This is an extended stay hotel. Our room had a full size refrigerator, two burner stove and a microwave. The lady at the front desk was nice and polite. But, you only get ONE Free WiFi connection per room. Anymore than one device requires calling a toll free number and pay for 2 or more devices. Weird ?!??! Also, no facial tissues, no paper towels, no body lotion. Our bed only had one pillow each per person, so I had to request one more for me. No comforter. Just a beige blanket in top of the flat sheet. The TV did not have many choices of channels (no CNBC, no Game Show channel, etc). No ice machine. No breakfast. They do have a paid laundry room. read more

Going to your hotel room and putting your head on your pillow is a great experience. Until it's not, this hotel decided to overbook and tell me so sad, so bad, but we sold your room and are booked. This happened to me with this Choice brand hotel, hence my title. I went to the hotel only to wait 30 to 40 minutes while the Front Desk Agent tried in vain to find my nonexistent hotel room. He then told me that someone on the desk earlier that morning had sold my room. My room was handicapped, so I said that I was willing to take a non-handicapped room since I was only to be told that they had no available rooms. I called Choice Hotels' Customer Service, and it was the worst customer service available. The agent tried to blame me by saying that I should have directly booked with them. These wouldn't have happened, AND then he tried to blame the third party, saying that they, Choice Hotels, always have problems with third-party agents. I asked why they did business with third-party agents, so I then asked why they did business with them; he tried to pivot, and he lied and said that they didn't do business with thirty-party agents, so I told you to do because that's how I received the room. He then decided to try to blame myself and the third-party agent again. I no longer wanted to go down that rabbit hole, so I asked for compensation. His response was again crickets and explaining that they would send my complaint to the hotel to see if the hotel management would offer compensation, which I know is unlikely. Again, it is the worst Customer Service in the world. And the only offer for a hotel that night was a brand hotel many miles away. I thank Hilton for providing excellent customer service and finding me a room at 1 am and hotel.com for reimbursing me for the difference between the two hotels. I'm about to give an earful. I chose this because I moved from Newport Beach California and Los Angeles, to Quantico because I have a sibling in the Marines and it seemed to be the closest option. I wanted to be closer to her while my industry and my union is on a strike. I started work at the Coffee Bar 1010 next door. There aren't many options available in the area to choose from so I took a chance despite friends telling me it was sketchy. Tried to give the benefit of the doubt. I stayed for nearly a month. And a day alone was more than enough. Anyway I had several issues about this place and this "no refund policy" isn't going to fly. Of course you agree upfront because nobody has the time or patience to read all that nonsense. The place was dirty, the hotels are so slow that I can circle the building outside and or inside several times before the elevator even arrives. It's that's slow. One of those things that I can probably look past. But it's also like majorly inconvenient if I am carrying a lot, or moving out when they don't have many carts. Anyway again. Something that I probably can look past. Cigarettes everywhere outside it's gross. It's not hard for people to put them out and then dispose of them properly. Which nobody did. Nobody seemed to clean up after their dog. I did for mine every single time. I didn't feel safe there 95 percent of the time. I may sound a bit generous with my 5 percent. It could be less. I try to not nit-pick but NOTHING about this place went right. Like people are out smoking all hours or just randomly creeping around it was weird. This one dude looked like a total bum off the streets and he was walking around in the same outfit everyday. I don't know if having key card access actually made this place safe. Drug deals going on, not clean, and then icing on the cake? All of the Aldo sunglasses I had delivered to the hotel were STOLEN. A box/package was open like with nothing but the air bag. We were pleasantly surprised to find this hotel for a four night stay. The price is good for what you get which is basically simplicity and no major luxuries, BUT it was clean, quiet and when we checked out my son forgot a few things, most importantly a small toy bear that is his favorite thing ever. We realize we left it, called the hotel, and was told that Randall the maintenance guy had found it, and was keeping it in case we had come back for it. When we arrived he had found not only my son's toy but a charger we left as well. He could have thrown these things away but he didn't. The staff was nice, especially Randall who cared enough to keep the items safe till they were retrieved. Will recommend to others. read more

