a good attitude and multitasking. I get clean sheets and go back to my room to make the bed. I also wanted to throw up when I saw the stain on the mattress protector. Bed needs replaced too. It's life is up and not supportive anymore, but since this hotel is crap, why replace beds on time. Also, when putting the clean pillow case in a pillow, I see the case I took off is thin as 1 ply toilet paper. The fitness room leaves a lot to be desired also. If you are into working out at any level beyond walking on the treadmill, stay somewhere else. I sent all this info to the manager and got the standard I'm sorry response. Will anything actually get fixed? Are deadbolts getting reinstalled to keep people safe? Are they addressing multiple items with housekeeping? Are they hiring decent people? I've stayed at the Springhill Suites and the Courtyard in Grand Junction. I am going to compare the two for people deciding on where to stay in Grand Junction. The Springhill Suites is closer to their cute little down town area (it is right at the end of the Main Street), but I got a better nights sleep at the Courtyard (less noise). Springhill Suites had the typical buffet breakfast (eggs, breakfast meat, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, pastries, coffee, tea, etc.) while the Courtyard gave you a voucher for something at their cafe. With the voucher you could get one of three hot items and a drink or two cold items and a drink. There were quite a few other items on the cafe menu that weren't part of the breakfast. I didn't really understand why we couldn't just have a dollar amount to spend there and just order off the full menu because nothing was pre made, we had to wait for it to be made once we ordered. Then it was billed to your room and the hotel discounted it off your bill. I used my voucher to get the oatmeal that came with a few berries on top and a few berries in the oatmeal (also came with maple syrup) and a bottled water. Snapped a picture of the oatmeal for you! It was good! This hotel is located next door to the Residence Inn. There is a big parking lot connecting the two properties. Parking was $9 a night. Despite a big parking lot, the lot was packed when I got back in the evening, but I did find parking. I don't remember what it cost to park at Springhill Suites, but same situation, big parking lot, pretty full in evening, but managed to find a spot. Hope this review was helpful. The good We were traveling through on our way back to Denver. Stayed overnight in late April. We were looking for a last-minute hotel before crossing the pass. Checked in about 1030pm and the lady working the desk was amazing. She was funny prompt, and got us all checked in, it was a fantastic experience. Set up in a room on the second floor, which was fine. Room is very clean. Mini fridge and microwave.Desk, couch, king size bed, tub, shower. Boede was very comfortable. Air conditioner was quiet, which was very nice. Too many times they sound like a diesel truck. Showerhead, hot water, and good water pressure tells were extra soft and fluffy Restaurants in coffee shop all within a half a mile The bad Hotel rooms are a little tired and dated. The window in our room was cracked, shower, while clean, did have signs of some water damage. The wallpaper is peeling a little bit in the bathroom, and all the usual scuffs and bumps on the furniture. Walls are a little thin and the door slam, so if you're a light sleeper hope you don't have kids near your room. Overall would definitely stay here again, Price was right and was generally a good experience. read more

