I had been seeing my stylist at this salon for over two years and always scheduled my next appointment at checkout before leaving. At my most recent visit, I arrived to check in and was told I was not on the schedule. They could not find my appointment anywhere. I found this very concerning because I consistently schedule in person and immediately add the appointment to my calendar. When I explained this, there was no real effort to resolve the issue. I was simply told they could reschedule me for the following week. After waiting three weeks for my color appointment, that was not acceptable. What disappointed me most was the lack of urgency or accountability from the front desk. Even my stylist acknowledged that I always follow the same scheduling routine. Mistakes happen, but how they're handled matters. I left feeling dismissed and unsettled. I'm sharing this so others are aware and double-check their appointments. read more

I first started going to many years ago, but it stopped due to continued rise in pricing and poor customer service. Debra, one of the owners was actually the person that first started cutting my hair and I loved it . Even after my departure I had never spoke out or tried to return. I had not been back for more than ten years but my Son bought me a $500 gift card thinking I still went there for my Mother's Day gift.. I was so excited and decided to buy 2 boxes (total of 8 pieces of hair) to add volume to my hair. I knew that was going to be a lot of money for the first time, but it was easier when you have a gift card. When I went back to have them removed which is a total of eight strands of hair taking approximately 30 minutes. I was charged with my color $285. I looked at it as if the color was worth it. And decided for my 50th class reunion coming up to have them put back in thinking it may be $150 however they had charged me a deposit for three hours of work when it took no more than 45 minutes to put them back in however the price was going to be $286 even though I already had paid for the extensions had paid them to take them out. No hair color was on thistime, just shampoo and a cut just to even them back in so I knew I didn't make that kind of money even as a practitioner. I can't imagine making that much money in my profession and I do transplant work for patient care. Since the price would be close to 300 I had to ask her if we could just do the haircut and I would plan to take a chance if I received another gift card from my children I would again try at some point to be able to put in my already purchased extensions back in again. But before I left Debra the same person that I had spent so much money on in the past for my hair and products came up to me and said she would have to put my name on a list so I would not be allowed to make any other appointments in the future to put my extensions back in . As a Nurse Practitioner and a person who cares for other people, it hit me very hard to know I would be black balled because I was not rich or overly exceptional enough to have their service in the future when I could afford it to put the extensions back in. Now mind you I had already bought the 2 boxes from them paying $175 a box! Now I have no way to use them again even if I had a gift card. And if I went back for a cut everyone that would see my account in the future would think how poor and undeserving I was. However don't worry, Debra it does not matter how much money you do or do not have that would ever make me not give you 100% of my care and knowledge if you should need to be taken care of if you were ill and in my care. I would never look at you or tell you how I was going to put your name on a list to make sure you would never again receive the care you needed . Nurses and those that care for others do not do that I just hope other people that are middle class are low income Read this comment and think about this when they come to Breeze for care. you have hurt me more than you know and made me feel so embarrassed for who I am. Came in for red and blonde highlights. She wasn't sure she could since I'd had a dark box dye, which is fine I get that. I said many times, "if you can", and "as light as you can get it" and "whatever you can do", blah blah (mentioned my greys needing covered many times). They decide to do a test strand and after the strand is done she comes back with a manager and is explaining it would be a color correction that they can't do today. While I'm waiting for her to say, "but we can touch your roots or still do the cut etc", the manager jumps in and was SO aggressive with the way she spoke to me. She spoke to me as if I'd already been causing a problem or like this was a serious situation, was so rude. While I'm also waiting for her to say, "but what we CAN Do", she says, "do you have any questions?!". Nope. No questions. I won't be back here. I get being careful with our hair, but maybe put some more attention into selecting better management, perhaps training them HOW to speak to customers when you aren't able to perform a request so they don't make customers feel like an imposter in your chair. read more

Breeze is always my favorite salon, I usually go to the Georgetown location so this was my first time trying out the Cedar Park one. This one was very relaxing, open, and airy. The hair wash room was dark and so relaxing. Monique was great! She gave the best head massage in the world. She was so kind and patient helping me decide what I wanted for my haircut! read more