We were in Fort Myers for a few months over the summer due to my boyfriends job. We were normally stay in Airbnb or Vacation rentals when we travel but because it was summer time everything in Fort Myers was either booked or outrageously price to we went to an extended stay. If I could leave a negative star rating it would be a -3. We arrived on memorial day weekend we noticed our a/c was not working. It took them 5 days to fix it so for 5 days we were subjected to 90 degree heat without a functional a/c. The entire hotel is roach infested. When say infested I mean they are everywhere and get into everything. It does matter how much I cleaned, baited and sprayed I couldn't get rid of them. It really was disgusting. The only positive thing that I can say was the house keeping and maintenance staff really work hard and did there best dispite being short staffed and lack of resources. They really made my stay tolerable. read more

THIS HOTEL IS NOT PET FRIENDLY. They charge $200 per pet and then an additional charge per night. No one in their right mind would pay that. They charge that price so that they do not get pets but they might as well advertise it as not pet friendly. For non pet owners, the hotel looked nice and the staff were really nice but the management are not being honest about their policies. read more

I worked for WS Maumee Ohio. Susan Rats was or is the GM. Long story short I had 2 days of I can in for my 1 shift on a Friday. When I got there one guest had came to talked wellness check 3 employees.Not one checked on hin 321 rm#. His coworkers has not seen for wk in 3 days and family friends could not reach him back to when I came in Larry on 3rd told me what was happen. I called the GM,she was very upset. Told me she would deal w/ it Monday. Not ok by me so I won't let's someone needing help u never know. I took the next day off m I could not look at a selfish GM. I got a call from Ws Susan never call she had someone call me for her to tell me I no longer have a job. I never been in trouble. I work my but off to keep the Guests happy. Beside North Central Expressway in Mckinney, Texas sits an building in the middle of concrete. No grass, no safety. Upon out arrival, we were locked in this tiny entry space with a tiny desk-thing on our right. It's storming, we are next to living in an old beat up truck, and we are screamed at about handing the lady that works here our Driver's Licenses...NOW! After living here for over a month the same lady calls me down to the little area to give her my Driver's License again. She doesn't remember that she had it already, scolded me like I was a sex worker for living with my husband, and photocopies the thing. Next, I fall due to their floors and almost bled out because their bed is dangerous and moves a lot. I call 911 and get stitches and a Tetanus shot. Next, we kept smelling a weird smell. My husband said it smelled like his dorm room. That it was what the students smelled like when they were doing drugs. "The Devil's Lettuce" was smoked often and still is. I became violently ill and had to go to the hospital for what I thought was DKA again. It was their smoke. I reported it to the Owner aka Corporate of this place on Twitter. All they said was "sorry" and have asked me for the same information THREE times now. Sunday, I walked the side door and fell into a broken drain. I haven't gone to the ER because my husband has been very sick. I know my hand and forearm are fractured and my neck is bruised on the side. Today, February 28, 2023 I was walked in on when I was in the restroom and then the knock at the door came later when I was lying on ice and two women were at the door for a "room inspection". Now, we have been here about eight months being grateful for a roof over our head because apparently a Master's in HR doesn't get you a job that is a living wage. Apartments are more expensive than houses and all shelters are full and not a single place is affordable. This place is cheap, doesn't have any services, and do not stay here if you have a choice. Code Name, the "Three Asterisk ***", in "The Woods". I went into "The Woods" (Woodsprings Suites), as C-19 was starting to rage. My time as an E-Stayer, has been quite pleasant. Face it there are always going to be glitches over time wherever you go, but I rate my time in "The Woods" at the high end, and I am not the only one. Clean, well managed, restful. Close to Rt 95 both North and South. If you E-Stay like me, there are resources for cooking in the units, for a reasonable fee they even will provide pans. Fourteen minutes North, Aldis and Walmart, for your shopping needs. With laundry facilities, work out area, plenty of coffee, a stay in "The Woods" may be just what you need. Why stay in "The Woods", because of all the things I just stated. read more