Two MAJOR key points everyone needs to read prior to booking here: 1) NO FREE Continental Breakfast 2) $6 PARKING FEE, PER DAY You'd assume in 2020 that most (if not all) hotels would offer free breakfast for their guests, ESPECIALLY for the price you pay to stay here, as well as being branded as a "Marriott". THERE IS NO FREE BREAKFAST. Even the $50 a night run down "meth lab" Econo Lodge near downtown Salt Like City offered free breakfast. Absolutely inexcusable IMO. This hotel tries to hide this fact by advertising their "Bistro Restaurant" that's on premise in the lobby, but that is an added cost you will have to pay (and actually expensive) that is in addition to your fee for the night. The "Continental Breakfast" being free is the standard model for most hotels worldwide, especially for places that charge this much for staying. There is also a $6 parking fee, PER DAY here. Google Maps and Expedia both showed "Free Parking" as one of the amenities here (and to be honest, charging extra parking fees ON TOP of the room rates is bogus especially in a place that's pretty much in middle of nowhere). I was not informed of this during check in (or check out), and this information is nowhere to be found on their own website. They take the parking fee out of your "security deposit", which is mandatory prior to checking in ($30 charge). Other reviewers already pointed this bogus fee out, but I have never stayed at a hotel before that charged an EXTRA fee just to park. Yes, I've stayed at hotels near airports before, so that excuse being used by the owner here (who responded to one of the reviewers that mentioned this parking fee) is extremely petty. This isn't a major hub for flying like Denver, Philly, San Fran... This is a city with a population of around 60,000... The room was clean (except for the dust buildup in the A/Cs air vents), the internet speed was actually quite fast, and the bathroom was spacious. My review was going to be positive, but I just couldn't co-sign the pettiness of this hotel. There are PLENTY of other hotels in this area, especially if you're just passing through and only staying for the night. I'd ABSOLUTELY look elsewhere. At the end of the day, it's extremely overpriced for what this place really is. I'm sure 99% of people don't even check their card statements and probably don't even catch the parking fee (since it's taken out of your "security deposit"). 2 stars, primarily due to the overall cleanliness, above average WiFi, and very polite woman who checked me in. The hotel itself and the room are excellent. This is about the cleanness and safety re: covid19 that is beyond horrendous. If your room has still a linen that was used on the bath pole, and has mark of coffee from a previous person, you start looking at every handle in a different (and not reassured) way. Many guests were not wearing their mask in the lobby and no one told them anything. Even my coffee shop in Denver got mad at me for taking a sip of water and removing my mask. The hotel personal should know how to remind their guests! The management can put as many "here is what we are doing during the pandemic to keep you safe", these are words and not action. As always, I have to preface my hotel reviews with this. When rating hotels, I'm rating based on the type of hotel. For example, with this courtyard I'm not rating based on 5 stars being a four seasons or ritz but rating based on your typical overnight travel hotel. Staff was nice. That was probably the best part of the stay. Check in was easy. Oh and they had a spinning wheel for extra bonvoy points. Room wasn't that good. My mattress was lumpy and uneven. Seems like this hotel was an old hotel that was "spruced up" to become a courtyard. One of the worst courtyards I've stayed at. Air conditioning didn't work great and was loud. Was one of those old in the wall deals. I liked the shampoo and body wash. Oh, and depending on what you like, the walls are paper thin. I heard everything going on in the room next door. The good: Booked this through Chase Ultimate Rewards for the night of June 30th checking out July 1st. The room was at an affordable price (right around $200) and was clean. Had all the amenities you might expect. The bad: the air conditioning unit was LOUD. It was like the sound of a machine shop but from outside the garage door or something I am not at all sure that it was working properly??? Maybe I am being too harsh, I did fall asleep after all. Other than that, nothing bad. It's an adequate experience that any travel with $200 will be satisfied with (hopefully your room has a less-loud AC unit). read more

Just stayed here for 1 night on the drive to Denver. It's a nice hotel right off the 70. Easy off and on. Fuel is nearby. Seems like a safe area. Many other hotels next door. Staff was very friendly and accommodating with my requests. Parking is free and easy. Easy in and out--they have carts too. Only glitch was the sheets. Upon check-in, they were dirty/soiled and not in an inconspicuous area. Dirty right when you look down at the pillows without moving anything in the middle of the bed. Housekeeping should have noticed them and not used them. I saw them right away. (See photos.) Clean, easy checkin particularly with mobile checkin. Be wary though - you'll be charged for parking - $6 per night, for the nondescript front parking lot, for some reason. They do have the shampoo, soap and conditioner still in the fillable containers despite covid, but that was a transition that was ongoing before the world stopped to try to have less of a carbon footprint. Although this location has a bistro on site the prices are a bit steep. Your room will have a small coffee maker with 2 single size filters made specifically for single serve coffee. If you stay for Moe than one day there is NO clean up or refill on coffee or towels--you will have to ask. I stayed in a room that had a rattling utility door in the closet. When I reported this issue there was no attempt to resolve it. My floor was not vacuumed upon arrival (see pics) and the headboard had hand prints all over it. The bed... pillows, sheets... ahhhhh the comfort!!!! I practically stayed in bed all day it was so cozy! I wish I could take it with me everywhere. The room was very tidy and clean. Spacious shower and bathroom, big tv even if we didn't use it, nice view out a giant window and adequate room for two to use the space. We were shockingly able to check in at 8am after dropping a friend off at the airport and we just wanted to go back to bed. The front desk accommodated us right away and the hotel was so quiet. We slept super well and weren't disturbed. Check out took no time at all as the paper was under our door before we headed out around 4am for our own flight the following morning. We didn't try the hotels' bistro but I heard good things about the drinks. They are only open for breakfast and dinner. read more

