Giving a great review for a colorist is a dangerous thing as you don't want the secret to get out and maybe have trouble getting a booking but...JC Rose at Breeze Salon in Georgetown and Round Rock is amazing at color. He has been doing mine for over 2 years now-I go to NYC every month and could get my color done there or anywhere in Austin/Dallas/Boston but I make it a point to ALWAYS go to him. I have been to many salons to try and get a consistent, rich red color that looks natural. Instead of a flat, uniform color, my color has subtle variations in tone and depth, creating a rich and multi-faceted appearance. Every time I leave the salon, my color is wonderful and LASTS too-not the usual fading that occurs in red. JC also does my daughters blonde which more than just a light shade of hair. This wasn't my first time at Breeze Salon, but it was my first experience with this stylist. I'm leaving this review with deep respect, but also with great disappointment in Breeze Salon in Round Rock. My husband kindly booked me a haircut as a birthday gift, and I was so excited for this treat. Unfortunately, when I got home, I realized my hair was unevenly cut, and my bangs were completely asymmetrical. Paying nearly $100 for a haircut is not cheap, and at that price, I expected the results to reflect what I asked for. I showed the stylist several photos of how I wanted my hair to look. Instead, I left with a cut that feels rushed and careless, and what should have been a joyful birthday experience turned into disappointment and regret. The stylist, Shantea, barely engaged with me. Her energy was cold, she didn't make an effort to have a conversation, and she didn't even want to blow-dry my hair or provide the massage that's included in the price. I trusted Breeze Salon because of its reputation, and I genuinely thought I was in good hands. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below what I expected. I called the salon to see if they could fix my hair, not to demand a refund, and the woman on the phone was very kind. However, I was told that any corrections need to be approved by a manager and that I'd have to send photos via email for review. Even then, there's no guarantee I'll be accommodated. I requested a simple bleach and tone touch up and Abigail Hawn (a newer stylist) turned my hair orange, gold, bronze and splotchy way beyond my roots. In addition, she admitted it was "all her fault", yet the "manager" was rude and was yelling at my Mom and I stating the bad coloring was my fault until I started recording. I have been getting my hair touched up at this length for YEARS and never had a problem. Finally, the manager agreed to let us go without paying for this horrible job that needed multiple color corrections at another salon. In addition to the bad hair, the bowl or bleach was held under my nose and I had an asthma attack. A drop or bleach also got in my left eye and I'm still having issues with burning in that eye. I got chemical burns on my neck which a week later still hurt and are itchy and irritated. I posted my hair experience on social media and was attacked by Breeze Salon employees and their friends including comments to "end my life, that I'm a "liar", that it was my fault because I was "late" when I was on time, that I deserved to be harmed, that I posted this "only for fame"- who asks to be injured and humiliated by their hair for "fame"? among other comments that tiktok flagged as bullying and harassment. My hair was easily corrected at another salon for less money than they wanted me to pay tor this horrible mess and taunting. I wish I could give zero stars. I used this business for over 12 years and after another mistake turning my hair red by a senior stylist, I am done. No one deserves to be bullied like I am being on social media by these people. read more

I've been told many times that there are few people you need in your life... an excellent doctor, trustworthy electrician, a legitimate convincing bloody effing lawyer and a great hairstylist! Breeze Salon definitely has you covered for the latter. Top notch customer service and environment. Upon arrival, one of the front desk gals will ask if you would like flavoured or unflavour water to drink... that's pretty much all I have to say. Honestly, I'm not shy going to salons that cater mostly to women, this place may not be the 'man-cave'... but they sure do know how to lift the stress off your shoulders. I have been going to Breeze Salon Round Rock for a while now. Although I know it's an upscale salon with experienced stylists and Aveda products. I left the other day feeling somewhat price gouged. Why? $32.00 to slap on some leftover color on my brows and then another $27.00 to shape them. $52.00 for eyebrows clean up seems a bit excessive. Then you get to the haircut $87.00 for what amounted to a trim. The products have almost doubled in price. Shampoo that was once just $100 is now $209. Service is good. I tried all the big name salons in downtown Austin but nobody has come close to Bebea. I booked a men's cut for my son at $35.00, paid "half" before we got there (they require this) at $17.50 and THEN went I went to pay, turns out the cut was $45. My son got his haircut here and BeBe did an awesome job. I really wanted to go to her but I wanted to get my haircut at the last min before leaving on a vacation and Bebe wasn't available so I picked another stylist. She did a good job with my hair. The only complaint would be - I did the online appointment for a haircut and shine treatment. The cost for both service in the email was $81. When I got there, the stylist was trying to charge me $106 for both- 60 for the haircut and $46 the shine service... even after I showed her the confirmation email that was pretty clear for both services it was $81. Instead of honoring the online charge... she still insisted on $106... anyway since I had already been charged $40 when I made the appointment online... I just had her do a haircut. The money isn't really a big deal... I guess I feel like it's a little bait- and - switchy?I am not sure if I will go back. read more