Really wanted to love this place but I left so disappointed At first, I came for my appointment time and was told by front desk that the stylist couldn't take me because my appointment was "actually scheduled for 3:30p" which was only 15 minutes prior to the time I ACTUALLY scheduled for, but she saw how the times were moved around so we agreed I could come back at a later time. When I get there I was taken into the bowl for a shampoo, she disclosed she was an assistant. I assumed she'd probably only do my wash so all is well! I asked if I could take advantage of the toner + blow dry deal I saw in the front of the salon when I walked in and she told me no problem. The girls helped and formulated the color, it turned out beautiful. After being washed for an hour I was taken for a blow dry. I figure out that the assistant is the one who is actually performing my blow dry which okay.. but she disclosed she wasn't out of school yet and when I had originally made an appointment I asked for a senior stylist, they assured me I was scheduled with one. Guess that wasn't too important. Anyways, two stylists blew out my hair, it took 20 minutes. I stressed I had no hot tools and I was going on a trip, made sure to ask if they could make sure the style lasted... (I'll show you how that went) At the end of the appointment I was told the total was about $100. HOW? The deal said $50. The front desk told me she guesses the stylist didn't know. I asked if it could be honored and she flat out said no, it cannot be honored. So now I am stuck with a style that is completely frizzy and I ended up paying double that what I even expected. My son got his haircut on 1/19 with Aliyah. A simple kids cut. When I saw the cut later at home, I noticed right away from across the room, his hair on one side was about an inch longer than the other. Once I got a close look, the back of his hair was choppy, strands about an inch longer in places as if she didn't use a comb. Overall, it looks like half his hair was cut and the other side on the back looked untouched. He's devasted. Kids at school are making fun of his hair. It took 2 days to get a call back and then they only offered a re-cut, which I refused. They said they will not give a refund and there was no one in charge there that could help. Went in for a routine hair color...the stylist somehow did not drape me properly and completely ruined my sweatshirt. She played it off by saying it was just a small amount but there are actually huge splotches so this wasn't just typical dripping that might occur. When tried to see what could be done given the fact that my clothes were ruined, I was told that this is a risk I have to assume. This is my second negative experience with breeze. I like having a regular stylist who knows me and my hair instead of someone new each time. I called for an appointment for a cut and pink peek-a-boo highlights (which I've gotten before at this establishment) and was told I needed a consultation before work could be performed on my hair since it had been a while since I'd visited the salon. That's fine. I expect a short consultation each time I go to explain what I want; however, to be told I needed the consultation first and then I could make an appointment with a stylist who may not even be the same one doing the consultation with me didn't make sense. If I'm making a trip to the salon, I want the work done instead of having to go back on a different day AFTER the consultation. I've never been told this at Breeze before and I've had my hair cut and colored for years at the Cedar Park location. (See my previous review dated 2011). I declined to make two separate appointments and now another salon will have my business. read more

Almost three weeks after my all over color (using color safe hair products) red was still coming out of my hair. I used heat on my hair and it turned white at the ends? I've never had that happen before with a coloring. I have no complaints about my hair stylist at all, she was very sweet. Walked in today to grab an Aveda product I had tried before, but was surprised to see there were 2 that looked so similar that I wasn't sure which to get. I grabbed them both and went to ask the cashier, who pretended not to see me for a few minutes (until her coworker redirected her). I asked, "what's the difference between these 2 aside from what it says on the bottle? Because they read like they do the same thing. I've had them both, I think, but now I'm not sure which one was my favorite." She replied, "let me look up which ones you've purchased." Yes, this was semi-helpful, however I already said I'd had both, just needed to understand the expected outcome so I could know which one to buy NOW. So I said, "No, that's ok, I want to understand what they do that's so different so I can pick the one I want NOW." She literally said to me, "Well, they're pretty self explanatory, so......" Ok, so maybe I'm dumb, but to walk into a salon that I've frequented for YEARS to purchase very expensive product only to be basically told that I'm dumb straight to my face left me speechless. Not only was it rude, it was a missed opportunity for an even larger sale. Do your employees not have training on the products? Wouldn't they fare well to respond to a client question like mine with "what challenge are you having, what's the outcome you're trying to achieve????" It was the perfect opportunity for her to even redirect me to another product that might have worked better! Maybe even a whole system of products! Instead, I was first ignored, then belittled in the presence of roughly 10 other women. I felt so anxious so quickly that I asked her to ring them both up so I could just leave. Now I have 2 products that I still have no idea which one does the thing I want. I'm not looking for anything here as a result of this terrible exchange, but highly suggest that your employees be trained on these sophisticated products, that they never pretend not to see a customer standing right in front of them (I know this song and dance all too well), and never belittle a customer who's asking well-meaning questions so they can make an informed decision. I paid close to $300 for a balayage . I showed the stylist a picture and said I needed it to look just like the picture, as I had already ordered expensive tie in extension La to match the picture. When the stylist was finished I was in tears. The highlights were not the same color as picture and the brown wasn't the same either. I was honest with her so she added a toner on my hair and that completely took away the highlighted color. I messaged the manager that I wanted a refund . She told me no but I could come back in to get it fixed. Went back in and was told she didn't have time for highlights so she put another TONER!!!!! It looks nothing like the picture. So now I'm out the money for balayage not revieved and spent several hundreds of dollars on extensions that don't match my hair!!! So read more