We brought our basketball team out here for a tournament, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us (breakfast, banquet room for a study session, etc.) Mariah made booking easy even when we had to adjust rooms due to our district's Covid restrictions. This hotel is always my go to when staying in Grand Junction to visit family and friends. It's located a mile or so off I-70 on Horizon Drive and tucked away next to a canal. The hotel was recently renovated, the rooms are spacious and clean and the staff has never let me down. They're always friendly, helpful and courteous. The pool is located indoors and the Residence Inn is right next door so you have access to that pool as well. It's never let me down in the last 5+years, so hopefully you like it as much as I do. read more

For a Courtyard by Marriott hotel (Courtyard by Marriott® Grand Junction, 765 Horizon Dr., Grand Junction Co 81506 P 970.263.4414) this hotel was not at all at the quality brand level one would expect in staying at a Marriott Hotel. The room was dark and unwelcoming. Repairs that have been made (shower specifically) were low craftsmanship in mounting the soap holder (very crooked) and using bright white caulking on beige tile. Such a simple thing, but very noticeable and again low quality for the Marriott brand. We heard all kinds of noise that included the sound of a hovering helicopter on the regular, strange vibrations while trying to sleep or just laying on the bed, some kind of strange noise that is hard to describe (similar to a knocking, rotational sound) that was intermittent, yet, frequent enough for it to be bothersome. The bed was very lumpy and made noise any time you moved at all in it. The springs felt like they would come through the bed. The pillows (as seems to be the case at many hotels these days) are fluffy to start and then your head sinks and the pillow fluff collapses into nothingness. The bathroom area could use a good deep clean. The $9 parking was a surprise at check in. The regional airport is close to the hotel, but there was not an excess of overhead airplane noise. We would not recommend staying at this hotel for all of the above reasons. We paid $236.90 for a stay in August 2022. Definitely not the quality hotel that you would expect in a Marriott branded hotel! A big disappointment! On a positive note, the front desk was pleasant. read more

Their little "Bistro" was clean, fast, and very good - especially compared to a traditional continental breakfast! Chelsea and Summer rocked the service and were both super polite and friendly. Very comfortable bed -- a bit skimpy on the bed-covers but obviously allowed for more frequent cleaning of the spread as it was bone white and appeared fresh-laundered. I stayed at this hotel for a week on business. The staff is great and always friendly. The rooms were clean and always stocked with fresh towels and toiletries. I did not give it five stars due to the walls being on the thin side. It's so nice that people are in love. Poor customer service. Accidentally made a reservation for the day before we got into town. We are on a road trip from AZ to MI and when we checked in the lady at the front notified us that our reservation was actually for the day before. It was 11pm and we were very tired from a long day driving. The room was $300 and in a hotel that certainly isn't worth that much to begin with. The lady at the front desk said there wasn't anything she could do and that our only recourse would be to pay for another night. My sister asked if she would be willing to ask a manager if there was anything that could be done since it was obviously a mistake and we weren't in town the day before. She called the off duty manager and they also said they wouldn't be able to help us. So they had open rooms, we paid for a room, but because of the technical mistake they kept our $300 and offered us no discounts or anything on the correct date. Just seemed like they didn't care and as if $300 isn't a big deal to just throw away. We ended up staying at the Holiday Inn down the street for $200 and it was a nicer hotel anyway. We stayed here on a trip from Las Vegas to Illinois. I absolutely loved this location. We got in very late at night and check in was a breeze. Parking is easy, and elevators are convenient to get to. Very classy hotel even for a Courtyard! Rooms are large, we had two queen beds and there was also a modern couch in room and still enough space for a preschooler and toddler to run around! We stayed here for one night on a drive from Denver to Las Vegas. When you consider hotels along those highways, this is probably the best you're going to get as soon as you get west of Vail/Beaver Creek. That being said - we thought the rooms were clean and comfortable and the lobby was nicer than I was expecting. Parking was also really, which was an added bonus since we had a trailer. If we needed to stay in Grand Junction again, we'd probably stay here. read more
