don't order anything from this company Cove they are a scam. We cannot get our cameras to work. They've tried and we've tried numerous times and they tell us that the warranty time is over yet. We called them way before the warranty was over and they want our money so we are stopping payment on our card and I'm gonna file a complaint with the apparently these guys are awful scammers so don't get I want to rate them zero but apparently you have to hit one of the stars read more

Absolutely the worse! 6 weeks after ordering and troubleshooting system doesn't work. They don't have replacement equipment and won't refund. I reached out to the President with no reply. I purchased this system when COVE was a new company, in the summer of 2019 for about $300. I had the SimpliSafe Security system which met my needs but decided I'd give COVE a try. The advertisements for their system was great and I wanted to support a new business. From the very beginning I had issues. The first issue was connectivity with the panel. COVE was a new business and did not have the wireless coverage in my area to keep the system panel online; yet they sold me the system without any questions or concerns of wireless connections in my area. When I called for support they advised me to "take the panel outside to pick up a connection." The panel would pick up a connection and then drop the connection when I went back inside. I didn't have monitoring with SimpliSafe so it wasn't that big of a deal. So COVE provided me options which included keeping the system and using it as a deterrent if a door or window opened, the alarm on the panel would activate. Fast forward Eight months later, COVID hit and everyone in the world was quarantined, not at work and home all day everyday for months. While at home I discovered that my COVE panel was belting out in an EXTREMELY LOUD pitch "panel, communication error" at least three times a day. My elderly neighbor had previously informed me my computer (she thought it was a computer) was yelling out something about an error while I was at work. I thought she was hearing things but she was right, except it wasn't my computer, it was my COVE panel. I called COVE and they took me through a series of troubleshooting which did not work. The only thing happened after troubleshooting was the time of day the communication error would happen changed to the evening and middle of the night. Now the communication error was blaring out at 2am waking me up. Talk about being frustrated. So, once again, after speaking with several COVE customer service reps, it has been determined that the communication error cannot be turned off because their system is built for monitoring. Well it would have been nice to know this before I gave them my $300. They will not give a refund because it's past the return window and they will not offer any free monitoring which I had suggested and would consider since I was stuck with the system. They refused to do anything and told me the only way to get rid of the communication error is to activate the monitoring (which of course comes with a monthly monitoring fee). So I'm stuck with a system that I paid $300 for that is useless to me. They should have informed me their system is built for monitoring services only but they apparently was not aware of this until people start complaining. They couldn't have been aware or otherwise they wouldn't have tried to troubleshoot the issue multiple times. Now, my only option with getting rid of this annoying and irritating error message is to sign up for monitoring. I informed I would consider it if they would give me a month or two of free monitoring, SOMETHING for my troubles. They refused and told me "the system is for me to do what I choose). Wow! Just screw the customer! I do not recommend this company. They did not put the customer first in this case. I feel like I just drove down the street and threw $300 out the window.
