They had a two for one special on reflexology, so I had to try this 30 minute service. It was delightful. You lay down as if you are getting a massage but instead you get 30 minutes of foot massage. I almost fell asleep but was lulled into a peaceful relaxation that lasted all day. I will certainly return and plan on making this part of my monthly maintenance. 30 minutes is just the right amount of time to relax and have someone massage my feet. read more

Pretty overpriced. Bryce did my pedicure. She wasn't bad. She has been doing this professionally for under a year, which was apparent. Basically an intern. That should be in the $35 range. Not $50, which would be an experienced veteran. I'm from another state, where $45 gets you a phenomenal pedicure with massage from a very experienced person. Also, a lot of gossip flying, which is a bit offputting but not surprising for a salon. The pedicure was not bad. read more

It's October, I had a "spa finder" gift certificate, and they offer a 50 minute Pumpkin Spice Pedicure for $45......YES PLEASE! Desiree did a great job. She has strong skills- she scraped the dead skin, she massaged, she polished, she buffed. I closed my eyes and relaxed. The fragrance was so yummy. Like pumpkin pie. I really wanted to drink the pedicure water. Okay, maybe that would be gross... But the spices and the pumpkin and the relaxing feeling of having your legs and toes getting lots of attention is pretty nice. I picked an OPI color "Midnight in Moscow". Perfect for autumn. A dark brownish color. I love it. Thank you for making my skin feel great! read more

I've been coming here for about 6 months now. Initially I had won a gift certificate to a facial but the service has me coming back for a bit of everything. I had my facial with Vanessa and it was heavenly. She gives just the right amount of talking and isn't pushy about any of the products she us using or suggest to you. It is very refreshing to come to a place and hear about things that might be helpful but isn't pushed on you. The room for your facial is cozy and dimly lit for that relaxing feel. And of course you have your spa music. I know some people hate the zen/relax/chill music but I always like it. Now be warned, you are in a business that does more than facials, so you may hear a bit of outside noise but it has always been minimal. They were able to squeeze me in on the same day as my facial for a blow out, which for a curly girl like me is HEAVEN. Sabrina was da bomb.com and got my curly mess straight. She was kind enough to not laugh too hard at the haircut I had from a previous salon that had grown out pretty ratchet. And she knows how to do a blow out, on curly hair none the less. I booked my next visit right before leaving and have been coming monthly since then. I had my hair colored and my ratchet cut fixed. Been happy with everything! Just last week I had a basic manicure and it lasted me all week. But the best part was their was never an upsell. You know what I mean, ladies. You want basic and someone is trying to get you to go for an uber hand massage and gel nails. There was none of that nonsense at here. Everyone is friendly, non-pushy and seem to enjoy their job. The space is clean, bright and has cute decor. I personally think this is the area's best kept secret! read more

I just had a great basic pedicure with Donna. This is my 5th pedicure at the Eco Friendly Beauty Bar. Every time has been a real treat. I love their attention to detail from flavored water to a non-aerosol drying spray. My mom is in town and I was easily able to add her to my appointment. We had a very relaxing morning. I have not tried any of their other services, but would be open to trying more based on my pedicure experiences. read more

Eco Friendly Beauty Bar - Basic pedicure w/ a sparkly polish - Massage Near Me - Raleigh, North Carolina

Jamie who did my polish change and Lauren who did my eyebrows were great. However, the main reason that I chose this establishment was to indulge in a organic manicure after a hard year as a new mom. But, I had to have my polish redone three times because the nail tech didn't know how to apply polish. It was either thick and chunky our translucent. She seemed really confused about what she was doing and left my hands dry and cracked. She forgot to use the moisturizer for instance, so I asked before started to paint if I could have some. She replied that the moisturizer goes on after, which didn't seem right. Then as my nails were drying I asked for moisturizer and another nail tech was confused and told me that the woman helping me had accidently added it to my scrub. I asked if this was her first time doing nails and she said no. Earlier she checked my toe nail polish with her nail and ruined them. The staff saw all of these things occur yet I had to tell them to fix it, they were perfectly comfortable to watch me walk out with bad polish. It was insane. I received apologies and thanks for my patience and they were pleasant but they should have given me a discount or coupon our something. I was there from 1:15 until 3:30 getting my nails redone over and over. Yet they are still a bit sloppy, I have dry patches on my hands, random polish in areas. And the layers of polish were so thick that three hours later after letting them dry.at the salon, they all got needed up when I was eating dinner...and that's not even the whole story. read more