Horrible experience. They not only cancel my first appointment last minute because the stylist decided to not come in, but completely ruined my very healthy hair. They gave me a patchy highlight when I requested full blonde (which I know is easy from the million other times I have been blonde before) and killed my hair. When I complained, they did not respond.i called later and they lied and said that they had told me what I wanted was unachievable when that was clearly not true. No offers of compensation. My girlfriend does not have a Yelp account so I'm doing it for her. We usually use the Organics salon in Pflugerville but since we were in Round Rock we figured we'd give this one a shot. It was a mistake. Yesterday we walked up to the door just to make an appointment and they actually had one in 45 minutes. We thought that was great so we just walked around downtown until it was time. I dropped her off and went on my way, not expecting to have to return for a couple of hours. One hour later I get a call from my girlfriend saying to come pick her up and nothing had been done. She's been there before and they should have had her color combination on file but apparently they didn't anymore. To condense the story, after waiting for an hour essentially by herself, she got up to see what was going on. She walked into a room where she found her stylist chatting it up and laughing with coworkers. The stylist claimed to be mixing her color but after another 15 minutes of waiting, my girlfriend just walked out. I personally went there to find out what happened and the girl who answered the door said she wasn't sure exactly what happened. I asked what took so long to begin with and she said they were doing a color consultation. I asked "For an hour?". Her response was "Like I said, I'm not exactly sure what happened." No thanks! We'll stick to Organics in Pflugerville. read more

I am so turned off by my experience at this salon that I couldn't help myself. I have been to breeze salon multiple times. I requested a balayage that turned out very very brassy orange & after making another appointment to redo it I walked out with highlights slapped in the middle of my head to mask the problem. Not only was the atmosphere extremely uncomfortable but I am now left with fried extremely damaged hair and horribly placed highlights for $200+. Oh yeah, & there prices suck. I contacted cooperate. Today was the last straw. They may have great stylists, but their booking and customer data systems and clueless back office management personnel are atrocious. I've been a Breeze customer at their Round Rock location for many years and, solely because of my loyalty to my long-time stylist there, I have put up with the shop's cancellations due to air conditioning problems, no hot water, endless turnover of front desk receptionists, rapid-fire turnover in nail tech and facial personnel, and on and on throughout all these years. They've recently shut down one of their locations and are in the process of incorporating personnel into their remaining shops and renovating the Round Rock location. Today, I received a call from Breeze saying that I was a no-show to an appointment I never made--the result of Breeze's phenomenally faulty booking and records system someone else here mentioned. (That system has been the source of problems throughout my time as a customer at Breeze, so it's nothing new and it's clear they don't intend to fix it.) What's more, I was told that as a result of what their record shows as more than 50 or 100 cancellations (!!!) showing on my account since 2015, I'd have to put a credit card on file and pay a $50 deposit to keep an appointment scheduled to take place two days from now, an appointment I made six weeks ago. I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars at this place over the years. There is absolutely no way their records are correct. None. No way. I told the person on the other end of the line that WE ARE DONE. I sent a farewell note to my stylist and am moving on to another salon. Breeze management can keep the enormous number of Breeze points I've accumulated over the years and never spent. First, never put a credit card on file with a company that can't even maintain its own booking records properly. Second, if you see a lot of turnover, that's your cue to leave, too. Lastly and maybe most importantly, back office support matters. If salon management fails to provide good customer service and above all, fails to invest in modern and accurate booking and record keeping systems--or invest in replacing mission-critical fixtures like obviously worn out pedicure chairs, they don't care about customers or about their stylists or technicians. My recommendation: Take your money elsewhere. Aside to Breeze folk: Yeah, even in the dimly lit mani-pedi room upstairs at the Round Rock location, I noticed the vinyl peeling from the aging, disintegrating pedicure chairs two or three years ago, Breeze. Is that why you demand that nail techs keep the lights off up there? read more