The bad rating is not because of the facilities, it is because of the management. The facilities are ok for the type of hotel this is. No frills, no thrills but all the basics are covered. The free wifi is weak and from time to time if you are streaming a movie, it will freeze and you will see your device buffering. My frustration (to put it lightly) is that i got a decent deal. When I checked-in, the room with a queen bed was not available despite that I did my reservation well in advance. They put me in a king size bed but so far, have not honored the rate I got in my reservation. I have talk with the employees several times and with the property manager once. She said she already fix it but went I went to paid, the cost was more than $200/month more. I wasn't at FAULT because the room wasn't available, I spoke with another employee today and all his assumptions were against me. From having to move the room or to keep paying the higher rate. Regarding changing rooms, if it was matter of a gym bag, I will agree, but since the plan was an EXTENDED STAY, every square inch of storage in the room, is completely occupied. It will be like moving out a studio. This something the property manager can fix within two minutes, if there is honesty, fairness and good will. Had to travel to Virginia for my fathers funeral over Christmas and was forced to stay separately than family due to the recent covid outbreak. We decided we needed a place with a kitchenette and designed more for a long term stay as our flight Options were slim to none and we were forced to stay in until December 31st. This place looked great in pictures, even seemed great checking in as the staff was super friendly. I ignored red flag after red flag (dirty floor, obvious people *living* there with multiple residents in these rooms, a stained top sheet and cover on my kids bed.) my breaking point was a cock roach in the bathroom. I checked in around 2:30pm and checked out by 9:30. The staff is awesome other than management who allowed this place to go to hell. I wasn't contacted at all by management (I get it's Christmas Day and all but cmon who's day is worse?) I still haven't seen the guaranteed full refund and it's been hours. Thankfully I have a good friend who was willing to cover our stay over here at the holiday inn express. If I saw one cockroach in the 2-3 hours I was there, I guarantee there's a bigger problem. read more

Beware of hidden pet fees at this hotel!! We arrived at Woodspring Suites in Tukwila, WA, only to learn that there was a $10 pet fee (which was fine) AND an additional $50 cleaning fee for the pet! This information is nowhere to be found on the hotel website. Furthermore, the rooms are not even carpeted. I can't imagine what a $50 cleaning fee even goes toward, since there's no carpet to clean. I've been asked to leave the Woodspring Suites at 21 Remington, Little Rock, AR..I'm paid up through the 13th... We reported that my daughter had a positive Covid test after 530pm on Friday night, on Saturday when the front was open again. The desk is rarely occupied by a hotel rep... & No one answers the phone. For whatever reason the GM knocked on our door Saturday early afternoon. I slid the test result through the cracked door. He told us that we couldn't go from the room until the 13th. My self & my 4 children are here, while we look for another place to lease. My husband & oldest son brought us lysol, Clorox, Gatorade, meds, etc that we need to be safe in here while we are locked in & they are saying that violated the Covid rules and we have to leave. I am very sick and we have no where to go... I believe it is safer for the other guests and hotel staff if we stayed put until the 13th, which is what day we are paid through. Also, the GM and a lady that works here came to the room because the key wasn't working on Friday, then the maintenance man came into the room to fix the lock... They aren't quarantined... They should be. Is there anything that can be done so we won't have to leave until we have stayed the amount of days we paid through? He won't allow us to have a number to contact anyone of higher authority than he has. Please help. read more

For the most part, we had a nice stay. The staff is professional and informative, the room was very clean, modern/secured facility all the way around and for a very economical price. However, we ended up paying almost $300 for staying not even a full 12-hours (due to checking-in late). Since I booked on Expedia, I was aware of the pet fee and a pet deposit, but I was not aware that the $200 pet deposit was NON-REFUNDABLE (was not listed anywhere). I'm military and just got done traveling across the country and not one hotel that we stayed at had non-refundable deposit for anything, unless damage was involved. Once informed, after stating that I had a pet at check-in, I asked about cancelling our reservation but it was already too late for that and we decided to stay with hopes that the manager would extend a courtesy the next day. We had no such luck and were advised to try customer service. Although, customer service was eager to help, it was out of their hands as the hotel is privately owned. My dog is so well-mannered and well-behaved and obviously caused no damage and aside from seeing her, nobody could ever tell she was there. We ended up spending more for her presence then what we did for us actually using the room. Would not stay here again because of this. read more
