Little Kim's Nails (suite B29) is the BEST for manis and pedis + a mini gift shop too!!! She pampers and really just excels at what she does and that's why she's been at Courtyard Salons for 10+ years, all on her own! Your nails, hands, arms, feet, and legs will feel SO clean and look beautiful once she's done with you! Kim offers water, soda, tea, coffee, etc. while you're getting pampered. Little Kim is always booked so I wouldn't recommend trying to be a walk-in! Instead, you should call her and book an appointment; she'll accommodate for you no problem! Carla at Courtyard is great. She's right up front - great for people watching while she is pampering you! Or, close the shades. I don't let many people do my hair, and I lost my stylist along the way. I went to Carla from knowing her personally, to giving my son his first haircut, to being her customer. I have long hair, and she primped me for what we call the big chop, when I donate to Locks for Love. Can't wait to see her and see how she transforms me next! I had a Groupon for a massage here. It turns out it's just a bunch of office for various people. There's no receptionist so you're left to wander around looking for the door you need to get to. The place is loud and smelly due to all of the hair and nail salons. Not one bit relaxing! read more

Pros: Large amount of stylists and other services offered. I go to Tru at Unique and she is great. She has been cutting my hair for about a year. Cons: The cubicles do not leave much audio privacy. You can hear the conversations of the surrounding rooms. read more

Zohreh Naderi RUINED my hair a year and a half ago. She over processed it like crazy on hi-lites, then had to add low lites bc the top was lighter than the bottom. Courtyard Salons is a big section of a strip mall filled with cubicles that are rented out by individual stylists. With that said, it's a little unfair to rate the whole place down but the 2 experiences I've had there with 2 different stylists were terrible. My hair has never been sadder. read more

New to the area . Bought a Groupon. Big mistake . I went to Zohreh Naderi. It was supposed to be for a deep conditioner , cut and blow dry. First she rushed me. Slabbed on some Biologe conditioner from Walmart , barely covering all of my hair and stuck me under the dryer. Long story short... I asked to get a few long layers........from the back, it looks like I have a wig on top of my hair ! My layers are choppy and unblended. At the end I asked if I could see the back of my hair and she said someone took her mirror. (Probably because she didn't want me to see the back ) I demanded a mirror and somehow one appeared. The end product was : short bob if u look at me from the front, and from the back , long tail with a wig on top of it!!! Mind you, I've been trying to grow my hair out!!! I feel like crying! I don't think it's fixable. I'm afraid to go to someone else to fix it... I'm traumatized . Beware !!! read more

The stylists are great but if you're looking for a salon to rent a space from DO NOT rent from here. It's overpriced and I had a water leak in my room twice in one year that took days to fix. I literally ended up putting a shower cap on my head so I wouldn't get wet from the leak while shampooing my client's hair. AND when I moved out after my lease was up, the manager gave the owner the go ahead to return my deposit and after 3 weeks I asked her to find out when they mailed it. No response. Then the manager was out for a week for a family emergency and they had a replacement. I had her email the owner and her response, "I don't know what she's talking about. She'll have to wait until the manager returns." Another week later the manager returns, forwards her original email to the owner, and the owner says, "I'll put it in the mail today." Well it's been a week now and no check. Sad I'm actually going to have to file a complaint with the RPA now that they have stretched the 30 day grace period Texas has. read more

I walked in no appointment and Met Carla. She squeezed me in and I have been going to her ever since. Recently she cut me short as I requested and have not been disappointed. Also she is super with color. I showed her picture of style desired and she matched it. I trust her completely with cut and color. I will be trying new color next trip. This review is for Mary Pelton of Courtyard Salons. After a not so wonderful experience with another stylist at Courtyard, I was referred to Mary. We did a consult and she had good advice for correcting my color problems. We ended up doing color correction and adding a few highlights. I was totally pleased and she seemed really concerned with keeping my hair healthy. The location of Courtyard is what drew me there and Mary's experience and skill will keep me there. No more driving downtown 6th Street, stressing over finding a parking place and then coming home in horrible traffic for me. read more

I am not usually one to write reviews,but I am so disappointed in my first experience there that I find myself needing to write this. First of all,the atmosphere is great,clean, nice music playing...seemed great! But my services not so much. Mind you, I am seeing my husband in two weeks who has been deployed for a year in Afghanistan-so I came here with the hopes I'd walk out feeling beautiful and ready to wow the love of my life!! Well....to start, got a shampoo/condition but no scalp massage(which the groupon claimed would be included). Ok..whatever. Then we talked about thr cut/partial highlights I wanted...thought we were on the same page. Next...eyebrow wax. After SPECIFICALLY explaining how not to do them....I looked into the mirror and my heart sank. Needless to say...I now have to pencil in a chunk of my left eyebrow that is missing :(((((((( My highlights had to be done twice...the second time, while I sat under the hair dryer....she cut some dude's hair. Um ya....this is a tiny cubicle we're in. My appt was not over...it was rude if you ask me, but that's if you ask me. My head was BURNING and come to fine out my hair that was highlighted was singed at the ends-but did not realize that until I got home. To end...when my cut was finished...no style was done(which also was supposed to be included in the groupon). I walked out of there a frizzy mess with jacked up eyebrows. I'm totally bummed about seeing my husband feeling like a total mess...but all in all, he loves me regardless of what my eyebrows look like or how crazy my hair is! Sorry for rambling...this is just one experience...I'm sure everyone there is great. Maybe I just caught this individual stylist on a bad day. Lucky me. read more
