Jim the owner and Jeff spent a couple of hours going through the Heritage line with me and advising me on the best speaker for the size of my listening room. My living room is small and the Forte's were a great fit with outstanding sound and the just the right amount of bass. But with all of that being said probably the best compliment about the Forte's is that my wife said "What a difference in sound and she could hear instruments that she could not hear in our previous speakers (Buchardt A500's). If you are considering upgrading your current system or purchasing a new system go to AVI before going to Best Buy or RC Willey you will not be disappointed.

I just went to pick up a speaker from them that broke (it's for a local business, and was under warranty, but initially they tried to tell us it wasn't and upsell us on another product). They dropped the ball all week on managing expectations (promising the product would be overnighted, but it took several more days to arrive while they offered empty promises or ignored our pleas for information altogether). While I'll admit our company has been annoying with follow up (again, mismanaged expectations and lack of communication on AVI's part while our business was suffering), they were ready for a fight when the product finally arrived and I went to pick it up. I hadn't been communicating with AVI until now, I was just asked to pick up the product on behalf of the business. Now, I wasn't aware there would be a $95 service charge when I came to pickup, and I questioned it (I've never dealt with a company that charges to diagnose their product's issues if they fall under warranty). Immediately after questioning the fee the Lady employee (owner? manager?) became emotionally charged and rude, glaring at me and raising her voice defensively. I was willing to pay so I could move on with my life but they only accept card/cash, and all I had on me was Apple Pay. Again, the female employee was very aggressive and refused to offer any alternatives for me to pay, holding our package hostage unless I paid the fee (which I was willing to pay even though I disagreed with it, but they wouldn't send the business an invoice or offer any other alternatives). I was uncomfortable with the lady's unhinged behavior, as she continued to glare and raise her voice at me. She was storming away with my package (again, why the hatred? I still don't understand why she was so emotionally charged) when an employee that we'd been working with directly came in and magically had a Stripe machine that I could pay with. I'm not sure why that woman was so suddenly aggressive towards me, but I hope she and AVI Systems is embarrassed for her behavior. In conclusion, AVI has severed a relationship with our business by shattering our trust in their product and goodwill, their lackluster/deceitful communication and my experience with their aggressive employee.

I would give 0 stars if possible.They…read moreonly care about you until they get your money and then leave you high and dry when it comes to future customer service. Estimate given for install time was a 3 days. It ended up taking them 3 weeks start to finish. They tried to charge me for painting my wall when their management agreed it would be waived due to the painting needing to be completed becuase of mistakes made by their installer. After they took my money they have ghosted me. When I called them to honor the warranty for the $500 subwoofer they installed which blew out 6 months after install. They have yet to respond 3 years later after repeated attempts to reach out for assistance. Also the projector does not always fully boot up and was installed way to close to the back wall to where the hdmi cord is kinked. I could go on and on. There are too many problems to name with install, quality of product and most of all customer service. There has been a real feeling of hostility and animosity from this company ever since the shoddy workmanship they performed and collected the check. 3 1/2 years later and I have little hope they will ever try to make things right. If they are still in bussiness and you are concidering them to do a custom install for you. I recomend to run away as fast as you can before you go through what we did.

    Ben was easy to contact and quickly set a date to come to my home. Nate came to my home on the…read moreappointed date and time. He was very thoughtful, polite, and thorough. He initially inspected all aspects of our internet and tv connections. We use CenturyLink for internet service. He tested this service for speed. Although we were told we should receive information at 40 mb/s, he could not receive more than 20 in spite of the new modem we had just installed. He suggested several things that he thought might improve our internet and wifi reception. These have improved reception and consistency throughout the house but have not increased internet speed. Because our remotes (10 year old Control 4) were battle worn and out of date, they suggested and replaced ours with logitech. I was very dissatisfied with these. Reporting this to Ben, Nate soon returned and replaced the Logitech with another brand. We are much more satisfied with the new replacements, which are much more intuitive and easily used. My only complaint is that we didn't identify at first our desire for more user friendly remotes than the Logitech. This resulted in increased time and replacement of the recently installed controllers. Nate has been very accommodating and helpful. His knowledge, skill, and personality are very comfortable, and make us feel very prone to call upon him if and when we need additional assistance.