Was disappointed with the listed price and the actual price of services. It feels dishonest. I know it's the "starting at" price but should you really list a price knowing to actually get bayalage done will cost more than double the starting price? Also, when explaining the price difference she told me that $155 is the starting price for a bayalge and that it costs more because it's full not partial and long hair (my hair is not that long it's just longer than shoulder length) and not short hair. Well I just checked the website and $155 is the price for FULL LONG hair. $130 is the price for Partial Long hair. There is no excuse for the price to go to $155 up to $309. I've gotten full bayalage for $175 at a fancier artsy downtown salon. I'm not sure why a suburban strip mall salon thinks they can up charge that much. read more

I have been searching for a great nail tech for a long time. Finally came across Breeze Salon in Cedar Park & decided to give Madelyn a try for a pedi. She was running late, so there was about a 15 minute wait. I was offered a water & the reception people were very nice. They can use a few more places to sit while waiting though. There was one small bench & a "director" chair that you have to climb into. Once Madelyn got to me, she did a knock-out job! My search is finally over. :) And... I love this place! My hairdresser is great, she listens well and isn't pushy with products for purchase, just like my previous experiences at Aveda salons from California to Texas ...they aren't pushy with sales which is great. I already use their products anyway and I think they know the product sells itself as they are. Their relaxation room is so pretty and really relaxing in it's truest form. Treats and drinks at a bar area. The room is totally separate from work area so it is so peaceful. There are three chairs that massages, three other ones with throw and pillows and two more chairs under small chandeliers. Totally serene and dim lit. I felt soooo calm and relaxed! My hairdresser gave the best scalp, neck and hand massage too. I love my hair color and the experience. All but checking in, they are so frazzled upfront it was chaotic. Eva is my new GIRL. I have a *lot* of long, blonde hair that desperately needed color correcting from an appt elsewhere done three months ago. This was my first time meeting Eva and she was extremely accommodating and empathetic towards my previous experience at the last salon. From start to finish, her professionalism and education spoke levels through her ability to answer all of my questions (I had lots of them!) and her suggestions of how we get me back to feeling like myself again. Not to mention she gave me the best scalp massage ever while washing my long locks out! She even did a complimentary trim on my poorly blunt ends from the previous layers I had gotten from the last stylist who had done my hair in a rush. ALSO: she's a curl specialist and my hair is straight as a board - without any heat tools - yet this woman was able to tackle my challenging amount of LONG, blonde hair that needed some serious color correction. Was my first time there. Started my gel mani pedi and half way through they realized they didn't book my eyebrow wax. My pedicure is good but my mani was a mess. They had me come back an hour later for the eyebrow wax. I get there and they forgot to warm the wax so then asked me to wait 15 more mins for it to warm. I agreed and waited, and waited, and waited. 45 mins later only after I asked if they dropped the yet again did they take me back. The lady who did my brows was very nice and she did a decent job. They did give me 10 % off but for being there 3 hours and $200 plus dollars later..I won't be returning. read more

I found a stylist here that I really like. I'm getting my services done regularly and will only change if the stylist leaves. So, why only 3 stars? I've been going to Aveda salons all over the country for almost 15 years. The ones in the other cities are clean, posh and you're getting what you pay for. The massage chairs in the relaxation rooms have been broken for the entire time I've been coming. Many times the other patrons in the room are chatting on their cellphones even though signs are posted asking everyone to not do so, but do any of the associates working their put a stop to it? Nope! Everyone just flits in and out and keeps letting them talk vs asking them to take their conversation elsewhere. Had to reschedule my appointment multiple times due to the Covid-19 shutdown, but finally got the hair did and IT FEELS AND LOOKS AMAZING!! It was so good to see my girl Caren and the rest of the crew. I have missed those faces and my time in the chair... it felt great to be back!! I was a little nervous about wearing the mask, (I haven't worn one because having my face covered freaks me out) but once I sat in the chair and the conversation/laughs started I forgot I was even wearing one! Breanna, I wanted to have the chance to respond to you, the concerned business owner, and address the misconceptions in your response, however I was unable to do so within this application at this time, so I am recreating a review that speaks to the previous. My original review concerning the visit read: "Poor representation of a professional business. Bait and switch tactics. Quoted one price, scheduled appointment, changed price on arrival ($35 more) for same service rendered." A miscommunication in price wasn't the issue at all. It was clearly understood the service being requested was quoted at $65. Schedules were rearranged and previous engagements cleared to accommodate the agreed upon appointment. On the day of the appointment, we were informed just 20 minutes prior to the scheduled time of appointment that the appoint was to be cancelled, which put us in the vicinity of the salon at the time of cancellation. Upon arrival, we were notified the stylist got sick, and was informed the service could be performed by someone else, however for an additional $35, now totaling $100. This was offered as the only remediation. Displeased with these antics, we left in search of more honorable business services. I followed up with a phone call, and requested Chanelle(?), who presented herself as a manager, to have the owner give me a call if you wished to proactively remediate this disservice, but to date I have not received a call back, only a response to this publicly visible critique. read more