I set up a morning of pedicures for my family to celebrate something a positive change in our lives. The staff at Eco Friendly greeted me warmly as I arrived and was happy to discuss my options for treating the ladies in my life to a great pampering session. I never felt pressured for an upsell. One of the reasons I really was drawn to Eco Friendly over other establishments was the high ethical standard they held their products to. When I asked if they could accommodate two vegans in my party of five, one of the manicurists spoke up and told me that she was a vegan and everything in the pedicure package was vegan-friendly, otherwise she wouldn't be touching the stuff herself. When we arrived at our appointed time, the whole staff was waiting in the lobby area for us with smiles and warm welcomes. We were offered hot tea, cold water, etc. immediately. The pedicure area can handle up to three people at a time, so our party of five did need to be split up into two consecutive sessions. No worries. There are actually a bunch of cool eateries nearby. The ladies who worked with us were all very friendly and professional. They made sure that my wife and daughter felt pampered, and got in on the fun as my girls thought it would be a good idea for their dad to get a pedicure, too, complete with hot pink toenails. My teenage kid is already asking if she can have her birthday party here. We'll see about that (it's not as cheap as cake and favors, after all) but since she was the one who was *least* enthused about getting a pedicure, I'll take that as high praise. We all left with happy feet, in fact. And my pink toes were cuter than anyone else's. read more

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Took me in without an appointment, and I didn't wait too long. However, I asked twice about the cost of a set of gel nails, and was told "not much". [Note to self: ALWAYS get a firm price up front!] I requested gel, and Desire told me that shellac was better for my nails. I said that I had only had a few manicures in my life. Nothing really eco-friendly about the nail products though, which is ok. She did a beautiful job on my french nails. The bill: $35! Yikes! Eight days later, there were several small chips and one large one. I went back and a lady graciously patched them, but it was rather disconcerting to pay that much for something that lasted such a brief time. I have since learned that the gel I originally requested would have lasted 2-3 weeks. Bottom line: poor communication and overpriced. I won't be back. read more

I went for a facial, the aesthetician talked me into getting a peel, even after I told her I did a at home peel a few days earlier. She reassured me it would be fine. OK. The whole time I got to listen about her divorce and court hearing with her husband. Then when I was finished she proceeded to tell me I have sensitive skin, it was irritated! I should get all these products to help calm it. Humf! May have been from the peel you talked me into. Not happy. read more

I've been going to Eco Friendly Beauty Bar for over five years now and I absolutely love it! Cannot say enough wonderful things about this gem of North Raleigh! The staff are so knowledgeable and friendly. Tammy, at the front desk, is THE sweetest and most helpful and Lauren gives THE most amazing organic facials! Lauren is a very skilled esthetician. I leave my facials with her GLOWNG and love when I get compliments from others about my skin! Lauren is also super skilled at brow shaping and has helped me get them back to fuller brows, even after over-plucking in my earlier days! I love the products that they use - only organic, fresh, non-toxic - the same products and services I've paid more than triple the price at the Umstead or other five-star spas (but Eco is even better). I went to have my nails done a couple of months ago and I don't usually leave reviews but I feel as if I should this time. The lady at the reception desk(Tammy was her name), was one of the loudest, pushiest, unprofessional receptionists I've ever seen. The first time I went was last summer. I really liked my nail tech, she was GREAT. She was very concerned about sanitation and cleanliness. As much as I liked her, I didn't know if I could deal with Tammy again with her loud voice. I decided to give it another try and the tech I loved had left(and I'll bet I know why). The tech I had the next time was a throwback from the 1960s. Everything was " cool man and right on" She did an ok job but didn't wear gloves during the service so I'm sure sanitation wasn't a big priority. I kept picking out polish colors that were about empty and in bad shape. I will never go back there again. read more

Moved from Milwaukee , WI to Raleigh on 2/15. Yesterday, I was in the mode for a facial. After looking at Groupons, I was lucky to get in for a 10:15 facial. Now, I have to admit, I am addicted to facials. Well I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Janine is the owner and is very sweet. I had Lauren do my facial. She was very attentive and really cares about her clients. Tammy at the front desk was very helpful. I really enjoyed my visit and feel like I found a home away from home. Exactly what I've been looking for!!! Moved to raleigh about a year ago. I've gone to several places to get a pedicure and have not been impressed until now. I didn't have to wait for a chair, it's was filled and waiting. The water temp was perfect. Great conversation. Toes look amazing. Will definitely be going back to this full service salon. I have had two facials at Eco Friendly Beauty Bar with Kathryn and just had to leave a review. I have had many facials (have oily/acne skin) and have never found it worth going anywhere twice, usually just browse Groupon, but Kathryn is AMAZING. Everything about the facial is perfect, the products are wonderful, she does a really thorough job with extractions with consideration for how I'm feeling, the room is comfortable, the whole experience is very relaxing, and it's also very obvious that she's an expert and knows her stuff.