Because the prices were variable and I'm growing my hair out, I requested a new stylist for a trim and conditioning treatment. Once I got to the appointment, my quoted $40 hair cut and $20 conditioning treatment turned into an $80 haircut and a $40 conditioning treatment. Embarrassed, I told her I didn't want the conditioning treatment because I was misquoted on the haircut. It was awkward and embarrassing. She spent 5 minutes trimming my hair. I timed it. She didn't even check for split ends in the layers I had. Then, my "expensive" stylist went away and a new girl did the hair wash and dry. I didn't even enjoy it because of how awkward I felt. When they asked me how the appointment went, I was honest. The front desk girl talked to her manager and the manager gave me a discount- too bad the discount was for a coupon I already had because it was my first time at the studio, so basically, I was just screwed all around. Please do not post an untruth that you reached out to me several times before my appointment BECAUSE I never scheduled an appointment - I was going to come to Breeze when the receptionist dropped the 100% coverage of your Cancellation Policy. Again, although your stylist time is very important -please remember their time is not more important than that of a Physician. According to your Receptionist your establishment does not give any on if we are sick customers (I guess we should all just come in and spread the love amongst your employees) or we get called into work last minute or how about this one of our family members end up ill and even worse. I saw Leslie, who is a down to earth, great stylist that really listens and gives great results. The salon coordinator is friendly, intelligent, and does a great job too! As far as the negative reviews I saw are concerned, I never felt pressured to buy any products(btw, their prices on Aveda are very competitive), and for those of you hating the "credit card on file" rule, I've never been to a quality salon that didn't do that. Recommend clearly establishing price before you schedule an appointment- Marianna charged me $190 for a partial highlight with low-light - that's a ridiculously high rate - I am in town for family and typically get a full highlight and cut at a top Aveda Salon in Houston for $270 total. She asked me if I wanted the low lights, and I agreed, but assumed she would then be doing a full head vs. a partial highlight- then when she showed me the price, I thought it was high for full, but agreed. However, she was still apparently planning on doing a partial. Total disconnect and hair looks choppy. I honestly can't think of anyone with the talent and caliber of experience to warrant that price!! There are good stylists here - but give warning to make sure you check in advance what your scheduled stylist thinks she is worth, and fo plan to be "up-sold" on added conditioners or brilliance DS-ones. I showed up 10 minutes early and wasn't greeted until almost 20 minutes of waiting. The stylist did not introduce herself and when I told I wanted to go lighter she said she didn't have the time to bleach my hair. I went ahead and did the haircut but should've just left. The stylist did my haircut but never asked how I wanted it styled. Left very disappointed and the stylist did nothing to try and reschedule. From the time I was greeted I had a wonderful experience at this salon. The receptionist was sweet and made me feel welcomed. She asked to bring me something to drink. Once I met my hair stylist Tracey I knew she would do a great job. I loved that she consulted with me about prices before she started and gave me several options. Full disclosure: I have not visited Breeze. I am writing this because I called today to make an appointment and they wanted to my credit card number to hold the reservation. I know this is common at some high end restaurants on special occasions for reservations, and to discourage cancellations, but to book a salon appointment with a vendor I have never visited before I thought this was strange. When asked why they needed the card on file and if they charge the card if you cancel, she said no, they don't charge it, it's just their policy. I told her it's my policy not to give my cc # out to companies I haven't done business with, particularly just to make an appointment for service. If they weren't going to charge it, they didn't need it. Decided to go elsewhere - there are plenty of salons that start off the relationship by treating you like a person, not a wallet. read more

I strongly dislike leaving bad reviews but I'm pretty upset over the amount of money I spent and time wasted to walk out of your salon dissatisfied on one too many levels. First, I asked the stylist if she was experienced in balayage and she shrugged her shoulders to say "yeah, sort of". That should have been my first clue to run. She then sprayed hair spray on my hair while she was doing it, which was so odd and left me on the chair for a while that I had to ask for someone to go get her. Secondly, she barely spoke to me. It felt like I was bothering her by being there. Then to top things off I felt like I was super rushed out of the salon. She passed me over to Morgan who was so sweet but also didn't do much to my finished style. My haircut is super blunt and boring. Bebe ran her fingers through it really fast and said "ya, it looks good" then hurried off to her other client once morgan was done blow drying my hair. After I left, I just hate everything about the time I spent getting my hair done there and that shouldn't be the case when you spend 2-3 hours in someone's chair getting your hair done. They are also SUPER pushy about selling you products and Bebe was late...My hair is orange, yellow looking and I'm afraid to even call to get it fixed. I have been trying to give this place a chance for 2 years. The last time I booked an appointment over the phone I was mistakenly scheduled for the wrong location, so this time I booked an appointment on the website over a week in advance. For some unknown reason, the actual appointment itself was not confirmed on their end. I have a confirmation of the pending charge to my credit card. I was informed that there is an additional step to confirm the appointment, which insinuates to me that it was user error. I wanted to make sure that I didn't miss anything, so I made another appointment. The "Submit Payment" button is the only step after keying in my information to both PAY and BOOK the appointment. How was I supposed to know that their system is so bad it could create a pending charge on my card, but not actually confirm the time? They offered me 10% off a future service. That is less than what I tip and quite honestly an insult. I start a new job on Monday and this was my kid free window to pamper myself. For the sake of time, I will have to share details from the past experiences later. The quality of customer service does not match the high prices at all. Its good for hair treatments and haircuts. There's a ton of pressure though to buy products everytime you go. Its very unsettling and uncomfortable because its just hard sell. Stuff like "This product is great. However, we're out of it but you can pay now and we can call you when we get it in stock. That way you just have to come pick it up and not wait". I still go for my hair treatments just because of their products. The facial is ok. After giving multiple feedbacks at the reception, the person who did the facial wasnt even communicated those feedbacks and she seemed clueless. It's sad because they have good products and I want to go there more but the way its organised puts me off sometimes. I wish they cared more. read more