I will continue visiting the salon simply because my stylist is amazing! The salon lost its glamour and appeal to me in one phone call. I bought a product at their anniversary sale to take advantage of the pricing. Because its a quality product I didn't need to open it for a while. When I finally did, I discovered it was the wrong one. Thinking they would gladly return it (to foster good relations), I called to confirm that possibility. I quickly learned the product CANNOT be returned because it is beyond 30 days. WHAT?! For real? They would not budge. So I will continue going to the salon to see my stylist. If you want beauty to trickle down, you can't leave the top a mess. I've been going to Denise for years now and just love her. The salon is decorated beautifully, the shampoo area is relaxing, the spa area is beautiful and everyone who walks out of there looks fabulous. Sure you can find a cheaper place, but do you wanna look Fantastic Sams good? Or front cover of the Social Section good? My only reco is that they put some better lighting in the hair cutting area. This chick is getting old and seeing myself downlit just ain't as purty as it used to be. But from the rumor mill they are fixing this pronto. I was very excited for this appointment! My appointment was scheduled with two different stylist. One who did my color and other to do my cut. I had a particular way I wanted to get my hair done. Granted I NEVER treat myself with having three kids. I showed them what I wanted and the four hour process started. The stylist who did my color was first and she ended up being fun but I ended up a little disappointed in my color. Overall though I did like her though. I think she was planning my color around the cut I was SUPPOSED to have. I then went to my cut from the Irish woman. she was not very friendly!! She was upset someone had cancelled on her which I totally get but I paid her $80 for a little trim and small amount of bangs because she said to go little because most end up not liking it too short? My hair cut?? $80 and It wasn't even close to looking like the initial consultation I asked for. She then blow dried my hair and called it a day. I did not feel taken care of at all by her. More like I was a burden. I then asked her for beach curls and she said I can't but I'll find someone who can! Now here is the kicker, never in my life have I gone to a salon and they charge extra for a STYLE!!! $30 for someone to give me some beach waves? Thank goodness she did though because she sent me in Paige's direction! She was AWESOME! Today was her last day there but man talk about great customer service. It took me three in a half hours to really start enjoying it. That girl has a good future ahead of her. I did end up getting my brows done too and Erin was also incredible!! Overall, I ended up with a cut that was worth maybe $20 and nothing like I asked for with someone who didn't seem to care at all but great brows and pretty beach curls! More than likely I won't be going back just because of the pretty big disappointment. I ended up paying over $300 and I do not think it was completely worth it. The environment was great and reception was really nice and informative. Two stars for mostly because of the cut. The cut I wanted I waited for weeks to get. I was so excited for it. I absolutely love this place. Right off the bat they made sure everyone who came in was checked in and seen to. They did a lot of complimentary services like free drinks and free hand massages. I got Courtney, and I have to say that I'm in love. She got to know me and wanted to know what I was comfortable with as a customer. I recently moved to Austin from Chicago and had to find a new hair stylist. I was lucky enough to find this salon and Monique in particular. Monique is lovely and bubbly. She took it slow with my request for curtain bangs (thankfully) so that I didn't make a dramatic change I wasn't ready for. She gave my hair the movement I wanted and an amazing scalp massage. The atmosphere is lovely and while waiting for your color to process the salon has a dimly lit room with massage chairs to make the whole experience relaxing. The only downside on this salon is that the online booking is a little harder when trying to combine services with one person. I ended up having to call to combine the full color and haircut services which I was unable to do online. read more
